I had went in with my daughter to get her nails painted she was very excited. The experience was horrible the lady charged $20 for shellac just for it to lift and peel in less then 5 mins. The paint job was horrible. We then went back that day so they can fix it and another lady tried to fix it and she was hurting my daughter while doing so. My daughter now never wants to go get her nails painted because she scared it will hurt. They ruined that experience for her . I will never go back again. Was so happy with my nails today Kim did AMAZING!!! Seriously she payed so much attention to detail to make sure my nails came out perfect and they DID!! Will absolutely be coming back and recommending this place to friends. We’ve had bad experiences at other places and Star Nail made me so happy today I got brand new glitters and I’m so excited! Got a Powder set, 1 color, simple. Walked in around 7pm . Guy Instantly grabbed my hands in a rough manner just seemed rushed, Kept continuously glancing at the clock. Felt very uncomfortable.I definitely will Not be back. If you are done for the day and dont want another customer just be clear, wouldnt have been a problem to go somewhere else. Nails were left bumpy.

Went to get a pedicure and my nails I was the 2 hours and yet I was not able to bet my nails done job was very poor and slow he made my toe bleed and now my larger toe hurts I will change places the owner usually there but she was not there today makes me sad to say this about this place but truthfully

Went to Star nails for a repair after my nail tech left for New Years the nail tech used a completely different color not to mention the nails she fixed were way longer than my other nails instead of agreeing to fix my nail She started shouting at me about How she “didn’t have to fix it” and that it was “to early” I’vebeen getting nails done in Lubbock for a really long time so I’ve had my share of bad experiences but this takes the cake SAVE YOUR MONEY DONT GO HERE!!!!

I went to star Nails because the place I normally go to was closed. I got a pedicure and the lady did a rush job. She put the hot towels on as an after thought. My sister got a pedicure and her feet were done well. I got a full set. My sister got shellac over her natural nails and less than 2 weeks later her polish started chipping and she has completely lost the shellac from 3 fingers. I also got an eyebrow and lip waxing. I paid $65 more than I pay at other places. I believe i was overcharged. I wont be back.

The quality is great and they do a good job. The only thing that I dont like is the time it takes to get it done. I was in there for 2 hrs. today for a pedicure. Too long .

It is a good place to go to buh they hurt me

I have been going to Star Nails for several years and have been loyal to this business. Even throughout my pregnancy I continued to go and would bring my family members and friends. This past week I went in to get a simple gel paint change on my nails and paint change on my toes. I was the first customer that morning and as soon as I walked in I knew the interaction would be less than friendly. Stephanie usually does a great job but I guess she did not feel like painting that day? So she told her husband to do my toes. I was fine with this but informed him that I would prefer for Stephanie to paint my nails since he can get a little rough with the filing and I have bled a few times in that past due to this treatment. The began to argue over who was going to paint, PAINT my nails since she refused to file my nails and had him do it. I sat quietly throughout this exchange but I was silently fuming. When I got up to wash my hands she came from the back of the shop stomping around. She then proceeds to slam her manicure things down on the floor next to her station and starts ripping out paper towels, still manically shouting to her spouse in what I imagine not so nice things about me. I walked right past her and stated Dont worry about it Stephanie. Sir I would like to pay you for the services you have already completed and I will be leaving. I was teary eyed at this point and she and her husband understood the gravity of the situation. She insisted that she would paint my nails and said no you will not, several times while I was paying which was very uncomfortable and made the interaction last much longer than it should. I was in full tears at this point because I could not believe that I was being treated so poorly as a regular customer who only wanted a simple paint job that early in the morning. I even left a 5 dollar tip on a 10 dollar service. Which makes me angry now that I think about it. Nevertheless I wont be returning and I advise you to spend your money elsewhere.

Ive been there a few times. Friendly staff, they do an amazing job EVERY time. Ive had shellac manicure there, it was perfect. Ive also had pedicures there & they are amazing. AND they actually take pride in their work and make each finger/toe look perfect.

Place is nice, clean, staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable compared to these places. I went to Serenity Nails and for the same basic pedi at Star Nails ($27) I paid $47 at Serenity, their basic didn’t even exfoliate your heels or calluses. Star will do all that and even clip ingown Nails nicely. I’ll never go anywhere else again.

My daughter got her nails done and the old man that did her nails was so rude. He said her nails were dry but when we left her Pinky was messed up. We went back to get it fixed and he cussed at us and was very rude. When he fixed it he jerked her hand and sighed like he was mad. I have gone to many nail salons but this is truly the worst customer service I’ve ever seen.

No good nail Techs

I know the owners personally and can say that theyre hard workers with many years of experience. Theyre not overly talkative and are very respectful of customers that come in. I frequently come back just for the pedicure experience!

Amazing place and did an amazing job!

The day after I had my nails filled, two of them cracked in the middle of my nail bed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and just got a new set put on. A week later and all of my nails are lifting and coming off one by one. Ill never go there again.

Will never go there again! My nails look horrible. They do not know how to do matte colors!!!

I decided to try a new salon and absolutely hated it! I asked for a manicure and didn’t remove any of my cuticles!!! I wanted a full set and the people looked at me like they didn’t want to! The man that was doing my nails hurt me really bad and I’m really good with pain but he did hurt me! He was in a rush and my nails didn’t turn out correctly! Never again will I go there!!!!

I went to this place because the good reviews and they were open late but i am very dissatisfied with my nails they are messed up not glossy on a few you run your finger across and they are not smooth and i was cut 3 times and was still not given a discount
