I have been a resident of Emerson Place and have found the management to be wonderful. They are responsive to any request and go out of their way to take care of any issue you might have. This is one of the more expensive apartment communities in the area - but I found that it was totally worth it.I have to wonder if the other review that was negative was from another apartment community or an actual resident. I would recommend this location to everyone.

Like living in a stuffy airtight box.First, I want to say that the management at Emerson Place is absolutely lovely! They are accomidating, personable and maintenance is always taken care of.With very limited options in the area I found these were the only apartments with a washer/dryer and room to move around.My biggest complain is lack of fresh air due to the design of the building. There are no balconies and interior hallways which allows for no cross breeze. In addition, the curve of the buildings creats a pocket for air so even when you open the windows there is never air flowing. I very rarely was able to enjoy the fresh air which is why I moved to the area. In the winter the place is so hot from the heated garage and building insulation that I never turned the heat on. I would even crack a window most of the time when it was 15 degrees out, hoping to get some relief.The dumpster and recycling are also in the worst place in the parking lot. Basically spread out long ways so that the entire building has to hear everyone dumping their trash. Instead of tucked in the back where only a limited amount of apartments are the unlucky ones.If youre coming for fresh air and peace and quiet this is not the place.

Larger than average apartments in a good location. Unfortunately, a little too expensive IMO.The good points are: Location, quality of facility, very kind staff members, & garage space. Close services such as food, shopping, rail trail, & CCBA. Easy commute to DHMC, Dartmouth, or Hypertherm. Great for couples or room mates.Bad points: Cost, trash & recycling bins are frequently full/over flowing, one year they tried to raise everyones rent by $50 a month with an unwanted & non-optional trash pick up at your door service which was sketchy. It never happened but it was attempted. First few years we were there the fire alarms were set off at late hours due to people smoking in the hallways. Once the cameras were installed that stopped. Added monthly cost for a view of the local baseball field.Over our 4 year experience living there it was mostly very nice. If there is a good fit to what the tenant is looking for this could be a great temporary place to live while working at DHMC or attending Dartmouth.

Very pricy but nice place to live. Great location right downtown.
