We were on our way to move our 18 year old daughter to Wayne State when her Nissan Altima check engine light came on and started running very poorly. We live over 3 hours away and it was now 5:00 on a Thursday. We called Ryan’s and dealt with Pete and John. They told us to be there at 8 the next morning. They diagnosed and fixed the problem that day and my daughter was able to get her car while we were still with her. I wish we lived closer just so we could give these guys our regular business! Many thanks from a stressed-out momma (and dad) moving her baby across the state!

Took my vehicle in for a bare wire that was causing my vehicle to go into reduced power mode. I diagnosed the problem. Just needed a pigtail wired in. I was charged $375 to fix a wire I diagnosed. Did not bother to even put my van back together. Wont be back.

Good people. A few years ago they did some work on my vehicle that I couldnt do on my own with limited time. This past week they again solved a simple problem that I couldnt figure out on my own. Didnt charge sky high prices and was finished on time.

I cant remember the name of the technician I spoke to, but I was having issues with my town and country and instead of just blowing me off and telling me that they were really busy and wouldnt be able to get to my car for weeks and quote me some ridiculously high diagnosis fee, like four other repair shops told me before I called them, he asked me multiple questions to help me diagnose my problem and see if it was something that he needed to try and squeeze into the shop to fix or if it was something I might be able to do on my own. Luckily, I was able to fix the problem myself, But I know that I found the mechanic that Im going to bring everything else to from this point forward.

Guys were great. Very honest. Just need to leave car for a few hours so they have time to do a thorough job.

John at the counter is a smooth talker. He will talk you into jobs you really dont need done. I spent a lot of money and time that I didnt need to. After the first trip, they wanted me to make an appointment for the following week. I did so. Dropped off the car and had to get a rental from enterprise. Ryans had my car for two days. John calls me, and wants me to pick up my car. He then tells me that they havent had a chance to diagnose it because they been busy. After that he says that they wont be able to get back to the car until he comes back from vacation. So I spent $90 on a rental for nothing. That day I pick up the car, and I pointed out some issues where I wasnt happy with the job they did. And he says a comment to make it sound like they are doing me a favor. Then never returned my call to complete the job. After spending $700, I went down the street to Kurks auto care. They gave me a FREE loaner car, but couldnt determine the issue either. Then honestly said that the noise issue will have to get worse before they can figure out what the problem was. And that only cost me $50. Ill never be back to Ryans nor recommend them.

I brought my car to Ryans Auto 2 weeks ago. When I walked in the door I was greeted by a very nice and polite man. I told him I had a Volkswagon Beetle and it broke down on the side of the road, He asked me some questions and almost Immediately knew that it was the timing belt. He had my car towed directly over to the shop and it was ready for me to pick up in just 2 days! I was very happy with the service I got there and the prices. The quality of the work and the prices are better than anything I have ever seen in the area. I saved a lot of money and time going to Ryans and I just love the staff there. Everyone is nice and they really know what they are doing there, very professional. Needless to say I will be going there from now on for all repairs on my car.I also recommend them to all of my friends and family members. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for fast, friendly service and good prices! Jon is the best!

I dont write many reviews for businesses, but I feel obligated when I have an experience this pleasurable -- even surrounding the circumstances that I had to repair my car after a fender bender. I got multiple quotes around the Livonia area (many collision shops to visit), and Ryans auto repair came back with an estimate half that of the next best I received. Soon after I agreed to go with their services, we coordinated a time to drop off & pick up the vehicle. Everything went smoothly, and my car was finished exactly when they told me. The quality of work is also highly recommended, as now you cannot even tell the area of my bumper had been damaged. Jon was great at updating me on the progress and completing the job as I expected. Theres no need to even try other shops, head over to Ryans for any auto repair needs!

I absolutely love this shop! I dont trust many people with my car, but I definitely trust Ryans. My car hit a huge pot hole recently and caused a lot of damage, but the awesome mechanic at the Plymouth rd location made the whole experience not a nightmare! Ive always brought my car to them for oil changes, but they definitely have my business again if I have a bigger issue. So thankful to be able to take my car in and not feel like Im being ripped off. :)
