They are the worst of what you want to encounter in a business transaction. We dropped off a pristine 93 Cadillac. Two weeks later, we picked it up, not repaired and paint damaged.Denied it on the phone, totally rude and said wed see them in court. It was done intentionally. They should be shut down. Look at the other reviews. The one 🌟 are accurate.

Had a great experience having my 2005 Chevy Impala repaired at USA Transmissions in Livonia. It was LESS than I thought it would cost. This was the 1st time I ever had a transmission problem, but the manager Paul explained everything to me, put me into a 2 day car rental, and finished the work like he said he would. Im really pleased with their service, courteousness, and would recommend anyone taking their car to them.

Paul and Gary are Phenomenal they did excellent work after visiting two dealerships and 3 transmission places no one had a transmission dipstick for our truck. we had to buy one ourselves then we found them not only did they have a dipstick they were respectable and actually car about their customers and not all about money like the other places we visited No one noticed the leaking or even asked or that the car had no fluids. I highly recommend them we need more people like them.

I️ contacted USA transmission on 11-8 and had a in depth phone conversation with both Gary and Paul after which I️ managed to drive my work vehicle to there shop by closing of that day. I️ signed the work order and waited for the call on Wednesday for the official quote, satisfied with that gave the go ahead to repair. I️ am a flooring installer and my van is my bread and butter, I️ expressed that to Paul and he told me that he would pay his mechanic extra to stay late and get it done and back to me by Friday afternoon. Paul and his mechanic got it done. I️ am absolutely impressed and very happy with how this experience went . I️ will highly recommend anyone I️ know to go there .

UPDATE My transmission started acting up just out of the warranty period. Drove it back, they said they would take $400 off a complete rebuild price. Told them I would like to take it to another place. I drove it off the lot about 1 mile and it completely failed, had to tow it. Had a different company rebuild..Transmission was full of metal pieces.FULL DISCLOSURE>>>They pay you $50 for a google review.I had taken my car to other places and they all said I will need to rebuild it for thousands and it would take them a week to get to it and a week to work on it. I luckily stopped by here when I saw the sign. They listened to the noise and explained it could be just the torque converter. They could get it in, take it apart and call me. If it needs more they would let me know. Not only did they get me in right away (noon), they gave me a free ride home. They called around 3pm and told me it is out and it will need more than just a torque converter. The next day around 3:30pm they called and said it is done and ready to be picked up. That was over 3 months ago, everything is working great.....Highly recommend them.....fast.....courteous...price was under $2000 even with extra parts

I was driving my 05 Chevy Trailblazer. with my my kids/wife up north several weeks ago on a Saturday, when I started to have a problem with my transmission. Lt was about 12:00 noon and I called USA transmissions. Other shops I called were closed. They were nice enough to keep their shop open a little longer., checked my vehicle, got me into a free car rental through the the weekend, and had me back on the road Monday evening when I returned from my trip. I cant thank Paul enough for what he did for me and my family.Their price was very reasonable compared to other places I called, and their service was outstanding as well. They are not the nicest people to work with. First of all they allow you to believe that you know them and not once do they say you know what I dont recall working on your other vehicle or remember you no they let you believe whatever you want and play right along with ya until I told my husband no this is not the place or people that worked on our other vehicle then and only then did Paul say I see a lot of people. They also kinda force you into having them do the work cause if they dont work on car then you have to pay for them to look and tell you what they believe is wrong and tow if not drivable which totals 500$ 2 weeks before Christmas and the work is gonna be 2800$ WOW we say alright we want the car fixed just its a bad time right now with Christmas and not having 2800$ just hanging around this time of year with total of 6 kids to give to. So we asked for a little time and low and behold we get a call saying HEY YOUR CAR IS FIXED AND READY TO GO AND BY THE WAY WE PUT A LIEN ON YOUR CAR ALSO just a week before Christmas. Then we had daily phone calls and then a letter dated 12-16-2019 stating that they would hope they dont have to put a lien on the car unless necessary. Mind you that was the day the lien was placed on the car. This seems to be something they do to customers. They kinda made us feel like we were being bullied and they made us feel like we werent good enough to pay/have the money to pay. LOST MY BUSINESS

This shop took the time to explain to me the different issues i was having with my Mercury Sable and that it was just a simple repair. My o2 sensor had rubbed against the engine and blew my fuse.it cost me 200 dollars to fix it here where other places wanted thousands, so again i want to thank the guys at USA Transmissions.PS: if your looking for a trustworthy shop with kind and great customer service this would be the place to go.......

My daughters transmission went out on her while she was traveling away from home. As I had no dealings with the city she was in, I took to the internet and started reading about different car repair shops. While all information was a bit overwhelming, I came across the website for USA Transmissions located at the corner of Middlebelt and 8 mile Rd in Livonia Michigan. The website was so informative and even contained a video which allowed you to meet the people of the shop. The website also offered an amount off the quote if you mentioned you were on the website. I called and received immediate attention. They wasted no time going to pick up the car, and then examining it to see exactly what the problem was. The transmission was in need of replacing. After they confirmed with me, they began work on it and had it ready within 2 days. I was very happy with the professional atmosphere, the owner, and everyone involved. They were courteous and prompt. I would use them every time and will definitely recommend them to anyone! Please note, they also have a payment plan if you so desire.

I must share the absolutely wonderful, warm, professional and honest service I received from USA TRANSMISSION. On March 23rd I purchased a 2005 Grand Prix GT. I test drove it and it ran well. Of course the salesman said it was a great car. I drove all the way back to Detroit without any issues. About 2 days later I took it to get a tune up and oil change. After that day the car started driving horrible. It was jerking and cutting off. I took it back to where I got the oil change and they told me I needed a transmission. I took it to another mechanic and he said the same. I said to myself that if it is the trans then I would take it to a place that specializes in transmissions. Now Im 51 and I remember driving past USA Transmission plenty of times. I went in an spoke to Gary. Gary asked me to tell him exactly what was going on with my car. He sat and listened. He would not let me miss a detail and he also wrote down what I was saying. He told me all the things happening does not necessarily mean I need a trans. He said he would tow it to his shop, check it out completely and told me If it is not the transmission I will tell you. He called me later the same day and said ROXANNE, IT IS NOT YOUR TRANSMISSION, IT IS FINE. HE SAID IT WAS MY THROTTLE BODY/IDLE CONTROL... AND I KNOW A GOOD MECHANIC DOWN THE ROAD THAT I TRUST AND I CAN HAVE HIM FIX IT AND IT WILL BE READY TOMORROW. TOTAL COST $300. I was SOOOO HAPPY and said YES PLEASE DO WHATEVER YOU FEEL IT NEEDS! You can imagine my relief! He saved me hundreds and maybe thousands of dollars. This shop has INTEGRITY, MORALS and they make you feel like family:) In fact...in my heart They Are Family to me!! I will refer EVERYONE I know to USA TRANSMISSION. This is where to go for ANY transmission issues and you will feel like it was one of the best decisions you ever made in your life. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT USA TRANSMISSIONS:) GOD BLESS

They had great customer service. They were very honest, I had problems with my transmission and went over there. They could have charged me a lot of money to fix it. (I had gone somewhere else and got a quote for $800) I came here and they fixed the problem I was having in 5 minutes and did not charge me. All they had to do was put it on the computer and reprogram my transmission sensor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has transmission problems.

If I could rate a 0 that would be more appropriate. Called and explained that my 2005 Focus transmission went out and the vehicle was a few miles away but, would not move. Gentleman I spoke to said; NO problem we tow it for free for major repairs. Just drop your keys off in the box and we will look at it and call you with the details for repair. He did say however, that it would cost me $450 for them to look at it and let me know what was wrong. I explained it was an older car and if he thought that the fee to fix it would be greater than $2000 that I would have to consider not getting it fixed. He replied that he thought more than likely it would be about $1200. I got a call after they looked at it informing me that there were additional items that needed to be replaced that caused the transmission failure and the cost would exceed $2400. I informed him that I wasnt sure that we would be fixing this vehicle because its probably not even worth that much. It was at this time that he let me know that if I didnt get it repaired that I would have to pay an additional fee of almost $100 plus I would have to then pay the towing bill as well. NEVER (not once) in our conversations even when I mentioned that I may not fix it if the price were too high, was it even mentioned that I would have to pay more than the $450 I agreed to pay for them to look at it and tell me what was wrong. I have NO problem with the fact that there was more damage than what they originally thought and that the repairs would cost double what they thought it would. But I have a HUGE!!!! problem with being told after the fact that if I dont get it fixed ... it will not only cost the $450 we agreed to but an additional amount plus towing if I wish to get my car back. That in my opinion is HORRIBLE! It should be stated up front that if you choose not to get the repairs done at that time there will be additional fees.

I felt vulnerable taking my 2011 Jeep Cherokee for transmission work by myself. Im a woman and know very little about cars. But theses guys were great!! My truck didnt need a transmission - it had a major leak - fluids were 4 quarts low! USA Transmission took my truck to a shop that specialized in the repair needed to fix the source of the leak, picked the truck up, took it back to their shop to replenish the fluids, all while paying for me a 2-day rental car! Saved me about $2K!

I took my 2009 Camry here about 3 weeks ago, right away Gary introduced himself to me and gave me some background on his company. That right there stood out the most to me because I called several different companies and no one as done anything like that. The also towed my vehicle for free, and offered me a free rental. He only took about 3 days to work on my car, and offered the lowest price compared to everyone else I called. Gary and Paul both took the time to talk to my father and myself, and gave us a little insight on transmissions, and how to avoid the problem that I had endured. I truly appreciate them and the work that they have done, and its safe to say that three weeks later my car drives perfectly fine. Thanks Guys.

They did a bait and switch like some of the other reviews described. But I *won* my money back in court, because it is illegal for an auto shop to charge $20 or more for any work without a *prior written estimate*, according to the Motor Vehicle Services and Repair Act, MCL 257.1332, Sec. 12. I brought a copy of the relevant section of the law into court, the judge read it, and ruled in my favor. They gave an estimate of $1100 to $1500 over the phone, and then after tearing the transmission down, they jacked the estimate up to $1800-$1900 for a used transmission to $2300 for a rebuild. Not wanting to give them any more money for this bait-and-switch, I had the vehicle towed to a trustworthy shop, but they made me pay $450 in cash for the teardown to get the vehicle out. Turns out I could have simply demanded they release the vehicle without paying a dime and saved lots of headache and time! Interestingly enough, had they given an honest quote straight away, I may have had them do the repair.Live and learn. Now I wonder why an auto repair shop doesnt *insist* upon providing a prior written estimate. I hope this outfit does going forward.

Gary and the mechanic there are CROOKS. These reviews on google have to be fake. Go to YP and read those reviews, theyre all 1 stars...just do your homework before making any big decisions on a transmission or else youll be taken advantage of like I was.I was told by Gary that the Trans replacement would be for NO MORE than 2k WORSE CASE and that i was getting ripped off at another shop for getting charged 3k. He paid for the tow truck to get my car and then the mechanic quoted me $3500 after they took it apart. Even the mechanic said that Gary is known to bait and switch price. Best part- They screwed up the replacement trans and I spent even more money to get it repaired.I was mislead and they admitted to it. Good luck and just be mindful of these stories you read.

They were soooo I left it and within 1 he to get it mechanic couldnt do it....soooo went back to get it was still on the hoist. I was waiting and heard the mechanic flipping out. After waiting about 30 minutes finally came down from the hoist. The mechanic said oh just a a tight bolt ?????. Took it back to where it was properly fixed. The mechanic there without me telling him about USA said looks like someone tried to look into fixing it and put the bolt back in wrong soooo that cost me extra to fix that. I knew something was wrong when he was yelling just a quarter inch off noooo so I am disappointed and would not recomend them for a foreign car even when they assure you they can repair it !!!!
