We used one of the name brands to service our AC/Furnace units since we built our home. When it came time to replace the unit, they quoted a price that was way above my expectations after my research.In comes Self, who was referred to me by another satisfied customer, and they not only beat the price substantially (Same Manufacturer and equipment) but also were more responsive throughout the process. When it was install day, they showed up on time, did the job right and left the work space in better condition than when they got here. Ill recommend them to anyone looking for service and/or installation.Support Local business, better service, and better pricing!

You know how everyone says they have a guy but most times their guy is not the guy. My neighbor recommended their HVAC guy and I realized immediately I finally had a guy.Self is amazing!They service my home and a rental property. I never had any problems with reliability, work or the price.It is usually one of the family owners that respond to service requests. John Self is the best. And I cant forget to mention Kelly. She handles scheduling and billing like a boss. She is very responsive - she makes the whole process feel effortless.Ive been using them for years. I called them when I had paint bubbling under my uninsulated HVAC ducts, which I suspected was from condensation on the ducts. They came out and took a look, gave me an honest opinion and didnt take the easy opportunity to sell me on the expensive project of cutting open the ceiling to insulate the ducts. They said it was probably just a one-time thing and then didnt even charge me the diagnostic fee I was expecting. That was a few months ago, and I havent had any more problems so I think they were right. It takes a very honest business to come out for free and then not try to sell anything.

After my friend has used Self for her flips and her own home, it was a no brainer to use for replacing a very old furnace. They are upfront and honest, no gimmicks. We have been using Self for a little over two years now, and theyre hands down the best HVAC repair company weve ever used. John has more than once gone above and beyond to make sure our home is comfortable and safe.When our pressure switch failed on our unit he was out here the same day to replace the part. In addition he ran through the system completely and ran it through a few cycles to make sure he was satisfied with the results.

We discovered Self when we needed our new system recharged. Self charged only for the refrigerant they used, others had a minimum charge. We then decided to use them for our regular service and have found their prices to be better than just competitive.

Our HVAC guy retired and we were referred to John. Our unit went out after office hours and he called us regardless and walked me through how to fix it myself. Self Heating & Cooling SHINES among HVAC companies.I feel it was a blessing to have found them.MY AC went out the hottest week in August. From the moment Kelly answered the phone the care and concern for me and how to get me cool was genuine. She had said if they can get the unit going they would see what they could do and if it turned out I needed a new unit they had portable unit they could leave until installation. Chad came out to see what was going on with my unit. He said the motor was gone, he could put a motor in and we discussed all options. Since the AC unit was a 20 year old unit with numerous parts already attached, I opted for a new unit. Chad still put a motor in the current unit to keep it running until they could install the new unit. Talk about Service this company has the old fashioned values and true care and concern for their customers which is rare to find these days. The quote was very fair. The service men were timely professional and as I popped outside from time to time to check on them (offer water to drink) I noticed they were meticulous with what they were doing. Having your AC go out at the hottest time of year is stressful for many reasons. It was very refreshing to find a company whose people shine in every area of taking care of their customer. These guys are the BEST! When our downstairs AC unit went out, the team at Self Heating & Cooling did everything possible to get us back up and running quickly. They even brought a portable air unit for us to use until they could get our new unit installed. They have amazing communication from the first call, through installation, and even a follow up when they are done. Friendly and reliable. Chad to the rescue! Our A/C was not going below 80 degrees for several days and with a newborn I was desperate to get someone over as soon as possible! I recently contacted Self HVAC for service. Chad himself came and inspected my unit and the service in question. He did some minor adjustments and gave suggestions at no charge. I received a quote for the work and had great followup from the office and schedulers. When the required a bit of extra work per the technician the final bill was true to the estimate. The quality of work was excellent and the company proved itself ethical. 5+ stars!

My air conditioner stopped working the night before temperatures were going to be in excess of 100 degrees. I called Self Heating and Cooling the next morning and John fit me into his schedule for that day, even though they were understandably very busy. He was very professional and was able to fix the problem and get my AC working immediately. This is an experienced, reputable company who I would definitely call again and would recommend to anyone.
