I have taken my 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 to several different places over the years I have owned it. I have never been satisfied with the service, quality, detail, price or professionalism.... Great shop full of great guys. I had trouble finding a place that could get me in. I told them I was passing threw and what was going on with my truck over the phone. He was able to fit me In and fix the problem the same day. I don’t know what the one star review is about, I saw nothing offensive about any of the shop decor or staff. Would highly recommend to any one and everyone.

I had an appointment for my GMC 2500 a week or so ago for an emissions test - first experience with this shop. They were ready when I arrived and completed the test promptly and at a fair price. While waiting, I had an opportunity to chat with Sean, the owner. Found him to be a great guy - very customer focused who takes pride in his shop and clearly knows the importance of excellent work and good customer service if a small shop is to survive (as his has for some 20 years or so). I also observed the positive interaction with his mechanics discussing work in progress. I read the one star review by the lady who came in for a $5.00 service and objected to a couple of stickers on the wall. First, the signs were discreetly placed - hardly noticeable - certainly not in an offensive way regardless of your “personal politics”. Furthermore, it’s still a free country - thanks to men like Sean who served his country in the military so people like her have the freedom to make obnoxious statements which have no bearing on the work performed, pricing, etc., but are obviously politically motivated. Actually, it was that review that prompted me to try this shop to begin with. She should be ashamed of herself!! Keep up the good work, Sean. Profotmsnce is my new “go to” shop for my diesel services. I don’t usually write reviews but am pleased to recommend this shop to anyone in need of diesel services.

We are passing thru Colorado on our way to Kansas from Oregon and my husbands truck broke down and even though they were super busy they got us in and fixed his EGR valve in his diesel and got us back on the road. Best automotive and diesel shop in Colorado. My 7.3 Powerstroke was dyeing randomly and I couldnt figure out why. These guys have a ton of experience with Powerstroke and figured it out in no time. Would highly recommend bringing your vehicles to these guys.

Took in my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an ignition and drive train issue. I had a good idea of what it might be.As usual they diagnosed and repaired everything.Sean and his team are always honest with the diagnosis and fair with the price, I never feel they are trying to sell me extra things that I dont need. That being said I also dont think they try to put Band-Aids on things. After taking my truck to another repair shop at the beginning and paying hundreds of dollars for a misfire repair and that repair still didnt fix the issue I took my vehicle over to Shawn and within the next business day he had my truck fixed and running like new which the other repair shop could not figure out the issue. The shop I usually take my VW TDI to for its annual emissions test is temporarily closed, so after searching around a bit I gave Performance Diesel a call. They made time for me to bring my car in the following day, were ready for me when I arrived, and got the test done quickly and for a fair price. I got a good impression of the shop: Everyone seemed to be enjoying their work and collaborating with each other. I enjoyed talking with the owner while I waited and learned that, while they mainly work on diesel trucks, they work on smaller cars like mine, too -- so Ill be keeping them in mind for repair work when I need it in the future.

I was looking for a knowledgeable professional organization to update the computer in my F350 6.7 to reflect a new 60 gallon tank and change the oil. Sean called multiple times as the job progressed which I appreciated, validating the configurations. I took my Honda Pilot here to figure out a vibration in the front end that 2 other shops couldnt figure out. They also charged me a diagnostic fee just for looking at it even when they couldnt find the problem. The honda dealer ship wanted to charge me $800 for what Shawn did for $325. Shawn is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to explain what the problem is. He always treated me fairly and never charged me a diagnostic fee. They even supplied me with a rental car when the repairs were extensive. Ive also taken my diesel here for extensive repairs. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fair, honest and reasonable service.

I had a diesel emissions test on my VW Jetta TDI. Quick service and friendly. BUT the people I dealt with were not masked. Paying with a credit card required signing on a touchpad. Covid-19 is alive and well and I saw no evidence of precautions. That was disappointing.

Performance diesel and performance did a great timely job. Shawn was able to find a mystery squeak! And fixed the tie rod which was about to fall apart and I was saved from a fiery death! Truly, shawn and the guys did a great job! Very much appreciated!

They do good work. I took my diesel pickup there because fuel was leaking. They had to replace a bad fuel heater to stop the leak. They also replaced some old fuel lines and o rings that needed to be replaced. Im very happy with their work and would highly recommend them! I keep going back to them when I need work done on my diesel!

Needed two vin verifications, no where did it mention they are completely closed from noon- 1pm. Maybe they should mention that on their website. I arrived at 12:30 and everything was closed up. They lost out on business because they do not mention those closed hours anywhere except voicemail after I arrived and called, but I was able to go somewhere to get the vin verifications for free at least

My whole family loves this shop! Shawn always takes the time to help me with any questions I have about my SUV, shows me the parts they replaced and why they needed to be replaced and is very nice about explaining what is going on with my vehicle. They do a great job with all of the maintenance and repairs I have needed, they are very friendly, knowledgeable and quite reasonably priced. They are straightforward about what my SUV needs and dont try to get me to sign up for any unnecessary services. They keep me informed throughout the day while my vehicle is in their shop, which I appreciate. Most importantly, I have always felt they treat me fairly and respectfully, which is not always the case at other shops when you are a single woman.

Quick version: these folks are GREAT. Theyre my local goto shop and I trust them completely to keep my Ex on the road.Long version (why they have my business): I differentiate between mechanics who simply fix and those who solve. Example: vacuum seal went out of my Ex. Rather than just replace the seal (totally reasonable fix) they first thoroughly cleaned out the gunk and corrosion that wouldve caused the next seal to fail prematurely and THEN replaced it (solution). Takes more time, but represents a job done right rather than just done.Yes theyre busy...but do you really WANT a mechanic (or doctor, or anyone who spends time diagnosing) who ISNT? Make an appointment...its worth it. Ive never had to schedule an appt. further than a week in advance.Finally...a small thing that demonstrates attention to detail. The shop is CLEAN, like I could eat off the floor clean, and organized. Someone once told me that If employees take care of their shop, tools and equipment they tend to have more pride in the car they are working on, as well as taking care of it like it was their own. Seems right to me, and applicable here.

This is the guy for complicated engine diagnostics. Knows his craft inside and out.

These guys are just what you want in a mechanic. Honest and reasonably priced. They are busy which is probably a good sign of the quality work and value for $. All my interactions with them have been great and the owner is down to earth and tries to work with you to get you what you need.

I followed my Mercedes tech to this shop and just love it. They treat me like a friend instead of just another customer and go above and beyond in helping me find good solutions to keep my old Benz going and they know exactly what service my new one needs so I dont have to give it a thought. The repair costs are always given in advance so no surprises and all the work theyve done has been way more reasonable then the Mercedes dealer I use to use. Weve been taking our cars to Shawn for longer than I can remember. It must be close to 15 years now. Weve spent $25,385 with him over the years and he serviced our vehicles 85 times. We currently have 6 cars, including my step sons Jeep, and they all are under the care of Shawn. We wouldnt have stayed with Shawn or spent this kind of money for this many years if he wasnt the most reliable, honest and dedicated auto repair guy in northern Colorado. Family and I have been going here for years. A few questionable diagnosis in the past. However this time they made a huge mistake or took advantage of my past trust. I told them about a certain noise I heard in my engine. Took them two appointments to actually get to it. (They are way too busy) They told me I needed a whole new transmission and that it would be nearly 4K. Wanting to save money I looked for a lower quote somewhere else. Come to find out....there was nothing wrong with the transmission and the actual problem was fixed. (Real problem only cost 1k). I will never go to Auto performance again.

In response to your response the reason l didnt give you a 5 is because it took 2 weeks to have air condition repaired but it works great now

I wish that i could run into other mechanics like the owner here...they also sent me pictures and data sheets of before and after.. highly recommended again.

Solid mechanic shop. Really enjoyed the customer service and expertise they have. Since moving here I have been trying to find a reliable mechanic. I decided to try Performance and I was amazed at the quality they put into informing their customers, and most importantly the quality they put into fixing or servicing vehicles. Brought my old 91 gen 1 Dodge in there for emissions. Nobody greeted me at the desk and nobody told me who was doing my emissions. Most people would think that was rude and not very good customer service however I come from the same type of repair shop and honestly the fact that nobody ask me what I needed or if I needed help made me feel like i was home . The shop has a lot of hard-working very experienced men and probably women even though I didnt see any but one and she sure looked like she was working her butt off. I plan in the future to bring my old truck back to them because I can trust their work and their ethics

These guys know there stuff! I recently brought in my 6.0L ford in for an emission test. While running it on the dyno they noticed it was down on power & advised it be checked out. They didnt push me anything. I changed my fuel filters myself later but did notice it was sluggish while pulling my trailer. I never realized it. I scheduled it in with Shawn & Jesse & they found one injector was dropping out under a load. They advised me that we should change the injector using OE parts. They serviced it that day & had me up & running that night. Im now getting my original fuel mileage & power I had when the truck was new! Im very happy! I cant say enough on how professional they are! The shop is clean & tidy & you could almost eat off the floors! I would advise anyone to use them if they want professional treatment & fair price & honest repairs on their truck!

My van starting having trouble when I was leaving Loveland so my Husband came to get me and picked Proformance Auto to drop it off at after hours. They immediately found and fixed a fuel line leak that my local Honda place kept telling me didnt exist even though I could sometimes smell gas. They checked over everything to make sure it was fine and were very reasonable priced.

They will not pass your diesel emissions if you have any kind of after market exhaust .I had a bran new exhaust with a bran new catalytic converter witch I made sure was legal in 50 States even California and they wont pass it because its not the stock one. I bought the truck without a catalytic converter .so your pretty much screwed. The truck passed the test on the Dyno with flying colors but because the look of it isnt stock they wont pass it .Just an FYI to everyone wasting there time going to get emissions .If you look up the Colorado law it states as long as the catalytic converter is epa certified and is Im the same location as oem then it is in compliance with the law .but I guess if you only listen to some guy on the phone instead of actually looking up and understanding the laws and regulations its easy to just shut customers out. I already got my emissions and gave the other company my business .

These guys really got me out of a bind. We were in town for my wife’s grandmother’s 90th Birthday. I woke up with a pool of coolant in the driveway. They were slammed with customers (probably for good reason). But they checked it out, ordered the part, installed, and tested; all while I waited. We have lots of family in the area and will recommmend everyone to Shawn.

On July 3 after setting up my RV in a local park, I noticed a good bit of fluid when I moved my truck. Opening the hood, I discovered I had a cooling system leak. In travel, I realized I needed to try to get the truck to a repair facility fast if there was any way to get it repaired that day. It was about 3:30. We googled diesel repair facilities and found four. I went to Performance Diesel and Auto Repair first as it was the closest. The young lady at the counter told me that there was only one mechanic available as the other two were off for the holiday, but she would tell the mechanic on duty my situation. As it turned out the mechanic was the shop owner, Shawn Morrison. Shawn had my truck pulled in and found a leak in the radiator. He told what it would cost to replace it and said he would get it repaired then. I gave him the go ahead. A radiator was ordered. Shawn commenced to remove the old radiator and had it out as the new one arrived. The new one was installed and I was on my way in little over two hours. Shawn was doing a transmission job he was trying to finish that day, but he put me ahead of it and solved my problem. It has been a week of extensive hard miles being put on my Ford F250 6.0 Turbo Diesel since, with no cooling system problems. I appreciate Shawns service and would use his services again if I were a local. Thanks Shawn, your assistant, and the gentleman whose tranny you were repairing. And best of luck in your racing.

Shawn and Jesse seem to have it going on I am from out of state. My truck started to leak anti freeze. Took the truck to these fellas to find out that some of the repairs that I had done had some issues like a seal was leaking. These guys where straight with me you know we can replace this water pump but you will still have a leak form the repairs you have already had they worked with me and the shop that completed the old repairs. That shop is helping with the cost of the repairs. IF YOU NEED GOOD WORK AND SOME HONEST FOLKS YOU HAVE THEM RIGHT HERE SHAWN AND JESSE.

Worked on a 2006 TDI jetta with close to 190,000. Replace cam shaft. Charged about half of what a dealer quoted us. Person we worked with over the phone was knowledgeable of the car and knew was involved with tearing the motor down. I tested the person asking him about the work, like removing the water pump and timing belt. Very happy with the work and the people we worked with.Paul
