Being a female I have never liked taking my car to a mechanic. I feel like I should just open up my checkbook and say here....make it out for whatever you need to fix my car. Not with Rods Automotive Services! I told them the problem and they fixed my car for a reasonable price, and since I was on my way to work, they had it done quickly. I was in awe! I called my mother and told her I finally found a mechanic shop for my car! Rods is where I plan on taking my car if I have a problem in the future. Honest mechanics and good prices! Thanks guys!

I went to this shop because I try to support local businesses. I asked to have my oil changed, spark plugs changed, and to see about how much it would cost to fix my AC and rear brakes.I understand the $50 labor cost for seeing about my AC, but $70 to change my oil? Didnt change my spark plugs like I asked. Claimed to have looked at them, but not what I asked them to do. My plugs have over 150,000 miles on them, and I know they need to be changed. Quoted me $2,000 to fix my AC and $450 to change my rear brakes. The mechanic here saw a young female and seized the opportunity to take advantage.I left with oil that wasnt even the correct viscosity for my car (it takes 5W-20 and I noted that the sticker says 5W-30 that they stuck in my windshield) and $120 poorer.Called my mechanic back in my hometown, which is about 2 hours away, to see if they would take a look at my car. Parts to have my rear brakes changed and the AC to be fixed came out to be $150. I got the same work done for a fraction of the price that this shop tried to charge me.TL;DR - Take your business elsewhere because they will price gouge you, especially if you are a woman.

Repair services were fairly priced and the turnaround time was reasonable. Had a small issue related to the repair a few weeks after service, and they took care of it quickly and at no charge. Will definitely bring my business back.

Good guys doing good work

I went to Rods for a transmission service. The did the job without delay. My daughter drove me there to get my car. Her car was making noise so I had them check it out as well. They fixed the front wheel bearing and tie rod end. Two cars in one day what great service.

I had an issue with my truck this past weekend and was looking for a place to take it to have it fixed ASAP. Rod’s accommodated me as soon as they opened on Monday morning and had it fixed by the end of the day. They quoted me a price and when they were done fixing and replacing the part that was broken, charged me less than originally quoted. I also had a million questions to ask because I am curious about what goes wrong in vehicles and Ron, the employee who assisted me and worked on my truck, obliged all of my questions and explained them in a manner where I could comprehend. Would def take my business here again.

Only Rods has touched my vehicles Since I was 16 years old am now 54 not even a dealer has touched them...

I was on a road trip around the country and experienced car issues in Louisville. I found Rods automotive and appreciated how kind Rod and his staff were before any work started. I explained my situation to Rod and he even gave me a discount. So far so good.Neither Rod nor any of his staff were able to diagnose the issue. The mechanics thought it was a transmission issue even though the issue (a noise) was happening while the car was sitting in neutral and not even in gear. My mechanic - in Connecticut - explained this over the phone to Rods mechanic.I was able to SELF-DIAGNOSE the issue to be AC-related while continuing on the road trip.When it came time to pay Rod increased the price by $150+. When I told him about his originally quoted price and discount, he - in front of other customers - threatened to rip the parts out of the hood of my car.

The mechanic left his cigarette butt in a place of my car that gets hot and I had to fish it out because it was charring and smoking up when I would drive for extended periods.

They were friendly, quickly found out the issue my car was having and fixed it for a fair price and even offered me a Sprite to drink. I will be returning to this local business.
