I really enjoyed my experience at Frenchies! My friend and I went there for manicures and we both had a great time. They are appointment only, so make sure you call or Facebook message to get your spot.When we walked in, we were asked to wash our hands and then were led back to where they have all the colors! They have so many to choose from, it was great! After selecting our colors, we sat down at our socially distanced stations with plexiglass dividers between us and the nail artists. Everything that was used on our hands were one time use items, so the cleanliness here was amazing! I felt 100% safe with all the masks (being worn properly) and cleaning I saw happening.Overall, I’m super happy with my manicure. I had Scarlett doing my nails and she was so nice and made my nails look beautiful! My friend had Tori and her nails looked incredible by the end. Prices here are a bargain compared to the service we received!Additionally, as someone who is really hard on their nails, I noticed a few days after my appointment that I had a tiny chip in one of my nails. I messaged them on Facebook and was able to come back in and get the nail fixed free of charge since I had just been there getting them done! It’s clear that everyone here cares about their customers and they know how to turn a girl into a repeat customer! Can’t wait to go back!

I had an appointment for 10a (5/16/21) and instead of them calling me, they sent a text 45 minutes before my appointment. Mind you, I live an hour away from the salon. Then they took it upon themselves to reschedule me for 3:50p and downgrade my services. Im less than pleased with their lack of customer service. Not a phone call one. I was excited to try this place out. But they can keep their lack of professionalism and Ill go elsewhere.

I am very disappointed in the experience at Frenchie’s. I have been following Frenchies for quite some time trying to decide if it was worth the drive and money. I’ve had mani/pedi’s before but ever since a friend got a nail infection from a local place I have feared going. I liked the idea of Frenchies cleanliness and modern feel decided to try it. I thought that surely a placed in the East End of town with higher prices will provide an incredible experience. I was wrong!The only positives: I was able to get an appointment with only a 2 hour notice which was wonderful as opposed to a couple months wait at places I used before. Unfortunately, traffic was heavy and I called to ask if being 5 minutes late would cause an issue. I was prepared for my appointment to be canceled. The lady who answered was kind and stated it wouldn’t be an issue. I was 2 minutes late. I wasn’t charged the $10 upgrade fee for the “long lasting” polish because it obviously doesn’t work.The visit began with a tour the tech talked and walked fast and sounded like a recording. She obviously didn’t care for this part any more than I did. The water in the soaking tub quickly cooled and I had to ask for hot water. During my pedi the tech got up several times to answer the phone and to do things around the salon. One time she got up to deal with a walk-in customer who brought her own glitter to be applied. After the tech resumed working on my feet she still had to stop and direct the other tech in how to handle the other customer. She appeared frustrated herself but smiled and very graciously chatted with me. The water got cool again and I felt too awkward and frustrated to ask more hot water again; at this point I just wanted to be done. The interruptions continued as we moved from the pedi to the mani. I spent a long time just waiting for the next step. After a long awkward time of letting my nails dry, the tech assessed my nails and stated there were done. Within minutes 2 of the nails smudged awfully. She had to repaint those and I had to wait even longer. I could not wait to leave this place.The music was awful. There was a mixture of genres (pop, country and others) and many songs were explicit and inappropriate. It wasn’t what was expected to create an relaxing atmosphere.As far as cleanliness, other than the non-jetted tubs and lack of chemical smell things seemed the same as other paces I visited. There wasn’t appropriate hand washing or changing of gloves. The salon was also freezing.The mani/pedi was basic. With all the interuptions, I felt very frustrated and not relaxed at all. My callouses or cuticles are not any any better shape than before. The ridges in my nails weren’t even buffed which is something that makes them look manicured. When I got home my toenails were smudged. I have never has issues with name polish with any other mani/pedi.The tech was nice but with all the responsibilities she had maybe she didn’t need to take on a customer rather just run the salon. I do not blame her directly for this bad experience.I will not be back and I will not recommend any to use Frenchies. I felt more stressed when I left than before I arrived. Now I am out $87 and feel like my 8 year old could have done a better job.

They are very good and very clean. I was very happy. I had dipping powder and they don’t do it but I’m overwhelmed with the service I received.

My manicure included a warm neck wrap and scented sugar scrub. I highly recommend Kiara. My mani from her is flawless! Lovely decor, lovely people, lovely service, and lovely nails!

Frenchies is the first place Ive gone to post-lockdown for nail services. I had been impressed with their eco-friendly products and heightened cleanliness in the beforetimes, but in COVID times I refused to have anything less. Theres no lobby waiting, so they have a bell to let you in which is great to prevent crowding in the doorway or front area and everyone is in masks of course with plastic shields between you and your nail tech for the appt. I was there on a Thursday early evening and it was clear they were keeping guests paced apart so that there only a few clients in the whole salon at one time. The service itself was wonderful - the nail techs there are always gentle with my rough & gangly cuticles (most other nail salons just cut them and leave me bleeding!) and did a lovely paint job for with the gels. Lastly, I love their scrub and lotion combo from Spinster Sisters one of my favorite eco-friendly beauty brands! Safe, friendly & talented nail folks here, the best place in town for nail services!

This is my first ever manicure, and I dont think Ill go anywhere else! The people there were so friendly, and the atmosphere was so relaxing! I love my nails, and I cant wait to go back for my wedding manicure!

I am really pleased with the services I receive at Frenchie’s. I always go to Debbie, as she is very personable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. She is always pleasant and easy to talk to durning my appointments. She does my monthly pedicure with meticulous detail, and my feet are the softest they’ve been in years. I’m not sure how she does it, but my polish lasts and lasts until my next-month appointment. I don’t do my nails as a regular practice — except maybe for a special occasion — but Debbie is now doing the anti-age treatment on my hands. I have age spots and rough spots from eczema. I’ve only had three sessions but can see it is helping with dryness and spot reduction. Plus the time during the treatment is very relaxing. It seems I like to have my hands rubbed. Anyway, the softness from the treatment of lotion and the light is immediate. Even on my rough eczema spots. I will continue to have this treatment as I think it’s helping. I really recommend it if you have old-looking hands like mine. Not that I expect them to look 20 years younger, but they do look and feel better. Thanks, Debbie!!! You’re amazing.

The first thing I noticed, unlike many other salon around here was that they all speak and understood English and was very clean salon. Staff was very friendly. Loved the ambience. As soon as we went it, we were welcomed by a staff and was shown around.. They also lets you smell and choose the fragrance of lotion and scrub.. Altogether, we had a great first experience and would definitely return next time...

I always receive fantastic service when I go to Frenchies Louisville! I started going when they opened because it is super convenient for me, being 5 minutes from my house. My manicures and pedicures are always amazing!! Completely worth the extra money! It’s such a clean and fun place with some of the best nail technicians ever!!

This nail salon is extremely clean and the technicians are wonderful. They really take their time and do everything properly. I had a gel manicure and standard pedicure. My daughter (9) got a little manicure with glitter polish. We both felt very pampered. We will definitely be returning here.

Its very clean. The techs were very nice and since it was my first visit, they took me on a little tour of the place which I thought was pretty cool. I dont know what top coat she used on my nails, but my manicure (which was just a regular mani, not gel) lasted longer than most.

After having several manicure and pedicure services, I can say that hands down this is the best nail experience I’ve ever had. Prior to visiting Frenchies, I had never had my nails done where I thought that everything was properly sanitized. At Frenchies, clean nails are their priority. From the products they use to the process for cleaning their tools, it’s meticulous. They even showed me their cleaning room! The nail techs are also very friendly and do excellent work. They are attentive and want to make sure that you are completely satisfied. Complimentary beverages, warm neck wraps... I just can’t say enough about this salon. So glad it has finally come to Louisville!

We absolutely love this place. They take cleanliness very seriously and even sterilize their metal tools in an autoclave. The staff is extremely friendly. They even had a special setup for my 4 year old! I will never go anywhere else and I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

Ive been looking for a new nail salon for a while and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Frenchies. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was unlike any other salon in town. It was clean and relaxing and an extremely enjoyable experience. Emily did a fantastic job on my mani/pedi. I highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

Went for the first time today to get a pedicure, and it was the best one I’ve ever had. Kiki was awesome! She did a great job, and she was so sweet. I will definitely be back. The salon is very clean, and they are very sanitary with their tools. Everyone was so friendly, and I felt right at home. I can’t wait to go back! And the callous softener they use is a must buy!!

The owner needs to put the name of the shop on the plaza billboard so that people will know that they are there, when I asked how long they have been open, I was told they have been open over a year. Wow!! I never noticed the shop, until I just happened to be walking around the plaza. My first visit was good. My nail tech Shamika was awesome. I only have one criticism, and that was regarding the receptionist Megan, who showed a little bit of an attitude, simply because I didnt express an interest in a tour of the shop, my reason is because I was short on time and needed to get in & out quick. She needs to check that, other than this, everything went alright, I even made another appt.

My stepdaughter and I enjoyed a wonderful mani pedi experience here! Its clean, the staff is so friendly, and theres a great overall atmosphere that leaves you feeling relaxed and welcomed. Well be heading back again soon!

I have nothing bad to say about the place. Scheduling is easy, it’s clean, there isn’t acrylic dust flying around, I was seen on time, Kiara (my technician was focused on me, not her phone or chatting with colleagues) and I’m beyond pleased with the outcome of the services rendered (classic gel mani and classic pedi).Yes, Frenchie’s does have a higher price point than mainstream nail shops and independent technicians. However, factors such as a language barrier, wait times, distractions, etc. don’t exist at Frenchie’s. Therefore, despite being a single mother with tight finances and limited support and resources, I will be budgeting to ensure that I’m able to make Frenchie’s my go-to spot.I was most impressed with the fact that Kiara was beyond attentive where my particulars and “look fors” were concerned. She also held space for me not to talk, which meant more than she’ll ever know. I was having a bad day, and feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders. I needed to be still and quiet to sort through some things in my head and heart. I put my earbuds in and zoned out. Kiara asked what was on my playlist, and in her own way, let me know that I could chat if I wanted, but didn’t get in her feelings and act hurt or whatever, when I sat quietly. I needed that. What she showed is the highest level of professionalism and decorum.My only constructive feedback: If a customer confirms via text, consider not following up with a call. If I stop my work day to answer a call on my cell, it’s an emergency, a cancellation or addition to my schedule, etc. When some of us take time out of our work day to answer a confirmation call confirming something we’ve already confirmed, it’s an absolute disruption and interruption. Such was definitely the case for me when I got the call, and answered ONLY because I thought my appt was being cancelled or needed to be changed.You have card information. If someone doesn’t come, cancels at the last minute, is late beyond the grace period, etc., the policy takes effect. No call in addition to the text, needed.

Walked in after working a 12 hour shift and just needed my nails done...I was told they couldnt service me b/c she was the only one there but saw other employees...this was an hour and a half before they closed. Super unprofessional, couldnt make eye contact and had an excuse for everything. Its not a secret society its just nails!
