He then offered to come back to help demonstrate how to apply the treatment once when we had it in-hand. We greatly appreciated this and his help on the second trip to our home -- both at no cost to us.Once the full chemical treatment by us was done, we scheduled another inspection and cleaning (a third visit) with Brennan and his team. As in prior visits, they were very professional and thorough and took great care to protect our home. Thanks to them, we are good for next season and plan to have Winstons return annually for our chimney inspections, cleanings and maintenance.

Winstons did a great job on our chimney repair and wood burning fireplace inserts. Ryan provided detailed estimates and went over all the options so we could decide on the best solution. Darrell and Gilberto expertly installed the fireplace inserts and flues, and Gilberto and his crew were efficient and effective up on the roof fixing the chimney and installing the cap. These guys were professional, cleaned everything up better than when they arrived, and were respectful and careful with my house.

My experience initially started with Christian and his helper. Timely, efficient, professional and pleasant to work with. Photos were taken and shared throughout the service. Issues were pointed out, discussed and a plan was created. I was given options - Ignore the issues or fix the issues. An estimate was promptly emailed with an opportunity to accept or reject - and payment options - including 12 months same as cash - how can you go wrong?!BTW - The financing option was easy...A couple of weeks later, I was contacted to arrange repair. Daniel and his crew of 3 were great..... They cam on one day for exterior work. The exterior work was delayed due to weather.... a plan was quickly made - and the work completed. All that was needed was water and electricity access.Honestly, you would never know anyone was here - no mess - 100% clean up. I knew our chimney needed to be rebuilt but Winstons did a thorough inspection (more than anyone else we got quotes from) of our entire system before recommending additional services to be done (inspection done by Ryan). Their prices were competitive with other quotes we had for similar chimney rebuild work and we chose Winstons because I knew the additional repairs they recommended needed to be done anyway and made sense to get it all done at once. They (Brian and Johnathan) rebuilt the chimney above the roofline with new brick and put a crown and cap on it, relined the flue, and put in new vents from our water heater and furnace to a single connection with the flue. They did a fantastic job, completed the work in a day, explained everything they were doing, were respectful, and cleaned up completely. We are very pleased with everything and I already recommended Winstons to a co-worker.

I was very happy with Winstons. Their quote was very thorough and they provided numerous before and after pictures. Online payment was easy. They were responsive and easy to communicate with. Daniel Calderon Oscar did a fantastic job of installation. We were pretty sure he was going to have to put a hole in our wall to access the chimney from the furnace but he managed to avoid it.

In my experience, Winstons is major league while everyone else is sandlot baseball. They were by far the most professional of any of the three companies from whom I got estimates for this job. They provided a detailed account of the chimneys condition including photos and a detailed estimate of the repair work they would undertake. We postponed for several months because of COVID but when I finally felt it was safe they scheduled the work surprisingly soon. I was kept constantly informed, even when the workmen were leaving Manassas for my home. Daniel Lopez and his partners were meticulous in their work. Unfortunately, on the second day I believe they were rushing to beat approaching storms and one section was not done to my satisfaction. I took a photo and emailed it to Ryan. He agreed and scheduled another visit without the slightest hesitation. Lorenz Lopez and his partner really did a wonderful job that day. I am very happy now with the results. I still have the Winstons yard sign up and have already been asked by two neighborhood couples whether I would recommend Winstons. Winstons Chimney Service previously did some work for us and we were very happy, so when another Chimney company told us that we had some damage in our flue, we contacted Winstons to get a second opinion. A neighbor recommended Winstons and the company did a fine, skilled job. After a comprehensive assessment of our fireplace and chimney they provided recommended and discussed repairs. They also suggested that I contact my insurance to find whether my policy would cover part of parts of the repairs. With an initial video inspection by Winstons there was evidence of a possible chimney fire in the 50-year-old fireplace. Without issues, State Farm sent a significant payment that we put toward the restoration. Their crews worked hard and well and kept us informed of what they were doing, and why. I called Winston Chimney to set up an appointment to inspect my chimney. I was sent a tech named Ryan Hall, who gave me a $7,300 estimate to do some repairs on my chimney. Few, days later two other local chimney companies came to my house to give me a second opinion in regards of the estimate that Ryan have given me previous. Very surprisingly that the estimate that Ryan had given me was not even close to the work that needed to be done to my chimney. I called Winston Back again asked to speak to the manager. The manager Richard, answered the phone all I got from this manager was rude and no common sense answers. I totally recommend not to call this company because they are dishonest, unknowledgeable and all this company wants is to steal your money. They do not deserve no stars.

Chimney technicians Daniel Calderon and Oscar repaired our homes chimney, specifically installing a new chimney sleeve while also correcting a potentially dangerous situation involving the venting of our furnaces exhaust. In addition to making our home safer and improving the operational efficiency of our furnace, Mr. Calderon and Oscar treated our residence as if it were their own homes. As part of the installation, Mr.Calderon had to remove part of the wall paneling and trim. After the install Mr. Calderon did his best to replace the cut pieces and re-align them so that I could repair and paint them, instead of merely leaving the pieces on the floor for me to deal with on my own. Additionally, a few days after the install, I had a couple of questions that I had forgotten to ask Mr. Calderon. After contacting the office, Mr. Calderon promptly returned my call and fielded my questions. Thanks, Winstons! The entire cost was $3,557.00.

I have used Winstons for chimney cleaning in the past, and they have always been professional, timely, courtesy of my home, diligent with insuring my home remained clean of any soot from the chimney cleaning. When I noticed some water coming into the fireplace area, they were timely to get a technician to come inspect/give an estimate for repairs. The tech took time to show me pictures of the problem, was through to explain his assessment and possible solutions.I had my Chimney repaired and later had the Rain Cap installation completed. My Tech was Daniel Lopez. He gave me a courtesy call before his arrival, was on time for the project, respectful that I had landscaping around the chimney area and oversaw that the worksite was cleared of any debris when the job was completed. he was very professional, checking in with me before the project to review what would be doing, and then reviewed with pictures the before/after. They also finished the project earlier than anticipated. I would highly recommend and will continue to use Winstons for any further needs.

The Winstons crew went out of their way to complete a very difficult and time consuming project involving 4 fireplaces, 5 chimney flues, and associated masonry work. All of the work was done on time and for the price proposed at the beginning. There were no up charges or change orders required. The price was considerably less than the other bids received for the work.Although I have not had the opportunity to try out al of the restored and repaired fireplaces and chimneys, I expect that I will be satisfied with the operation of them in the next heating season. They have assured me that any problems will be addressed.The three technicians, Daniel, Mauricio, and Roberto were well qualified and professional. Winstons performed a fireplace renovation of sorts and did a great job. Ryan Hall clearly explained how a fire place works and the potential pitfalls and solutions with converting our wood burning fireplace from single sided to double sided. His installation team lead by Daniel Lopez performed the work professionally despite some communication failures at the beginning. Daniel and Oscar were fantastic. We purchased a zero clearance wood burning furnace to replace our gas fire place from another company several months ago. We didnt realize and they didnt realize that the blower for the furnace was external to the unit. The aesthetically pleasing thing to do was to install the blower in the basement and run the ductwork thru the base of the fireplace dog house. The company I purchased the unit from tried to do this but couldnt get thru the cement base. They then recommended an installation approach that would require modification to the exterior of my house. I called Winstons. Ryan came and gave me and estimate and then two week later, Daniel and Oscar were able to run the ductwork thru the base of fireplace dog house and into my basement. I am very pleased with their professionalism, timeliness, and quality! If you need anything done related to your fireplace or are thinking of getting one installed, CALL THEM.

Ive gone with cheaper chimney services in the past, but at times felt the job was rushed. Ive decided its worth the peace of mind going with Winstons for staff that are conscientious about the work. The crew consisting of Daniel C and Oscar Caliz spent 2-1/2 days on the repair work. They were professional, respectful and courteous while performing their work of masonry repair, flue relining (2x), damper cap combo (2x) and installation of a fabricated water penetration mitigation, with stainless steel custom outside Mount chimney cap, Daniel kept us advised throughout. accordingly.. They were spotless in leaving everything clean and orderly. In addition, Daniel provided appropriate instruction on operating of the flues, testing, etc.

Weve always been happy with Winstons for cleaning our chimney and this time they discovered that more work was needed for this 70-year old chimney. Photos on the tablet gave detailed graphic justification for the work that needed to be done, and they were very clear in their explanations of both what needed to be done and how it would be done. Winstons Chimney Service recently installed a chimney rain cap despite the freezing weather conditions. Ice and snow were on the ground when they built a scaffold 30 feet up to reach the chimney. We had our chimney with three flues brought up to code, repaired, and cleaned. The Winston’s team, featuring Daniel Calderon and his counterpart, Oscar, always called before arriving, were always on time, and the quality of work was excellent. They not only cleaned up after themselves, but took the time to clean up some clutter in the driveway from another project/different contractor. Daniel happily walked us through some safety and usage basics and all Winston’s reps made it readily apparent we could call any time if we had questions of concerns. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Adonay and Oscar Yamas provided very professional and friendly service when they came to our home to install a chimney cap. They clearly explained what their work process was going to be and when they were finished, showed pictures of the work and pointed out potential issues with the roof flashing that their company doesnt even specialize in fixing. Price for the work was good and they completed the project in about an hour. Would highly recommend!!!

We have owned our house for 10 years and although its been cleaned and inspected in the past, this was the first time I had it inspected with a camera. During the inspection, which I watched on the screen, it was determined that I needed a new liner and crown.The day of the new liner and crown came and Edgar and Jonathon got to work. Edgar kept me informed of what they were going to do and showed me pictures before and after pictures of the new liner and new crown. Due to wind, they couldnt apply the water resistant spray so they returned about a week later to apply that and take the plastic that was protecting the crown. Edgar and Jonathon did a great job. If I needed more chimney work done, I would try to have them come to do it.

We had a rough start with Winstons as it took almost 10 days (and 3 phone calls) to get a proposal. Due to their schedule this delay meant we were unable to get on the install schedule until January after a mid October appointment. While this was challenging the installation was flawless. Eric, Jason and Todd were GREAT! They called on installation day and arrived on time. They took all the necessary safety precautions and were very communicative regarding their services and schedule. Todd did a great job running the interior gas line and only had to cut out one small section of drywall (we had been warned that due to the distance from the port to the fireplace that multiple cuts would be needed). Todd was also patient explaining the fireplace and remote operation as well as how to schedule our follow-up inspection. Had the proposal process been smoother we would have given them a 5 star review.

As a result of a third story addition to my home a chimney extension was required to bring it to code and correct a downdraft issue. Winston’s provided exceptional service from initial survey thru construction. Ever and his crew performed the brick work to raise the chimney an additional 7+ feet, install a flue liner and ensure the proper hookups to my gas furnace and water heater. Their work was of the highest quality and they were attentive to every detail while completing the job in a timely manner without rush nor delay. Ever and crew were masked at all times when inside my house and/or needing to consult with me on different aspects of the job. They ensured that I was always aware of the status of the work being performed. In all it was a pleasure to observe Winston’s crew in action; they worked well and efficiently together, no doubt that is why I now have a beautiful chimney. It pleased me greatly to see the obvious joy and pride they took in their craftsmanship...it is deserved.

Although this review is about 3 months overdue, I did not want 2020 to end without saying how pleased we were with Winstons. From Ryans inspection and estimate to the chimney work done by Daniel Flores and Mauricio Roberto everything was handled in a timely and professional manner. We will definitely use Winstons again (but hopefully now we wont need to) and have already recommended them to our friends and neighbors.

Winstons just completed repairs in our firebox and flue and also installed a stainless steel liner. Eric and Jason were professional, neat, and incredibly hard-working. Called to have our chimney cleaned and inspected knowing it had been a couple of years since it was done and we use the fireplace frequently. Kevin came and he and his partner were totally professional. Did and inspection and told us of some fire prevention things we could do around the hearth. Cleaned the fireplace and chimney and cleaned up afterwards leaving no mess. Good pricing and we will use them for regular servicing from here out.

We contracted with Winstons to install four gas inserts in our new home. Their marketing lead, Ryan spent time in our home helping us finalize product selection, which is something their competitors would not do. Their technician, Todd and his assistant did an excellent job completing the installation in a very professional manner. We couldnt be more pleased with how this project turned out and recommend Winstons without hesitation.

They called every morning prior to arriving, kept us up to date on how they were progressing, the cleaned up every evening and never stopped working. We had the entire chimney re pointed, a new crown installed and the flu lined. A very expensive and complex job. Ever shared photos of the before and after and the crew was very proud of their work. Kevin and Jordan came by today and restored our fireplace to top operating condition. Before the service, we had smoke and soot accumulating on the inside of the fireplace and smoke in the room. Kevin thoroughly examined and cleaned our fireplace. We thought we might have to replace it, but its working as good as new. We are very pleased with their service and highly recommend them and their company.

Original multi-day job turned out to be more challenging than they originally thought, so Oslim and Gilberto worked a Saturday in the pouring rain to maintain overall schedule. Wintons recapped two of my chimneys and lined a fireplace. They performed an inspection, answered my questions and communicated with me multiple times to confirm date and time of appointment. Daniel Lopez and his crew called before arrival to give me an ETA, and they arrived on time. Professional, courteous and they kept me in the loop on the work they were doing. Good quality work done in a shorter period of time than I was expecting at a price that was better than two other companies who also gave me proposals. I would use them again.

Jeff Shear and his crew have been fabulous in diagnosing and explaining multiple issues weve had with a very old chimney. We had a heat-shield reline and new damper put in, and everyone that came to the house was really professional and pleasant. They were also all masked whenever inside for Covid purposes. Special shout out to Edgar and Jonathan who were here most recently. We will definitely use Winstons again, hopefully now just for routine cleanings.

Dans inspection was fantastic! He spent an hour at the house, answering all of my questions and helping me understand what needs to be done to keep my pre-fab fireplace in good working order. Upon completion of his inspection, he quickly provided me with an estimate for necessary work. Ill be using Winstons for any of my future fireplace and chimney needs!

Great experience with Ryan, Daniel and Jonathan-chimney inspection, rebuild and relining after two other local companies gave us unacceptable bids. Everything was explained and clearly documented, and the work itself proceeded in an organized, safe, clean and efficient manner. I was shocked there was almost no dust and little noise for a complete knockdown and rebuild of our flue. I highly recommend Winston for fireplace and chimney work!!

Their excellent team - Ever, Jorge and Ernesto - also installed a new stainless steel rain cap over the rebuilt chimney crown. We were very pleased with both the work and the service provided by Eric, Jason and Doron. We have a 60yr old house and our chimney needed new heat sealant in order for us to use the fireplace. Top notch company. Adonay and his crew were polite, respectful, and professional. Repairs included crown reconstruction and smoke chamber. We had had a different contractor repair the crown originally and the work they did was substandard, definitely not up to code. Winstons did a great job fixing and bringing to code what the previous company had done, and they recommended additional repairs. They made sure we understood why the repairs were needed, showing us pictures of difficult to see interiors of the chimney. We trusted their recommendations and are happy with their work. They also did our chimney cleaning on a previous visit, and we were happy with that, too.

Todd installed my new fireplace and he did an excellent job. His knowledge as a master gas fitter made the install seamless. The minor issues that arose, Todd and his team mitigated them effortlessly and made me feel comfortable with my choice to move forward with Winstons. I am enjoying my new fireplace!

Chimney needed a bit or mortar work on top and in the smoke box. The Winston people charged off and completed the work expeditiously and in professional manner. Daniel Lopez headed the crew and detailed to me what was going on as I sometimes hovered about watching them work. They were done on one day and left the outside and inside clean. A great job! I used Winston Chimney Service for chimney repair work. They removed the crown and replaced with new concrete. Also removed loose and deteriorated mortar and fill it back with cement of closest color match.Start off - the office manager called to remind me of the scheduled service and the name of the team leader a day in advance. The team leader, Ever called 30 minutes before arrival as I requested. Upon arrival he outlined work that will be done and provided an approximate time line to finish. They followed the covid protocol of protection and distancing.The team members comprising Ever, George and Ernest did an excellent job of repairing my chimney. They took a picture before and after the repair and I was pleased to note that at the tend that the repair work was well done. They were professional, courteous and provided timely communication on work progress. All in all - I rated their work as outstanding.

Kevin was very professional. He called me to let me know he was on his way and was very prompt. Once he arrived, I showed him the fireplace and he went to work. He was able to walk me through the type of lining my fireplace had and that it would be very easy to clean. After he finished cleaning, he gave me a discount along with a potential proposal for future fireplace upgrading and servicing if I needed it in the future.
