He explained every thing to me in terms I could understand and made sure the thermostat regulated and everything was working great before leaving! Our AC myseriously stopped working and I called three companies to see if I can get service. Of the three Cappy got back to me quickly and we had set up a time. I was called later that day and was told due to a cancellation they could get out to my house the next day. Justin came out and was very fast and professional. He actually took the time to give me some tips I can do myself in order to keep my AC in order. Justin was on time when he called me he said he would be out between 8:00am and 9:00am and sure enough he was here at 8:15. I have an older AC system and when the time comes for me to get a new system I know where I am going to get it right here at Cappy.

These guys were top notch when it came to customer service. They were here right on time, wore masks and put on shoe covers to enter our home. I personally know very little about HVAC so they could have told me about anything. But, in they were very honest. Squirrels had done some repairable damage to the outside unit. They went over every detail of the bill and what could be expected at their next visit. They seemed to enjoy what they do and that reflected in our experience. I would suggest Cappy to anyone who is in need.

I’m pretty excited about the switch that we made to Cappy. We were fortunate to get them on site with an hours of having an issue with our HVAC system, and repairs were made same day. In addition we decided to do the annual maintenance plan which unfortunately has it been done on a regular basis in the past. I’m excited to work with these folks and I found them extremely knowledgeable.

Each time, they’ve been prompt, explained in simple detail what was needed, and ensured that I was going to pay for anything I didn’t need. The technician I’ve seen the most is named Justin. He’s been as solid as any HVAC professional I’ve ever encountered. I’ll only use Cappy to address any HVAC issue or preventative maintenance needs I will have in the future. Stellar business.

On 7/3/21 we came back from vacation and our six year old Trane air conditioning unit was not working. We called Cappys Heating and Air Conditioning to review and fix the unit. The repair man from Cappys stopped by and it took him two hours to figure out what the problem was on our unit. He made multiple calls to other people because he could not figure out the problem. Finally he stated the the air conditioning blower motor was burned out. He charged us $387.50 for a diagnosis. I called the office and complained about the excessive charge for taking two hours to diagnosis the problem and not repairing the unit. The office did take off $112.50, so the total charges ended up being $275 for nothing. I was not happy. A few days later I called Harriman Heating & Air Conditioning who originally installed the unit. Their repairman John made the correct diagnosis in fifteen minutes, went and picked up a new blower motor and installed it in an hour. The blower motor was still under warranty and Harriman charged us $175 for labor. I will not use Cappys in the future because their repairman was extremely slow in his diagnosis skills and did not fix the unit. I felt scammed on being charged alot with no results.

We just suffered a weekend in the 90s without air conditioning. Im a new home owner and am just learning about basic HVAC maintenance. I called a couple of places to schedule an appt and they were 2 weeks out at best. Cappys team gave me great advice over the phone that ended up solving my issue for under $10! Just some blown fuses outside. Saved me the cost of a service call! I am so elated to have help from empathetic people for urgent issues rather than someone just trying to make a profit. We have an aging geothermal system installed by a company that is no longer in business. Our compressor went out and Justin and Amy were able to find a replacement compressor, install it and have us up and running again. Justins knowledge of the system and what was needed was very good. He not only replaced the compressor but also added a soft start to avoid future failures. System is working better than it was new. Very professional.

Everything went great initially, we knew from other techs that had come out the inducer motor needed to be placed, decided to go with Cappy due to Jennifer and Justin’s genuineness and helpfulness in getting everything figured out for us. Really appreciated Jennifer’s efforts in trying to get things fixed ASAP as we had no heat with small children in the house. However, it’s been over a month since a temporary part was put in (was told it’d be replaced within a week) and we have yet been able to get in contact with anyone at Cappy. Meanwhile, there is red liquid dripping out of the tubes on the temporary part and pressure switches are just hanging out of the unit...Update: got ahold of someone at the office who apologized and explained the delay in shipment. Had a tech come out the next day and fixed everything.

My water heater was only 1.5 years old when it stopped working. I was really frustrated because I had issues with the company that installed it; they had been subcontracted as part of a bigger project being done on my home. I decided to call Cappy instead. Not only did they make sure the manufacturer honored the warranty so I wouldnt have to pay for the replacement tank, they also made arrangements with my original contractor to cover the cost of labor. Amy in particular was really fantastic. She went above and beyond so that the appointment was scheduled ASAP.

Cappy Heating & Air Conditioning has been a lifesaver. I will save you all the dirty details, but when the geothermal system that came with our house died, not only did Cappy recommend we remove it and replace it with a conventional furnace and central air - rather than continuing to dump money into a system that Im not sure EVER worked effectively - they also helped me navigate some major issues with our city where geothermal is considered a utility. Cappy saved us THOUSANDS of dollars with their knowledge and expertise of their service department and specifically Amy. My air conditioning went out after a July weekend storm. I called on Monday and the next day they had a crew out that diagnosed that the condenser was bad. They were able to get the hard to find part and make room in their schedule for it to be installed in a couple more days. I dint think any other company could have fixed it that quick during this time of year. The price was very reasonable and they were able to get my parts warrantied. Called on a Sunday and was given directions to attempt to remedy the situation regarding our air conditioning unit. Jennifer gave us things to try before scheduling a service call. It worked to a limited degree (no pun intended), but we were able to get a tech, Carl, the very same day. He gave us all our options and then proceeded to fix the problem. Our furnace and ac unit are old, but today we are enjoying a cool home. When we decide to replace those units, we are going to choose Cappy Heating.

Had unit installed 5 years ago to replace a unit that was not as energy efficient. ( still worked great ) New unit worked great first two years but had a warranty issue which was covered by manufacturer at time. This spring Ac unit would not work tech came out for 300 dollars to give my wife an education on our lack filter changing was the issue ( which I do ). Called next morning to advise it has been changed and yes it still does not work, why you would not test system before you leave is beyond me. The following day same tech came out to look at unit again and found the issue which was internal and made necessary repairs needed ( unit works great ). Today switch unit on to heat house will not heat at all ( 6 months later ). Just overall disappointed and now I will write another check to repair my five year old unit.

Probably the BEST customer service experience Ive ever had: My air conditioner just suddenly stopped cooling just as we were getting 90 degree temps! Jennifer helped me first by getting me scheduled for a service call the same day I called when other companies couldnt get to me for 10 days. I needed a part for my unit - so then Amy jumped in getting me the part asap - even with the holiday coming up. Both Jennifer and Amy kept in contact with me - they called me - I didnt have to call on the progress of service calls or parts being delivered. The service technicians I had were also wonderful - they showed up during their scheduled time; called me to tell me they were on their way; and very respectful of my property to not dirty my floors or home. I would definitely use this company again - and have already told many of my neighbors and friends of the GREAT experience I had.

We had no heat when we got up yesterday. Our technician, Justin Lang immediately determined it was a thermostat issue. He had to go pick-up the recommended product, came back and made the installation. He took all the time we needed to learn how to use the new WiFi thermostat (Ecobee 5). My furnace was working just fine but figured I should have it checked out and they did the install. They found my blower motor needed to be replaced which was under warranty but now my DE humidifier pump is going out. And they came out to check it charged me a $117 just to look at it and say it needed to be replaced. I dont believe in quincidence Ive had absolutely 0 issues till they come out. I have them come out to do the check up. And now Im having issues with my furnace. Draw your own conclusions but they will never touch my furnace again.

It is after hours on a friday, and my gas furnace air blower is not turning on. I ended up calling Cappys Heating and Air. I got lucky and spoke to Jennifer. Based on her knowledge of the issue, the system was not getting proper air flow. Her instructions on restarting the furnace and blower worked liked a charm, the heating system is working normal again. This type of help is how you get and keep happy customers. I will definitely use Cappys Heating and Air conditioning services in the future.

Ive used Cappy twice now, and both experiences were great. First, when my blower motor controller stopped working in the middle of a heat wave, they squeezed me in on a weekend, and at least got things running again (decided to replace the furnace a few weeks later rather than sink a lot of money into an old system). Second time was when my mother was coming back home from AZ in the middle of winter, and her furnace stopped working (52º in the house). Their 24hr emergency number called us back in about 10 minutes, and helped us get things working that night!

Had a furnace and high efficiency on-demand hot water heater installed after both were destroyed by the recent flooding. Cappy Heating and Cooling was very professional. They gave a decent estimate with a small window between the estimate and installation which was perfect. Within 2 days the hot water was flowing perfectly. The furnace hasnt been tried by me but it will soon be fired up. The clean up was done completely by the workers. When additional parts were needed, someone from the company immediately drove them to the site. All was completed in one day, hassle free and glitch free. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional, useless, company in my life. First, they claimed they couldnt contact me back because my phone doesnt allow blocked calls ...well, thats a lie. My roommate and I tested it after sitting for an hour on the phone with AT&T trying to figure out why I couldnt receive the call. Then when I made contact through the answering service, Jennifer told me to take my filter out, shut down the furnace for 30min and then turn it back on without the filter in it. Then she said she would call back in an hour and a half....guess what? 3 hours pass, and NO CALL. So, I call back. They said that they would put the call through again. But, yet again, NO CALL...called back to give them my roommates # to see if that would work, still my roommate had to call back 3 times. Finally when she made contact, the same lady answered and gave her the same run through as me. My roommate explained that we just want someone to come out and the lady started challenging her about it, yelled at my roommate and then ended the call. Needless to say I was willing to pay, willing to listen, wasted my whole day, and my house is still 85° because of their arrogance and terrible customer service skills.

If i could give 100 stars i would. My furnace was not working at all while we had temperatures in the single diggets. Amy Randall took the time to walk me step by step over the phone (for free) to trouble shoot the problem. She was absolutely amazing. I called today, Sunday and quickly received a call back from Jennifer. She walked me though the problem, and even called me back a second time to continue the process.We determined that the problem is most likely a limit switch that I believe I can replace myself. She didnt try to talk me out of it which was refreshing. So I an going to call Cappy tomorrow morning and hopefully they have the part. If I do have a problem with the repair, I know that I will be calling Cappy Heating & Air Conditioning to fix it for me.Thanks Jennifer. Enjoyed our conversation!

5am xmas morning it was cold in the house,called Cappy. Jennifer called back and told me what to do,didnt work. Carl called and after sending him pictures and my son and I wiggling things we had heat!!! Amazing service,they wanted to try everything before I had to pay. Will definitely call them again

Awful customer service! The dispatcher was pleasant enough, although it took a couple of calls from me to get a call back from a tech. I would like to think that I just caught Jennifer (tech) on a REALLY bad day because I was horrified by the way I was talked down to; going as far as raising her voice at me. She had an attitude throughout the entire phone call, especially when I let her know that I had been through the basics already and would like a tech to come out, not try to diagnose through a phone call because this had already been done without success . I cannot judge on how well they get the job done because I will not be using their services after that nightmare of a phone call!

I screwed up our thirty plus year old air conditioner trying to defrost an ice buildup on one of the hottest days of the year and just before going out of town on a two week vacation. I called several companies and settled on Cappy’s. Instead of running into an answering service, they had a retired technician answering the phone after hours. Rather than hearing how my “call was very important to them,” she took a fair amount of time helping me do some damage mitigation.They had a tech out for an evaluation promptly and they helped me do a temporary repair so that my pet was ok while I was gone. When I returned from vacation, they managed to accelerate the installation date, discussed honestly the pros and cons of a replacement versus a repair. Given the age of my system and the fact that it had not been doing a great job of cooling the house before I messed things up, we opted for a replacement.They didn’t try to upsell me, gave me an honest estimate, completed the job earlier than projected, did not leave a mess, and it easily passed inspection. Calls were promptly returned. My wife stopped by their office twice and was impressed with their office staff as well.2021 Update: We arrived home in 92 degree whether to find that our compressor was no longer functioning. My wife called and they managed to squeeze us in the same day. A part had blown but was still covered by warranty (parts only). The service fee was modest and they had us up and running. The service tech also showed us a couple of things to make our system work better for the future.Once again, they saved our bacon!!

Jennifer tried her best to help me over the phone to fix the problem but unfortunately we were not reaolve the problem. When I told her the brand of furnace I have, she explained that they do not have the parts to fix my furnace over the weekend. She recommanded someone, but unfortunately the number for the person she recommended is no longer in service, which is not her fault or Cappys fault. Excellant customer service.

Our ac stopped working today and Cappy called us back immediately to talk us through fixing it. We spoke to a woman named Jennifer who told us what things we needed without charging us which we greatly appreciate because everything on our house seems to be breaking now that its the hot summer months.
