Not only did they do the above mentioned, they also did the upper, and lower ball joints, axle bearing, new tie rod, and all the belts. All in 2 days because I am from Virginia, and was leaving in 2 days! Not to mention THE BEST pricing by FAR!! These guys are very knowledgeable, and definitely had mine, and my family’s safety in mind. Seeing as I was about to drive cross country. THANK YOU guys at Knotts Auto!!!

Great honest service. Went in for a diagnostic for my cars suspension problems, not only did they provided me with a thorough and honest review of my cars issues but also took the time to carefully show me and explain the problem. Never tried to sell me something that was not needed and were very clear about what I should do and what I can hold off on since budget was an issue for me. Id highly recommend.

These guys did a fast and thorough repair of my vehicle. We had an interesting car issue shortly after, the van wouldnt start after going through the car wash. The guys from knotts came down TO The CARWASH and checked out the car. I had to pick my kids up from school, so i got a ride and they got my car started and moved back to their shop while i was gone. They gave it another thorogh check, confirmed some water had got into someplace it wasnt supposed to, but let it dry out and made sure it was good to go. They sent us on the way no charge, for that whole Day. They really followed through with us! Will be back again and again :)

Use to really like working with this place. Had them do a clutch and they did a great job, then replace a heat core in my truck. Couple weeks after the heater core replacment had a bolt fall out on my steering post and was doing about 45mph when i lost steering, jumped a curb and went into a gully. Tighting one bolt would be easy enough to overlook but that was an important one to miss and could have ended a lot worse considering i just drove 20 miles down I25 doing 75mph. Ended up having to replace a clock spring from turning my free spinning steering wheel but that was only $50 and a half hour of my time.Called in to get a quote on a valve cover gasket replace. Gave them the make and model but they refuse to tell me how much it would cost over the phone, needed to bring it in, which was odd as they always had in the past. It is a old truck with 235000 miles on it and i was just trying to get an idea if it was worth the repair before driving from Firestone to longmont, grabbing an Uber and coming back to get my other vehicle. Just time consuming for me if the cost of the repair doesnt make sense on the vehicle.Between overlooking tighting a important bolt and them refusing to tell me a cost on a specific repair on a specific make/model I have a 2 star rating, some people would do less but i have worked on enough stuff to know tighting one bolt could be easy to overlook.

Really good reliable mechanic shop, I have taken my car her several times and have always been pleased with the work that theyve done. The best part about this shop is the owner Colt, and how he stands behind the work done in his shop. The most recent experience that Ive had with Knotts resulted in them replacing my head gasket for free! I cant say enough good things about this shop and its owner! Very friendly staff, everyone is very professional. I myself know nothing about cars so I was really nervous to first go in. Colt was very patient and was very clear about what was needed to fix the issues with my car. I brought it in needing a new mount, new battery & a ground cable.. among other things.. my navigation system wasn’t working when I first bought the car and I ended up leaving with it working properly. I honestly rarely if ever leave reviews of places on any platform, but I absolutely had to leave a review of Knotts. I had a few minor concerns to check out so I took my truck in to Knotts. When I got there, the owner himself looked at the things that were concerning me, and he actually let me know that I was wise to make sure things were in good condition. But he said that everything checked out fine. Not only that, but he quickly checked and changed a blown fuse (I had already bought the new fuse to replace it myself) and he quickly looked at my brakes to make sure they were in good shape for my pending road trip. I wish I could bring my truck in there all the time, but I dont live in the area. I have never met such an honest man and mechanic in my life. He told me that he didnt really need to work on the truck because it was in good running order, he looked at my brakes, and he changed my fuse. He did all of that, and he didnt charge me. It was only a couple minutes of his time, but it was still his time. Dont go expecting free work people!!! Thats not what this is about or what Im saying. I can say that you can take your vehicle stress free and know it will get the best and most honest work in the business. Thank you Knotts for restoring my faith in the auto industry.

I really have no idea how this shop could improve. You often deal with the owner himself, Colt. The front desk guy, Zac, is efficient and friendly. Most importantly the quality of the work is 5 star and they stand behind it. Example: I stopped by with my 1997 dodge RAM 1500 (which they have worked on before) to inquire about it heating up in traffic. Colt diagnosed it on the spot, said he would get the part and put it in tomorrow morning while I wait. Try to get that kind of service from you local car dealer.

Far and away the best experience Ive had with an auto body shop. When my car broke down on Ken Pratt and wouldnt start again, I thought I was in for a real nightmare, but Zach and the rest of the crew really made the experience as pleasant and painless as possible. We were On the Road of Adventure in the area when we had issues with the clutch in our Jeep. The local dealership wanted over twice as much to replace the clutch as what Knotts Auto charged and that included replacing the flywheel and other parts. Thanks to Colt and his team, we were back on the road in a few days. Great customer service included a phone call a few weeks later to see how things were working AND taking a call from me some months later when we were experiencing a new problem with the Jeep. We wish there were companies like this everywhere we went. If you live or travel in the area of Longmont, this is where you should go!

I was unhappy with what I thought was a lack of communication and inability to do the work needed but discovered that it was my own fault as they had contacted my brother who brought the car in. After the owner found out that i was unhappy, he called me and asked what he could do to make it right. He also referred me to a body shop that may be able to do the job.I have never encountered such good service! This repair shop is the best ever and I won’t take my cars anywhere else.

This is absolutely the place to take your car in Longmont. The staff is friendly, and Colt fixed my car fast! I had a weird noise in my tire, and he took it for a spin to hear the sound himself. He looked at it for me the next day and found tire weights that were rattling around! Said hed never seen anything like it but Im glad he found the problem! Set up appointment 2 days in advance to have my car aligned. Let them know it was an older mopar that was restored and might be a little out of the norm, as to let them know if its a problem let me know and I can look elsewhere. Upon arrival turned away, said they couldnt do it. Went to les Schwab on ken pratt without making an appointment and done in a little over an hour.

We first went to Knott’s for a pre-purchase inspection for a truck we were considering buying. The guys squeezed us in on a short notice on a Friday afternoon (which we greatly appreciated) and gave us a short list of repairs needed as well as their overall opinion on the vehicle. Their input helped us make a wise decision regarding the purchase.The shop is clean, and the staff is very very friendly. I really appreciated that about them. I loved the Bible verse decor on the walls — as I always appreciate a business who isn’t afraid to share their faith. Fantastic place!! I recently got a new vehicle and there were a few lights on. Which if youve had that happen right after buying a vehicle, it can be stressful and disappointing. I dropped off the vehicle in the morning and stopped by after I got out if work. Everything that was wrong with the vehicle was gone over with me, and it turned out to be minor. It was a huge relief! His team quickly diagnosed my electrical issue being a faulty alternator I had purchased a couple days prior from another auto store. I have know Colt for several years and trust him with any vehicle I have. When I had a limousine business he Esa the only one in town that could handle doing oil changes on a stretch limousine.

I took an old diesel mercedes benz there and they were willing to look at it and fix it and offer some suggestions on what to do with it. I was getting kind of frustrated with the car because I was going through a rough time but knotts auto finally got my car started and running for a decent price. I hope they can look at my van in the near future because I really appreciate all that they have done to get the mercedes going again. It also couldnt of been at a better time since my van is not driveable for long distances at this time.

I brought my 2008 chevy diesel to the knotts team this week to get a radiator, coolant, hoses, diff services, oil change and fuel filter done. And I gotta say they did an excellent job. Zach at the front counter is very polite, honest, and through when explaining what is going on, i had the pleasure of having Robert as the technician on my truck and he is a class act and his attention to detail is amazing. Colt is also a great owner and very personable he truly cares about your experience and wants to make the best of it. I will always bring my truck back and every other vehicle I own now for life. I have been to Knotts on 3 occasions. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and really took time to help with my vehicle. Colt knew my VW diesel issue almost immediately. It was fixed on time and there was a issue for a price on a part and they corrected it in my favor. I havent seen this level of service in a long time. I encourage you to bring your car to them for estimates and work. Not a solicited review.
