Captain Jamie was a great captain! My group and I had so much fun and wish we had booked a whole day!

Captain Jamie took my family out on the Long Beach harbor. He introduced us to sailing terminology and allowed us to man wheel and sailing lines. He was also very knowledge of the surround waters and shared his sailing experiences. I would definitely recommend chartering if you are looking to get into sailing.

We had such an awesome afternoon with Captain Kevin! He was a great host and made us all feel totally welcome. Easy to relax and enjoy the day! Looking forward to getting back ASAP!

Captain Jamie was very knowledgeable and helpful when making my reservation over the phone. We booked the intro to sailing, and was hosted by Captain Kevin. We met him at the conveniently located marina entrance and hopped on a beautiful 34 sailboat. He made sure we were comfortable and let us be as involved as we wanted. Sailing out in the harbor was delightful and we learned so much about sailing. They warn you about how addicting sailing can be.... We will be back for sure!

I booked a sunset sailing cruise for my boyfriend’s birthday. He’s always been very into sailing so I thought it would be a perfect gift. Captain Kevin was our instructor and he was more than fabulous! He let my boyfriend sail the boat and gave him a lot of useful information and tips. 100% worth the price, we can’t wait to go again!

I asked Capt Jamie to help me get out of my slip. I am new to sailing. My slip is difficult. I’m so glad I didn’t find anyone else! I just googled. Lucky me, Jamie was born to teach. He is patient, moreover he knows what I didn’t know. How? I don’t know. The things I didn’t know I didn’t know, lol. Capt Jamie teaches in a welcoming way, no anxiety. Well worth every cent! I am so much more capable now, I should get a better rate on my insurance ha! I wish I could explain how good it feels to have someone who is totally able to communicate his skills, and have tangible results! ⛵️

I had a great first time experience sailing! Kevin was a great instructor, by the end of the 3 hours I knew the basics of getting from point a to point b. We have been experienced power boaters for many years but this experience has convinced us to purchase a sailboat. We will be using these guys for our formal sailboat training!

I got this as a surprise gift and it was an awesome experience. If you want to enjoy champagne and sail around the harbor that’s an option OR if you are the adventure type you have the option to learn some sailing! This experience was great because of captain Jamie who was so energetic! We will definitely be back to learn and enjoy more sailing!

We had Captain Adam and the experience was wonderful. Gives you options to learn as much as you want and be involved in the operation of the boat, or just sit back and enjoy as you like.Beautiful sunset views!!

I bought my first 27 powerboat, I was going to be the captain for first time. I was a little intimidated but, by the end of the lesson I felt so comfortable and ready to take her out. I was learning with my son and he had it after a few hours. Jamie is an amazing instructor and we had two lessons and plan on doing sailing classes to. It included learning safety and learning about my boat.

Sunglow rocked! They will make sure you can relax, learn a little bit, and come back with pictures of an awesome adventure. We took our family and both parents and kids loved it. We sailed out of Long Beach, which is a huge harbor so you can sail for a long time but not have the waves like the open ocean. You will also definitely see sea lions and other wildlife. The captain was very friendly and did everything to operate the boat, but also taught us a bunch and let us help operate the boat. Your choice if you want to or not. Super great experience for my kids who had never sailed before! Bring some sandwiches, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and go have a fun and relaxing adventure. They had sunscreen in case we forgot, which was super cool of them. If youre worried about getting seasick, you can always take dramamine before you go. We were worried we might get seasick but it was totally fine! Great relaxing adventure!

I purchased a sunset cruise through Groupon 2 years ago and had the best time, Sunglow offers the best rates in the harbor, I have since purchased multiple cruises directly through Captain Royer, and have gone out several more times with family and friends. Being out on the water is truly a breathtaking experience, and having a having a well trained Captain at the helm puts all worries at ease. You will not regret taking a sunset cruise with Sunglow! I hear they offer sailing classes as well!
