Called them on a Wednesday around 12:30 got me in right away only took a few hours to tint my windows. Picked my car up looked amazing and gave me an great price. Very satisfied will not go anywhere else.

My radio stopped working. I brought my own radio in and I got the best service. The guys there are really good at what they do. I love my new radio and the interface they provided. Sounds Amazing. And they have different installment choices so I didn’t have to pay all at once. Will definitely be back with my wife’s car when she needs an upgrade. I will definitely be back if I choose to upgrade my radio (Don’t need to, they got it perfect.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I came here after my Dad installed new speakers and a radio into my car during covid lockdown. He hadnt installed anything in probably 30 years, and I’m sure it was all kinds of messed up and wrong lol! Got in my car this morning for work and it wouldn’t turn on at all! Great experience buying a new radio for my truck. Very thorough and helpful with fast installation even though they were really busy.

Took my mk7 GTI here to have my subs installed and I purchased 2 door speakers from them and had them installed aswell. Despite my car being a VW (electrical nightmares lol), they installed everything with no issues! The sound is amazing and it doesn’t look like they even touched my car. Justin and his crew were amazing through the whole process, very informative, and Justin even showed me how to use everything. I will definitely recommend them to anyone and go back if I ever need window tinting or audio!

Just got my car back today 03/30/2021 from store on poplar level road. They charged me 770 to put in two 12 inch speakers . i get my car back which is a 300c chrysler . the guy tells me i need to break in the speakers so i should play it at half volume for first week or two. So i get in my car and startvto listen on volume 16 and i hear a little static so i turn it up to 19 and it just sounds terriable. All dash speakers and door speakers are blown . so i look through my cd deck they turned the bass to -9. So i called and asked what happen they tell me i must of blown all my speakers on the way home theres no way they could of blown them by putting a amp and subs in . then try to tell me they can fix for another $500 doallers. Never go here ever i see in reviews now its a problem addic place.

Today they replaced the tint on one of my windows that they had originally done 6 years ago, free of charge. Picture below shows how the smallest details, add up to the best overall experiences.

This company knocked it out of the park. Talked to Keith the owner outside of work and he told me to talk to Justin his store manager and that he would let him know what I was wanting to do. Called Justin and arranged a meeting. Advised Justin that the boat had all old competition type equipment in it and if I was going to spend the money I wanted it to be killer. And it is just that. All new JL Audio subs, amplifiers and speakers. Joe the installer did fantastic job and the boat was clean when finished.Less than 2 weeks later called Justin and asked of he could send someone to the boat service dealer to install a new receiver( which they told me I needed the first time) . He said let me check schedule and Ill call you back. I arrived at the boat servicing dealers shop about 30 minutes later and to my amazement Joe was on the cuddy area already taking the old unit out. What great service even with my strange requests.All I can say is this is definitely a company who knows what customer service is. Just wish I could give them more than a 5 start rating. Thank you.

I was able to get right in without an appointment, and the purchase and installation took about three hours. The price was reasonable compared to the quote I received from another establishment. Justin oversaw the purchase and installation and was very professional. This was my second purchase/installation from Discount Audio and I have been very satisfied both times.

My wife had a 13” DVD player installed in our Chevy Tahoe. We love it! Steve was courteous and professional and got us an appointment for install quickly. When I entered the store, I was immediately greeted by a technician. I announced that I wasnt buying anything, but rather needed some technical advice, as I was planning to do my own installation. I told him what I needed and he explained in detail, even going outside to show me on two different vehicles. His assistance has made it possible to do the part of the installation I was questioning. My daughter wanted a remote control starter for her car for her birthday. I searched Google to find the best prices and service and discount audio was the place I picked. The staff was great in that I wanted this to be a surprise for her. I went ahead and paid for the starter unit and the installation fee and gave get to my daughter on her birthday. She then had the liberty of scheduling the installation appointment on her own schedule.

I’m highly disappointed in the attitude of the employees. I got my girlfriend a radio and installation for Christmas. She had it installed today. They told me that it would only take 1 hour to install and ended up taking 3 hours. After they got it done she went back in to ask for help on how to work everything because it was new. They huffed and puffed and rolled eyes and came out to show her. I am not happy at all with the way she was treated. I do not recommend them at all after their actions today.

My first visit to Discount Audio was in July of 2008. I wont get into the details of that, but I dont mind saying that it was a complete disaster (botched installation just prior to leaving town for a week). Later down the road when it was time to upgrade/add, I ordered what I needed from Discount Audio with full intentions of picking up my purchases and having someone else do the install. Once at Discount Audio to pick up the merchandise, I couldnt resist telling Elliott about my bad experience (three years of pent up frustration must come out at some point). Yes, I was able to do it in a calm and tranquil manner. Elliott was understanding and claimed to have pinpointed the problem; an employee that had since been fired. My point is this: Elliott gave me his personal assurance that if I gave him the opportunity to do the install, it would be perfect. Well, it was. Thats worth something. Ive been back a couple times since then. Once to have a new head unit installed and most recently to have my new truck outfitted with some new equipment and some that I was able to transfer from my 2008 F-150. Excluding my first visit, Ive been completely satisfied. The prices are reasonable and somehow they always seem to have what I need. At this point, I plan to go back to Discount Audio for future purchases and installations. If this review warrants a revision at any point, I will certainly do so. The reason for four stars rather than five is completely due to my first experience. If their track record continues to improve, I see five stars in their future.

Great quality! Had some problems with them telling me a wrong time to be there for window tinting, but the quality of their tint was top notch and very professional. The lifetime warranty is also a plus. Very satisfied. Make sure to make an appointment to avoid timing problems.

Just had a keyless entry/remote start installed in my 98 Volvo V70, this makes life so much more simpler... price was great and didnt take too long. About 2.5 hours. They even took me in the shop to show and demonstrate how to use the device the staff were friendly and attentive I will be referring others to this place.

They got it in and I found that my dash lights didnt work the same. I brought it back and they spent 2 hours fixing it (thats how bad my wiring was) and they didnt even charge me! Well to say I am a bit of a skeptic would be and understatement. Its hard to find a business with true customer service. I had looked all over the internet, researched and found the product I was looking for but I hate ordering equipment online, its a gamble of what you are going to get. Then support is hours on hold and chasing an answer. Because I had dealt with the Circuit Citys and the Best Buys I figured that was my only option. If you have dealt with these companies you know what I am talking about, its all about the sale and things you dont need and most of the time you know more than the sales people. So I gave Discounts a call and went into the shop to look around it wasnt going to cost me any thing. We discussed radios and what I was looking for. They took the time to just deal with me, there was no rush we discussed the radio of my interest and even took the time to show me radios of lesser value of comparable features to make sure I really knew what I wanted. Its been along time since I have been in a stereo shop that actually was concerned about my needs and what I wanted. So then it came time to purchase and go figure the price for the radio was cheaper than any place I looked online or local stores and now I have local support. What more could you want?? All I can say is your cheating yourself if you dont give these guys a shot before you purchase elsewhere. I know they have earned my repeat business.

Youll be hard pressed to find a better local business that is up front and open about explaining the best format for your vehicle.Ive used Roberts(too many attitudes), ProTint(installers are good management sucks), but Discount Audio is by far the best place to go whether youre new to audio or not, you get treated fairly regardless if you have $200 in your hand or $2000. Alot of places could stand to learn a lesson from this business and its owner.

First off, these guys are the S***. They installed my first stereo system for me about 3 years ago befoer i knew how to do it myself, they were friendly explained everything very clearly and their service was quick and reasonably priced!I recently bought a new car and needed a faceplate for a 98 Ford Escort, no other store in Louisville kept them in stock but of course good ole reliable Discount Audio did! They not only carry the common audio necessities they always have the odds and ends things no one else seems to carry!GO TO DISCOUNT AUDIO. Flat out. Do not waste your time trying other shops that sell junk, are way overpriced or prolong and draw out their services just to run up expensive labor charges!

I bought a used Kenwood stereo for about $100. They said “ I don’t know about buying that used one! No refunds if it breaks!” I said “What are you selling me? Junk?!? I figured they wanted me to buy new to make more money.The stereo sounded great for three weeks but then quit. I took it back in and they said we can’t do anything. That stereo is worthless. (Apparently it wasn’t worthless 3 weeks ago). Not even good for a paper weight.After much haggling they sold me of the same stereo that was brand new for about $30 less than the rsvp price.Long story short I pay 190$ for a 120$ stereo. Ahh it’s just 70$ wasted who cares?

I purchased a very new model Alpine iLX-207 which booked for suggested retail price for 1200. They did the install in about 2 hours in what was probably a difficult to install Jeep Commander. The install looked like factory when they got through. They discounted the radio to the cheapest price I could find anywhere to about 599 which was half price. They had the install parts in stock along with the radio which other places didnt have. People who complain about them in reviews seem to be unreasonable. They have to make some profit and I dont see how they make any profit when they discount a radio to the price on Ebay and do the install as cheap and quickly as other shops with parts on hand. Their price is very reasonable, they do a good job of the install and they treat you well. So 5 stars from me.

I have never dealt with the most rude people in customer service. Not only were they completely unprofessional, but they blamed their incompetence on everyone else and myself. I went in there seeking their help while following the directions and protocol of the company that sent me there. I did not appreciate their condescending tone when asking legitimate and valid questions regarding my equipment I have in my car, or the fact they made me feel as if I did not matter to them. They negated to fill out proper paperwork and again blaming other companies and not taking accountability for their lack of knowledge on a product they install. There are plenty of other companies in Louisville that would gladly assist me. I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

I went to Discount Audio without an appointment after leaving Xtreme Autosound very upset. They are very rude, have a first come first serve policy so you have to wait or lose your place. Even if you pay and they know they cant start the work for 3 hours you must leave your car there. I was very unhappy with the attitude of the person working there and left. They basically wanted me to wait around for 6 hours and maybe they would get to it, still no guarantee they would even get the work done. I went to Discount Audio and was in and out in 2 hours and treated very well and the exact same product was about $30.00 cheaper. I highly recommend Discount Audio.

I was looking to buy a new head unit and system for my girlfriend for Christmas and I shopped around town and on the internet. When I stopped in Discount Audio I was immediately impressed with their selection, atmosphere, and staff. I was promptly greeted and had every question answered by the very knowledgeable and informative staff. I continued shopping around after my initial visit and found no better deal on the unit I had in mind and definitely found no better service anywhere else.. in some cases I couldnt even find service. I went back and got an incredibly awesome Alpine touch screen head unit and had it installed as well as a system I already owned.The installation is one of the best I have seen yet. You would never know they were ever in the car except for the banging and beautiful new system that was installed. They definitely installed it right. Even ran the bluetooth mic through the headliner to where it is flush and functional in the center of the car. As far as the sub and amp install in the trunk it was done in a very clean and professional manor as well. They even built a custom mount for the amp and installed it which is great!I could not be more satisfied with my experience at Discount Audio and will be using them for all my audio needs in the future. I would recommend them to anyone who knows a lot or nothing about car audio. They helped give my girl The best Christmas present ever! Thanks!
