I have been a loyal customer of this salon since it was located in the Whole Foods building back when I was a teenager. The newer owners of this salon do not care about loyalty or their customers. My mom made 2 appointments for us and I called 24 hours before to change the time to earlier in the day for the combined appointments. I took off early at work for this appointment for an event. When I arrived, the salon was packed and the owner told me that my appointment was for later and I needed to come back. However, he had switched my mom’s time to the earlier one so clearly he spoke to me. The owner stated that I never called and when I tried to show my phone with the call and explained that he switched one time and they were a combined appointment, he couldn’t be bothered to listen to me and did not apologize but kept insisting that I was wrong and never called. Needless to say I left and never returned. It would have been one thing if he would have listened or even cared and just said it was a mistake and they were busy, but he could have cared less about me and my family’s loyalty.Just a follow up, I called according to Jane’s nails response to my post. The owner asked why I “bothered to call about this matter” and he said he was too busy to talk and then hung up. It seems like they just post to call to make themselves look good and they don’t actually care to make it right.

For the last 3 times I have made an appointment. I get there and the owner tells me they are busy and I need to wait 30 minutes. I ask why make an appointment then!! This place has gone down hill over the last yr… I get business is tough… but if an appointment is made they should honor the appointment. Time to skip this place and fine a different nail salons!!

The pedicure was just wonderful, good attention to detail, very nice massage just great. The manicure (which was done by a different person) left a lot to be desired, no attention either to the client, me, or the nails being done. Guess I got lucky with the pedicure but not the manicure.

I was in the area and needed a color change on my nails, so I stopped here. The place was packed, so I thought well they must be good. Unfortunately, I came to the wrong place.So I asked if they can change my polish to a brown matte color. After they agreed to change my nail color they sat me down at one table and then pushed me to another table where I waited for someone to do my nails. When someone finally came she started to apply the nail polish without filing first. In my experience of changing nail polish especially gel nail polish they remove the clear gel on top first then add the nail polish. When I asked her she said no its only a color change so we only apply the color. I said okay no problem, since I only needed these nails the color brown for 3 days. As the girl is applying the color to my nails she does one at a time okay I figured maybe thats how she does nails No problem. Then I noticed I was there half an hour still only one hand done. This lady had put a pound of nail polish on my nails She coated it four times then on top of that she put a a clear top coat which made my nails shiny. I quickly said this is not what I asked for I wanted Matte color on my nails, so finally they figured it out I have Matte nail color on my nails. Now I go to pay for my new color on my nails and the lady says $35. Now the price isnt what I care about but the fact that my nails look horrible and the price that was displayed for a manicure and a pedicure is $35 but they dont put a price for new nail polish. The most I have ever paid for a change of nail polish is $15 and again I dont care about the money but you butchered my nails You didnt file them You made it look horrible and youre charging me the same amount you charge for Mannie and Peddie together? I will never ever go to this place again and when my friends from Madison ever talk about getting their nails done I will make sure to tell them never to go to Janes nails.This place is horrible.

Came here for a powder gel, $45 plus tip. The salon was nice inside but all my nails were chipping within 3 days. Haven’t tried other services here but would definitely mot recommend for a powder gel which usually stays for weeks.

This place always exceeds my expectations. I go to this nail salon whenever I have a chance to visit the area. The deco and atmosphere is far nicer than most nail salons at the same price point. They have a large selection of colors and although I just did french nails they have many different options for longer lasting polishes.I had a spa pedicure as well which included a scrub and a leg massage. I actually made an appointment for nail polish only because I was in a hurry to go to airport. But they said I can get mani and pedi at the same time and I did! My nails look so great and they were very friendly and quick. I even had a time to get a chair massage while my pedi was getting perfectly dried. All staff is so attentive and professional. The salon got busy so quickly so definitely come early or make an appointment if possible. I definitely recommend this place to my friends and come back again (and again and again!!).

Great place! The people are very friendly and kind. They’ve made everything Covid friendly, and thankfully remain open. They offer a large variety of services that are decently priced. I like to get a regular manicure and pedicure, and it only ever comes out to $35!!!

Everyone is friendly and very nice.. Prices not too bad, just right... Very clean and plenty of Clorox wipes... Mary did an amazing job with my PedicureJenny was awesome and pleasant to talk with also....

I have been a client of Jane’s Nails for many years and began going there when they were next to Whole Foods. Everyone is always most friendly and caring. The place is welcoming and clean. The new owners are working very hard and maintaining the legacy that the former owners created. The pedicures are relaxing and my toe nails stay great for weeks. The manicurists are excellent, and they all do a wonderful job with my nails every two weeks, I highly recommend Jane’s Nails.

They did a great job and they are very covid 19 conscious. Shields, mask, forgers, plexishields. Definitely felt protected

The salon is big with many pedicure chairs and manicure tables. They also give massages and do waxing.

Janes is absolutely wonderful.... and affordable! I have been going there for several years for pedicures but the past few years for manicures. Everyone is friendly and polite. I always try to get my favorite manicurist, GIna. She rotates gel manicures with regular manicures to keep my nails healthy. She has made my dry, peeling nails look amazing! However, when Gina isnt working, all my experiences have been delightful for both manicures and pedicures. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is very clean and the service is excellent!

Ive been getting my eyelashes done by Kaesie for years. Her work is amazing and Ive followed her to different salons. This salon is by far my favorite! The price and quality is great! Its super clean and I never have to wait when I walk in... Even when they are busy... Which they usually are and that just shows that Im not the only one happy with their business!! Highly recommend!!

Lorena is HORRIBLE!!I went in to get a simple pedicure & Manicure!She Clearly didn’t want to service me.I had to Wait and Watch her service 2 other people.I only decided to stay because a nice young lady services me!I am not Sure if its the “New” owners, but this place has definitely changed for the worse!!I can’t understand how any EMPLOYEE could treat any customer so Rudely!Especially a returning Customer!!One would think that They would Understand that (WE) the Customers Are The ONLY reason they have a JOB!Highly disappointed!Lost a Long time Returning customer!Madison Nail Here I COME!!

I hadnt been to Janes Nails since they were next to Whole Foods...I had moved out of the area and recently moved back, so I decided to try them again. There are lots of nail salons in the area, but I loved the ambience and the lady who did my nails was wonderful. She did a great job and I had a positive experience. I will definitely be going back.

Got a GEL Nail Manicure for $35. Gave a $5 tip so I spent $40. Not worth it at allllll. Poor quality nail polish that I can still see my natural nail below the polish. No. Just no.

I purchased a gift certificate for the wife. Shes been bugging me forever for eyelash extensions because Im not all that into fake stuff, but was I wrong!!! I still dont get how putting extra eyelashes can change the way my wife looks! Kaesie, thanks for making me and my wife happy!

Janes Nails has been my go-to nail salon ever since I moved to Madison about 3 years ago. I loved how I could get in and out quickly, I thought their prices were fair and I THOUGHT it was a clean salon. However, after my last visit I will not be returning again. On Saturday, July 22nd, I visited the salon and got just a pedicure. It was all fine and normal, until I thought maybe the technician was being a little rough when it came time to push back the cuticle. I didnt see any cut initially. By that same night, my big toe was really red, swollen and sore. Very long story short, and I will leave out the gross details, I went to my doctor that following Monday and it turns out that my toe was infected and was put on an antibiotic for 5 days with orders to come back immediately if it did not seem to be getting better. I need to add though that I did go back to the salon and got a refund for the pedicure, thankfully, but I am furious that this salon clearly does not properly sterilize their utensils. This could have potentially been a very serious situation. I am sad to say that everyone should be very, very wary of this salon.

I used to love this salon, but it is under new management and the change has been noticeable. They destroy your nails when they take off your old gel polish with brute force and harsh tools. I asked the technician if it was ok to just soak the polish until it was soft enough to push off (this is how it was done before new management), and she ignored the request. She had me dip my fingers back into the acetone, only to take them out a minute later and continue using the harsh tools, stripping away the gel polish along with the top layers of my nails. Then she cut my finger. On top of all this she was very rude and seemed bothered by the fact that I, a paying customer, was there. The pedicure was much better, as it was with one of the technicians that was there before new management, but wont be enough for me to go back. As for the overall aesthetics of the salon, new management has deteriorated it. It looks messy and dirty.

I have been a customer for over 4yrs and I have been fairly pleased with the service until of late. Janes Nails is now under NEW management and I have found that the new owners are rude and possibly prejudice. How unfortunate! I REALLY like my nail technician, she does a good job. Considering my options, searching for a new nail salon.

Came to Janes after a close friend and happy customer urged me to give them a shot. No regrets! I go to Kaesie for eyelashes and can honestly say she understands each customers individual needs. She didnt rush through it and I can tell she is proud of her work. I got maintenace tips I didnt know about and Ive been getting extensions for over a year. Salon is clean and professional. I look forward to getting a mani/pedi in the future. No turning back for this girl!

I have attended this salon several times. I was always very satisfied with the results until my previous visit on Wednesday, July 25. The salon was very crowded and I had gotten my manicure first instead of the pedicure. However, once the technition cut my cuticles, it was very rough and the side of my nail began to bleed. It did not cause me any pain until a few days later, and it eventually became so bad that I was limping as I walked. My big toe turned red and began to swell. It is very unfortunate how much I used to enjoy this salon but now I will never be going back. Very disappointed.

Extremely disappointed with my gel manicure. Paid $30 to have a gel manicure done and two of my nails chipped the next morning. Not good quality, would not recommend to anyone u less you are looking to get an overpriced and bad quality manicure.

I have been a client for many years but have been very disappointed I ask for gel polish pedicure and was charged 52 dollars unheard of I get my nails done with gel and only pay 30 very upset that they would go that low they lost my business and other clients that I known always ask pricing before any service I will no longer go to this salon
