I love this little hometown place. Julie is my fave for manis. Her work is impeccable. Perfect polishing lines. Ruby my fave for pedis. Best foot massage. Surprised about negative comments on owner. He is so funny.

The women there are great but DO NOT let the owner do your nails. One time he made me massage and lotion my own hands and instead of giving me a back massage as they usually do, left to go watch cartoons in the seat across from me.

Cant beat the $25 price for a mani/pedi. This place is reasonably clean and has good service at a good value.

The girls that give pedicures are very friendly and do a great job. The owner, on the other hand, is not friendly and his no common courtesy toward customers. I will not contribute my money, to a person would does not appreciate his customers. Oh and he smokes cigarettes at back of the salon and the smoke travels through the salon. Just disgusting!

I first found Family Nails because I worked down the road on Main St, but have since moved and changed jobs so it takes me almost an hour to get there. IT IS SO WORTH THE TRIP! This is seriously one of the best places around. The prices are great and my gel manicure would last a month if I let it go that long. They take their time and are so friendly. Seriously, I recommend them to everyone. Ill keep going as long as Im in NJ!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We have been long time Family Nail customers and the service has become declining within the past few years. When upset about customers being taken ahead of me after I had been waiting for 35 minutes for my manicure, I spoke to a rude manager who refused to get the actual manager and told me everyone has to wait. When I finally got my manicure and was drying my nails, I asked her again to get the manager and she flat out said no and then continued to giggle at the scenario. Incredibly terrible customer service and will NEVER be going back. Dont waste your money

I probably was literally one of their first customer way back when they opened. Im still going. They do the best mani/pedi ever. We have since moved out of the area but visit frequently. When we are in town, I go there every chance. They do the BEST foot massage! Warning, its addictive. They work those tired feet back to being alive again, very rejuvenating. The polish outlasts any place Ive been to while on the road. Gel or regular polish, they never get your cuticles. Well groomed, and clean. I dont believe the other reviews about not sanitizing the tools, Im neurotic about that and they have ALWAYS sanitized all tools for all customers. I watch this carefully. No place is perfect, but Family Nails is the closest Ive ever experienced!

Went to this place with my wife as new to the area. Everything was great until I realized they don’t practice typical sanitation. Woman used tools on a manicure for another guy and then used them on me without cleaning or sanitizing they. Same went for the pedicure. With the risk of getting sick and infections I would stay away from this place until they begin to use sterile tools for each customer. My wife and I are very grossed out after this experience.

I have been visiting Family Nails since it first opened its doors back in July 2010. High quality, excellent customer service, and great prices keep me coming back again and again. I visit them once every 3 weeks to get a gel manicure and pedicure. Owners Kevin and Kim are so friendly and all of the staff are well trained and always greet the customers with a smile. Somehow I have never had to wait for service except for twice on a weekend, but the owners always try to ensure the wait is minimal. Even during busy times, I never feel rushed and the staff take their time to make sure they do a great job. They even throw in a back massage with every manicure (gel or regular nailpolish)! I have tried other nail salons in the area and also in NYC and Hoboken (where I live) but the unbeatable prices and customer service has made me vow to never go anywhere else. I have even gotten my husband addicted to this place. Highly recommended!

Literally the worst, most painful, most half assed mani pedi I have ever gotten. Rushed me in, rushed through the whole job, pretty much bruised my feet she was pushing so hard through the ten second long massage. I asked her to be more gentle and she didnt understand me. Then I told her I wanted my fingernails clipped straight across and rounded at the corners. SHE CUT OFF ALL MY NAILS allll the way down to the nub. Ive been growing them for months. It looks like a little kid did them. The polish is patchy, she missed a few spots with the top coat and she had the balls to complain about being there, in front of my face, in Spanish like I couldnt understand her.I told my mom we shouldnt go to this place, I was really dissatisfied last time. For price reasons we went here. And I got about 1/3 of the quality I paid for. Lucky for my mom she got one of the owners and got the works, English speaker, long gentle reflexology massage, and no rush. They charged us the same amount. I will NEVER spend my money here again.
