My two teen boys finally got haircuts today and they were absolutely satisfied! It was hot but tolerable with ocean breeze and shades. Adam and Edwin were both fantastic! Stylish and easy for aftercare. Friendly staffs. I highly recommend this place.

Poor time management. Had appt and waited only to be told after 20 mins my cutter was running 20 mins late? Not cool.

None of the management does hair. They have no empathy for the workers, they expect you to do: consultation, hair cut, use the blade on the neckline, massage, in 30 minutes. I was harassed and fired. I do believe that good customer service is always different, some people could be done in 30 minutes other need more time. Really the only thing that should matter is to make the client happy and coming back.

I was a former customer, the rude lady working the front desk their will insure that they will never get my business again. Its unfortunate because me and my kids went their for haircuts. Plenty of other friendly businesses in Long Beach.

I went Floyd’s today and had a below average experience to start off when we booked the appointment we had payed 95 dollars for a full service haircut yet to figure out that it was for 2 people which they never stated In their website. Moving on to the barber he was fast a rushy and did a terrible job I showed him a picture and he barely followed it he was mega aggressive with my hair to the point were my hair was hurting at the end. The barber made 0 attempts at conversation at the most I got was how was yourhe did not even bother to ask what my name was which I thought was common curtisy. Left the barber shop with soaking wet hair and hair all inside my shirt. Once again we paid 95 doallers for this when the whole thing took 20 minutes. Anyway the service was terrible I was waiting for almost 30 minutes without anything. The barber also failed to were a mask he had his nose showing.

Social Distanced amongst customers. Quality haircut for outside.Thought it was odd my barber was using clips to hold my hair until he said its been a challenge cutting hair in the wind.Then it all hit me mid haircut. Why am I sitting here, why am I getting a haircut outside? Am I that desperate?I was. And it came out great.

I am sorry to say this I waited too long to write this out and I forgot the barbers name he was so great he looks like a true artist when hes cutting your hair and he did a really great job friendly he gave me his card and told me that anytime I ever came back in there that he would help me I really appreciated his artistry and his determination it was as if he had his game face on it was fun to watch thanks Floyds 99 great job

You get a fairly decent haircut here. The staff is always pretty friendly.Sometimes the front desk people are just okay but the stylist and the barbers are great. The prices are really high but the environment is clean and theres lots of parking.its kind of weird right now because you have to wait outside and they have all the chairs facing backwards rather than putting them outside for the guests. Thats the only thing wrong. You can get a good solid cut here.

Excellent speed of service, friendly staff (tough as they are working outdoors in the elements), and I got a great haircut to boot. It was my first time to visit Floyds, booked via the internet. I was assigned Victoria for my haircut. Ill definitely head back to Floyds next month when the head starts to get a little shaggy.

Before I started coming here, I had my hair butchered countless times. I love my hair to be short, and when I had shown the same inspiration photo to previous hair stylists, they could never convert it into a style that felt like “me”. I went to Floyd’s 99 Barbershop and saw Cassie. I showed her the same photo and even asked her if I should keep it out for here to reference. She said, “nope, I’ve got it” and I was 100% thrilled with what she did. I cannot tell you how relieving it was to not only feel like myself again but to have found a hairstylist that I can continue to rely on going forward. I highly recommend her and the other talented artists: great atmosphere and attitude from the staff, I feel comfortable and relaxed when I’m there.

I love my hair dresser Rose, she does a great job all the time. I am still shocked how she can consistently cut my hair in less than 15 minutes... yeap you heard me Rose is super quick and always great.

Only give it a four because one time I got a different hair cutter who didnt do such a great job. But otherwise, Ive had excellent cuts from Rose every single time. The vibe and the decor is kind of fun too. And also, the location right there the beach cannot be beat.

Great cuts here! dont have an appointment just come in and theyll take care of you. First time I didnt have an appointment and was appointed with a very knowledgeable person. Second time I made an appointment with same person and walked out with the same feeling the first time, satisfied. I seen everyone around me getting nice cuts, all the stylists and barbers here seem very dexterous.

I had such high hopes. I asked specifically for someone with experience dealing with hair loss/thinning. The receptionist asked the stylist if she did long hair. That shouldve been a red flag. The stylist was nice and took me right away. I liked what she had to say about how to balance the back and top. When she learned it was my first time, she said shampoo would be free. Great! If that was a signature massage shampoo, they need a new dictionary. The cut may be fine, I cant tell yet because the style was awful. I just wanted to get out, but not without my free shoulder massage. Um, Im still waiting for that. She told the receptionist it was a full service and then on to the next customer. What happened to the free shampoo? Did I piss her off? Maybe Im older than the typical client, but I wanted something fresh and it fell short. Thank god I had a half off coupon. That helped. I still tipped on the full price, but I went away disappointed.

Went 60 seconds after opening only for them to tell me that there are two people that are on the way..looked around and saw that I was the only other person that was not someone who worked there in the building. Was told it would be at least a thirty minute or more wait. Let me reiterate, I was the ONLY other person besides people who work there in the place. How are you going to turn a customer with good money away? Do you make enough money already to where you dont need mine? Why even show up to work? Would you ever make someone wait thirty minutes who is present and has money in hand? Especially since there was NO ONE there??? Was asked if I wanted to make an appointment which seemed almost comical. Yes let me waste my life and time by coming back here again when you are done cutting imaginary peoples hair. Hope you made enough money. Wish I could rate zero stars because zero is the amount of effort put fourth and zero is the amount of how much I felt they cared. It was if it was their displeasure to see a customer walk in and ask for a haircut. Do not waste your time or money here either as haircuts are premium prices. Funny how they can expect so much and give you so little (nothing).

If you really need just a haircut at a mid range price this is your place. The atmosphere is kinda cool, but the staff is green. Floyds crew is fresh out of school, and dont really have a good knowledge of the craft yet. Once a crew member has enough time behind a chair they move on to a place where they will make more money (and serve a beer)

He didn’t seem too enthusiastic to cut my hair, all I asked for was a skin fade, he didn’t even do that all he did was throw a 0 on there and called it a fade. Asked for a line up. And he only did the top not even the sides. Did even put gel in my hair. And he cut the back of my neck. Idk what kind of establishment this is I’m never coming here again never recommending this place. I understand that it’s late and he wants to go home, but he is still on the clock. If he doesn’t want to cut hair then move on to something else.

Definitely not the best haircuts given here though 9 out of 10 of the employees and barbers are great conversationalists and its been a pleasure to have them cut my hair. They front counter receptionists could use a bit of a motivational talk, but for a chain on the upper level of a super cut place its not to bad.

They do give alright haircuts at reasonable prices but have two short comings that just grind my gears.Firstly every where you look youll see stickers telling you that cash is better for tips.... you know how to make people feel that they dont want to tip, to put up signs everywhere saying Hey, ya, we expect you to tip and if its not in cash then f**k you.Secondly is the inability to make an appointment. Same day is fine, but if you call in and dont know the exact person you want at the exact time that you want to come in they tell you are told to call in thirty minutes before you want to come in. So basically if you dont know someones schedule you wont be able to even be sure that youll be able to get a haircut.But if youre okay with not being able to make an appointment as you would at any other place and being constantly reminded Hey dont forget to tip in cash, then this place is pretty alright.Also last time I got a haircut the woman didnt speak to me at all even when spoken to, faced me at the wall (was sitting in the chair closest to the wall so the view was fantastic), and was obviously incredibly stoned.

Meraida does an excellent job with cutting and styling my hair just the way I like it. I came in with long hair and wanted it cut short. She made sure thats what I wanted to do and then cut it to a style that I love. I moved out of state and still make appts with her when I come visit SoCal.

Poor customer service from a young woman working the front desk and phones on 06/05/17. After patronizing this business for 2 1/2 years, I am done. The fact that the person answering the phone does not know a single shred about politeness and customer service is enough to make me take my business elsewhere. When I asked for the franchise owners name and contact information, I was told to contact corporate for that information. No other information was offered. I suggest that they terminate her employment and let her go back to working at a fast food drive-thru where people are accustomed to her lack of professionalism.

I woke up today on this Saturday morning feeling so fresh, as fresh as can be. Feeling so fly. Why ? Yesterday, I went to go see the greatest barber I have ever had in my life, Corey Martinez. Time and Time again, I keep going back to this man. I follow him whereever goes for the flyest of cuts. And now that he has made a home here at Floyds on Ocean, I set my appt every 2 weeks. Corey listens to what I want, understands what I need, and delivers the very best every single time. Truly thankful, for I have found a hidden gem.Thanks Corey! For all the fly cuts !

This isnt normally where I go for a haircut. I go to one of the other mens barber shops in town. It was early morning, I didnt have an appointment, and I was able to get in right away, which was great. But the girl at the front desk was completely rude and unaccommodating, like I was bothering her by asking for a haircut. Her customer services were terrible! I took my seat and got a pretty good haircut. The haircut itself would be 5 stars. All of the stylists were women, which is fine, but theyre in there playing Beyonce, or something, and gossiping. I like the experience of going to a mens barber shop. This place missed. At my other place, its all dudes cutting hair, and they offer you a beer when you come through the door. Again, the haircut was good, but the experience...not so much.

I took my son there for the first time. He always gets a fade. The person who cut my sons hair left my son bald in a certain spot ti wherw it disnt grow back its been over a month. Now the store and corp are not helping me my son has been laughed at and picked on at school. This happen before picture day as well. So I put my name on the “list,” came back 35 minutes later and they tell me it is going to be another 25 because everyone is at lunch. Really, you send all your folks to lunch at the same time.
