I didn’t have the best experience. According to the webpage a manicure is supposed to include a spray & warm towel wrap to begin. My nail tech skipped these steps. She cut and filed my nails and never cleaned out underneath the nails. I told her they didn’t feel good, but she didn’t offer to do anything to fix it. I had to clean them out myself after she was done. My first nail chipped 2 days ago after only 3 days of wear ( no hot tubs or anything like that). 3 more nails have chipped by today. Also, one of the nails never did have the clear gloss coat it on, so it has been a matte finish since I got the manicure. I would love for these issues to be resolved, and to be able to update this to a positive review, I just can’t give a positive review right now.To follow up: Laquerus reached out to me and offered to fix my nails. My second experience was much better. The nail tech I had this time did a great job, and my nails still look nice 6 days later. Thank you for your customer service!

Laquerus is my favorite place to go to treat myself. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. The decor is beautiful and on trend. I love the polish colors they offer and I love that I can take nail art inspiration to Madisen and she delivers every time!

I went in for a pedicure and a gel manicure in the morning. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but gave it a shot anyway while I was in town. My pedicure was fine nothing was wrong, but one of the nails needed to be redone in the service. That nail that was redone ended up getting dent the second I got home after my service. My gel manicure was gorgeous no complaints, and the whole service took about 2.5 hours. I was slightly overcharged however the issue was resolved right away. No complaints minus the dent on my pedicure, but sure if I called they would offer to fix it. Overall, would totally recommend this place it’s clean, good color choices, and waterless.

Best place in Madison for so many reasons. Clean, professional and comfortable. Cannot beat the staff here or the quality of their work. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Long story short- I don’t usually get my nails done and was pretty selective about picking a great salon for my wedding nails. So I called this place months in advance, ended up booking with them for my bridal party nails - the owner was super communicative and great to work answering my questions leading up to the day. Unfortunately the experience once we arrived for our appointment was not great- aside from being told we would be finished within 2 hours (5 techs, 6 women getting services) - I called ahead and confirmed time we would finish as my rehearsal at the church was later that day; and it ended up going over by more than an additional 45 min (2 hours and 45 min) after I was rushing to get out the door, making us late for the rehearsal. Beyond that, I had arranged everything to be prepaid except for tip, but when calculating the amounts, they tried to overcharge the services for everyone’s nails (their prices changed but there was internal miscommunication with the quoted amounts). They were able to update and “refund” me the difference- but not a great look forcing me and my bridal party to find the contract. Further, my nail tech was giving me attitude from the get go, being a bit rude / aloof - my MOH told me she noticed this and was trying to make comments so this tech would realize I was the bride (it shouldn’t takes that to be treated kindly). Additionally, one of my bridesmaids was 15 min late to the appt but they made her wait another 45 min before they would provide her services (it’s not like they had a free nail tech just waiting around for her either, there were 5 nail techs, 6 people including the Bridesmaid who was late). Finally, they had to redo my thumb nails 3 times each due to something wrong with the formulary where the polish would dry with crater-like dips in the middle (normally I wouldn’t care too much, but these are nails for 1 day in my life I’d like them to look nice), and no they did not offer to comp my nails, upgrade anything /and my original nail tech didn’t even apologize for the incredible inconvenience (being late to the church for my rehearsal, attempted to overcharge, nail tech rude/stopped working on my nails with no explanation, overall headache/stress the day before my wedding).

I had an absolutely amazing experience! I usually get my nails done by one artist only in Austin, TX, but at her suggestion I tried Laquerus. Madisen is AMAZING, she’s literally the twin of my artist in Austin. Not only is she super friendly and all around awesome, but her attention to detail and artist talent is top notch! I already have my second appointment booked with her and even though I love my nails right now, I can’t wait to go back!

Overpriced for the quality. I paid almost 70 dollars for a gel manicure with a patch on my broken nail and removal of gel that was applied somewhere else. One of my nails, the color doesnt go all the way to the edge but the clear base under definitely does. Another has 3 little black dots sealed in. If Id paid less, Id be fine with these flaws but for 70 dollars plus tip, not worth it.

This place is so cute & trendy. In my opinion it is exactly what Downtown Madison needed in terms of nail salons. The staff is friendly and the woman who did my nails did a great job. They have sample nail art already provided if you wanted to just choose one, or they are able to try and paint something you come up with. I would recommend this place 100%!

Absolutely loved Laquerus! This was my first time having my nails done here and Tatyana was amazing! She was friendly and her work is quality! I would definitely recommend giving Laquerus a try if you have not!

My friend and I tried the salon for the first time about a week ago. The salon itself was cute and modern. All of the ladies working that day were very friendly and I was happy with the way my nails turned out. However, I did think it was a bit overpriced and the color selection was very scarce.

My best friend’s wedding was two weekends ago. And I, of course, had to get my nails done. My husband and I were visiting Madison and I was lucky enough to find this place - and they worked me in last minute! If I lived in WI I would make this my regular place! This is a photo of my nails, taken today, two weeks after I got them done! They still look great! I can’t thank these ladies enough! They were great company and great at what they do! Highly recommended this place!

I have never been to this nail salon before and was really excited to try it out. I made an appointment online and they called me to confirm the appointment the day before. They also asked me what kinda of nails I had on, in which I told them, I had gel acrylics. They seemed to have no problem, then I get a call two hours before my appointment THE DAY OF. asking the same question again, just to tell me they don’t do that here and canceled my appointment and told me to go somewhere else to get them removed. Extremely insensitive and disappointed in the service there.

Everything about this place was totally my vibe. Relaxed with a warm pack around my neck, listening to Beyoncé, watching The Office, and flipping through an HGTV magazine while getting my pedicure. Definitely recommend that anyone who loves a relaxing mani/pedi experience come and treat yourself! I will be back, and I will bring my friends.

The best pedicure in Madison. Ive been to A LOT of nail salons and this is by far the best service where not only is the detail amazing but they *actually* care about you. Most nail salons the techs just treat you like a number, not at Laquerus. They value YOU.The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, the cost is amazing with the service you get and you will not be disappointed. I wont be going to any other salon for my pedicures anymore. My loyalty is with Laquerus and you need to try it!

Great color selection for the gel manicure. This is my second time getting gel. The first time lasted 3 weeks (just got the second one yesterday). Staff is very friendly. Madison is awesome and does a great job. Will definitely come back!

Great product i just love it.

They do a great job and the color always looks bright! Although last time I went in the nail stylist took off my gel too fast and caused my nail to break. Then I had to pay $5 for a silk wrap even though she was the reason it broke!

Jenna is a fantastic artist and super friendly. She really took her time to do a quality job on my nails. Overall, the atmosphere was really nice and Id recommend this place.

I had been looking forward to getting a gel manicure here for months, and finally made time to do it. A bit disappointed, my gel manicure began chipping the day after I got it done because the technician put the gel way off of my nails and onto my skin, causing it to rip off the sides of many of my nails. The technician was also weird about trimming and shaping my nails, like i should have done it myself before coming in for my appointment. She shaped some of them crooked, not straight (I like square nails), which I guess I should have noticed during my appointment but I wasnt paying attention. Overall a very cool, relaxing place - I will come back and get another manicure, however this time I will try requesting a different artist so I can have a manicure I am proud of!

Visiting from out of town and came across this nail salon! The idea of not having a foot bath intrigued me, so I decided to try them out... one of the best gel manicure/pedicure experiences I have ever had! Loved that I filled out a card prior to beginning indicating all my preferences (wanting peace and quiet vs. chatting, nail shape, etc.)! Wish I had a place like this back home!

I loved the experience of a waterless pedicure and Madison did a great job with my nails. I definitely felt welcomed and not rushed at all. I will definitely be going back!

Chemical free, downtown, beautiful interiors, and a comprehensive menu of services at great rates. I went in for a naked manicure and will certainly be back. They have online scheduling and basin free pedicures. Quite excited to return.

Really cool place to get your nails done, especially for special occasions. Unfortunately, gel does not last longer than 5 or 6 days without chipping, and the price is too high for that.

I just went to Laquerus for the first time and I am in love! The atmosphere is so fun and cute and I really like their mission for less waste and non-toxic practices. The stylist took so much care to make sure my mani/pedi looked perfect and they both turned out great. It’s not your quick in-and-out place, but if you’re looking to treat yo self and get an amazing mani/pedi for a reasonable price, this is the place.

Very reasonable priced with a cool atmosphere. A gel mani was $35. They offer free la croix, too.

I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time to leave. This is the second time this has happened to me. They really do not care about your time.

I love this place. Waterless services and non-toxic products. The staff is all so friendly and Gena gives the bestttt manis! Super affordable. Last time I went in they gave me a heated neck wrap during my manicure and the La Croix doesnt hurt either.

I recently went to this salon and it is so pricey for what the service is. I got a gel mani and the nail technician did not even cut my cuticles. I also had my previous gel mani removed but because this salon is waterless, I had to sit there with all the shavings and crust from my previous mani sitting on my hands as she painted them over.

Love this place SO much and devently will be back. The little salon is so stilish, clean, great interior and a great place you just want to hang out. It feels warm and welcoming and due to the non toxic products they use, it doesnt smell in the salon. Very professional staff, so caring, friendly and one of the cleanest nail salons I have ever been to. The hygiene and routine are outstanding. On top of all that you get a non toxic gel mani from very professional nail artists that do an amazing job (thanks Dani, I im obsessed with your gel mani, color choice advise and professional nail job). Can really recommend this place! The staff really listens to your wishes (nail shape, color, feeling of chatting etc.). Best Pedi experience ever!
