I thought we was gonna lose our girl twice! Im so glad that you took such good care of her. She had to stay over the Holiday weekend, and every day you called me and let me know how she was. Thank you so much. You all are the best.
Steph is very friendly courteous and kind and also very helpful the veterinarians take time to explain everything to you before you leave make sure you understand everything about your pet the veterinarians office is very clean and tidy with a lot of room for you and your pet to sit there is an ample amount of parking spaces have been taking care of my dog for 3 years and I highly recommend them for anybody that has a pet
I have been with Gailor for years with several different dogs, when we first went there it was Great! I have new babies and the place has went downhill. The Vets are great however the staff is rude, very inconsiderate and the girls that answer the phone SHOULDNT! They have no customer service skills, I see many standing around when I pull up and wait for an hour when I made an appt.
I have been going to this animal hospital for years and the staff is very nice and so is the doctors. They have been very good with my animals and I would recommend anyone to take their pets there. I like this place more than any other place by far.
I am new to this hospital and I can honestly say after my first visit I am in loved with it. All the staff were very helpful, professional, kind and trustworthy. The dr. Called me about my car right after the visit and that made me even more at ease. I LOVE this hospital and would 100 percent recommend to everyone looking for a vet. I’m confident in saying I will be a long time supporter and will take my pets to this hospital every time .
They took great care of our older dog, who had to have ACL surgery. We felt like she was in really good hands!
Never had a bad experience going on about 14 yrs. now. Dr. Lackey is great and Dr. Gailor is the only person I’d take a dog to for knee surgery. Heather is great too and the receptionist work hard to get you in and out. Value is fair based on conversations I’ve had with others who go elsewhere. They seem to care, are genuine and that’s more important to me.
All the vets and staff at this office are very thorough. As well as professional. I will only trust Gailors for my pets needs.
They saved our puppy from a severe case of Parvo. She was hospitalized for 8 days with IV, antibiotics & dextrose, temp monitoring, glucose monitoring, daily phone updates and exceptional care. They were more than reasonably priced, especially compared to other local hospitals. Our bill came to $800. She would have certainly died if it werent for their quick intervention. She had been sick for 3 days and was lifeless when we took her in.
Was horrified at the lack of care for my dying animal, it was all about the money and fake platitudes all the while we were just begging for our babys suffering to end. We were quoted a standard price several times, and wasnt informed until the IV was in our Babys arm and all we have to do is pay the bill to get the medicine, that we would be charged for a service we did not receive and charged again for communal cremation which had not been mentioned the numerous times we called the office in preparation. We were far from having enough money but thank God we were able to call someone on the spot to get more money otherwise I wouldnt know what would happen, since they had already put the IV in. The way the male nurse carried our pet back in, tucked under his arm like a sack of flour, knowing she was old and frail was careless and heartless beyond words. When explaining one of the charges he even insinuated that we needed to have an exam because they had never treated our pet before and we could be putting her down simply because we dont want to care for her anymore. All in all it took over an hour of our baby laying on a metal table with both arms wrapped, because the first IV attempt failed, for her to finally have peace. This was supposed to be a solemn event and a final goodbye to an old friend but instead was filled with arguments, confusion, and the Male nurse constantly trying to pet and hold down OUR pet. The insensitivity has made me hate this place, and Im very unlikely to ever bring another animal there again for these reasons.
We have been going here for years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my babies. Gailor Animal Hospital always provides the best care. All of the staff is so nice and very professional. We see Dr. Kylye Roberts and she is the most caring, compassionate, and honest vet I have ever met. You can tell she really loves animals and always makes me feel comfortable even if one of my babies has to have a scary procedure. She cares for my dogs like she would her own. I am a crazy dog mom and I am a nervous wreck when it comes to anything being wrong with my dogs. She always comforts me and is honest when there are risks involved, but she makes me feel comfortable and confident that everything is going to be ok. I live close by but I would drive hours if I didn’t. If you are looking for a new place to take your animals-go to Gailor Animal Hospital .
Outstanding place. Very fair prices, and incredible care provided to pets. I am very happy with Gailor.
Rusty and his staff are exceptionally the best vets I have ever visited, they go out of their way to make sure your pet is in the best shape possible. I really appreciate everything they do for my dogs and couldn’t ask for a better veterinarian.
They have always taken excellent care of my pets. I would not go anywhere else. They treat both owner and pets with compassion. Excellent care always
I have been here twice. The first time I came here with a scheduled appointment, their phone was not working half of the time. It took me 30 minutes to check in with another 30 minutes to wait for the vet to be available.I figured it was a one time thing so I gave them another shot. Turns out, I was wrong to do so. One month later, I come back with a scheduled appointment at 9 AM and their phones are not even working at all. They’re completely disconnected so there’s no way to check in besides to park your car and leave your hazard lights on as instructed. However, I waited an hour and there was still no help. In addition, the two cars next to me who arrived AFTER me were both served before me and were finished before me as well. After an HOUR wait with NO help, I decided to go up to an employee and asked to get checked in. They told me they would look my pet up and then be out with me shortly. After 20 minutes, I still haven’t been met with anybody.HORRIBLE experience. I’m sure they take great care of your pets but there needs to be some serious evaluation with the receptionists.Edit: An hour after I had left, the vet called me back to apologize and explain what happened. She was very nice! She made amends and rescheduled me. For now, I’m keeping my rating until I come back again.Edit #2: When I came back, their phone were working and my dog was treated immediately. Experience was much quicker and much smoother!
We are so impressed with the doctors, they care about the animal and go to extensive lengths to diagnose without charging for a zillion tests! Dr. Gailor is one of the AWESOME vets here.
Had a great first experience at Gailor Animal Hospital.First, the place is laid out in a great design, ensuring that YOUR furkid wont have to share close quarters with others; lots of space.Secondly, they have wonderful ceramic tile floors for your baby to lay on while waiting, as well as benches with ample hiding room, for those who really arent too keen on seeing the Dr.While waiting, (maybe 10 min, but we were 15 min early) we enjoyed the fact that animals arent cramped up.We saw Dr Adam Herre, D.V.M. today. He was very relaxed and calming, recommending several different options. The Vet techs were awesome; I couldnt believe how quickly they got her nails trimmed!!They also came in to help hold Denim during her shots. Great!!!We had been looking for a Vet, and came here after reading the great Google reviews, then having a groomer say that was who they recommended also. This is now our Vet, & I hope that other people looking for a great Vet come here also. You will LOVE how they treat you and your baby.
Very fair prices and Dr. Renck is always wonderful with my cat, Ollie, who isnt the biggest fan of the vet. They are also doing a great job navigating their way through Covid. Thanks for taking such good care of my kitties :)
I have been bringing my dogs here for years. I drive 45 mins to get there. They do great with my boys and are so helpful. Recently they told me my dogs needed allergy shots, I’d never done that or even been told that (my oldest is 15) HE STOPPED LICKING AND ITCHING. I know that may seem small but now everyone can sleep through the night and I am so thankful for them and their wonderful vets. I trust them completely and it’s worth the drive. Everyone is so professional and really love animals.
The only place I would take my cane corso!
As far as I’m concerned, the only choice in Louisville. I drive 25 miles to see Dr Gailor and his reliable staff.
I have been taking all my kiddos to Gailor for over 5 years. They are great! Caring to both their patients and their parents ❤️
I found a stray cat in the parking lot at work, and took her into Gailor per the recommendation of a co-worker. The staff were amazing! They went over her with a fine toothed comb! She needed shots, to be spayed, and have her top canines removed because they were broken. They were great with Zelda, and since she required an uncommon surgery, the owner preformed her surgery. I thought all of this would add up to an astronomical sum, but I was surprised by how inexpensive it actually was. So, if I could give them more then 5 stars I would! She is now a healthy and happy house cat!
Brought my to be groomed its a long haired chihuahua I told them I just wanted a trim I got a bucherd job I couldnt tell he was a long haired chihuahua any more I thought they were professional there they have have seen the last of me will never be back I am willing to pay top dollar for a good job but he doesnt even look like a long haired chihuahua any more
THE BEST,best animal hospital around the world! Dr Rusty Gailor is a miracle that every single animal deserves to be seen by him or his staff....cant say enough about these vets and the vet techs!! they are heaven sent! 🙌🏻🐾💯♥️
I cannot say enough good things about Gailor Animal Hospital. I recently had to do the worst thing a pet Mom ever has to do. Say good bye to my beautiful dog. He started to get bad really quick. I reached out to Heather in their office. She offered to contact a vet for me and see if they would come in after hours to allow me to say good bye to my boy. Not only did they come back into the clinic, they did this as 10 p.m. Dr. Lackey came from her home in Bardstown, KY to do this for me and my dog. Theyd showed so much compassion to him and me over the past year trying to keep him healthy. This was an extension of them caring for me and him. Ill forever be indebted to them for this. This kind of compassion you just dont see much any more. These ladies care! What a blessing to have them when I needed them most.
Dr Gailor is the best. Bringing my fur babies for over 20 years
These people treat your furry kids just like their own. Very very knowledgeable staff here. Try them once an they will be your choice for life.
We have used Gailor for many years. They have helped many of our babies one with all kinds of weird issues. Their staff is always helpful and knowledgeable and also very compassionate in those times of hard decisions and goodbyes. We highly recommend them for your babies health and wellness needs.
When trusting a vet with the health of your dog you expect listening and understanding. I called about getting my pet in as she cut her paw up real good and has a twisted claw. Apparently that’s not enough of a reason to get in today. Not even an attempt to fit me in. I was told Tuesday would be the next available appointment. A slap in the face as far as I’m concerned. I’ll be ending my 4 year run with Gailor.
The absolute best Veterinarian care in Louisville. Kind, gentle caring staff! I would never ever take my fur-babies anywhere else.
I wanted to thank Angie, during these times of Covid-19 she help me out and I appreciate it! Gailor hospital has some awesome employees! Thanks again!
I will NEVER go to another vet other than Gailor. We have been in multiple situations where we needed to get in immediately and they have always been accommodating/compassionate/understanding and every other amazing word you can think of.I own 4 pit bulls and they love each one of my babies like their own. So thankful to have such an amazing vet in our lives.
What a caring staff. We had to put our sweet 17 yr old Chloe down yesterday. The staff came out to the car and we discussed her condition. When we were ready they came and got her, placed her IV and brought her back to us wrapped in a blanket. Again, they gave us time with her. The dr then came out and explained what would occur. She hooked up the IV to the tubing and injected the meds. It was very difficult but very peaceful. Every step of the way they asked if we needed more time with our baby. Great job Gailor staff. We appreciate you.Maria and Nathan
Best pet care, anywhere!!!Love the Gailor Animal Hospital staff!!!
We live in a small town 30 minutes from Louisville. We moved to the area about a year ago and the first vet that we found was significantly more expensive than any vet we’d ever been to. We could not be more happy after switching to Gailor and we wish we’d done it sooner. Great care and very affordable. Easy to get an appointment and everything is very concise and transparent.
Our lab had ACL surgery with Dr. Gailor. He came highly recommended from our neighbor who researched this procedure extensively for her golden doodle. I used him as a second opinion, but elected for him to do the surgery. The price included the surgery and all follow up consults, medications and therapies. I recommend Dr Gailor and his staff immensely. They are knowledgeable and thoughtful. In fact, I have switched vets entirely even though his office is in the south end and not convenient to my home.
Dr. Gailor is awesome. Took care of my baby. Also charged a fair price I could afford. The staff their are great. Kelly was wonderful taking care of Jack. This was my first time there. Will definitely be a new patient. Jacks surgery went good. Thank you Dr gailor and staff.
I can have pretty high standards at times, and this place meets them. They are always nice when you walk in the door, and my wait time has never been long. The vets I’ve encountered are knowledgeable and compassionate. They try to work with your budget the best they can. No place is perfect but this place really strives for it and hasn’t gone unnoticed by me.
Gailor Animal Hospital is the best! We live in the east end and drive past several other vets because our experiences at Gailor have been so much better. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and down to earth. In addition, pricing is much more affordable than what we have seen at other places. Dr. Roberts is fantastic and is the best vet dr we could ever ask for. Highly recommend.
Kind caring staff. Friendly competent medical advice. Decent prices. Clean facilities. Its a win win all around.
The vet is very nice but the employees at the front desk are so rude. They act as if they are doing me a favor by being there when I go. They could really use some training on customer care. I go every month for a nail trim and hope for a pleasant experience and I am always disappointed with their lack of customer service. Today I called because I know times are weird with the virus. I was asking if they were doing nail trimming and she laughed at me. Then proceeds to tell me yeah, honey. I dont know what to tell you but we aint doing that right now. which I understand but no need to be rude to me it wasnt a dumb question phone call. I have a large dog and I cannot trim his nails so I asked what she thinks I should do because i think its animal cruelty and painful to let them get long. AND again she laughs and says I dont know what to tell ya, youll have to figure it out.
My dog spent the last couple of weeks of her life in pain. She was a patient at Gailor. I knew something was wrong about a month and half ago and had bloodwork they said they did not see anything to worry about. Then she hurt her leg and wasnt eating, we visited again, things were just not right. Once again, Dr. Herrean suggested more medicine and bought there food because they said to try it. We took her the last Saturday in March to Jefferson Animal Hospital because she was in a lot of pain and would not even get up for the bathroom. She got great care and all the medical attention she should have had at Gailor. They found a break in her left back leg that was some of the pain. Gailor did not even x ray they gave her muscle relaxer. To our horror, they also found from the xray, that same left leg was losing bone density, she had two slip disks in her back causing paralysis and a huge mass in her stomach which they told us it was probably cancer but to be sure they would need an ultrasound. When we took her we carried her in by board because she couldt even walk. Oh, and the blood work Jefferson did show some cause for concern. Gailor noted the same results but told me they did not see anythig alarming. The vet at Jefferson thinks cancer may have gone from stomach to leg or leg to stomach. I just feel horrible we had no idea about the health issues she was having after being at Gailor several times to get help. I wished we had spent the hundreds of dollars at Jefferson to get the help my dog needed and maybe at least she would not have been in so much pain when we had to let her go. I also wish when we had to switch vets because Auburndale Animal Clinci closed that we had chosen Jeffeson to transfer her medical care to.
I have no idea to know where to begin to talk about Gailor Animal Hospital. I consider my pets as my children. So yesterday when we had to make the tough decision to have our beloved dog of 14 years put to sleep this office and Dr.Gailor showed nothing but compassion, honesty, and respect for us and our dog. This was a horrible time for my husband and I as he was our first baby and Im not sure what we would have done without them! I truly feel if you want someone who cares enough about your pet to put them first, talk through things with you good and bad and maybe even cry a little with you than look no further this is your office!
Dr Gailor and ALL of the staff at this animal hospital are top notch! They go above and beyond to take care of our first family members.Thank you for all that you all do!
My trust was lost pretty quickly. I was excited to try this place. the prices are very fair and the ratings are great. My pet was taken out of the exam room where i was into a back room to have a test ran. while back there, another procedure was performed without my knowledge or consent. I was told they obtained a urine sample after the fact. I was not told HOW they obtained it. Again i never asked for them to do this. But OK, a urine sample fine. you took him out to potty and got it that way. NO! When i got home his little belly was bleeding and i saw what was an injection site. They took urine from his bladder via needle. He was either bleeding under the skin, bruised etc. i was worried so i called Blue Pearl who had me email them a pic of the situation. When they took the urine they nicked his vein which is causing massive bruising. Blue Pearl said hes fine, probably pretty tender, but fine and still keep an eye on the area.My point is this: dont do a procedure unless you first ask the client. what if i didnt have the money to pay? Also make sure you point out any complications/ side effects about said procedure. I would have felt much better knowing the bleeding and bruising were normal. He shouldnt have it at all because it was unnecessary to put him through that. The vet and tech had to know he was bleeding and should have brought that to my attention instead of letting me find that on my own. Really the prices were the only thing great about this place. The doctor was very nice, but Everything else felt rushed. I would have been OK with that but im wondering now if thats why i wasnt consulted.did they not have time to walk back to where i was to ask if it was ok to get a urine sample? I’m sure they’re very knowledgeable etc it would just have been nice to have more communication.
This place is hands down the best animal clinic around. Everyone from the front desk staff, techs and doctors have been wonderful with my babies, two of which arent the easiest to deal with( theyre biters). I was very hesitant about switching vets and they have made the transition to a new clinic with six animals as smooth as possible for me. Plus knowing that I can schedule appointments and not waste away my day waiting to be seen is a huge advantage. Dr. Gailor and staff are tops in my book.
I have had animals 40 + years. I have been to a number of veterinarians. Gailor Animal Hospital in Louisville Kentucky, is an excellent place to take your pets. Front desk staff and the veterinarians are very knowledgeable, kind and very caring to the animals. I drive across town to take Bentley, my dog, to this animal hospital. I wont go any place else. Its the best in Louisville Kentucky.
I really don’t know where to start. My parents took our family animals here (both dogs and cats) and now I take my babies here too. Not only are they super professional but are some of the most compassionate people. They are very attentive to their customers. I feel comfortable asking prices there because I am a frugal person and the staff doesn’t treat you differently because of it. If it’s your first time going you can expect that you might have to wait 10/15 mins to get into a room and there will most likely be about 3/4 ppl in line to check in most of the time(especially on Saturday).Just from a practical stand point: 1. They treat customers very respectfully. 2. They have quality care. 3. They care about their customers to tell them if your animal should get particular services/vaccines based on your animal’s living situation and health. 4. They have recently adjusted their hours during the week that I can take them after I get off work. 5. Their prices are cheaper than the VCA for most of the services(at least the ones that I have had to pay for).I recently had to put my kitty down. they did not rush me and told me to take my time. The vet explained the options and was extremely comforting during the process. Her reaction to all of this is why I schedule appointments based on her availability. I have nothing but good things to say about Gailor!
I moved from Illinois to Kentucky recently and was very nervous about finding a good animal hospital in the Louisville area. I am very happy I found Gailor Animal Hospital. This was the best choice I have made since moving here!! The doctors, technicians, kennel staff, and receptionists are knowledgable, friendly, and experienced when it comes to pets and customer service. Their prices are super affordable and the service and care provided is high-end. My animals have seen each of the doctors there and I would trust every staff member caring for my pets. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an animal hospital in Louisville!
All three of my doggies are patients there. They have been seen by all four of the doctors and everyone has been great and knowledgeable. We especially love Dr. Lackey! The staff is very friendly and are all animal lovers. Whenever we need something they always make sure we are taken care of! If you are looking for a new vets office or to switch...Go There!
Wouldnt take my pets any where else! The compassion and care that my fur-babies receive far surpasses anything I could ask for and more! Very grateful for this hospital!
Took my elderly Scottie in for assessment of tooth access and swollen glands. She was treated gently and throughly. This was my first time there and I was impressed so far.
Awesome vets! Give lots of time and attention to pet and owners. We have a dog and a cat, and have had great experiences with both. Our dog loves Dr Lackey- she lays by her and Dr Lackey sits on the floor rubbing her ears while she patiently answers our endless questions. Dr Herre has been very patient and helpful with us adapting to having an aging cat (18 1/2). You may spend a few minutes in the waiting room but it is worth it because it means they are giving top notch care to their clients. My father in law is a vet so we have high expectations for our animals care, and they exceed these expectations consistently.
I love this animal hospital, they have cared for all of my fur babies for years and they are wonderful. Good pricing and amazing doctors! Thank you Gailor Animal Hospital ❤️
Gailor always goes above and beyond. My little minpin is a ball of anxiety and they work so well with her! They are friendly and compassionate! The staff is wonderful! I wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else!
Excellent doctors and affordable prices. Love Team Gailor!
They gave my cat Midnight the wrong dose of flea medicine. I didnt realize until after I put it on her that it was for Dogs. I kept an eye on her to make sure it didnt harm her. But the next time, she probably wont get lucky. But Im taking my cats somewhere else and Im gonna get her check by a different vet to see shes ok
I cannot praise the staff at Gailor enough for their exceptional service and care. If there were more stars Id give them. Ive been taking my fur babies to this clinic for the past couple of years for vaccinations and routine procedures and every experience has been great. We just went through a spay procedure yesterday and I was very nervous, but Dr. Herre and the girls made me feel comfortable, never rushed, addressed all questions and concerns as if we were the only patients there. And Mias incision is medically speaking beautiful, barely there and very clean. I am very happy!
Usually, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The care my animals receive is outstanding. HOWEVER, after my dog’s test was done today and I was paying, I asked the receptionist one simple question: if I could schedule something for my animals in February, per the doctors recommendation. She had the nerve to LAUGH at my face in a room FULL of people (also a line behind me!) instead of just saying something like “we only schedule to ____, you could try calling back at x point in time, etc” The look on her face really showed she thought I was an idiot for asking something like that. I don’t know how far the scheduling goes out, that’s why I asked. Needless to say, this experience really ruined an otherwise good visit and my day. Teach your employees some respect.
I have visited Gailor several times with my pets. They are quite happy and so am I. Will definitely be back! Staff is very caring and supportive. It is definitely a positive experience and a wonderful atmosphere. THANKS!
I cant say enough good things about Gailor Animal Hospital. Dr. Gailor, Dr. Lackey, and Dr. Herre are all very kind, attentive, informative, and compassionate. Dr. Gailor worked with a specialist at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists (who I would also recommend) and together they saved my dogs life after he was misdiagnosed at his original vet. They also worked towards providing the best care while giving me financial choices that I could afford without compromising his care. The front desk staff and nurses there are just as great, they are always nice and greet me AND my dog when we come in. Since we started going there 2 years ago, I have consistently been impressed with the care he receives and recommend Gailor Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a new vet.
We were sent to Gailor Animal Hospital 14 years ago with a sick German Shepherd. And have been a customer since.. The staff is so awesome and personable.Doc Gailor is the BEST.. Cant say enough good things we tell everyone how much we adore Gailor Animal Hospital and Staff...
This is about customer Service. I called this morning to ask a Question about my cats records. Angie, was very kind and respectful towards me. Did not rush me off the phone. She even laughed. As an office manager for a dental office. I always look to see how I am treated when I make Dr. Appointments for me and my family (cat). She was great and made me feel like she cared. I have always used Gailor for all the pets I have ever had, and they always seen to treat them very well. Thanks so Much for being A great place to take my Baby.Sonia LaClair
As far as Im concerned Gailor Animal Hospital is the best vet in the city of Louisville. They have been tremendously helpful with my two special need fur babies... They have provided excellent care for both of them, even on an emergency basis and they even extended my black labs life by 2 years after she had a spinal injury. When we had to put her down at the beginning of this year, I have never felt so much love in one room. It was extremely touching. I think this whole practice is amazingly awesome.
I LOVE the the care and attention the staff gives me. They are wonderful with my pets and all 6 of my animals are known by name by the staff. The doctors and technicians all take time answering questions and talking to me about the health of all my babies! Wouldnt choose to go anywhere else!!! =)
Best vet in Louisville! Gailor has, by far, the best DVMs, front staff, vet techs, and boarding staff. They are thorough, compassionate, accommodating, and you become like family. I truly love these people and am thankful to have them in our community.
Revised - - My dog had an obstruction in her intestines. I told the doctor she ate a flip flop. So they recommended I get an x Ray. When they found no obstruction they recommended I get blood tests. When they found no irregularities in her blood they suggested I spend 800-1600.00 on an exploratory surgery to go through her intestines for an obstruction they can’t find on x Ray. When I asked the doctor why would we be concerned if they found no obstruction on the x Ray he said well, we can’t see plastic on x Ray.... then why did you make me pay for an x Ray to look for something you won’t be able to find. After I refused to spend 800-1600 on a surgery they said we want to put some kind of injection in her so she don’t get dehydrated. They asked to do this right after she drank an entire bowl of water. Needless to say i was not happy at all.Update 8/6/19 - - Rusty Gailor personally called me about my experience at Gailor Animal Hospital. Rusty did explain a couple of wrong items I wrote in the review so Ive edited them to make sure an accurate description is displayed. Rusty was educated and informative when explaining why the x ray was requested and then the blood work. It makes more sense now than previously explained. The X ray, even though it does not show the flip flop on the x ray showed the gases behind the possible obstruction in my dogs intestines. That way if surgery was needed, they have a better idea where to start. After talking to Rusty, we both agreed that surgery was imminent. Rusty agreed to personally conduct the surgery on my dog as requested. In dealing with Rusty I felt more informed and understanding of the entire process of things. Rusty and I agreed there was a lack of communication and understanding between myself and the doctor that my dog saw.Just an FYI, I didnt want a bad dealing with Gailor, I just wanted my pet to be properly taken care of and she was... with a bit of misunderstandings. Currently she is there being taken care of. Will update any future information.Update 8/7/19 This has been a long process. it started out rough and through alot of communication its become an extremely pleasant experience. So my dog went in for surgery. Doctor Gailor called and through a network of issues she ended up having surgery. Doctor Gailor did his best to not require surgery but it was inevitable. We picked up our dog the next day. she was in high hopes seeing me and my g/f. Were not quite out of the rough yet but things are looking up instead of down now. A moment where we thought she might not live has turned around and we should have her for a very long time. Special thanks specifically to Doctor Gailor for the amazing job he did. The communication between him and expectations of lucy are excellent at this point. Im so happy that Doctor Gailor called us back when he did because if he hadnt, we might not of had her for much longer. Thanks Doctor Gailor.
We have been going to Gailor Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They take the best care of our animals. They are friendly and compassionate. I wont go anywhere else.
My daughter took our dog Daisy Mae in an emergency situation this was our first time there she took her with the thought that she was going to euthanized thats how serious it was but .....they saved her she is home had surgery but she is doing fantastic I love this place and I am eternally grated to have my baby home ❤
My wife works there 😉 and they have a great staff plus amaizng doctors. When our dog passed, they were there for us every step of the way. They did their best to help us out throughout the whole process of her being sick. Couldnt have asked for a better Vet clinic.
The stafff at Gailor Animal Hospital is wonderful. They are very educated. The doctor that I cant remember his name but looks like Ron White is my favorite. He is always very efficient.
Waited 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment. I got there 15 minutes early, and waited 30 minutes after my appointment time with nothing said to me about the wait. I asked the receptionist if it usually took that long before an appointment and all she said was there were other appointments before mine, no apology or anything. Ive worked for many vets so I get it gets busy sometimes, but that was just unacceptable service. I cancelled the appointment and left. I could have had my dog seen faster walking in at some places.
I have been going to Gailor for over 10 years. They have taken care of my cat and my dog. The Drs are nice and the boarding is amazing also. I highly recommend this place!
Gailor Animal Hospital is the only place I will ever take my pets. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Everyone there is friendly and helpful.
I absolutely love this veterian hospital! Im so glad someone recommended it to me. Its a little bit of a drive from Fern Creek but well worth it. The prices are fair and they really do care about your little fur babies.
I love Gailor Animal Hospital. I wouldnt take my pets anywhere else. All the staff is helpful in getting my dogs what they need.
Very compassionate and caring, Dr Gailor explained everything to detail in a way we were able to understand, very knowledgeable, the place is clean and the waiting time is never long, wouldnt take my babies anywhere else 💖💖💖
Have taken my dogs here for years! Staff is always friendly and helpful, they get us in quick, and are very knowledgeable! Highly recommend!
Love Gailor animal hospital staff and Vets, my pups and I are always greeted with smiles and the best groomer in town is there as well my babies only go to Gailor’s the Veterinarians are knowledgeable as well as the staff always helpful.
I have been taking my pets here for years. They are hands down the best!!! All of the staff and vets are wonderful.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Gailor and the other providers. I drive 40 minutes to take my dogs and cat to his clinic. He goes above and beyond the call and when he has to deliver bad news--my boxer was just diagnosed with lymphosarcoma--takes special time and care to inform the owner of their options and have treated my pets with the best care around. I hate reading the poor office staff reviews--what human doctors office staff is polite and organized--come on! They face a million phone calls and walk-ins and have always been polite and thorough to me. Wouldnt go anywhere else in Jeff Co.
I have 3 dogs that treat at Gailor, but I am very disappointed that it is so hard to get in. The past 3 times my dogs needed a vet, Tailor was either closed, or I was told they were booked up, and couldnt see my dog. They are great as long as your pet doesnt need to be seen the same day. I hate to go to the vet where you have to wait 7 hours, but that seems to be what I will have to do.
I wouldnt take my Pibbles anywhere else. They are very friendly and cost-efficient. They love on my pitbulls, whereas most would shun them!!
The best care I could receive for my fur babies ....love all the vets and staff here., would never take them any where else...😊
I took my little pooh bear there last week and it was a great place to take your babies to get checked out.
I went with a friend of mine and the overall experience was good. The staff was caring and the environment was nice. I will return with my cats the next time I need their shots....
We have taken our furbabies here for about 20 years. They have always been caring and professional. I have recommended them repeatedly.
Cant say enough great things about the staff and doctors at Gailor Animal Hospital. All of my fur-babies have ben coming here since they were puppies and my oldest is getting ready to turn 17. I love that they have acupuncture and laser therapy, since doing these for my old man Ive seen such a dramactic difference; he actually is running and playing like he is a puppy again! They are simply the Best in Louisville and surrounding areas!
What a great experienceAfter reading a couple reviews I was a little worried but as soon as I walked in I could tell that everything was going to be great. Thanks again
Super nice, in & out within an hour when they were packed!!
I had a dying cat and said that I had to have an appointment. they couldnt take him till the next day. they said take him to Jefferson animal hospital. I live right across the street from gailor. what heartless people
We have been taking our pets to Gailors for more than a decade now, not just for medical care, but we kennel them there several times a year when we go out of town. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the care they provide. They have been there through happy times and sad times, and have been real friends through both. We are getting ready to move out of the neighborhood, but will always bring our Sophie and Jasmine to Gailors for care and kenneling. They feel like family.
Excellent vets! Wouldnt take my pets anywhere else.
I was a first time caller, and the receptionist abruptly hung up on me. I was hoping to get established at this office as my friend has been taking their pets there for years, This was a extremely disappointing first interaction.
I love the staff they are always so helpful andUnderstanding. They treat every pet like its their own.
I switched to Gailor from another clinic because the other clinic did not take appointments. I felt like I needed more of a relationship with the vet since my dog was ten years old. I realized that he may begin to have issues. Was I glad I switched! On our first visit, Dr Gailor found Bentleys heart murmur and put him on medication and a prescription diet. It made such a difference in Bentleys energy level that I realized that this could not be a new problem, just an un-diagnosed one. Now, three years later, Bentley just turned thirteen and I know that I can attribute his still being with us to the care he has received at Gailor.
Excellent care excellent service. dr. Gailor saved my boys leg after being hit by a car even tho other vets said it couldnt be done. I trust gailor with everything. I wouldnt take my business or dogs anywhere else even if it was free.
