Summer did an amazing job on my eyebrows. I couldnt be happier with her work. Some places Ive been to only wax mine, but she trimmed, waxed, and tweezed mine to ensure they were shaped perfectly.

This salon has improved so much under its new ownership that it is the only place that I patronize, and I freely recommend it to my friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell there and other hair care products as well. They suggest products that are best for your hair.I also like that the new owners are present, interested, and responsive to suggestions from staff and customers. To me, that is the difference between local and corporate ownership. To the previous dissatisfied reviewers, I suggest they give Smart Style Hair Salon another try. A little calm in the chaos that is Walmart. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Mae always tells it how it is, not just appeases the customer. I regularly get a stylish do that compliments my round face.I always leave satisfied...both with my style and the prices.

I have most wonderful stylist Mae. I could not find anyone to do my hair Waves and help to be healthy. The great thing about it, my husband loves it. I will continue to come to have Mae Adams to do my hair. I Thank God for her.

One overworked stylist on staff. Hours say open until 6pm on Sundays, but they actually close at 4pm.

The beautician May was awesome! I was from out of this state and she made my visit so pleasant. Very congenial. And she did an awesome set--I just wanted a shampoo and set.

I have never been more unimpressed with a salon. I expected my braids to be done in one day. I arrived at 9:30, and I was expecting to leave around 3:30-4:00. To start, my hairdresser arrived an hour later than I did. I sat in the chair for over eleven and a half hours and she still was not done. While she was doing my hair, she said things like, If it was up to me, I wouldnt even be doing these braids for you. The next day, I went back to get it finished. She told me it would be done in two hours, but it took three and a half. I was a little grumpy that I had been stuck in the salon the night before the first day of school, but I was happy that it was done. I arrive home to find out that almost half of the braids are already undone. I dont know how I am going to style my hair for school. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE, YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. 10/10 would not recommend. Never coming again.

There was a young woman who worked at the arnold shop. Her name was Jessica. They closed the arnold shop and moved her to the Maplewood shop. So I do not use Smart Style Hair Salon any more.

I go to the beauty salon to get my hair cut and dyed. I get there at 10 am waited until 11 AM and they still didnt open!!!!! I called to complain but all I got was an apology and a $5 gift card! I had to catch two buses and a train to get there now Im on my way to a different place to get my hair done! FRUSTRATING!!!
