This is a difficult review. We flew BA for the first time to London from San Jose last month. We booked ahead of time and paid to upgrade from coach as well as choosing our seats. The trip to London was great, the service and hospitality was wonderful. We took our luggage carry on so nothing to note there. We were very disappointed on the return trip as we received notification that our flight was canceled. Just boom, canceled two days prior to our return. The rebooking wasn’t easy and of course we did not get what we paid for. It is so maddening that they can treat you like that.

Best airline Ive ever flown. Flew LAX-LHR on an A380. Extremely quiet, flight attendants and gate agents were helpful. Boarding was fast and simple. Flight departed and arrived on time. Definitely a good experience.

LAX is bustling with new structures and developments and they are making a great attempt to keep the crowds comfortable

Always the same with this airline. You book with them, the flight is operated by AA. No way to check in online!!! If you go to the BA site it redirects you to the AA site to check-in, since it is an AA flight. On this site the booking confirmation is refused since it was booked with BA!! Result: 11 hour flight with family in seperate seats where you dont want to sit. No way to swap seats since all seats are ofcourse already taken by the time you arrive in the airport...

I travelled from LAX to DUB with BA several weeks ago. I paid extra $1000 for premium economy. Unfortunately my experience was horrible:** I received my luggage at DUB Airport heavily damaged and half the content missing. It looked like someone targeted my luggage as they ripped the section with TSA lock. Missing content and cost of the damaged luggage is around $900. I reported the issue to BA luggage desk at DUB Airport right away. They suggested that missing content could still be in luggage handling area behind carousels. But they were not able to locate them. They recorded a claim and asked me to submit another form via BA web site which I did right away.Month later someone from BA customer service (from India) asked to work with my travel insurance which I didn’t have. Then she asked me to submit a claim with TSA. Obviously TSA told me it’s not their responsibility to compensate the loss/damage unless I have proof that they damaged my luggage. They also suggested that TSA has the key to unlock TSA approved locks. So they wouldn’t rip the bag if they need to open it.I spent over 6 hours trying to talk to BA customer relations without success. Apparently they are available to sell me another ticket 24x7. However there are only few customer relationships people available between 1pm and 5pm UK time. Unfortunately you cannot call them directly. All calls are answered by India call center. They put you on hold for hours and disconnect.I will try to explore my legal options. But I wanted to share my experience to warn people planning to fly with British Airways.
