Payne was recommended by my home warranty to replace my water heater. The water heater is working fine but they were very slow in responding and took three weeks to finally complete the job. They also charged me extra labor for the install of the water heater which was of course not covered by my warranty?? I should have just got the money from my warranty and did the job myself. I would not recommend them.

The guys were very polite and got the job done quickly. The only thing was they didn’t have anything to place on the floor to cover my floors during their work or have their own cleaning supplies. They used a large amount of my toilet paper to clean up.

Put a claim in with Home Warranty company for non-functioning hot water heater.. was assigned Payne Mechanical for repairs.. after initial conversation with Payne to discuss work claim, NEVER heard back from them, even after leaving a follow-up message with their answering service.. will NEVER use this company for any future plumbing needs!

Payne was being used by our home warranty company, Fidelity. We had trouble getting them out to our place on Thursday, the person who handled their calls said the manager would be out by 12 and 2. He finally came by 4-5. Quickly diagnosed the problem of failed heating elements. He said he did not have the parts available so we called lowes to find out they had them(Lowes is 1 mile down the road). He said he could not go down the road to get them and replace them that evening, even though lowes had them on hold for us. I have a family of 6, and we had been outside and needed hot showers, and hadnt had hot water for a few days, and apparently one more... I wish I could say the next day went smoother, but it did not. We called multiple times that morning and they assured us they were on their way, and in the last call around mid afternoon they said they were waiting for approval from Fidelity. The manager Bobby finally came by late in the afternoon, without the parts, so he had to drive back to Lowes to get them. He also wanted me to drain my water heater and turn it all off which Ive never done and was not comfortable with, and he was disappointed it was going to take longer than he wanted. An hour later is was done in a snap... a snap that seemed like he could have been done 24hrs earlier... they sent me a text to review them; and here is my review. Bobby was kind through the whole process, and assured us it would have been smoother if we had gone straight through them, instead of Fidelity.

We have used Payne Mechanical for several years now. They are always very prompt and very courteous. They worked diligently to fix a problem without unit that required warranty questions. They got it handled for us. We have several neighbors who use them as well. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The one single time we had an issue with an employee (not an on-site tech, but an office employee), the main boss called us very quickly and the matter was handled and resolved. This is a good company!

My company signed a contract with Payne this year and it has been the best thing ever! The employees are always informative and accommodating and they respond right away. Josh is usually the gentleman who responds to our refrigeration calls and he never leaves until we are all fixed up. :)

Payne plumbing came to my home and told me what the problem was with my bath and shower. They charged our home warranty and never returned to do the work. I had to fix the problems myself and never heard back from the company. The plumber who came to my house recommended we try to scam the home warranty company by telling them the shower was nicer than it was to get a better replacement. I said no but he still turned that in to the warranty company. I will not use this company again and recommend others avoid them and use a more reputable company.

Work order was assigned thru home owner’s warranty company. Communication between home office & Longview office to me has a great need for improvement. Work was finally done after over a weeks’ time & tech plumbers were nice but I had to initiate calls several times to get it done... all works now except for hot & cold lines are reversed in master bathroom.

This is the second time Ive called Mr Kelley over my AC. First time he came and hooked everything up, replaced alot, etc. broke things down so I understood what was happening . super friendly and just all around amazing .my second time with the payne company my fan stopped spinning and Lord knows its too hot outside not to have AC and 3 small children . I was again contacted Mr Kelley and within 24 hrs he had a wonderful man come out (while I was in town dealing with dentist and groceries). this man was still at my house when I got here. their was more of an issue then we expected but he was nice enough to break it down and tell me what I was looking at (my options) I called Mr Kelley and told him the position I was in as far as money --- needless to say this company WILL help you! I didnt see workers. I seen family. I had 3 men out here trying to fix parts and replace them.
