I was pleasantly surprised when I went there. The experiences with large chain places were not great in the past.Not only was scheduling easy, but the staff was very friendly and my haircut was great! The ...what...hair dresser...barber... Hair artist...I dont know what to call them nowadays, anyway she was very attentive, listened, and I got the haircut I wanted. They do so much more than haircuts but I didnt know this. I do have to say the shampoo experience was fantastic! I recommend G.O.A.T.

This place and Elana was amazing. Drinks and snacks offered when you get in. I can not say enough how great Elana was. She did everything to make it a wonderful experience. You feel like family as soon as you walk in. This is an amazing place and I will recommend this to anyone. Pampering for guys is what they offer. Ill be taking my cuts and shaves there from now on.

Aldin in Layton is the man! He is so good with my son. He always remembers him and how he likes his hair cut. He takes the time to talk with him and get to know him. They even came up with their own handshake. Before finding Aldin, my son used to dread getting his hair cut. Now he’s asking when he can go again. Not only are his hair cutting skills top notch, Aldin really goes above and beyond with his clientele. You have a customer for life!

First time going to a full-service barber shop. I got the Chairman and it didnt disappoint. Aldin did a fantastic job with a mid-fade cut and hes a good conversionalist.Im thinning out on top very noticeably. I had a crude comb over and wanted to simply embrace the balding instead of trying to hide it. He used texturing scissors to thin out some areas to make the contrast less drastic and blend for a better look. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐First time getting nose, ears, brows waxing services, didnt hurt that much at all and I really like the results. First time getting a straight razor shave and it inspired me to order a Parker SRX Shavette for shaving at home.Ill be coming back here for sure.

Just got the GOAT cut today! Jessica was awesome and really just loved the atmosphere of the place as a whole. It feels like a male salon and they offer so many different services that no where else has! Definitely would go back!

Elena is probably the best barber in the valley! I have been to a lot of barbers in my life. Particularly as a DOD employee. I have never had such a great experience as I do here. The compliments I get for always having a perfect appearance professionally in my job has really increased my quality of life at work! She is awesome, friendly always takes time to ask how you are and makes sure you are getting the best quality service you want. I couldnt ask for more. She made me a regular customer and a member and I havent looked elsewhere. Which is a first for me because I tend to barber hop! She knows how my hair needs to be done everytime and the service feels personable. Yall have an above and beyond employee!

Bad experience here. My first two times I had to get my haircut corrected. Hard to get a walk in appointment. The best stylists are completely booked several days out. Reached out to management by e-mail and didn’t get a follow up.

Needed a haircut so i decided to try them out. The place is clean and has a great environment. Lots of large TVs playing sports and what not. They even have a fountain drink machine but I dont know if that was for customers as well or just the staff Im guessing its free for everyone there so thats pretty cool. The reason why Im only giving it 3 stars is because I literally have never left a place with so much hair on my face, neck, and clothes. They also didnt do a great job around my neck i had to have my wife fish that before i showered to get all the hair off me. Its in the little details that they could train their staff to truly give a GOAT haircut and experience. Staff was friendly. Maybe would try again?

This is the second time since opening I have brought my son in. They are very friendly and professional. The quality of service definitely aligns with the price point. I tried to call multiple times to schedule an appointment, no one answered. I decided to try and press my luck with a walk-in and the front counter lady was completely checked out and pretty rude. They couldnt fit me in which is totally fine, I figured when they couldnt pick up the phone they wouldnt have space. The place looked super nice. Im sure they do a good job but my one experience sucked.

They got so many options youre bound to find one that fits exactly what you need. I have been to G.O.A.T. haircuts a few times now (probably about 4-5) and have always been satisfied with the results knowing it is a chain barbershop and you won’t get top tier at the price. However, the last two times—and even more so this time at the Layton location—the hairdressers have always cut my hair in a rushed manner which makes me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a customer/client.I haven’t scheduled my appointment late enough to warrant such perceived behavior and have been respectful when interacting with them. However, it stills happens and I don’t think I am taking crazy pills as you can tell by how they press the machine against your head. Consequently, the times the hairdresser’s cutting and styling has been rushed the results have been subpar.Overall, G.O.A.T. haircut is a chain so the service you get can be great or bad depending on the hairdresser.

There is nothing I like more than a great straight blade shave on my face and back hair line and Stephanie H does it better than anyone I know. Besides my wife (who is hair stylist) there isn’t anyone one else I trust to take care of my styling needs. If she is running GOAT then I have no doubt this is the best place in the area.

New to the area and seen this in the plaza I was already in. Everyone genuinely seemed to like being there. Sweet soda machine in the lobby as well. I never know what specs to get when they ask me what type of cut I want. Amanda was able to give me a cut based on her 18 years of experience that would look best with my head shape and body type. I ended up leaving with a 1 year plan and it is totally worth it.

My barber Maddy did such a great job on my haircut. This was my first time in and the place felt very clean and comfortable. I would definitely come back and I’d recommend it to anyone!!

I made an appointment for my 3 1/2 year old Grandson to get his hair cut. He has been going to a Barbershop to get a fade since he was two. Unfortunately our usual Barber was booked so I decided to try G.O.A.T just to get him in as his hair was getting pretty long. I called the evening before his appointment to confirm that there would not be any issue with his age and I was assured that all stylist at the Layton location did not have any issue with younger children. On the day of his appointment my Daughter ended up taking my Grandson instead of myself. My daughter came home so upset because my Grandson did not get a fade or the line cut in and when she told the stylist that he needed a 2 for winter, the stylist just used a comb with no guard on the clippers. My Daughter also told me that the stylist seemed pretty annoyed that she had to cut my Grandsons hair. In my opinion if a stylist feels uncomfortable cutting a younger childs hair then they should say so and let someone else do the job, simple right. Because of the stylist unprofessionalism and skill, my Grandson has an uneven cut. The right side of his head is blotchy, the fade does not blend in and the cut is also uneven on the left (I understand that children are wiggly, however it is nothing that a bit of patience can not handle). Without the cut in, his hair does not comb over. Instead, it is cut shorter on the top then the right side so my Grandsons hair just falls to the center unevenly. My daughter said that she was so frustrated with the stylist that she wanted to get out of there and that she did not have the stylist fix the cut in addition to the fear of the cut getting worse. When I asked my Daughter for the stylist name, she said that the stylist did not introduce herself as she was annoyed about my Grandson. My daughter said that the stylist was short with long black hair (It would be nice if the stylists name was printed on the receipt). I told my Daughter that she should have asked for another stylist to make it right, however my Daughter is on the shyer side so she did not. Needless to say, we will be making another appointment with our regular Barber to correct the bad cut and will not be returning to G.O.A.T. We will stick with our regular Barber no matter how long he is booked out, lesson learned and out $18. Oh, you also pay for a wash even if it is not received. I would have given one star however, when I called to ask about my Grandsons age, the woman who answered the phone was very nice and booking an appointment online was super easy. But at the end of the day, I do not recommend G.O.A.T for younger children and would not recommend to my adult son.
