Erick is AMAZING.The man needs a raise. He replaced the CVT transmission within a week, explained EVERYTHING to me, approved me for a 12 month financing on a 5k+ cost of the new transmission. His customer service is above and beyond. I will refer any friends or family needing car repair to this location. I could not be happier with the way things turned out. I took my car there had my transmission rebuild and less then 10,000 miles my car locks up and I was told my transmission cause my timing to go out and I have to repay to replace transmission and timing only two months after they had my car looking into cause they said my battery I come with new battery its my keys I have key reprogrammed and then it is a solution to pay for the list of new repairs cause by them and they I have to pay 25 a day for storage for them taking there time and because it is under warranty so I paid 27000 to get my car back and it is not fixed and no list provided of issues to this day .ripp off bad service car under 600000 miles will not even run. So you take your car plan on it not coming back.or they want to sale it.

Extremely shady practices. I was told my van needed a new transmission, yet they hadnt even drove it to know what was wrong. When questioned about it they began to backtrack and lie. Assumed it could have been an isolated incident, but just spoke to a friend who said they did the exact same thing to them a few days ago. If you cant trust them to be honest, I cant trust them to do work on my vehicle.

I went to AAMCO on Dixie Highway yesterday and was warmly greeted by Eric and Steve. I explained my car issues to them and they immediately said Bring it in. They discovered that my issue was bigger than what we thought. They were nice enough to inform me that my problem was possibly a recall. I am still in the process of getting my car worked on but they even called and checked on me after I left! That says a lot about customer care. Their kindness and honesty let me in the right direction and it was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this location and I WILL use them again in the future.

We took our car to Aamco on Monday April 5th and we never heard anything back from them till Tuesday April 13. They told is we needed to replace the starter and that my boyfriend could come after hours to do it. The starter was replaced and did not receive an update until Friday April 16th. They told my boyfriend the car was next in line and it would be put in the garage. As of yesterday April 22 when I called about the car, I was told that we were put in the back of the line because other cars have come in for repairs. Our car is under warrenty and they do not want to fix it because they will not make any money for the work on the car, so they are stalling. We will never use Aamco again once our car is fixed.

This was the worst place for customer service. Every time i called the guy at the counter told me something different. After getting fed up i decided to go and get my vehicle. To my surprise, the car had not even been checked out. It was still in the same place where i parked it 2 weeks prior.

I recommend bringing your car here for service! Pricing is reasonable and theyre very informative about everything they are doing during time of service and it was nice to be updated a lot on estimated time it would be done. Erick was very friendly and the mechanics who worked on my car are much appreciated. I will be bringing my vehicle back here for any other things I need fixed!

My transmission went blehh and we had our vehicle towed in. Eric was always super nice, helpful and informative! He made sure to call about any issues, and even helpex with comtacting my warrenty care and getring that squared away with them. Amazing customer service on his part. Overall a great place and got my car done in a timely manner despite the ice storm and snow we got. Highly recommended these guys to do maintain your vehicle.

I go to AAMCO regularly to have my vehicles serviced and I’ve always had a good experience doing business with Eric and his team.The customer service is unmatched; I appreciate that I get a call anytime a decision about my vehicle is being made and that I’m involved in that process, that my options are elaborated to me before anything is done to my car, and that there’s always the option to make payments if a fix gets expensive. I recently put my Edge in the shop for a bad water pump, anticipating and pricey bill, and after the car was looked at I was called right away, given news that the majority of the work anticipated wasn’t needed, after updating me I was asked if they could move forward with the cheaper fix, meaning less time for my car in the shop (which for a one car family is HUGE) and I SO appreciate that they kept me aware of the process and progress made every step of the way.I appreciate the work these guys do and I’d highly recommend them!

Our experience with Aamco was great! Eric was professional, polite and very informative. We had to abruptly pull our work truck out of another shop and they took it in immediately to diagnosis it. We ended up needing to do a custom rebuild. They set appropriate expectations and got us back on the road after almost 5 months of waiting. I would recommend Eric and the Aamco on Dixie in Valley Station without hesitation!

These guys are great people. Eric and the guys took my car in evaluated and gave me all options they had to get my car back up to speed. Since it was a CVT transmission is was too much to put into an older car, but they explained all options and prices and gave me detailed reasons, which all were true, which is hard to say about every mechanic out there in this world! I called AAMCO on Dixie Hwy right off the gene Snyder about getting my vehicle checked out as my front right tire was rapidly going bald and pulling to the right, (even after replacing both front tires) . Erick told me over the phone to bring it on up and they will inspect the vehicle 100% FREE, diagnose the problem and let me know what they can do to help get it fixed! Which every auto shop would tell anyone that, but AAMCO was Genuine !!!! When I got to the shop, They put my car up on the rack, checked every aspect of the front end alignment, less than 15 mins goes by and the GM told me they found the issue ! The front strut was bent! Erick then explained to me everything as well as his mechanic Steve ! They both we’re VERY informative, also understanding with financial issues!I highly recommend stopping by for any of your car care needs! They have kept me involved with everything since I walked into the building ! I couldn’t ask for better service ! Thanks Erick, Steve, & AAMCO !

My experience was great. Quick repair, no problems. Financing was a breeze. The work is the best I have ever had. Gears shift smoothly and NO slack between engine and rear-end. You have a customer for life. If you need assistance, contact Erik or Steve and you will not be disappointed.

The service and Eric was great, they done a great job, got the transmission in took out of town to work did great. Had to get a small front wheel alignment, steering wheel was off a little nothing major but so far fantastic job AMCO. I would recommend them totally here in Louisville Kentucky.

Amazing! I went to another shop (Brakeway on dixie) and was told my Headgasket needed to be replaced, saying how it would cost 1000s of dollars. I called Erica at AAMCO, he was VERY helpful. Turns out it wasnt the headgasket, it was the thermostat (saved alot of money) Eric got me together by the end of the day. I would highly recommend to other single women, like myself who know nothing about cars. Eric will explain whats going on, very honest & dependable. Will recommend to all of my friends if they ever have car issues.

Had a company car that would not start. Assumed the battery or the starter was going bad. Took it to AAMCO and asked they check it out and let us know their findings. Came back a few hours later and they showed me all the test they ran and their finding were it was just a dirty battery cable. They cleaned the cable and the car starting working fine. I went in to pay the bill, and he told us this was an easy fix and there would be no charge. WHO does this now!! What great service. We pulled our cash together to offer a tip for this great service and had to force him to take it. I will take all my business there, NOT because of the free service I received, but because I feel this is a business that i can trust!! Well done AAMCO!

I cant trust them. In all honesty, I believe they actually did decent work. But after they finished up and I went to pay, they said if I left them a 5-star review, they would give me a free oil change the next time I came in, so none of the glowing reviews are meaningful in any way. To me, this is a major ethical concern, since they are/ have been essentially buying good reviews to bring in new business on a if not necessarily false, but misleading, basis.The sad part for me is that I would have left them a good review anyway, if they hadnt attempted to bribe me for one.Edit: The owner reached out to me, and has assured me that ANY review makes a person eligible for a free oil change, which was not communicated properly by the employee at the desk when I visited. Ive given them a few stars back for what seems to be a genuine concern to right previous errors. Ive also been told the staff will be made aware of this so as not to spread further confusion on this point.

Extremely trustworty. Started going in 2011 when we needed a second opinion on the transmission which another place said it needed work. AAMCO checked it and found the computer just needed to be reset. They reset it at no cost. I highly recommend AAMCO. Its the only place we will take our vehicle.

GREAT FAST RELIABLE SERVICEI came in last minute before heading out on a trip. Needed an oil change. Im so thankful they took the time to check the rest of my car out. I had to take my car here yesterday because I heard a rattling sound when I turned my car on. I thought my transmission was messed up but it turned out I just had a peice of plastic stuck.i also told them my check engine light was on so Steve the tech did a scan (for free) and it turns out I had some sensor issues. They were so nice and fast.

It’s conveniently located in the heart of Valley Station. I have dropped off my car at night and was ready to roll out by 4pm or 5pm the next day. Very knowledgeable staff that is upfront & honest.

I called to make an appointment and they couldn’t get me in for a week. When my car was dropped off I let them know where I had left off in replacing my distributor and let them know that the timing needed to be fixed and my brakes needed to be bled. In the end I got a $600 tune up.First, the only times they contacted me to update me on my car was when they were returning my call. On top of that, my car was there for 5 days before they even took a look at it. I would have taken my car somewhere else. After an additional 2 more days I go to pick it up and the mechanic, a desk guy, and the manager Eric all tell me in person that everything is done and even though they didn’t do the brakes that my brakes are working. Only for me to get into my car and it not start nor have grab on my brakes at all. The man in the office proceeded to try to convince me that some of the work I had done on my car myself wasn’t needed. (I’m pretty sure a distributor shouldn’t have lose grinding metal in it)I did go back the next day and after they fixed their issues I finally have a car that is drivable again. Only after arguing with the man and it drives more rough then it ever did before and also dies if I’m at a stop. This is an issue I never had even before the distributor went out.I also was informed that if you are a returning client your car will be fixed sooner than later. These were the words strait out of the managers mouth as he proceeded to mistake me for someone he knows. It’s nice to know that my car was up there for a total of 8 days just because I’m not friends with the guy. By the way, I do a lot of traveling for work so now I’m missing out on that pay.

I went to Eric at AAMCO with a starter issue. I had put 2 starters on my car within a 2 month period. Eric told me to bring in my car and they would diagnose the problem for me. After less than an hour, he called me back and said that it looked like a wiring issue that was draining all of my starters. They found the problem wasnt with my starter(s) but that ALL of the wiring was backwards. They fixed my car!!! And on top of that, he was VERY personable and kept me involved every step of the way. I would recommend them to ANYONE!

Charles and the rest of the AAMCO staff did an outstanding job fixing my transmission! I called several shops, they saved me over $1000 and completed the work in only a couple days. I recommend anyone having car problems give them a call. Charles did a great job educating me on what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix it, plus gave me a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. I was going to work, 5:30am Saturday morning. I was making a turn and my transmission totally locked up on me. I had my insurance company tow it to another shop. I called AAMCO 11696 Dixie Highway and first off they were quick to ease my mind and make me feel comfortable. They towed my car to their shop, gave me a very fare observation and Im telling you that I could not believe how much better, more power, my 2007 Impala drove. My car needed an engine that should have been covered by warranty. They said they would tow vehicle, but they damaged rear trunk panel because they did not send a long flat bed like I had asked because there is a big dip when leaving my backyard. They did not honor the warranty and said that I would have to pay out of pocket which was over $3000. I was already covered under a warranty and I was not going to pay all of that money when it should be free. The kicker was they still billed me $500 because my car was on their lot. So they damaged my vehicle didnt honor my warranty, charged me to have work done covered under warranty and still charged me a $500 lot fee. THANKS AAMCO!!!!! Spoke to management Denial! Denial! Denial! Once again THANKS AAMCO!!!!!! I usually dont go online to express or explain business related matters but if your practices of your company are questionable or duplicitous then you might get a reaction from consumers every time.

I took my car up to them and ask them to give it a once over before I bought it. I asked them to look at it as if they were going to let their own daughter purchase the car. After they gave it the thumbs up we found a small leak and took it back and they immediately figured out what it was fixed it and made everything perfect! I would recommend everyone taking their vehicle to them for whatever they need. They provided the most courteous and quickest service I have ever experienced. They also explained everything to me and didnt treat me like some mechanics do with women. I have now found my new mechanics and friends for life :)

Best experience Ive had getting an oil change. I stopped in without an appointment but was able to get in and out within an hour. Charles is very helpful and professional. He clearly makes customer satisfaction a priority. He took the time to ensure I received the Groupon deal they were running. I usually dread getting my car serviced, but this business made it a breeze. I purchased a Groupon for a standard oil change. The attendant at the front desk was incredibly friendly and answered any questions I had about my voucher. The owner came over to the waiting area to discuss my need for a new air filter. He said, We dont do business by pressuring people into buying things. We educate them on what they need in order for their cars to last as long as possible. It was obvious that I needed a new air filter, and he instructed the staff to add that service once I agreed. He even printed a list of other services that he recommended in order to keep my car running in top notch condition. As a female with hardly any knowledge about cars, I felt respected and did not feel like I was being taken advantage of ( which has been attempted at other car shops).My entire wait time totaled one hour, which I thought was excellent considering that the phones were busy and I counted four walk-in customers. I will definitely be back!

Spent more $3500 on 4 new tires with front and rear alignment and exhaust from engine to tailpipe. 3 months later the same tire I originally brought it over has rubbed bald and the exhaust is louder than ever. $3500 this summer now I am on my own. Terrible.

I did not have a pleasant experience taking my 2013 Chevrolet Equinox there. I made an appointment because my windows kept fogging up with the defrost on. On the phone, I told them I thought it was a problem with the heater core. Took the car in and was called later in the day that they could not find anything wrong and the defrost is working fine. I told them they NEEDED to drive the car and they would see the problem. Called later in the day, which seemed to annoy them, and was still told there was not a problem. I picked the car up after work and, within five minutes of leaving, the windows fogged up. Called them and brought the car back to show them and told them again I thought it was the heater core. The mechanic that worked on the car came out and looked at it. We explained the problem to him and asked him if he took drove the car to see if it did not work. He said he didnt, which meant they did not do what I asked them. Since it was a Friday, I left the car there and said it would looked at first thing Monday. On Monday, got a call in the afternoon and was told the heater core was bad and needed to be replaced, which I told them all along was the problem. I told them to replace it and it took almost another day and half for it to be done. When I complained about the delay, they told me that they had to put my car back in the queue because I technically took the car and brought it back. Essentially I was told I was at fault for taking my car after they failed to properly diagnose the problem even though I told them what they needed to do to diagnose it. After all of that, the management there did not offer any extra discount for the trouble they put me though. If you take you car here, definitely be sure to follow up and question everything they do. I will not bring my car back, except if the heater core breaks down while it is covered by warranty.

Ive had a wonderful experience here. Erick Cheatham did a wonderful job at explaining to me the process they were going to do on my car to fix my air conditioning and servicing my transmission. I will definitely keep coming back!

Would not recommend to any one, please find a different shop. They will rip you off and charge you double/triple the cost of the actual repair. Took car in for engine running rough, spark plugs and coils needed to be replaced. Charged over $800 to replace 6 spark plugs and 2 coils. Still having issues with car. Wanted another $800 to replace all coils. I ended up buying all the spark plugs and coils for less than $200 at auto zone down the road and replacing them my self.

I dropped off my 2010 Chevy Impala for a diagnostic for a shutter in transmission after acceleration after it was misdiagnosed by Bob Montgomery (twice). After a test-drive and thorough diagnostic, AAMCO concluded that my transmission fluid was varnished because my torque converter was going out, which was releasing metal into the fluid. Because my car was covered under power-train warranty, I was able to get my transmission replaced by a GM dealer in Pensacola, FL (on vacation) about one month later. The dealerships diagnosis was identical to that of AAMCO. Although I didnt pay for any repairs, I was satisfied with the excellent customer service and diagnosis explanation from AAMCO!

Awesome! They made me feel comfortable leaving my car with them. I needed a lot done and they took the time to break it down in steps while keeping me in the loop. I will forever take my car to them.
