Awesome gym with lots of amenities, super clean, and friendly staff! They even have hydro massage chairs for black card members as well as free tanning beds. I love that each cardio machine has its own TV and there are different sections for the weight rooms. I was a member about 7 years back and theyre new renovations are amazing, especially for the price. Hands down one of the best gyms.

Nothing better than walking into a clean and fresh/clean smelling restroom amidst all the sweaty bodies that walk in there. Kudos to their new employee, Karla Crawford with the night crew!!!

Nothing to brag about...its a gym.Not sure how to respond so Ill edit.Ive asked for a straight back chair to use. They have benches that kinda converts into a straight back chair but the back is too high. Cant use it for triceps raises.Was told thats what I must use. I find that hard to believe.Also asked for a scale. First gym Ive been in where you cant weigh yourself...never understood that.

I absolutely love this location. The staff are amazing and the fact that they can memorize you after 1 visit is crazy. I love walking in and them saying whats up, Austin before I even get a chance to scan. They have such a wide range of equipment to use as well which is fantastic.

First visit after signing up. I am a cardio type of person and rowers are important to me. Well, the gym has 2. Both of them have their screens inoperable. One has the wires broken and the other even thought the screen turns on, the action of rowing does not change the creen content (like if the speedometer would not show how fast I am going). This is not good.As far as the other cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill and stair master), they do have plenty and in working condition.Showers were clean but they do not have body soap (BYO).

Was called a liar and not allowed to work out because they believed that my daughter wasnt13. We have been going to this gym for almost a year, but will not be back. There are plenty of gyms in the area that offer better machines/weights to use and that have better customer service.

Ive been coming here for almost 4 years and the staff keep the club clean. Unfortunately the buildings roof leaks in several places when it rains. The owner of the building refuses to fix them which is no fault to Planet Fitness as they have made several pleas to have them addressed.Another is the parking lot, its in desperate need of restriping. Overall its a great place to workout with lots of working equipment and you dont have to deal with the grunting and moaning of lunks.

Love the tanning beds they have standing and the lay down with facial. I also enjoy the message beds.

Am currently on hurrication from Laura, 200 miles from home. Took an excellent shower, powered all my devices, and langoured in their ac all day. Exactly what I needed far from home. Workers pleasant and accommodating. 5 stars

The workers here are nice, but I dont like the fact that I pay my monthly membership faithfully and it isnt getting taken care of very well. (As far as the roof leaking water really bad in several areas when it rains-so much that you cant use certain equipment or even go in that area unless you want to walk through a huge puddle) I do appreciate that the bathroom is always really clean.

Been working out here for a month now and I gotta give props to the cleanliness of this gym. The amount of sanitation stations around the place is great, you dont have to hunt them down. The biggest highlight of this entire gym is a man named Carlos that works mon-fri on night shift. He not only makes sure every area of the gym is clean but he cares about the people that come. I have never been to another chain gym that has an employee so motivated and willing to help his customers.I dont know how long Carlos has worked at planet fitness in Lufkin but yall should get him to train the rest of yalls employees, he makes it feel like a hometown gym.

Hydro beds are wonderful

The gym is always clean and well kept. Very rarely do I see any of the equipment out of service, and if it is it is resolved very quickly. The staff is always super friendly. I have had the black card for a while and for whatever reason I just discovered the hydromassage yesterday. The young lady on duty took the time to actually take me back there and show me how to work all of the controls. Very impressive customer service.

The staff is very friendly! They have very adequate locker rooms. The entire building is very clean. Plenty of machines so youre not waiting. I love this place.

Horrible company! At this point they have stolen over $100 from me and I still haven’t gotten them to stop taking money. I’ve called repeatedly and went into a location to talk to them. They refuse to give refunds and drag you along for months before they finally cancel your membership. If I could give zero stars I would.

My husband joined a month ago and he is delighted to be a member. He said the equipment is superb. He has been a member in other gyms in Houston and Katy but he said this one is the best. The machines for your stomach are what he really gets a workout on and he loves it.

No BS, affordable, great equipment and a great overall use of space. It would be perfect if we could just bring the kids with us.

Overall this Planet Fitness is in good condition. However, there was No HOT water in the shower. Lukewarm? Yes. Hot? NOFor this reason I give it a 3 of 5. Had they had hot water, I would have given a 5.

This place completely sucks. If you’re a serious weightlifter then don’t come to this location. I walked and was getting ready to warm up and was told that I have to wear my belt instead of putting it on the floor in my rack.

It’s been several months and they still haven’t gotten their WiFi working. I can’t get in the right head space for a workout without it so I’m basically throwing away money. About to switch gyms if they don’t fix it. Everything else is fine.

Love this gym and their personal trainer Katie is amazing I never even knew they had a personal trainer until she approached me if it wasnt for her I probably would have given up already.

I have had a membership since 2015 with PF. My hubby travels so I’ve seen a lot of PFs about 10 to 15 nationwide. Lufkin is how my home gym since Feb of this year. It is by far one of the best I’ve been to. Layout is great. Customer service is by far the best I’ve been around. All the folks that works there are always the best. The one that stands out to me by far is Arien, he is amazing and you can tell he loves what he does. And enjoy meeting people. The only bad I have to say bad about this PF is some of the customers that don’t wipe down and pick up the equipment/weights that they don’t put back for others to locate were they should be. Yet the staff comes rite behind these inconsiderate people and pick up after them. The staff are not your maids or parents. Some folks that attend need to bring down their egos a bit. Sometimes some of the hydros don’t work and they run out of paper towels. But you can’t blame that on employees. That is manager or regional managers responsibility for the workers to be supplied with what they need. So folks lighten up on these folks that are there to help you....

Ive tried contacting them because my account has been overdrawn when they arent even supposed to take money out but have had no luck, so as long as you are fine with losing money its ok. Good place to work out though.

Planet Fitness, the Judge Free Zone, is genuinely a GREAT place to work out! All of the machines are top notch and the staff is very kind and helpful. It does get really busy and crowded around 5ish, so keep that in mind

I’m so tired of them attempting to charge extra fees on my membership when I’ve paid my monthly fee BEFORE the due date on the app. Then I have to call customer service to fix the issue because the staff at the desk are not on one accord.I don’t even live in Lufkin anymore. transferring membership contract ASAP the staff at this location are scammers

The premise of PF is a judgement free gym, yet the Lufkin location doesn’t seem to follow that moto. Everyday I hear a story of how someone was judged or even banned for ridiculous assumptions such as a warrior T-shirt meaning you’re a trainer or someone being too fit to work out at this gym, even one story of friends working out together told that they couldn’t look like they were working out together. Who works out alone?!?!? The location is ran by a ridiculous manager named Robbie Segler who allows all of this discrimination to happen. Do not work out at this gym and cancel your membership if you do!

So I was told I could bring my daughter whos 17, to work out. Actually she is the one who wanted the membership. And then once we have been going for a month, here goes some guy telling us she cant come in...... really dude, ok so Lufkin we have a problem....Nope I am not happy!!!!!

Decent place to work out, but their pricing keeps creeping up. When if first started here, there was no yearly charge and no @#&$ing contract. Now they are like every other gym that locks you in to a contract and charges a penalty for cancelling your membership. They thing that made them unique is disappearing.

Facility and staff are magnificent. The building could use some repairs, but the location is great.

The people who work there are kind and make you feel welcome.The people who work out here HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO edicut.There are 30 min work out rooms, 12 minute abs and a hipe room .Though there are numbers 1 thr what ever, you can start where ever you choose, but the rules on wall in every room state WHEN LIGHT IS RED, YOU MUST CHANGE MACHINE!My daughter and I have left this work out center feeling INCOMPLETE EVERY TIME . No one watches or seems to care enough to walk around and cheek on these, drop ins who iether are hogging the machines ( like we all dont pay to be there ) or set and gab with their friends .Wish there where more people who think of others and not just their self WHEN IN PUBLIC

Plot twist; Payment issues.So I had no issue with it for months. Signed up for a year contract for 20 dollars a month and enjoyed going nearly every morning. However, in end of May beginning of April, I was charged a second annual fee. I say second because Id already payed it back in February. It took them 3 weeks to come with a solution to what was an easy answer, refund the money. Peeved I had them lower my payments to 10, something they assured me was no problem and changed nothing with my contract. Of course they didnt want to refund, so they offered me three months free by counting paid.Was fine, but after that I was soured to going so soon I stopped. When it hit the end of October I requested to cancel since I wasnt going, they told me it would be 50 dollars to finishing paying what I owed till April. . . That didnt sound right. I got the contract long before howd it get extended three months. Tried to talk to them about it and got the literal run around about so I got fed up and asked my bank to make sure they got no more money from me. The people are nice till you get them on the phone and theyre rude out the wazoo. I will not go back nor recommend, and to those who stick to it? Id advise to watch your bank accounts for discrepancies.

Money issues. Automatically comes out of my account, yet they say i owe money. Called and spoke to the manager on the phone several times. After I proved they had already taken monthly fees from my account, he said late fees are waived, i owe zero dollars. Transferred to Houston, was told that Lufkin is still saying I owed them money. Called Lufkin, rude rude rude new manager, Kristie or Kristen said that I still owed and had to pay or i could just cancel. So i am canceling. Too do that I have to either go all the way to Lufkin or mail them a letter. Fine! Guess what was taken out of my account today??? Thats right, the y usual monthly fees. Get your crap together! Either you are getting it or your not! After today I wont care because Im blocking you on my account!

They are sorry. I havent used my membership in 2 months and was paying it. Well I was charged the annual fee put and I asked about canceling my membership and since I havent used it in 2 months I asked if I can get the annual fee back they said no. They wouldnt let me cancel membership.

Most of the equipment seems to be in good working order. WiFi almost never works. But the AC works great! The TVs are hit or miss.Edit- Walked in to cancel my membership first week of January. The guy who cancelled my membership was clearly training and trying to do a great job BUT the staff member training him was being a douchebag. Checked my bank account and was charged on the 17th. Went back in on the 18th and staff member apologized and was told my refund would post in 5-7 business days. The douchebag took my info and filled out the paperwork for a refund. Went back in after still not receiving my refund and apparently douchebag incorrectly wrote down my account number (by one number) so no refund was ever posted. Original guy was nice enough to refund me with cash because I was moving out of state.
