Will definitely be going back! There was a little bit of a wait but I didn’t mind. I have no plans for the rest of the day! I was given a bottle of water while waiting and they didn’t try to talk me into getting something more expensive than what I needed. Super nice and super fast.

Richard runs this place like a well tuned machine. The workers are dedicated and take pride in what they do. They offer waters when there is a short wait and they do everything and more without even being asked too. Will definitely not be going anywhere else in San Marcos for my oil changes from now on.

My husband actually took the car in and when I mentioned I received a request for a survey (keep in mind he rarely responds to surveys), he said please complete it and indicate I was pleased with the service. His quote, They were awesome.

They did oil change fairly fast, but they did keep throwing services at me in very short notice, most people would just said yes. But my tires balance and airintake filter has just changed a couple month back at other places. They claim there services to increase gas milage, but I doubt it will by any significance after the services.Overall a very fast place to change oil, but understand what is the service you want and do not say yes to any other ones.

I appreciate that every time I come hear they have someone dedicated to taking care of inspections. This helps to move along the process. Thank you for taking this approach 😊

It was busy when I got my oil changed. They moved their line very quickly and I was able to get my vehicle serviced in a reasonable amount of time. The only issue I have is that my receipt says fluids were filled which is one of the reasons I went to this location. Upon that night I went to use my washer fluid and found it had not been filled as was listed on my receipt. Other than that issue, the service was great.

Bad Experience make sure they actually put oil in your car. My son went to get a oil change, two days later his car stopped completely on a new 2018 car and to his surprise there was no oil in the car. When he took his car in to the dealership they said he was so lucky he didnt new a new engine. Dealership checked for leaking problems and there was none and had to pay for a oil change again at the dealership. They said there was nothing wrong with the car other than it was running in no oil change.

Guys were great. Was just extremely short staffed. On the companies end not the employees.

Oil was overfilled by accident in the morning by myself and the guys there were beyond helpful to make sure the van was ok after a oil change. Definitely professional hard working guys there.

One word: impressed. I had never been to a Take 5 before, but am glad I came. When I pulled up from the street I was greeted by an associate before I even knew what to do. He cheerfully handed my passenger and I two cold bottled waters and explained the process. Evidently I didn’t need to exit my vehicle! I’ve never met a friendlier more professional group of people. They answered all my questions immediately and even asked what tire pressure I preferred. I’ll tell ya, this place has changed the way I look at these quick oil change places. I see myself returning in the next 5k miles for sure.

This place was SLOOOOOOOW. It took me 56 minutes to get my oil changed, and there was only one car in front of me in line.The manager was nice, but this place is not good. I definitely wont be coming back.

I got my oil changed here in late July and I started to smell oil about three days after. I thought nothing of it but I started my car and grey smoke came out of the hood. They forgot to put the oil cap back on. It took hours to steam clean the oil off of the engine. 😐

The staff was very friendly and thorough and advised me of all my options and prices.

I only expected one thing: ALL the fluids to be checked and topped off. I asked to be sure when I pulled up. They did oil and dumped WATER (NOT antifreeze) in the reservoir. And tried to send me off. I asked for them to check transmission and power steering. I also wanted brake fluid and windsheild fluid checked, you know... ALL the fluids, but Id settle for those two. They said they DIDNT EVEN HAVE THOSE FLUIDS IN THE SHOP. So why did I come here and pay $80 for an oil change and water?! (I did get wiper blades as well). They were polite so I didnt give one star, but this place suuuuuuuucks.

This place took forever to get an oil change and all the guys were just standing around. Would not recommend.

The gentlemen working at this location are extremely nice, helpful, and professional. I was in and out and they went the extra mile to help. My dipstick was broken and I had no clue. This is my favorite place in San Marcos to go to get an oil change. They always have really good deals and are really fast! They also will always offer you a bottled water which is really nice to have when youre sitting in the car. They also have fans positioned so that they will blow on you a few go during a hot summer day. I recommend Take 5 to all my friends.

Definitely not the fastest oil change, waited 45 minutes and never got attended to, went to jiffy lube after and they were soo much faster

This is the best experience I have ever had at an oil change station. I was promptly greeted and given a bottle of cold water and told that I could stay in my car since they provide a drive-through oil change. Josh and Micah took care of my oil, topped off my wiper fluid, checked the air pressure on my tires, and also checked my air vent. I didnt feel like I was being pushed to pick a more expensive oil change, but they did have a special going where I could get the next best oil for only $10 more instead of the usual $20 more. After my transaction was complete and the oil change was finished, I was greeted by the store manager himself, who wiped off my windshield with another worker. I will definitely be returning and will let my friends in the area know this is the place to go to get your oil change done by a fast and friendly crew.

Jiffy Lube had two customers and told me it’d take 45 minutes for an inspection, this place also had two customers but here’s the difference: they got my car inspected in 5 minutes and I had an hour not to spend waiting in my car. Friendly staff and appreciate their service.

Amazing customer service! They also offer an INCREDIBLE military discount which was extremely nice of them. They gave me a cold water while I waited for them to do the oil change. They also aired my tires, and did some routine car checks. Very sweet men working there and they kept a conversation going with me the whole time. Will definitely go back.

If you want a hassle-free, stress-free and friendly servicing, I HIGHLY recommend Take 5! In the heat of the day, as you’re in line, they offer water and snacks to ease the wait. They are knowledgable, friendly and are very diligent during your servicing. I’ve used them 3 times now and refuse to go elsewhere for my car!

Super long wait very apathetic staff

Never had my oil change while in the car. First time there and the service was quick, friendly and efficient. The prices were a little expensive for a oil change in my opinion. However it’s the best place I’ve tried in San Marcos and Kyle and they’re open on Sunday.

Had filter & oil changed hours ago. These men are great workers!! Friendly, fast & polite. They are wearing masks and it’s too hot today I felt bad, sweat running down their faces. Management please let these men wear tank tops at work in summer hehe btw, Thanks guys!! ;)

First timer.. Great service! Hadn’t had time to get my oil change, so I was regretting having to go during my lunch break. However, they didn’t disappoint! They were quick and I didn’t have to get down from my car. They gave me a water bottle while I waited and I was even able to pick up food on my way back to work! Definitely coming back in the future.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I arrived and left in less than 15 minutes to get my car inspected. They were very hospitable and even gave me a cold water because it was so hot out. I received excellent customer service after 3 hours of running around to DIFFERENT businesses trying to get this done. Always, always come to Take 5!!! I will be returning to them again and again.

Been going to Walmart because it used to be convenient back in the day (shop a lil and then be done). Thats not the case anymore. So I was tired of going there and remembered seeing Take 5 in San Marcos and figured Id give them a try. It was a great decision, waited for maybe an hour tops if that on a Saturday afternoon. Everyone was super cool and professional. Didnt have to take my kids out and wait around with other random people walking by or with my little ones trying to play hide and go seek. Will be stopping on by here from now on.

Great place to have your oil changed, no need to get out and wait in small waiting area. The staff are professional and friendly which makes it a great experience. I do not go anywhere else as they are fast and convenient.

I took my car for an oil change last at the north austin location, where they didnt replace my oil plug and managed to strip the head. These guys spent a good 45 minutes trying to get it unscrewed. Unfortunately, they arent equipped to deal with an issue this big, so they are sending me to a mechanic that can fix the problem and taking care of the labor cost to fix said problem. The guys there were very professional and even checked in on me to see if I was hot or thirsty while they tried to fix the issue. Very professional group of people who seem to really care about their customers. Thanks for all your hard work today guys!

I went in today for an oil change and was floored by the level of service. Unmatched by anywhere Ive been. They have a new manager who was extremely professional and courteous, they took care of me very well, topped up my fluids, aired up my tires, cleaned my windshield, showed me my air filter (which looked terrible) and sold me a new one at a discounted price all while completing my oil change in less than 10 minutes. Just amazing. I highly recommend them for your next oil change.
