We love renting kayaks here, it is an easy and quick process to get going. I think its $12/hr per person. We finally got to see and touch the moon jellies this past week!

Came here this morning with a friend to take paddle boarding lessons to start off my birthday. Evan was our instructor, and let me tell you, he was amazing!! I have no background in sports on boards, never skateboarded or surfed, but he got me up and moving and leaving feeling confident. I can’t wait to do this again. Great experience!

I tried kayaking last summer, and it was great love it!!!!. I am excited to go again this year!. The staff was friendly, and they will go through the dos and don’ts.I highly recommend this place 10/10!.

Awesome socially distant activity to do with friends and family that wont break the bank ($12/hr for a kayak). Kayaks on the Water makes it super easy to rent online and speed up your check in process. Their safety video online was very cheesy, but because it was so corny, it made it quite enjoyable to watch.We came on a cloudy day in April and it was actually very cold, so parking on Ocean Blvd, was very easy. There was plenty of spots nearby, and also parking in the residential areas not too far away. Just be sure to read the signs carefully.The check in process was as easy as they said it would be online. They provided all of us with life vests, and they had single kayaks, double kayaks, and even stand up paddle boards. They were also nice enough to allow us to change up our rentals last minute, since it was kind of windy and cold out on the water, some of us did not want to try stand up paddle boarding and decided to stick to the safer route and kayak.Since they are located in the Marina, it also feels safer as the waves arent as choppy, especially once you are in the canals. Great experience and glad to have rediscovered it. Will be coming back more often now that summer is approaching!

Had a great time, even met a Marine Biologist whom gave me a number for someone who sells JellyFish aquariums!!!! I bought one and had to get my fishing license with Dept of Fish&Game and I was allowed to take up to 35 moon jellies for my tank! My tank is too small for that many. I bought the 6 gallon tank.So now I have JELLYFISH that I caught swimming on my desk in this cool aquarium. Everyone askes me about my jellyfish at the office and I tell them about the awesome kayak rental place in long beach and relive my story.

Had a lovely morning kayak trip around Naples and Spinnaker Bay. The kayak rental process was easy and well organized, and this is such a great way to enjoy Long Beach

Definitely recommend this cool spot in LBC !! Everyone is so friendly, and their sign in process is quick and easy. They have instructional videos for first time paddlers, which really help. My instructor, Sofia, was very kind, extremely thorough & took the time to really make sure I got it down. She did her best to humor me & calm my nerves while I did my best to not freak out lol. Good vibes all around, will be back soon.

My friend & I had a great time paddling through Naples Canal. We even saw a dolphin (!!!) nearby near the shore.

Open 365 with friendly, helpful staff. Perennial local favorite for kayaking and SUPing. Really good vibes all year for the beach, swimming, water vessels (including nearby gondola service), nearby boardwalk, too. Love this place.

Wonderful, affordable, and fun service. Enjoy for an hour or make it an all day excursion. Call ahead on windy days to ensure the weather conditions are not impacting their hours.

We had a wonderful time! The employees were so helpful and friendly! They helped our mom in and out of the kayak and made sure she had a stable kayak, all without making her feel like a burden. The safety precautions made us feel very comfortable and we will definitely be back!

Loved the staff, friendly. Had a lot of fun, relaxing, up until I almost got ran over by a speed boat. My kayak was literally a foot or 2 away, boat came fast and so close to my kayak where it rocked so hard and nearly tilted me over. So please be careful and pay attention and know what you are doing out there.

We had lots of fun‼️ Very mellow but very peaceful when we went. May be due to the Covid Situation or may be because it was only 70 degrees all sun no wind...🤔 Regardless, it was enjoyable.The employees are very nice and helpful. Schedule your time online before going as they do require it and yes, you meed your mask while around the employees (just until you get into the kayak or stand up... so be respectful.

Beautiful way to spend time on the water. Reasonable prices too for both paddle boarding and kayaking. Staff are very nice and will help launch you if needed. We see herons, egrets and occasionally seals.

Fun, easy, hassle free, and a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Staff is friendly and it was easy to learn for a first timer.

Super easy and fast. They get you right on the water in a hurry. The location has decent parking along the street depending on the day. Theres lots of room to kayak and explore with beautiful views youll forget your near the city. I even make new friends out there sometimes. The location couldnt be better.

It was great. They let you do reservations online, which I highly recommend. You watch the safety videos and info about where you can kayak. When you arrive you dont have to wait in line which is why you should do it. We went in the morning and when we returned (around noon), there was already a line.We did single kayaks, but you can go two to a kayak. The canal was closed for construction, but we were able to enjoy going all the way around.

Best time to go is early in the morning or a few hours before they close. No wait time and its really peaceful and beautiful.

For $12 an hour you can rent a kayak or a standing paddle board. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We have a great time out on the water. They disinfect everything when you return to the shore. This is a great way to get out and still adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Love this place, I found by making a reservation on their website you don’t have to wait in line very long at all. The staff is very accommodating. They also offer many areas where you can sanitize when necessary. Definitely will be going back.

This place is super easy to get to and the staff were great. Cameron was a very patient instructor for my daughter who was paddle boarding for the first time. Oh and the prices are super cheap compared to other places we looked at. Easy rental process, quick to get on the water. Plenty of parking close by. Alimitos Bay is fully protected so easy kayaking vs the ocean. Fun to go around the canals and look at the houses. You can kayak to Belmont shores for a snack or the beaches to swim.

Make sure to make a reservation for your group to skip the long lines. We were able to get our kayaks quickly by reserving online instead. Happy paddling!

Very fun, didnt think Id enjoy kayaking so much. They really have it streamlined to respect social distancing. Definitely a great way to get out, get exercise and get fresh air without having to interact with too many people.

It was $12/hour to get a kayak. The kayaks were pretty beat up, but getting on and off the water was relatively easy. For that price, its a great value.

Great location on sheltered Alamitos Bay. Friendly staff, good equipment [frequently disinfected], clean individual bathrooms, easy close parking. Totally calm water excellent for beginners, plus nice beach and swimming at the site. We were directed to small cove where we saw non-stinging jellies. So much to see that we never made it to the wetlands; have to save that for next time. Oh yes, one of the lowest prices around.

Very fun and huge place to kayak around. Just watch out for boats and sharks. We bumped into a shark a few times. But it was very peaceful.

The rates are really fair, $12/hour, and then they charge accordingly for the minutes past your hour(s). They take card payment which is convenient and offer all you need to kayak.

Kayaks On the Water is located in Long Beach. Upon arriving, they asked if my entire party was there. They werent, so he asked if I could wait. Not a problem. They wanted us to watch the safety video together. Under no circumstances will they rent to you if you cant swim in deep water. Not to mention you sign over all liability. So you are responsible for the kayak, paddle, and your life. Done. The good thing is, rentals are $9/hr (cash) or $10/hr (when paying with a credit card). You pay a prorated amount for every minute you go over. So if you were on the water for 1.5 hours you pay for 1.5 hours not 2. Pretty awesome. The water was mostly calm on the day we went and we kayaked pretty far. Luckily we had the wherewithal to paddle back before we made our way to open water. Definitely keep an eye out for your surroundings, dont panic, and wear a lot of sunscreen. It was fun and Id definitely come back.

I love this place! Ive only been kayaking so not sure about the paddleboards and maybe the kayaks are not the newest around, but they are well maintained, inexpensive and the staff are glad to help with any issues you have. Most of all the area is fun, fun, fun for the recreational paddler. Dont miss the short trip around Naples to see how the other tenth of a percent live. History buffs can take a longer trip to see the Marine Stadium built for the 1932 Olympics, the first of its kind in the US. And I would highly recommend the slightly long trip to the Ballast Point Brewery and restaurant. True, youre paying $10 an hour while your kayaks are docked and your enjoying a beer but you cant beat the view from the upper level.

Were sort of local up in L.A and weve kayaked here about 10 times over the last few years. Ive never been to one of these kayak places where the staff wasnt kind of unprofessional and off handed about the process. Weve had worse experiences in both Channel Islands Harbor and Sunset Beach. Once you kind of know the deal its an easy process. Sign, pay,and go. Since for the most part we only have these small boat harbors in which to paddle, LB is a good as most and theyre half the price as most of the others.

Ive been 3 times now, two times in the last week and once last year. I had contact with 3 different trainers and 2 concessionaires and all were super friendly and nice!! I was just commenting to the friend that went with me about how much I am impressed with how they treat their customers. I am looking forward to next weekend already!!

This is really really REALLY CHEAP literally go to spot when ever you come here in big bear it costs 40$ for 1h for 1 kayak like wtff but here it was for 12$ for 1h for 1 person.

Easy access, easy check out: sign in, watch safety video, hand over drivers license, grab boat, PFD and paddle. Youre on the water in minutes in a very calm bay. The kayaks are all sit on top, you DO need to know how to swim (for safety reasons) and they dont mind if you bring your small, well behaved dog with you. Highly recommended for easy fun on the water.
