Very smooth process of getting my vehicle which i had reserved and paid for online. The lady behind the counter was very polite, informative and pleasant to talk to. Vehicle was exactly what i had paid for, ran smooth and was super clean. Returning the vehicle was also hassle free and smooth. Will definitely be renting here again.
Used masks left in the last two cars, food in the console, trash under the seat and one wreaking of smoke… Tired of the basic we do everything to clean, protect, sanitize every car when it comes in.Yeah, they always claim safety and tout customer service…How about handing back my radar detector and traffic camera?The unorganized line taking too long to check in and no direction as completely understaffed and BSM- rushed and left it in the case in the glove compartment. Wow! There went $650.Called and called and emailed and got sad um yeah- okays from local supervisor and corporate though claiming to have cameras on rental areas and a hefty lost and found as it’s common to leave things in cars.Filled out their form and tirelessly called daily and they agreed maybe they missed something so they would call the renter.C’mon… Lies!- Either you’re lying about cleaning the cars (which you are)- Or you lied about nobody finding it. (It has GPS ya know so…)Our team is done with National. We’re not going to expect folks to rent cars, during this time, with dirty masks in them and leftover food.Big loss for National. I don’t know who’s better, but they’ll enjoy the business.
Originally, we thought we had a car reserved ar Budget. The Budget counter was closed at 2:00 pm and were redirected to the Dollar counter. After waiting in line for better than an hour, to find they had no reservation and no cars available to rent. The agent gave our number phone number to another place. When the called with pricing for the same class of car, it was twice the price. We walk up to the National counter, no line, rented the same class of car, for LESS money. Upon leaving the terminal, Lisa, gave us some great information on our travels and what they look for, as far as damage. Will definitely use this company in the future. Thank you!

Huge line. Wanted over $100 to add a 2nd driver. Then didnt have the vehicle we reserved and had to get a different one.
Reserving a car was simple, picking the car up was simple, returning the car was simple. Price was much cheaper than all the other rental services as well! Overall great experience, will be using National again anytime I can for rental cars based off this experience. The car was also super clean upon pickup, interior and exterior.
Emerald Club is the best! In and out of there in less than 10 mins once we landed. Only difficulty lies in the distance of the car rental center from the airport.

Being an Emerald club member, Reserving the car was easy, picking it up was a delay, somehow my cc and account name was all a mess, however Renita fixed everything. Brought the car back 3 hours sooner than the return time, the customer service rep at the desk adjusted accordingly. The drop off was without error.
DO NOT RENT HERE. The initial quote that they gave me had $0 in per mile costs, and the final bill had $600 in per mile costs. I picked up the car and returned the car from the locations and on the dates that I originally told them, yet they still charged me extra. I had to fight with them for weeks to give me back the $600 extra that they charged me. I have never run into this problem with Budget, Hertz, or Avis... so look at alternatives here. I also paid for a larger SUV than they gave me, as they were out of cars.

5 stars because I recieved a vehicle i wasnt comfortable driving. I returned it within 48 hours and as an apology to me for the discomfort, National upgraded me, at no charge, to a convertible V8 camaro SS. I couldnt be happier with them. They really take care of me, especially with being away from my family for months for work. I suggest National for every rental. There is noone better to rent a car from. They really care about the safety and comfort of their customers.

Pretty good! I love how close the vehicles are to the counter. The only problem I would state as an issue is the lack of vehicle selection at the Las Vegas, NV. location. Makes it more difficult to utilize your Emerald Executive Elite Status.
If you are doing any canyon hiking or walking thru State parks or mountains- Get the Jeep or Jeep Rubicon! You wont be disappointed.

Car was very comfortable and the family enjoyed the break - the car made all the difference as we explored the Grand Canyon. Not a single complaint out of the kids on the long drives. The team at National were super helpful and friendly. When the first car we got in smelled of smoke, the gentleman at the counter did not skip a beat and switched it out for another. All round very pleasant experience. Will continue using National and would most definitely recommend them.
I love the convenience of National and being a Emerald Member. I paid for a full size vehicle and was pretty upset when we got to the airport and there was nothing good to select from. I had flown my family out to Vegas for the week and was really looking forward to some good options my kids could choose something cool for us to drive around town. We ended up getting a Ford Escape because there was hardly anything to choose from. Other than the poor selection this go around, everything else was wonderful, easy and convenient.
National is my go to rental car agency. Their cars are always clean, the selection of vehicles most days are Really good. As an executive elite member I want a car I would consider purchasing so this is my unofficial test drive.When I’ve had issues (no one, no company or organization is perfect) National does there ultimate best to make it right and make me happy. Los Angeles and Nashville have the friendliest, warm and caring people I’ve worked with so far when picking up and dropping off a rental. This pandemic has required little to no travel for me professionally as with most people but when and if those travel levels return I will be happy to return my business to National!
Emerald aisle at the Las Vegas airport was the worst experience I ever seen. They had 2 cars and both were compact cars. Emerald aisle is supposed to be minimum full sized or better. When said something to the 3 girls one of them replied with “it is what it is”Now the executive emerald aisle was fully stocked along with other rows.I waited for about 5 mins to see if they would fill the holes. Nope they were waiting for people to come and kept 2 cars at time.Now the girl at the checkout counter was amazing she was 5 star worthy. She was super fun and bubbly. Very helpful and provided tons of useful information.
We had a reservation with national and we were waiting awhile. Until, this nice manager by the name of Kealani helped with an upgraded vehicle for waiting a while for free! I dont know if this is comon practice. But, I really appreciate Kealani for recognizing that were there waiting there for while and taking care of her customers!Pls check out national car rental for all your rental needs and see Kealani if you are in the Vegas area!!

This was first experience with National in a while and I must say I am very pleased. The car was in the front row, it was clean and full of gas. My coworker and I had our travel bags and some work equipment and the car was the perfect size for what we needed. Returning the car was just as smooth as picking it up. I will definitely rent from National in the near future.

They say they are open 24 hours got in at midnight and they are closed we had reservations for a car and called to make sure they would be open but they aren’t we called customer support and they said they are open but they aren’t security said that they tell everyone that they are open 24 hours even though they close at 10pm would not recommend coming to las Vegas to the national car rental.
Great rate and was able to walk in, pick a car, and check out all within 15 min. No other place like national, I have used them over a dozen times already and I am always happy. Thank you!
I love using National! Being part of the Emerald Club is great as I get to skip the lines and go pick a car. This last trip they even let me choose one from the executive side if I wanted since most of the cars were taken and not a lot to choose from on the Emerald Isle. Since worked out very nicely as we got to drive a Dodge Challenger, with the HEMI I might add. It was my wife and I, and our ten year wedding anniversary so it made it that much more fun. National is always my first choice when traveling for personal trips. I just wish my work would go back to using them instead of the other car rental company they started using. National is the best choice!
Very easy to pick up the car. It was very gas efficient and of course, it was very clean. The drop-off was great too, done after hours where we just need to drop the keys in the locker. Received the receipt by email a few hours later. Great service!

Definitely worth being an Emerald Club member if you rent cars often. Lots of perks and extra included with your rental. You always get better deals than with the competing rental car companys. I always book the Emerald Aisle price because I love having my pick of cars. Employees are always so friendly. The picking up/dropping off process is always less than 10 minutes for me. Overall, just very fast and efficient!
I can’t say enough about National Car rental. I travel extensively and I have never had a bad experience. I love being able to choose which ever car I like at most locations and every employee I have encountered has been friendly and professional. Five stars!
I love National. Due to work travel, I spend about half of a year in one of their vehicles. I am always sad when I am sent to a location that I have to rent from another vendor, because no one has it setup in the fashion that National has it-- allowing you to pick cars based on membership levels. The staff is always accommodating and treat me well. Im a fan!

They didnt have my premium truck we reserved and paid for. They had to borrow one I guess. The steering wheel was gross and sticky. No 4x4. Was not sanitized after the guy drove it up to us, which I dont care but if your going to make me wear a mask, the follow all the procceders, clean the steering wheel or at least get the gunk off the steering wheel.The guy at the counter wasnt too pleasant, but not rude or anything like that. Maybe a bad day. We all have those.Thank you for your reply national, but I have no interest in investing more time into this. Plus, how can you help? I rented, I returned, its over.

I have been using National for years. the experience is always consistent and pleasant. The Emerald Club Isle speeds things up considerably, and nearly everywhere I go there are a variety of vehicles to choose from. When picking up a vehicle, or when returning one, the interaction is polite, and it is quick. It really seems to be the most convenient and consistent experience when renting a car. Even overseas recently it was a similar experience. Various upgraded vehicles available in the Emerald Club isle, at no extra charge. And the employees were extremely friendly.

I book online or on my app, proceed to the lot to select my car, stop at the checkout booth and I am on my way! I was even more excited to learn of their new mobile checkout feature on their app...this makes my rental experience even faster and I look forward to trying it out on my next rental in a few weeks. Previously used another name brand rental company, but the service there has gotten bad so needed a change. National was recommended by a friend. First experience was great! Will be back.
The staff were very helpful. They made it really easy to show up and use Emerald Aisle (which I guess is already a pretty self-service arrangement). During the course of our trip, we found a huge bolt/washer in our passenger-side rear tire. We drove by to ask them to address it, worried about how long it was going to take, how easy it would be to get into another ride, etc. Voila! We were in/out in under ten minutes, in a car similar to the one we had originally.We did have a problem with initial checkout. I dont have a credit card, but only a debit card (which, according to my bank, can be processed in an identical manner as a credit card, depending on the cashiers selections during processing). She refused to accept the card, stating that only major credit cards would be accepted (it was a Visa)... Sadly, we couldnt communicate it to the lady, and my partner wound up having to cough up his own card for us to be able to proceed on with our vacation. This was also nearly a problem, as well, as we wouldnt have been able to proceed if the card hadnt been in my name. Luckily, wed thought ahead, and added my partner as a second driver on the rental when we reserved it online (where we also entered a credit card to reserve it, which was that same Visa debit card, no trouble at all). Because his name was on the agreement, we were lucky, and able to go on.Overall, other than checkout experience, 5 stars for sure. Just wish they would have understood that a Visa-branded debit card can accept a pre-auth hold like a credit card can...

I rented a car with this company and will never do so again. The car I wanted was out and they were to get some in the next morning. I was told to get a car and they will swap it out the next day. I did just that come in the next day got the car I wanted but, was not allowed to leave. This was at 3am in Las Vegas. I had to wait until 5am for a manager. That manager told me I would have to wait till 8am to speak to another. I then took a Lyft to my resort. Nobody ever tried to fix the issue or give me my money back.
I am satisfied with my first experience of business with National Car Rental in LV. I am an executive member (from CSR card benefit). I booked a standard size car but ended up with a nice SUV without extra penny out of my pocket. The agent at front desk is very friendly. But make sure you have the confirmation details when you go to pick up a car because the agent gave me a wrong price in the first place (fortunately I had the original confirmation letter on my hand, and he quickly fixed the mistake). I would highly recommend to rent a SUV or higher level of car if you are going to travel through the Grand Canyon.
We picked the car up in the Emerald Isle and drove to checkout. The girl who checked out the car was very helpful and personable.The car had some issues - engine was noisy, transmission had problems, and the rear tire was going flat. However, when we returned the car they credited us a portion of the bill for our troubles. Aside from the car, as always, our experience with National was great.
Friendly & personable staff. Relatively quick in/quick out. Vehicle in good working condition. Would have offered up 5 stars however there was trash (used paper towels in side door) in vehicle upon pick-up.

I picked up my rental in Vegas and returned my rental in Tucson. The drop off and pick up were easy and the staff at both airports were helpful and friendly. We will definitely rent from National again.
National was easy to get to because it’s in the main car rental building, and you just take the shuttle from the airport. The car pick up and checkout was easy too. I only take a star off because the selection in the emerald and the exec aisle was quite poor - a bunch of small cars even corollas (I don’t know how those quality for mid size).
National always has a great variety of well maintained cars. I love being able to walk down the aisle,pick my car, and go! Love this service.
As an Emerald Isle member, I was able to pick out a car and leave quickly. As Ive been renting with National for years, they email my bill so the return process also goes quickly and smoothly.
Renting with National in general is usually a positive experience, however this time we were disappointed in the Las Vegas airport location. The employees there were polite and helpful, and that’s appreciated, but the selection of cars was absolutely terrible. I am an executive elite member and typically book what’s needed to choose from the executive section, and the selection was just awful. Just a hand full of sub par selections and we were terribly disappointed. Had it not been 110 degrees in the parking garage, and if I had more time, I would had canceled and rebooked with another company.
When I arrived at the National rental area at the airport I talked to an attendant and was directed to a National manager. She was very nice and helpful. The SUV that I picked out had an issue with the license plate expiration in a few days before I would return. She brought this to my attention. I would have never realized this on my own most likely. She got on the phone and got me another SUV just like it within 5 minutes. Excellent service in my book! Having a person like her available is very important.Thank you
I am always extremely pleased with how quickly bypass the counter and go directly to the rental car parking area to my car. This works extremely well right now with social distancing and minimizing waiting in lines … same with the return.

Was not impressed at this location. I use National a lot and usually do not encounter many issues as an executive level. The bus ride is a long way to and from the airport but the biggest issue is that the selection of cars was very bad! They had only five cars to pick from and the one choose was awful since it was smoked in. Vegas at 108 degrees with the AC system that covers you with cigarette smoke smell - nah Im good!
I am at a loss of words with the service I received from National on 2 separate occasions. The first occasion being how they stranded me in Cancun, Mexico when I had a confirmed 12-day reservation for an SUV. National decided to shut down early the day of my pickup, but neglected to tell me, leaving me stranded at the Cancun airport. I had no choice but to rent a car from a different company. So then when I returned back to the states from Cancun, I reached out to Customer Service. They apologized and told me they would give me a 1 free day coupon in my account. (Gee, thanks.) So then I go try to use the coupon and its not appearing in my account. I call Customer Service back an speak to someone named Charlie S. I had a new pre-reservation pulled up on my computer, about ready to click submit, but I explained to him that I didnt see the coupon and I wanted to apply it to my new reservation. He said I should submit the reservation on my computer, then once its submitted, he would apply the coupon. So I submitted the reservation, then he told me he CANT apply the coupon! After he told me he could as long as I confirmed the reservation. So then I asked him to cancel the reservation and he said he canceled it. But it was still in my account! So I had to call back and talk to someone else and have them cancel it.LIES and more LIES..... no more National for me ever again.
I love National. Super easy process especially for Emerald Club members. I showed up presented my ID, picked my car and away. Also, I needed to change the length of the after I picked up the car. No problem. Took care of it on the app in less than 30 seconds.
I love being able to choose the car I would like to drive. We were going a fair distance so I did the purchase the tank option which offered a lower price per gallon than gas stations we passed along the way. Some were significantly higher than the National price. The car was brand new with only 2,000 miles and still had a temporary plate. Everything was perfect. We rented just at the outset of the virus craziness and upon returning the vehicle the staff asked if we had been in contact with anyone who had the virus - which we did not believe we had. They had us read them the mileage to them (versus them getting in and restarting the car to get the figures) and to leave the keys on the dash. They offered an email receipt so no personal exchange had to take place. In light of the current situation, it was well thought out and kept everyone to the suggested distance from each other while still being efficient and effective to get you checked in and on your way.
We made a last minute trip to Vegas & was able to get a rental at National on the spot. Staff was very friendly & even gave us an upgrade.While searching for our car in the garage lots, another helpful staff came to ask if we needed assistance. Car was very clean & even the return was effortless. Overall, a superb experience!
I tried to use 2 free days in Las Vegas on 9/3. The app would not allow me to rent. I called customer service and they told me there were no cars available but I was standing at the counter and they told me they had cars available. I was told I could apply the free days at the return but was told I couldnt. I feel like this was a bait and switch. I am extremely unhappy with National.
We are under a large executive elite corporate account, with long term usage traveling all over the country. Every other city we have interacted with have been very easy to deal with; however Vegas, which also happens to be our hometown, has been atrocious. Each time we’ve picked or Swapped out a car, the representatives have been nothing but rude - 2 specifically. Each time when selecting a vehicle, they have condescendingly asked, “Are you qualified for that,” “that car is extra, what type of car did you return exactly,” or “we don’t have anything else available” when im fact they did. One would think, it’s their job to look the customer up and know who they are speaking with and these details before proving such comments. It’s also not as though they simply were letting us know, but were actually making inaccurate judgements which actually seem to be discriminatory. It’s shocking that such a large national company would allow such terrible service. After our other positive experiences, I can only assume the tone is set from management at this location and likely needs to be looked at.
Outstanding service from National at Las Vegas! They went out of their way to help me and I was so pleased with their service. Truly an exceptional Team, especially in the service department. My car had an issue because I locked my keys in the trunk on accident. National took care of me, helped me get ALL my stuff back, got me into a replacement car, and just did an outstanding job to fix the situation! Amazing group!! I will continue to make National my top choice on my future trips to LV and everyone else should too. THANK YOU
Pick up of the vehicle at the rental car center in Las Vegas was very good. The minivan was not ready but the staff brought up a new van quickly. The vehicle was clean and fueled. The check out line was not so good. We waited approximately 27 minutes to check out. It was clear the agent was having difficulty working the computer system. We needed to add a driver during the reservation period. A quick trip to the reservation center was all that was needed. Upon return (Feb 17 5:30 am), the process was good until I needed to reprint the contract. The agent that accepted the vehicle could not process a contract so she sent me to the ticket office. This was closed but an agent was present. The agent proceeded to chide me in a very condescending manner for following the directions of his associate. The chiding agent did direct me to the Alamo office to reprint the contract. The Alamo agent was very pleasant. An overall successful, albeit unpleasant, customer service interaction.
Rented a car from the Las Vegas airport while on vacation. I have Preferred status and there was not much to choose from. I traveled with friends and there was definitely not much to fit 4. We got a CX-5 and it was very tight. But it was either a car or a pick up truck to choose from and I was not sure the pick up truck was going to fit in some of the parking garages that we were going to nor was there going to be room for 4 suite cases. I was very displeased with the amount of full size SUVs that were there, (which there was none) especially when traveling on vacation.
I love renting from National because I get to chose the car I want. Access to the Emerald Aisle selections just gives you more freedom to pick the vehicle that best suits the trip needs. Cars are always clean and in good condition. I also have never experienced renting and receiving a contract at a higher price than what I reserved it for.
We reserved a luxury sedan at LAS airport for the labor day weekend. When we got to the rental facility we had to wait in line for our car for almost an hour. There was only 1-2 guys who had to walk in the >100 deg heat to get the car from a different lot. There were no cars in the aisle because of the extra rush on labor day weekend. But the guy tried his very best to accommodate us and got us a better car BMW x3. The one star I deducted was because of the waiting time that changed our travel plan.The return was smooth too. We forgot to fill up the tank and it was 9/10. But there was an issue with National not able to locate the car in their database so they just put a regular SUV in my bill and waived the fuel cost.Overall it was a nice experience. Id suggest National to better plan for rush days. Their staff were very nice and was a welcome change from Avis. Id rent again from National.
From the start my experience was great. The gentlemen at the counter was fast and helpful. He did everything to make our experience a good one. We went out and picked our car and it was clean and well maintained. It only had 500 miles on it and drove very nicely. I will always use National moving forward. Thank you
National has a wonderful service team who always aim to please their customers. In Las Vegas airport they recently no longer had a large selection of vehicles, which was surprising. However we are in the midst of a pandemic, and I am sure things have effected how their rental demand is.
I recently signed up as an Emerald Club member, and so this was my first time with National, and it was so smooth and awesome. And they went out of their way to accommodate our odd request for an ice scraper, even though we were in Las Vegas. The whole experience was seamless, and the car was great.
I made 2 reservation from Dec 17th to 25th (EA) and 25th to 28th ( Premium Elite SUV). On 25th 5 pm i returned the my Infinity QX50 at LAS, the Supervisor told me they only have 1 SUV Infinity QX80 avaliable for my premium Elite SUV reservation. however QX80 only have 2 seaters at 2nd Row, it wont fit my baby car seat, 3 adults and lugguages like the QX50 (flat 2nd row). so i spoke to Supervisor Carlos that i would want my previous SUV QX50( Was at Return lane 10mins ago) instead of this new premium SUV. Carlos told me my previous QX50 is under maintanace now, they can only assign back to me tomorrow. I told him that QX50 is a brand new car with 790 miles on the odometer, y would it need maintance, and i just return it 10 mins ago. He gave me a rude response and asked me to come back tomorrow instead . so I came back to LAS on the next day and ask for the QX50, coz i left my garage opener inside. the agent told me the car has already rent out yesterday at 8pm...... I am very disappointed on this bad service and dishonest practice, it totally ruined my Xmas and family trip.I am very satisfied with LAS national service other than this incident with the supervisor. I hope managment could look into this incident.
Our experience was great! With the Emerald club, there’s no waiting in line and you pick out the car that you want! This saves so much time and headache from having to wait in line at the counter! The car was very clean! We’ve used this service the last three times we rented a car and it was reasonably priced! We will never rent anywhere else! Loved it!
We flew in late to Las Vegas McClaron Airport, 1:30 am. What was 2hours after we were supposed to be there. At that time, there was one young lady taking care of 2 rental lots. She was very accommodating, as we needed some help with picking the proper car for us. And we were on our way. This may sound like nothing and the way things should happen, however our travel companions decided to go with another car rental company. They did not enjoy the same experience. They waited over an hour in line to get their rental. Not ideal, to say the least, especially when you dont get to your hotel until 3am because of the rental company. I highly recommend National Car Rental and the Emerald Club. Thank you!
Had a great experience as I always have had. We picked out our car and were on our way in 10 minutes. No line just walk to the car. Drop off was just as awesome! Will continue to be a loyal customer!
Like the way they treat Emerald Club members. If you already have a reservation just go to the aisle and pick a car, get in and go to the booth. Easy and quick check out. I personally love this. Easy check in as well. Friendly staff. No complaints.
Normally a great experience, our latest interaction at the Las Vegas location was sub-par. So I have dropped the rating to a 4. Latest visit detail: Current cleaning requirements seem to have overwhelmed the staff as we had to wait almost a half hour before any emerald aisle cars were ready. To make matters worse, I reserved executive aisle cars were available but could only be selected for an up charge.
Picked up the car at Las Vegas airport. I had pre registered, so we proceeded to the parking garage. The customer service representative who was stationed at the top of the stairs was not very helpful. I had requested a premium crossover. The representative gave us 2 options a mini van and a small SUV.. we had been traveling all day. I didn’t feel like dealing with it at that point. When I called customer service, the representative who answered was more than helpful. And resolved our situation and adjusted the amount we were charged.
Ive rented a car from National on 2 different occasions just in the past 2 weeks (more during the year) and for someone that is not considered an executive level of travel, National has been great to work with. Ive not had any issues with checking in or out. Their customer service reps have went over and above to make sure Im in and out quickly. I highly recommend this company!
The car was in great shape. Very clean and tank full. Return was simple and took less than a minute.
Would have given 5 stars except for the lack of cars when arrived. Only had two mid sized cars in stock when arrived at airport facility (and 3 pickup trucks without bed cover). Did not fit in cars but had no choice but to take after representatives confirmed no larger would be available. Waited for 20 minutes to get determination. Had rented full size.Went back to facility after 9:00 PM and found several options at that time (was fortunate that I was staying in town first night). Great small SUV rented with only 1800 miles. Perfect vehicle for my trip. Performed very well and had great gas mileage. Return was excellent. Crews actually checked vehicle fully for ant forgotten personal items (even under seats).
Always a great place to rent a car, but this time the car selection was one car, (what color did you want)and the car smelled like pipe tobacco. Used this company for years and this is the first bad experience we have had so still 4* because I expect next time will be better.
When I began working in an industry where travel is part of my routine, I chose National car rental as my preferred rental company. Recently, I rented a vehicle out of my hometown (Las Vegas) to drive to California for a service. After loading the vehicle, in preparation for leaving the following morning, I noticed the key fob would not lock the doors nor open the trunk. Immediately, I returned the vehicle in exchange for one that worked properly. In addition to having to return the vehicle, the individual who scanned the car back in lacked customer service. He marked the window and went about his business, without any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. This incident is not enough to warrant renting from a competitor but was enough to speak out. This was most definitely substandard, and during these times, I would like to think businesses are going out of their way to ensure the best service/experience possible for their customers.
They didnt have good selection of cars in Emerald Isle maybe it was a busy time for them.
