I despise my interactions with Latam airlines. Latam airlines is more of a scam / hustle than a business. They refused to take our reservations online on their own website for days, citing technical issues. Each day the price went up. When I finally succeeded in making a reservation I couldn’t pay. Not with my credit card and not with PayPal. My partner experienced the same. Each reservation was subsequently cancelled and replaced with a new one at a higher price. Not until 12 hours before our flight did they finally accept our credit card. The final price was hundreds of US $ more than any of our previous attempts to pay.I hate Latam airlines for being scammy, unethical, dishonest cheaters.

There was no social distancing. The plane was full with passengers in from of you and behind you and on the side of you. The staff were not helpful either. Do not recommend this airline.

We booked 5 flights with them, then the countries shut down bc of the pandemic, we are now trying to rebook since refunds werent offered and its 1/3 (about 2.4k) of our travel budget. We have spent 8 hours on the phone, where, when we make some progress and they either hang up or it gets cutoff and we have to call back to start all over. Now they are telling us they will call us back in 48 hours and have to make sure we pickup or have to restart again, but will not give a specific time. Needless to say it doesnt seem like they want us visiting or using these tickets. Well earned 1 star..

The staff is not so friendly. Food is quite good but nothing extraordinary. I really didn’t have a good experience from the flight Lima-Los Angeles, there is an available seat, I asked to the crew staff and she told me that I can’t switch to that seat but after dinner a guy moved to that’s seat and the crew didn’t said anything.... LIER AIRLINE.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! NO COMPREHENSIVE CAPABILITIES! I WENT FOR A PRICE OF A TICKET FROM PUNTA CANA D.R. TO MIAMI FL. IT TOOK 30 MIMS AFTER IM AT THE COUNTER FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND ALL I WANTED WAS A TICKET PRICE & BAGGAGE INFORMATION. TOLD A MANAGER MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND SHE JUST LOOKED AS IF SHE DIDNT COMPREHEND EITHER. I JUST SHOOK MY HEAD! NEVER WILL I FLY WITH THEM!

LAX to Santiago Chile. We knew we had to be there 2 hours early. Nowhere did they state 3 hours early. Due to bad traffic, we made it to the airport at 2:00 PM and our flight was at 3:45PM. They check our luggage in and said we had time to board. We ended missing our flight due to handicap line at TSA was so long. At 3:15 they closed the door and we were there at 3:20 They told us they can not open the door. Attitude was bad by Supervisor. Knowing that we were very disturbed they did nothing to help us. Customer service is horrible. They dont care if you lose your money.

I flew to Cusco with s stop in Lima and found the plane new, service better than US and an overall good experience. On the way back i checked my bags and they arrived in Los Angeles with my flight. I highly recommend this airline and on the return we upgraded to first class for $300 and that was thoroughly enjoyable.In both classes of travel I though the food was good. I would definitely fly LATAM again.

Food and service superb in Business Class. (Mexico City > Lima > Los Angeles); and I found a good price.Their technology for handling online check-in and obtaining a boarding pass, terrible. Cant do either online and via phone an agent can complete check-in, but still cannot send you a boarding pass electronically.Time to reach an agent on the phone is long and tedious. Also, I was amazed they did not provide access to a lounge at the airport in Lima. They did however provide a $20 USD coupon for use at 2 restaurants and one bar along the gate concourse.

I posted the same review on tripadvisor and yelp, i purchased a ticket on latams official website, for some reason included a luggage to my destination but i had to pay extra for the same luggage coming back, so i paid the additional fee, first notice; the second leg of my flight was delayed for 4 hours, already missing 4 hours on my 5 day trip, second notice: the first leg of my flight was delayed 8 hours, missing my connection flight, i will have to spend 24 hrs in Lima to take the next flight, latam exchanged my flight at no additional cost to me, wow, can you imagine? terrible customer service over the phone, i hope that i get to come back to lax as my ticket says, I WILL NEVER PAY TO FLIGHT THIS AIRLINE EVER AGAIN!!!!

Love this airline. First off their customer service is excellent. I had to cancel a flight due to my mom being sick. They went out of their way to transfer my ticket to my aunt. Secondly, they dont charge an extra fee for surfboards. I have used LAN to go surfing in Peru for the last 6 years. While I have had a few delays, most trips have been an outstanding experience. Highly recommended if you are flying to S. America

Booked a flight for Saturday June 15th were not able to board because my son’s passport expires within less than 6 months. We rebooked our flight for June 17th at 9:40pm (this would give us time to get up at the crack of dawn and head over to the US Passport Agency to attain same day passport) which we did. We spent all day in LA so that we wouldn’t have to drive two hours back home and then back to the airport. Mind you with two school aged children. We arrived to the airport and tried to check in but they told us we were on “stand-by” for the 9:40pm flight. We had called LATAM earlier in the day to make sure we had actual seats and they confirmed... this wasn’t the case and we were not able to get on the plane, again. The agent that originally rebooked our flight said she had space on this flight... we made sure it wasn’t a stand-by flight. We needed to get on this flight to make the most of our now 6 day trip... we had another flight on Wednesday the June 19th to Cusco from Lima that will not be made... making this summer break just a nightmare due to the inefficiency of the LATAM agents at LAX. And they could really care less... they want to sell their business seats when they can give us those seats complimentary for their huge mistake. First and last time we (attempt to) fly LATAM.

Worst customer service ever!!!! I will NEVER fly on this airline again. Save yourself the time, frustration, and headache. No amount of money or time you may save in securing a direct flight is worth choosing LATAM Airlines with their dismal customer service.

Delay. Poor and rude customer services. The worst. Our 1.5 hour flight from galapagos islands to quito was delayed for 12 hours. It was a 1.5 hour flight from Galapagos to Quito. We were swept off the plane after 10 hours of delay after we arrived at the middle point Guayaquil because they dont have enough for the plane to go onwards. We were made to wait 2 more additional hour at Guayaquil for connecting flights when what we paid for is a DIRECT flight ticket full fare for foreigners. We were not even treated in a courteous way when this happened.

I do not know how to describe what I feel with this airline, really the service is terrible, the most fun is that they are super strict in their processes ... for example, my suitcase weighed 51 kilos and in the 3 airlines prior to this one they passed me laughing .. and in LATAM .... wow, you have to release the kilo of envelope. God, hahaha.

Be careful with your bags !! I traveled from California to Chile and they lost all my bags. I was fighting for 2 days in a row to finally get them back when they were delivered to me, they came almost empty, they stole almost everything and the worst thing is that nobody responds. There is no type of solution and compensation one pays for a service onWhich is getting worse!
