I had my 2015 Kia Soul I bought new towed here after it broke down. Leading up to the breakdown the car had been burning a quart of oil every 4 days, had its check engine light on and and its oil light on even though I topped it off each day. The dealership said I was lucky because Kia had extended the engine warranty to 150,000 miles and I most likely need a new engine. It took 10 weeks for waikem just to inspect it. I got a phone call 48 hours ago saying that even though my engine has problems it’s not the exact problem that caused the recall and I’m pretty much out of luck. Also that they can’t keep in running so I need a new fuel pump for $800. I’m no mechanic but should an engine warranty cover an engine problem? Also finding this out 70 days ago would have been nice instead of going 10 weeks with no car. I told the mechanic I was surprised they did nothing to the engine, he said drive it to it breaks down and hopefully I’ll be covered when the extend the engine warranty again because of its manufacture defects. I can’t even trade it in for any amount worth it because this year and model has little value based on all the engine problems. I’ve purchased two new Kia’s over the last 7 years, but probably won’t be buying another Kia and probably wouldn’t take my car to a shop that takes 10 weeks to look at my car and try to charge me $800 to install a $60 part.

Told me 4 weeks ago mine is next to go into shop. Called the next week told the same thing, didnt call the week after that, Called this past week and no one would answer my call. I will drive to Bedford from now on.

Came in for an oil change, was told Kia recommended all this other services. Now if you would have called me and discussed this before hand I wouldnt have gotten so upset and the the service tech proceeds to chew me out for my attitude. Dude, I just buried my mother, I dont need your grief.

I purchased my 2020 Everlasting Silver Telluride from Waikem Kia, located in Massillon, Ohio. If this experience had not occurred, I personally would have a hard time believing it if someone had told it to me. My experience is almost like the script of commercial or a promotional short film. This was the single greatest experience I have ever had during the purchase of ANYTHING in my entire life. First, the initial encounter I had with the dealership during my cold call was with a young man by the name of Josh Tracy. He was not involved in the sale of the vehicle, but he was gracious enough to answer most of the question we had and let the Wayne and Jeff Ross that we were interested in a vehicle. This was Friday and even more impressive, AFTER HOURS. I informed Josh that we had an out of town soccer trip and we would not be home for a few days by email but that the appropriate party could call us while we were away. I had no idea I would be getting my credit checked at half time a soccer game but the persistence of Wayne Ross made it happen. Did I fail to mention I was in Texas? Wayne Ross was helpful in this endeavor he acted as a de facto travel agent. He made suggestions about flights, hotel arrangements, rental car locations and anything else you could think of. He even volunteered to pick me up from the airport. I thought he was kidding. I settled on a flight, from Houston,to Cleveland arriving at 1:35am local time and Wayne was there to get me...at 1:35am local time. I was impressed he would do this for a customer!! My first inclination was whether he had a life. My lasting impression is that this guy’s life is doing great work. He drove me to my hotel, picked me up and took me to the dealership the next morning and handed me off to his brother Jeff Ross, who was equally impressive. Jeff drove me to and from the bank, we talked about kids, family and life in general. I feel like I have known both Ross brothers all my life. They were very generous and authentic.Once Jeff handed me the keys, he began to orientate me on features. He was very informative and knowledgeable. He answered every question I could come up with.During my trip home, Jeff and Wayne called me several times. Because of them, this entire process changed the standard I will have for any other large purchases I will ever make. This is how this process should be for everyone. The other salespersons I have dealt with in any other area should be asked to attend the Wayne and Jeff Ross/Josh Tracy school of how to deal with a customer. They made it easier to purchase my 2020 Telluride than my local Texas dealers. I would do it all over again and I have encouraged my neighbors and friends if they want a KIA, to travel from wherever they are to get to Waikem KIA any way they can. Wish I could give a review of their service but they didnt give me any. My boyfriend set up an appointment for me for the 18th. Called a week ahead of time to confirm appointment. The woman I talked to on the phone confirmed the appointment on the 18th. We dropped the car off on the 17th. On the 18th received a text to confirm my appointment on the 19th. Confused I called and talked to a woman and told her my problem and that the car was already there. She said that it was ok that it was already there and confirmed they would call when it was done. 4:30 and I called and they told me they wouldnt look at it until the 19th when the appointment was. Sorry cant afford for them to have my car for 48 hours. Went and picked it up and they didnt even ask why I picked up before service was complete.

Got a Forte from Jared on May 7 who handled the rather efficient process adeptly. I arrived at the dealership around 0930 AM and by around 1 PM I finally left for home, having traded a dangerous 2010 Ford Focus for the 2017 Forte with 37k miles, a five-year service contract, TST treatment, and Advantage Care. My payments are $192 for 60 months. The financial wiz in sales, the relaxed and engaging service staff, and the honest appraiser all were wonderful. Thanks everybody!

Waikem has been by far the BEST car buying experience I have ever had, and Ive had numerous brands of cars. When I say I am usually underwhelmed at a car dealership, I mean it. Waikem did NONE of the conventional salesman tricks. They were up front about price, and utilized all possible rebates to get me to a number I was happy with. First time looking at a car because I wanted to just see what it was like. Salesman brought out the sales manager even though I made it clear from the beginning that I was not there to buy a car. The sales manager (unfortunately I can’t remember his name) was rude, pushy and degrading. Told me I “needed to smile.” I would never buy anything from this place because of this man. Extremely disappointed and disgusted.

Such an all around awful experience, we ended up with a car but we’ve had to track our sales man down he didn’t return a single one of our calls, promised an suv to drive while they detail our new vehicle which wasn’t at the lot the night we went to purchase and went back and hadn’t been touched, go to drop off our vehicle that took over a week to schedule detail because no one would call us back after countless messages left excuse after excuse they gave us a car after promised an suv as we have 4 children. I wouldn’t send me worse enemy there!! Uneducated unable to answer questions lazy and just don’t seem interested in selling to anyone.

Jeff Ross told me that the Sorento i was buying had lane assist and thats why it feels like your steering is drifting, well that was a lie and he was to call me back this evening and no call. I have bought twice before from Waikem Hyundai and had no problems but I will never buy from them again, I will take my business elsewhere.
