The Hemingway is a great place to live. I have lived here since July and this is the best experience I have had with an apartment community. The Property Manager Kayla is fantastic she is Johnny on the spot with resolving any issues. I am loving all of the upgrades it makes the property very fancy!! The other staff members are very friendly and helpful and always speak. I would recommend The Hemingway to everyone. I love the new name! πŸ˜ƒ

Lots of great changes! I have lived here for a few months and love the new staff in the office. They came just a few months ago and you can honestly tell that the manager Kayla cares about getting things done for her residents. They have already made so many great changes to our complex and look forward to see what else they do! Not to mention the apartments are fairly priced for the Bardstown Road area and are huge! Would recommend to anyone especially families.

Would not recommend!!!!! Had a number of issues my first year but swept it under the rug and never complained. When I finally spoke up to the office staff about my boyfriends car being towed even though he parked in the spot that the staff highlighted and posted on our doors because they where paving certain spots of the lot is when I got fed up. I was directly lied to by one the staff after another staff got rude with me over the phone. She claimed she put the wrong instructions on the doors but went back and put new instructions. Which is was a huge lie!! None of my neighbors got the 2nd notice. I had to google a corporate number after being refused contact for anyone over their heads, and still only received a credit for half of my money. The craziest part is one of the ladies told me that dozens of residents had been in about there car being towed after not getting the corrected paper she claim she posted. Fast forward I am currently deployed for the rest of the year and had to leave my apartment a few weeks shy of my lease being up. When I informed Amanda(The rude liar) of my deployment the first thing she said is I would still have to pay till the end of my lease. Which I new by law wasn’t true but I agreed anyways since it was such short notice. The only thing I wanted was to turn my keys in early. I emailed and left two voicemails and never heard anything back. I moved out the day before I left and just left my keys in the apartment. The next week I called again no answer. And also noticed my online account was deactivated when I tried to pay my rent. I have no clue about my deposit and The only thing I hope is I don’t get hit with any fees out of nowhere.The apartment is not worth the prices it has risen to. The gate didn’t work majority of the time I was there and when it did it literally keeps no one out. Security is hardly ever there, and they harassed my bf when he was in his car one night by beating on his window raising his voice and accused him of loitering/sleeping in his car. All because he didn’t pull off immediately. He had just left my apartment 5mins prior. And he hadn’t pulled off yet because he was texting smh. Emergency maintenance does not answer. My bathroom flooded one night Really bad leaving feces water in the bathroom and hallway. And it continued to flood the entire night starting around 10p-12p I called maintenance and they didn’t show up until after 10am the next morning. I literally could go on and on with more issues I had but I would be here all night smh.

You guys are unbelievable. first of all you stealing people money for no reason and second that Amanda you are extremely rude. how can you tell me you are charging me a water bill due two month after my lease is over? you are saying you took money from my deposit to pay the water bill due in may 2020 while my lease end the 31st of march (two months later???). I swear to God this will end definitely to court. and you are very rude by saying you are done talking to a customer when i was just asking for explaination.

We rented an apartment form this company for one year, there are several issues we faced. The issue of fixing old building is like pulling teeth to get any thing done, because there is only one guy to fix all the issues, it took him more than a month to fix an old failing oven, which was always on, even when you turn it off. 2nd issue was a failing AC unit, it soaked the apartment with water, they cosmetically fixed it to fail at the beginning of the summer. June 2018 came back from a trip to find the AC failed again, Temp was 90, and the apartment was infested with bedbugs.They ignore the issue again, and put some freon in a leaking unit to fail again in a week, also manger assured me to pay half of the treatment charges, as if I am responsible for that!, then they turned around and forfeit all my security deposit. They will find any reason to forfeit your deposit.At the end if our stay my car was vandalized, thus security is of concern.Another important issue is that this place is built in a flood zone.Rent is high! I dont recommend this place at all.As you see from their response, I have contacted them, but no answer.

When I first moved here 2 yrs ago, I only had minor issues. They say they spray every month but they don’t. Roaches have come from one of the neighbors that moved in not to long ago and I told Amanda (the manager) about it and she said they was gonna spray but nothing has been done and it’s been months. Too many roaches!! Amanda can also can be very rude. Can’t wait to move!!

I have NEVER had an issue with the office staff. I cant remember one time that I have gone to speak to Amanda and felt like she wasnt fully dedicated to my concern. She and her staff has always treated me with the upmost respect and even stop to ask how my daughter and husband are doing. As well, I have never had one issue with neighbors. The apartments are very nice.

Dont move here they will tow your car even though the paperwork the gave you told you to park somewhere. I will be suing! See you in court/ to answer your response King George Apartments, i tried to talk to Amanda and show her the paperwork validating my claim. She walked off in scuff and told me I dont care, sue me. So i did.***UpDate**** i won my law suit, this all could have been avoided by being nice and having compassion for your fellow humans.

Personally I love these apartments! The community is nice, kids are always out playing when its a pretty day. I havent seen the pool open yet as we moved in last fall but Im excited for it! The apartment has some issues but every home does. The mainentenance is good and came out to fix some issues I had. Its a beautiful space and it gets a ton of sunlight (bad for me as it heats the place up as well). Ive lived here nearly a year and expect to renew my lease come fall!

Ive only lived there about 3 months and I am already looking for a new place. The pool is absolutely filthy and I never got to use it. My ready apartment required a maintenance man to come out for 3 hours to fix everything that was supposed to be ready. The tile in my kitchen is cracked and is only getting worse since the floor is buckling. My neighbor had to inform me that my building flooded with three inches of water last April, even though I mentioned the unevenness of the floor to the landlord and he just stated it was because the building was old. I have a few windows that will no longer close like they did when I first moved in because the building has sunk/shifted so much in 1.5 months. There is dog poop all over the sidewalks with neither the owner of the dogs or maintenance dealing with it. My bathroom ceilings are sagging and I am just waiting on them to fall in. My electric stove has had the burners catch on fire twice. My electrical outlets are going out one by one and when a maintenance man came to fix them, he left lights on in my apartment for an entire weekend while I was gone - and never fixed the outlets! The gate never closes, and when it does its completely arbitrary (i.e. you never know when it will be closed or open). So much for a gated community! The square footage for the price may be reasonable but do yourself a favor and spend a little extra to actually get a quality place to live.

Living here has been an absolute NIGHTMARE! My family and I have been here maybe 4 months and the amount of issues that we have had are ridiculous. Between the kitchen sink flooding over with the upstairs neighbors disgusting drain water (that took them 2 days to finally come look at) not maintenance fault, the upstairs neighbors throwing their trash (piles of food, globs of hair, combs, water bottles, etc) onto our patio which has been resolved after I finally bagged all their trash and gave it back to them with a very angry note, the neighbors CONSTANTLY making tons of noise from the hours of 10pm-5am EVERY DAMN NIGHT, waking up our children...which the office staff STILL has yet to resolve (they keep saying theyve talked to the neighbors, but obviously that isnt the case) the police have been called too and they never showed. Also, the living room and kitchen ceilings have started pouring out water whenever it rains...which is almost weekly, and then the ant/cockroach issue which they have been informed of 3 weeks ago and no pest service has been sent out. We have used many different store bought products, but theyre still alive. I could go on and on. I used to think the office managers were on our side and were there to help us out whenever, but Im starting to feel very angry and my patience is gone at this point.The ONLY reason why they get 2 stars is because the apartments are very spacious.

Very rude customer service People . Let me just say this the β€œ property manager β€œ AMANDA ... is so rude . I wanted to look at the property for a 2 bedroom and she didn’t want to get up at all . Treated me so bad . I don’t know what was going on with her . I felt like if she didn’t want me around the property. All I wanted to do was look at the property to see if my family likes it to put an application in . She doesn’t need to be the property manager. At all . Poor service. The young lady Beverly was such a sweetheart. She did all she could to help us . But Amanda on the other hand took her anger out of us three .

They ask for no bankruptcies (3 yrs) so I thought about not applying but front desk assured me it was case by case and I would still get accepted since I was grossing more than 3x rent. Got denied and they def did a hard pull. Wishing I hadnt listened and jus waited. Wasnt really interested in another place just applied on a whim because the special sounded good.

To continue what fuffyd was saying, Amanda Slaymaker maintains a close relationship with police and firefighters in the area so that she can count on them to keep an extra eye out on the complex when its needed. Her efforts actually help keep crime in the area a bit lower. But thats not all folks! She throws pool parties, Halloween parties, and random social meet and greets for the residents all while being a single mom. Shes truly a force to be reckoned with.If you are someone who works hard, pays what youre supposed to when youre supposed to do it and wants to take care of the place where you live, Amanda Slaymaker is hands down one the the best apartment managers you can ask for. If youre a company that wants to manage a complex, she is someone who deeply appreciates being treated fairly and will return the reasonableness, understanding, and kindness of an owner with hard work, a deep knowledge of her profession, and fathomless dedication.I, personally, am honored to have gotten the opportunity to be one of her residents and am deeply grateful for her efforts at making this complex a pleasure to live in. Id give her 6 stars if I could.

Never had any issue with any of the office or maintenance staff. They have always been very friendly and courteous. With some of them going beyond what is their job responsibility to assist me. When I had problems with my heating/ac unit it was repaired quickly by maintenance. My apartment is very spacious with good sized bedrooms and closets. The only reason it gets four stars from me is because parking close to my building can be an issue sometimes. And depending on your sensitivity to noise and your apartment location, the hum of the traffic on Watterson Expressway can be bothersome.

Ex S/O recently moved in and i was looking for an apt on the property as well... (the woman in the office basically told me shell be watching me since me and ex S/O wont be living together but we are good, good friends so i hang out over there a lot) weird. anyway... changed my mind about moving there within the first few days... apt was supposed to be move in ready but had to call maintenance man to fix up a few things... toilet paper roll holder was on the floor upon moving date as well... premier (790) looks NOTHING like the furnished display they show you. walls look like someone has been diving straight into them... water takes forever to get hot... outlets barely work. this gate they have, YEAH NEVER CLOSES... but you pay for a gated community... i can go on and on... ill gladly stay a visitor. looking elsewhere :(

The service is terrible I have 4 days without air conditioning and the ambient temperature is 96 degrees and the worst is that you call one to let them know and the only thing they answer is that someone is already arriving at your apartment and the person never arrives office and Amanda does not get up from the chair because she is talking to someone else unrelated to customer service and the other person in the office keeps saying the same answer that someone is coming to the department when everyone knows that is stupid because it is already after 5 oclock in the afternoon most people finish their day at that time and Amanda does not have time to get up and explain something but to turn the chair and without getting up with her stupid attitude imply that the fault that I do not have cold air is because I do not know the difference between cold and hot why supposedly the ona that entered the apartment while I was not saying it was hot which makes me think that I need a course to know how to manipulate a thermostat and set the right temperature and this does not happen again and that I have to wait until night for the conditioned air to react because for the maintenance person the air conditioning is in optimal conditions to continue operating even if I have 4 days without the service that stupid right?

I used to live here. I moved out. Bad experience, pool was never open the neighborhood was filthy, you never knew when the gate wouldn’t be open or closed and sometimes my card would never work, I called a lady named Amanda and asked about a card replacement or if someone could fix it and she was very rude. Maintinence was very rude as well. I had called because all but two of the electrical outlets in the apartment weren’t working, and they had come at a time when I was sleeping and barged into my bedroom while I was asleep and woke me up by shaking me and yelling at me. I had left about two years ago I do not know if things have changed since then but I highly doubt it. Called maintinence to fix a hole that was in my ceiling just above the fridge, they came in and put drywall paste on it but it came off and the hole kept growing in side and they never came back to fix it. Power in the entire neighborhood would go out even in the lightest thunderstorms. The dishwasher in the apartment did not work very well and maintinence never came to fix it. Floor in kitchen was warped and I was careful to not put a lot of weight in certain spots, I was told that it was because of a flood and the landlords had never fixed the foundation. I do not recommend moving here or telling someone to move here. The apartment itself isn’t big but you’re paying for a β€œgated community” that isn’t not worth the price at all.

Ill be so glad to finally move out of here soon. I called 3 days ago to have my sink looked at because it leaks all over the cabinet below. The property looks like garbage. The other tenants just throw their garbage on the ground. The pool is never open. My bathroom sink is rusted and disgusting looking. Ive given the management an opportunity to fix the problem before posting a negative review, but as I prepare to wash my dishes in the bathtub I say theyve had enough time. Dont move here!!!

Alltrade bought them out and the services became crap. They dont communicate and they half - ass do things. The space in the apartments are nice but not worth the price youre paying. The pool was never open, the fitness center was never available. The gate is broken and hasnt been fixed since before December. The laundry facility isnt that great either. Youre best off going to the laundry mat off bardstown rd. Dont move here. They are nothing but scams and scam artists. They are rude and snoby...

I,m very impressed by the hard work from the office staff, maintenance and everyone involved.First of all ive been coming here to King Greorge /formerly Bent Creek for several years, staying with my boyfriend weekly and my experience has been very very positive and warming.. With any large apartment community you,re going to have times where you,ll have another person in front of u for minor maintenance issues, but its never made us feel any less important and it always gets fixed..The apartment complex was recently newly managed by Alltrade property Mangement and under new ownership.We,ve immediately noticed the new managements commitement to making this an even better community.. Parking lot has been repaved, playground has new mulch, new toilets,unsafe balconies removed,hallway housekeeping,new doors or windows on select units. Our unit is not updated with the newest updates yet since our aprtment is still full of stuff(lol) but i,ve been in the updated units and they are Extremely beautiful and elegant with hardwood plank flooring, new vinyl, new carpet, fresh paint etc..............I would happily recommend it to anyone wanting an upscale gated /private community...

Theres not enough time in the day for me to explain why this is one of the most DEPLORABLE places to live. Rude office staff, horrible parking at night, the pool was open a total of 4 hours this summer, gym was closed 3/4 of the year, its absolutely FILTHY here (cobwebs hanging a foot from the ceiling, nasty stained carpet, dirty walls, paint chipping everywhere) Ive personally had to call over 15 times for maintenance requests and theyve never fixed anything correctly the first time around. They paved the roads by litreally spraying black on top of it...they simply repainted rather than actually fix the pot holes that are EVERYWHERE. Office staff was rude from the get go, I thought that once we moved in it would get better but Ive never had such terrible customer service as this place. Spare yourself the wasted time & money and go somewhere else...ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Almost forgot to mention that in the 11 months that Ive lived here theyve had to come spray for ROACHES almost 10 times!!!! They might have changed the name & ownership but thats about it. Worst year ever.

They have rats in the walls in building 2101 Bent creek Dr. I lived in apartment 7 and we caught at least 7 before we moved out a week after seeing the 1st one!
