Grit Fitness has been a life changing experience for me. When I first sat down with the owner Sam I was inspired by his knowledge and compassion. He was confidant his program would give me the results I was looking for and offered a challenge that includes the accountability so many of us need. Joey is a skilled trainer with the perfect personality to push you without making you feel bad. You want to do well and make him proud. He is exceptional at seeing where he needs to adjust for the individual based on their level and physical ability. The personal attention you receive here is unlike any gym I have ever been a member of. Mary Beth is always available with words of encouragement and answers to questions. She is kind and friendly. One of the best parts of being here is the support from the other members. This is a family atmosphere where everyone celebrates your victories and encourages you on your off days. I have achieved goals in 6 weeks that go beyond losing weight and gaining strength (which I have done to an amazing degree), I have made gains in my blood lab results, medication levels, and even my balance. Most of all Grit has helped me find hope again, meet people and feel like I am a part of something special.
I think this place it fantastic! I joined the 6 week challenge as a way to get myself back into the work out game. Its been a fun journey and I have continued on with them. Joey, Sam & Mary Beth are dedicated and super helpful. The classes are fun and the work outs are challenging but you never feel like you shouldnt be there! Check them out - you wont be disappointed!
Grit has been so awesome and supportive. I started with there 6 week challenge and have been going ever since. The classes are great and they work with you no matter if you work out all the time or if you havent worked out in years. The staff is all really great. Thanks Grit for getting me back on track.
My girlfriend and I took the 6 week weight loss challenge. Sam, Mary Beth, and Joey gave us so much great information while being supportive and inspirational. This gym will give you the knowledge behind the workouts, and customize the exercises for each individual. I had shoulder surgery a few months before we began, and I was never pushed beyond what I could do. Ive lost 27 pounds so far, and Im in the best shape Ive been in since college! Thanks guys! Cant wait to see how far I can go.
The instructors are incredible. I get a challenging and safe workout. Each week I make little steps to improve my balance and strength. I have a long ways to go, but walk out very week feeling successful and knowing theres more things I need to work on. I love the workout and will drive the hour very week to get it. Also I just turned into a senior citizen, so I recommend this workout for all ages and levels.
Grit Fitness is an excellent gym for all ages. Instructors are terrific. The Challenge program helped me get back in shape following surgery after breaking my arm. Was able to kayak 7 days in Alaska 5 weeks after starting the program! They are moving next to the Longmont Climbing Collective, providing access to even more services. Thanks Grit Team!
Five stars for Grit Fitness Center a great place with excellent trainers! They feature both indoor and outdoor training. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned pro Grit has a training program that will work for you. Located at 2415 Wedgewood Avenue in Longmont, Colorado, which is little off the beaten path but well worth searching for. Looking forward to my next workout at Grit!Ken
Sam is a professional and very knowledgeable. He identified what I needed to work on to gain strength and muscle, while also paying close attention to some hip sensitivities. He put a program together that I could work on at home with periodic check ins at the gym.
The club is a great place to workout with good equipment and friendly and helpful staff. Sam, the owner, is an excellent trainer with very good knowledge as to what is needed to safely strengthen your muscles. I am own of the older members and appreciate the aid in keeping fit so I can ski and hike regularly. I highly recommend the club.
Knowledgeable staff, fun classes, great members - all-in-all I couldnt ask for a better place to work out.
I cannot say enough things about Grit and its staff. I was a member of Bally Fitness in Dallas before moving to Longmont. That gym was over sold in memberships and the equipment was covered with sweat from previous users. After January 1st the place was packed to the brink with people recruited in their New Years Resolution drive. They came for about a month and then disappeared but you had to sign up on a list to be inline to use a particular type of equipment. On the other hand I joined Grit with my wife a few years ago and love the small gym atmosphere where people know each other and the equipment is maintained beautifully. No sweat on the handles, ever! I have not waited more than a couple of minutes to use the equipment I wished to and most of the time no wait at all, everyone is very accommodating to each other. I had a training secession with Sam the owner at which time he spent the first meeting just looking at each previous injury I had had in the past (now age 64). He tailored an exercise routine that would not further injure the sites mentioned but would build core strength for ski season. He demonstrated each routine and then provided videos so I could remember and practice the exercises on my own. That helped me immensely to get on a well rounded routine that I could remember easily.Lastly Grit is entertaining and full of excitement due to the Ninja Playground center within easy viewing from the adjoining patio or through the many windows while you are working out! Gives you a little inspiration for that last exercise of the day. You will truly view some up and coming Ninja Warriors that we have right here in Longmont, Colorado.Bill and Sarah Lamoreaux
