Having moved to Maplewood last year brought up the dilemma of finding a barber. Ive been going to the same guy for 10 years along with my son and this was a big choice, very happy i picked this place. Both my son and i had perfect haircuts, exactly what we asked for, and we both had a great first time experience.Karen was our Barber and she couldnt have done a better job. Definitely going back

We’ve been coming to village barber for almost 15 years. They cut both my son’s hair many many times. We’ve used many of their different barbers and they are all great. Super easy to just walk in and get a cut. Definitely recommend!

I have been going to village barber for over 20 years and I can honestly say it is a great place to get a haircut! The staff is very welcoming and professional. The haircuts themselves are always exactly to my liking and have never had any issues. Not only have i gotten my haircuts there over the years, one of their staff came to my grandmothers house once a month to cut her hair when she was unable to leave the house. They are the best!Great haircuts at a fair price with a great staff!

A few months back I stopped in at Village Barber for a quick haircut…wow! Amazing haircuts (I’ve been back a few times) at a great price. The shop is set up well and following all safety protocols making you feel comfortable during your visit. I’ve always thought that the sign of a good haircut is how things look/feel about 2-3 weeks after, and I can say that the cuts at this shop hold up until you’re ready for your next visit! A new favorite!!

Have gone here for years and Bernie and crew are always so nice. They greet you warmly and do a great job. Excellent neighborhood barber glad they made it through snd are still open.

I have been using the Village Barbershop for many years with great haircuts at a reasonable price. During the pandemic, Bernie has carefully isolated each chair to protect his patrons and professional staff. I feel completely comfortable and safe in the shop.

Have been going for many years. Friendly staff provides good cuts at favorable rates. The shop is kept immaculately clean. The staff works efficiently and COVID safe-will get you out the door with little wait time.

Our family has been going to Village Barbershop for years. Bernie, Karin and the rest of the staff are top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend them.They follow COVID protocols, so you dont need to worry about that.

I have been going to this Village Barbers for YEARS. They were closed for several months during this CRAZY pandemic. My son sees Bernie (who he thinks is absolutely wonderful), and I see Maria, (who I feel is equally as wonderful!). There is nothing fancy about this place, so if youre looking for a razzle-dazzle, fancy-dancy place, then do NOT come here. On the other hand, if youre looking for plain, simple, and no bulls**t haircuts by people who are nice, with a wonderful chair-side manner, CLEAN and EXPERTS at what they do, then THIS IS YOUR PLACE !I used to go to those upscale places who charge $50 or more, for a mens haircut (which i think is absolutely insane!!!)...but my hair grows back equally as fast and when i calculate the monies involved, i could likely put away money for a kids college education instead!..And then - - I also used to go to those mass super cutting places but I never knew what kind of afflicted person I would get on the rotation cutting the hair on my head (russian roulette)Why I am writing now is because having gone there since Bernie re-opened, I am really REALLY impressed with the measures they have taken to be covid-cautious, with tall and wide partitions between each chair, mandatory masks, intense breakdown in between clients (haircuts).When I went last month, they were so busy, you could go by appointment only. Then, when I recently went, they were very slow (which is unusual) and I suspect that is the case because people are still afraid to go out, given the hysteria and fears over covid-19. While I have the same concerns about going out during this crisis-mess, I felt quite comfortable in this small establishment with all the precautions Bernie has takenI have always supported small business ma and pa operations, and seeing whats going on in our community, I thought I might leave a review telling everyone how nice, careful and wonderful Bernies barber shop is! I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I encourage you, my friends and my family to patronize Village Barbers

Great local traditional barbers with friendly, experienced staff. Maria and Shannon are my go-to stylists, but Ive never had a bad cut there in 15+ years. No long waits even on a Saturday.

Village Barbers has always been my go to spot for haircuts, beard trims, etc. They have been delivering consistent service for at least 20 years. I of course have my favorite barbers, but dont want to overly influence others choices. Prices are very reasonable, and you can get a haircut/style that would cost much more at higher/fancier salons. My girlfriend also goes there. I would give this a 5 Star if they had any method of reserving a time, but for now its first come/first serve. During the week early is good, plus mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Avoid Saturdays since this is kids/family day and is absolutely crazy (unless you have kids, then join the party, they are very good with kids).
