Alex and Daves is great. I had a brake ABS light on and called up to ask when I could get the car seen for diagnosis and repair. Alex the Today and we will have repaired today, too! Well it was the wheel bearing and hub that have a ring that the sensor reads and it breaks down over time. They fixed itquickly and affordably. They also recommended to replace the rear brakes in a couple months, but with $1,000 in tires needed before winter, brakes are on hold for just for a bit. We will be back!

Took my vehicle in due to a noise under the hood that started while I was driving and the vehicle would “rev” whenever I tried to accelerate. Used the “drop off” option that they offer. While my vehicle was in their possession the catalytic converters were stolen (along with cats being stolen from several other vehicles in the parking area). My car had issues with the turbocharger (which was found at another location) but Alex and Dave’s won’t take any responsibility for the damage that occurred to my property in their possession. I can’t get insurance information and they are refusing to pay for the damages. Apparently they are willing to take care of other customer’s vehicles but not mine. And they have admitted that “catalytic converters get stolen in that neighborhood all of the time” but haven’t taken any precautions to protect their cameras (ie cameras or gated drop off or discontinuation of drop offs). Don’t trust them.

They were, obviously, busy with vehicles stacked. My small remodeling company relies on my truck. I explained this and they for me in. And, did a kick ace job! Thanks guys!

First time writing a review. Took my car in to get it fix with electrical problem. Two hours later I get a call its ready. Wow that was fast kool they fixit . I paid $225 i was ok with it. Like they fix. . Drove it out the shop it broke on me. I called them they said take back in. So I did now there saying my transmission is bad. Never again going to that place. I dont think there certified.

This review has been long overdue. When it comes to customer service, Alex and Dave know what it takes to run a quality, customer-oriented business. I took my car in last year for new sway bars, O2 sensor, and ... well, its been too long for me to remember everything off the top of my head. I might be a woman, but Im not completely clueless when it comes to cars, so I only take my car in to get fixed when I dont have the tools, the energy, or the arm length to fix it myself. After my first experience at Alex and Daves Auto Repair, Ive already had additional work done on my car at their shop and Id definitely recommend them to anyone looking for honest, good mechanics.Last year Alex quoted me a reasonable price for everything and the work was completed quickly. When I drove my car home, though, I heard noises that I hadnt heard before I took it into the shop. Without hesitation, Alex told me to bring it back in for his guys to check out. Long story short, I brought it back to their shop three times (my car drove well, but the noises were odd). Most mechanics probably would have gotten mad, but luckily, Alex and Dave stand by the quality of their workmanship and their customers satisfaction.Each time I brought my car back, Alex and Dave made sure it was thoroughly checked over so I didnt have to worry about my safety. That third time, Dave drove my car the night I dropped it off and the next morning (to listen to the engine warm and cold) before he checked the car out from front to back himself. When I picked my car up the next day, Dave took it out on the road with me so we could listen for the noises together. He essentially told me that my car was in surprisingly good condition given the year (totally not an insult lol) and explained what could be making the [totally benign] noises. He reassured me that he would be comfortable with his daughter driving my car and that he wouldnt send me away in a car that could leave me stranded somewhere in the middle of the night. Well, he was sincere, because the car has held up well, and like I said, Ive brought it back to their shop for other services since then. If you need your car repaired, take it to Alex and Daves.Bonus travel tip: After ordering a ride home from the auto shop through Uber or Lyft app, make sure you drag and drop your pin to the shops actual location for your ride to be able to find you easily. The apps oddly put your pin across the street, and with all those intersection traffic lights and Michigan U turns, youll wait forever for the drivers to find their way to you.

First time using Alex and Daves and would highly recommend! They definitely dont fall within the stereotype of mechanics ripping people off. My bushing fell off from my transmission to the trans shifter. Only charged me $55!!!! That included labor! Pretty amazing. Didnt try to charge me a bunch of extras either. Will absolutely use again if needed!

I love these guys. They will fix only what is needed, are HONEST, and will NOT try to take advantage of you. I was told by another company that I needed a whole new wheel just b/c a couple lug nuts fell off and needed to be replaced. I knew this was BS and took it to A & D to check that Monday. Not only did they concur that was all bogus and my wheel was fine, they put the tire back on since it was deemed broke by the previous company who put my spare on. Was going on vacation with the family pulling a trailer, and the morning before we left I noticed a leak in the brake line. Knowing little about cars, I called several places to look at it. Not only were they able to get me in quick, but it was a simple fix. They didnt try to sell me something I didnt need and didnt charge a high rate. I will definitely be going back for my auto needs.

These guys are awesome! My mom recommended them to me after having worked with them in the past, and all of their online reviews are great! Basically, I was in a pinch and needed a repair fast since Im about to leave on a big trip next weekend- with my car! Sadly, my car just past its 3-year warranty as of just a couple months back, and Belle Tire quoted me a whopping $450 to replace my oil sensor filter and give me an oil change (because you know, half of that should be labor, and a couple of rubber gaskets are gonna cost $140). Anyway, I swung my car by Alex and Daves without an appointment, we explained the situation and provided excellent customer service. I got my car back for a great price the next day! These guys are awesome, will work with you, have great experience, and will be honest and upfront about the repair and the cost! These are my new mechanics!

Went here after working a 12hr shift explained I was kinda in a hurry, they really took care of me. Treated me nice and were extremely fair with pricing. Old school kind of quality and pride in their work. Fast and very efficient by far the best auto company I have ever had a interaction with.

Took my car in for front axle seals. Got my car back the same day. Two months later, the axle seal was leaking again. Took it back, and Alex (the manager) told me that seals in general are not under warranty. Paid $350 yet again for his mistake. I planned a road trip with my family and took my car to the dealer before hand to get a simple safety inspection. Turns out the axle seal is STILL leaking and when the dealer got in and looked at the axle, parts were missing, along with damage to the half shaft. Costed me $1,170 at the dealer, plus the $700 that Alex charged me to not fix a thing. ($350 twice). Alex is dirty, and will take advantage of you if your not familiar with automobiles. Will never be back EVER.

Took my wifes car there because the check engine light came on. They found it was a transmission problem and advised I would have to take it to a transmission shop. The recommended a transmission shop and had the car sent over there. Even though I did not have a repair done there, the customer service was good and I would try them again if I need a repair done.
