My friend from alaska and I stayed here for 1 week!! At a unit that was listed as a airbnb. We met in vegas for a vacation. The property is falling apart. And their poor attempt at remodeling is horrible. There was caulking all over the wall!! The flooring was coming apart and i slammed my foot on the seperated lvt in the bedroom!! The sink was leaking and had a bowl under the pipes!!! And the pictures online is not what you get!! The pool was completely NASTY!! Trash everywhere!! We even picked up trash to make our time in the pool more enjoyable!! Then we noticed a dr. Pepper in the bottom of the pool!! There is drig traffic in and out of the apartment units all night long!! The saftey gate doesnt work at all and the residents are completly unwelcoming. Also it was 103 outside and we went to the pool. But the pool is only open when the office is open... I would not recomend this place! We left early and checked into the Excalibur!! Save your money and stay on the strip
Very horrible experience here. Gates always broken and you are forced to buy a $50 gate key so you can maybe use it when the gate sometimes work. THERE ARE 2 washers and 1 properly working drier for 100 - 2 bed apartments. No. I got to use the gym for 1week out of my 8 months here. They said the pool would be open before Sumer yet here it is summer almost over. Communication is horrible. I never know when they are going to do work on my apartment because they always reschedule work “due to weather” then never tell you when it’s happening. THESE APARTMENTS ARE MORE WORRIED ABOUT MAKING IT LOOK GOOD TO GET PEOPLE IN HERE. My bathroom ceiling has leaked from the powder room fan over 6 times. Every time someone comes out, Cleans the water, takes a longer screw then the last guy to put the cover back on. Everything is jimmy rigged. Sinks back up on a regular basis and get nasty dirty water over flowing in them. Wish they would fix problems rather than make everything look good.
I’m starting to believe the 5 starts reviews given to this place are lies. The security guard and the maintenance guys and are always cool with me, no problems with them. It’s just the property manager is sadly very immature and unprofessional. My girlfriend and I had a lot of problems with our apartment when we first moved in and the office didn’t care to resolve most of them. Due to the office not taking care of the problems, we decided to contact cooperate about problems at this apartment complex. The property manager basically lied to cooperate, making it seem like WE were lying about the problems we were dealing with. So we had to send photos as evidence just so they can really fix everything. The washing machine and dryers are bad and the area smells horrible. The gym that was promised still hasn’t been fixed. None of the pools are open and are very dirty. The A.C. Unit is constantly breaking and are not being fixed properly. We have mildew in one of our vents due to a flood and it’s been over a week and nothing is being fixed. If you REALLY need somewhere to stay, by all means, apply. A roof over your head is better than being on the streets. But If you have the money and the time, definitely go somewhere else and save yourself from the head ache.
I moved here because it was close to my work and had easy access to shopping and restaurants. The friendly office and maintenance staff was a bonus.Very happy so far.
It’s a great location and nice apartment.clean, maintenance request get done quick. The ladies in the office are awesome.Owner is improving the property I would recommend people.
I really wish I can give this place negative stars. Every single morning there are maintenance men jumping on the roof at 7:00am. They have a horrible roach infestation. The gym or pool have been closed since I’ve moved in. The gym is just a old apartment they put old dusty equipment in the front room (living room area). The property manager hides out in the back all day been here 3 months never have seen her face. I call to report issues & get hung up on. This place overall is horrible DO NOT MOVE IN I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE IN. Take your money elsewhere I’m telling you.
Never answering work orders, can’t get our own internet, pool inaccessible, they always on the roof fixing and breaking stuff it sound like. This place is garbage. And they don’t answer the phone.
I wish I Can Give Them No Stars. No Swimming Pool Open, Gym Is Not Open. Amd Its Not Because Of Covid. 2 out of the washers are always Broken. My Laundry Is Always Getting Stolen. People Here So Shady. They allow Tow Truck Drivers To Tow Tenants Cars For NO REASON. We Call Maintenance for our AC Always Being Broken. And They HAVE NOT Fix The Job. Ive Had Years Of Experience In HVAC....But This Stupidity and People Who Do Bot Care For Their Tenants. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE HERE. People Here Have No RESPECT. Sometimes mangement will avoid you if you have a problem. Im glad im leaving here. its Worse Than HELL. DO NOT COME HERE.
We moved into our apartment here 2.5 months ago and they still have not fixed our AC. Every week they’ve told us it would be fixed by the end of the week and obviously it gets pushed back every time (for OVER 2 MONTHS). We also had sewage leak through our vents and the extremely rude property manager refused to do anything about it because we “have 2 bathrooms so just use the other one”.
Its a great location and nice apartment.
Horrible, Horrible Staff! I just signed with them and wanted to confirm the apt number so I can start my check list. Oh boy,, well i got LIz on the line! Because it was 15 min left in the day she made it very clear she was not interested in helping at all! she told me call back tomorrow because she is ready to leave the office. wow!
Staff is great, property has been cleaned up since new management took over. My work orders are completed fast i am very pleased!
Had a great experience visiting these apartments . Jocelyn at the front desk is very helpful explaining me details showing around in their show room . We’ll be renting a apartment soon, I recomen this to anyone looking for good priced housing community around this area .
My experience Here is Horrible the office staff is lazy and do not respond to emails or calls they try and charge late fees for on time rent payments and always find a reason to get your car towed without the proper notification worst Apartments I’ve ever lived in looks like the projects. And the Office lady Silvia is literally horrible with customer service total attitude and her Manager Michelle is no better just Horrible.
Very pleasant neighborhood, friendly neighbors &. jocelyn in the main office is very helpful! anyone looking to rent, id recommend these apartments
If I could rate 0. I would. At first this place was great. But then things started going downhill very quickly. They’ve been taken over by new management as of August 6 which I hope is better. But my experience with previous management was horrible. When I first moved in I noticed outlets on one whole side of the living room did not work. I immediately put in a work order. Maintenance came and they said they’d be back to fix it. Never did. Then later my roommate was told we broke it. Well that’s not true when it’s been an issue since before we moved in. The hot tubs never work. The gate is left open or broken at least once week. I tried to work out a payment plan when covid hit and I didn’t qualify for unemployment. I was told unless I had some sort of income there was nothing they could do pretty much. Thanks. Such a help. I have no job. And everything was closed. How was I supposed to magically acquire income? They try to charge you for random things that make no sense. The employees weren’t the issue. It was just the lack of competence for actually getting anything done and then trying to pin the blame on residents.
I loved living here. The management was great and maintenance was really fast. The apartments are nice the location is perfect. The apartments are big and very upgraded. The complex grounds are well kept.I would recommend people living here.
Recently moved in here. Property seems clean and quiet. Office staff was super helpful since I was moving from out of state. I would recommend this complex to friends and family.
New management is here and things have gotten so much better! Now that the resident portal is up and working, Ive been able to communicate with the office. My work orders are getting done, they been able to help me with my internet. So responsive, its really refreshing!
Very good maintenance, staff is very friendly, room are very nice and modern rooms very spacious.
Probably the worst place I have every lived. I am in the process of moving and on my last month of rent they are charging me the new rent fees for a lease I have not signed. My lease is until the end of Aug. My rent should not change.
There’s a new property management firm That is managing the apartments. They are awful! They have unethical business practices! They are totally unprofessional! They don’t answer phone calls. They don’t respond to emails. The web portal site was down for days! If you notify them of all the communication methods used to contact them, they will tell that they do answer the phone and respond to emails. Lies!
They are such nice apartments. The staff is so friendly and easy to work with.I love the apartments location.
Management doesnt seem to care about the pitiful internet wifi signal that we pay for out of our rent. Tenants are not allowed to get our own cable/internet. We have to keep calling the internet company to try and solve the issue instead of them. Mailboxes are broken, so we have to drive to the post office, stand in line just to get our mail. Elevators do not work, security gates are usually not working and the laundry room smells bad. Maintenance is really quick and does a great job as far as fixing things inside of my apartment. Not worth the cost of these apartments.
My roommate and I signed a six month lease at this place and it was okay for a while, but things went down hill rapidly, they screwed us afterwards by saying we actually signed a one year lease, which is complete bs because I remember checking the move out date when I signed and marking it on my calendar. Not to mention the black slime that would come out of my shower drains on a regular basis and would take forever to get someone to work on. Not to mention the roaches and the fact they refused to give us back the deposit due to paint damage from the prior tenant that we informed them was there. Oh and my last month there there was a rolling gunfight in the parking lot that went through the whole complex. Overpriced, sleazy, and run by dishonest management.
Amazing place to live! Great Management and maintenance team both of which consist of professional people who care and do their best to make you feel comfortable, welcomed and resolve any type of problem you can possibly run into.
Had an appointment for my tour at 12pm, I was there at 11:30am and they never open the office door for me and when I called to let them know I was outside they said to wait and I was waiting for an hour and I left. Now I understand the 2.9 stars😡Very irresponsible.
Good place to rent an apt
Went buy yday for my girlfriend to lease an apartment was told her dog was to big then the $99 move in special is false advertising. I just read a review that said one tenant had 3 big dogs n he lives there. also I guessing the leading crew decide who they want to let in and who they dont want in. were a mixed racial couple also this property is listed on the internet saying it will except tenants with a past eviction but when we talked with them face to face they told us no they will not rent to anyone with a eviction,
As an a student looking for a good place to stay where I can feel comfortable and not have to break the bank, I though this place seemed good, but I was VERY WRONG. There was constant issues, and while the employees are seemingly helpful, they never did anything. There was always an issue in the apartment, and it never seemed to get fixed. Sometimes it would have to go through multiple people before the problem was dealt with, which made me feel like none of these people were even qualified to be working there. The security was never to be seen, and when they were, they were so weird and did not make me feel safe in any way. Safety here was always an issue. There is no sense of privacy, and I did not even feel comfortable leaving my car there when I was not home. There is a place in the fence that is open and it allows anyone who wants to walk through the apartment area and parking lot whenever they want to.The employees do not know the rules at all, and asking anyone for any real help is nearly impossible. They will charge you for anything they can, and they do not care. And when you confront them about an issue with the payments, they will say we will look at it and see what we can do and get back to you and 1) will never get back to you and 2) will not even check to see what the issue truly is.While with renovations it is hard to avoid the noise, but the noise here was absolutely ridiculous. Even after asking when construction was supposed to start in the morning, which I was told by one of the head managers here was at 9 am each day, I was still woken up many days at 6 am. As a student who works and goes to school full time I was pissed and felt lied to. I also often had to ask the workers to move their machines because they would park right behind my car with no concern at all if I had to move it.I just wanted an easy living space with little issues and a good management team, but it was just such a bad experience I would never, never recommend anyone to live here.
In short, this is a great deal, if you dont mind experiencing sewage backups into your bathtub, water dripping from the ceiling, what appears to be nicotine residue seeping out of the walls as a result of the water, and seeing about 2% of your security deposit returned to you after some suspicious accounting once you move out.The various issues blamed on contractors, billing, and habitual violations of basic elements of landlord-tenant law (like advance notice of entering the apartment) get tiresome. The on-site staff are very friendly. My housing contract with them was for less than three months. To have experienced so many problems in so short a time was fairly surprising.About a month after moving out, I received a final bill, which, despite my contract only lasting for 1/3 of that month, charged me more utilities expenses than I had ever previously received. And then, 30 minutes later, receiving an even higher final bill. Out of a $200 security deposit, they sought to return to me less than $5.When I sent them an email asking them to explain the charges, I received no response. My calls, which used to be answered promptly when I was a resident, have just happened to go to voicemail. Upon forwarding it to someone in their parent company, I was simply told that it wasnt her job.
Great property. The management is dedicated to making this place the best student housing community. Despite the LONG history of the property, it is very apparent through the current renovations and change of management that this property will be one of the best student housing properties in Vegas.
Has esbestos in all apts. Also has roaches on bottom floor apts. And blame tenants for it and try to gas their apt. With the most toxic chemicals harmful to humans and animals. Which can cause seizures and is the worst category for toxic substances to be inhaled.Their used this in my apt. And I got tingly and passed out and had to go to the hospital for which I now have a lawsuit in court for damaging my nervous system permantly.
I m currently living on the point on Flamingo in Apt 6.I have been residing in this place for over a year.At first I rented by the bed in apt 62,later I got a dog and my roommate didnt like dog so I talked with the management at that time to rent a whole apartment just to help my roommate out. After moving to the new apartment I found that the Ac didnt work properly,i complained to the management then.Afterwards I got another dog and told the management to pay for the dogs.At that time the management told me its fine for me to not pay for the dogs as I had took the whole apartment just for the dogs.Still up to day the aircorn is not working i have complained for them to switch out. There was this incident when a HOMELESS Man BROKE into my apartment through the window,I was out in the living room,he came outside and saw me and we both freaked out and I kicked him out this was at 830.As soon as the leasing office open I told them the person was still in the building complex over on 969 swimming pool, they said they can’t kick him out because it might be Air bnb renters.Since when was this an AIRBNB place I wasn’t promise that when I signed the lease. This is manipulative from the management. And how the homeless man got into my window, they give me such a carefree answer by saying he simply jump. This apartment won’t even assure your safety.Mind you the person was threee times my size and could have easily did something to me if he wanted too.Now comes the new manager instead of fixing things that matter to tenants, she comes after tenants, this is not jus my personal opinion.I have had this dicussion with many of the tenants and neighbor.Furthermore I was promised also that it was a student housing but later found out they rent to everyone.Aside from the ac problems, the water rising from the bathtub flooded the entire apartment and it took the management a long time to repair.I have to be honest,I dont keep my apartment that clean because I have 3 big dogs, its hard for me but I try my best.True since the new manager the apartment have looked better but now she is coming after the tenants. As of now there are uncountable vacant places and she trying to chase me out by calling animal control on me everytime my dogs barks or time I forgot to pick up poops.Today was the 7th time in a month span animal control came by and lecture me on the same thing again and again.I have a court date next month because of the management complaints of dogs.Even Animal Control knows me now and understand my side of the story. You all can be the judgeI just have a heated argument with the management and at the end of my lease or if they kicked me out,i will have a new place anywayThis is for the future.if you wanna have a fuss free life lookt the other waySide notes:Washing machine destroys your clothesShady people around in a student housing
Love the vibe here and everyones generally nice and respectful here!
Great place to live. Havent had any issues since I started living here and the office staff is awesome! 🤙🏼
The point is a great place to live! The new renovations are looking great and everyone inside the leasing are more than accommodating. The property manager (Sommer) has been nothing but kind and understanding towards me and my own financial struggles. I have been treated only with the most upmost respect. If you are looking for a nice, new, student oriented place to live you should definitely check out the Point!
Aka marina bay/ They evicted a whole complex but never told them it was due to knowledge of asbestos in the apartments. These pics are of apt# 160 of the complex. Place has bad energy all around it and in it. On the plus its a convenient location. Thats why a 2 star instead of one.
(First of all you HAVE to include ANY reviews from Marina Bay as the owners changed the name to THE POINT on Flamingo)WATER DAMAGE GALORE here. If you consistently want to pay expensive rent and have the water leak from the ceiling, toilets backed up (into your sinks AND tub) water pouring out of the light fixtures, then at LEAST buy renters insurance. because it WILL damage your property at some point. also I had TWO different water heaters explode within 6 months of each other in my apartment which means ONE thing.... they buy and install used water heaters. PLEASE understand what they show you is all smoke and mirrors. You will regret living here. (The fake emergency maintenance number they give you incase it happens after business hours, does nothing... They guy will literally come the next day if he feels like it, or the second day. ) So I hope you are or know an electrician and a plumber.
Ever since moving into these apartments I have had nothing but great times. I know some guests have had some rough moments but the management truly cares about student tenants residing here. I couldnt be more appreciative for the absolute best customer care I have encountered. These apartments are the bang for your buck, wonderfully renovated to look like brand new modernized apartments, providing high speed quality internet especially helpful for school projects. Its really great getting to know all the staff and students . They also have cool community events for students to attend like barbecues, pool parties, etc. I know so far all I have is wonderful memories that will be with me for as long as I live. We also have top flight security patrolling keeping us safe while we rest in our homes with nothing to worry about. Its also a short 5 minute walk to UNLV allowing you to sleep until class basically starts. Its a great place to start your venture into the life of a young adult.
If you value internet, dont come here. The internet here started off well maybe 6 months ago. But they decided to cut some costs and instead of everyone getting their own wifi box, its property wide and absolutely TERRIBLE. If you go in to ask them about it, theyll tell you use the 5g wifi and if you say I already am, theyll tell you to use the regular. I cant tell you how many sunday nights when Ive had homework due the wifi legitimately did not work whatsoever, or how EVERYDAY the wifi cuts out every 15 minutes for about a minute.
Jasvin share some more details if you can. This is something that can not be bearable and agreeable. If someone laughs at your distress you always can ask for your rights.I think the same lady that you mentioned doesnt know how to approach their customers and future residents as I was also a victim of her weird laughter. I still dont understand why she is posted as property manager. If she can work as property manager then I can be their owner.I am here to help you out just let me know.
To be honest for the price, the new contemporary interiors, convenient location, AND it comes furnished ...you can’t beat it. It’s literally right next to unlv, local grocery stores, variety of fast food, and literally 5 min from the strip . I love it .
The office is absolutely amazing, so many happy faces and kind hearts!! They have always met all my needs and were very considerate on the time gap from when I ask and when they helped♡♡ so happy I met Sommer and decide to live here!!
In Response to The Point on Flamingo Staff.1. Yes, I have noted that the community is now student and conventional housing. My issue was with the lack of communication on the matter. The claim that I had read only one of the last 26 emails is laughable as I am responsible for forwarding the communications I receive to my roommate as he does not receive emails after visiting your office no less than three times to update it. These emails have included the Gate Code and Wifi passwords, which are updated every month, so I am unsure how it is logical that I only have read one if I need this information to get into the apartment complex and use its wifi. I have the texts below to back this up. Additionally, this is an issue I raised with your previous managers Terri and Sommer who have since been relieved of their duties. Unless your system itself is experiencing a poor performance, issue this claim just seems like an attempt to attack my credibility.2. We agree on the convenience of proximity, yay. (Removed from Original)3. While I have not seen the new monitoring I will say that I appreciate that the gate works consistently now and the side door is no longer having the issues it had when I wrote my review months ago.4. My issue with the maintenance team is not the time it naturally takes to resolve some of these issues but the fact that they failed to meet multiple deadlines that they had set themselves. Further, unless I had talked to the front office about it, they were believed that the work was done and nothing else would have been done. This at one point would have left me with a piece of wood holding up my ceiling.ORIGINAL (Minus Proximity Compliment)1. When I signed my lease, it was originally being advertised as student housing and it was necessary to be a student at UNLV to be a resident. It was posted on their website, signs, and lease contracts. It was then opened up to the community without warning which I found out after an incident with another resident. Though it is not always an issue, it has lead to a few instances where I cant tell if certain people live here and should be accessing certain utilities offered or are trespassing. If you are going to advertise Student Living it should be exclusive student living or at least communicate the change as some parents and students may be uncomfortable with the arrangement.2. Communication can be poor as there have been multiple break ins (at least 2 that I personally have walked up on while the cops were still investigating) and there is no notice given to the community to take extra precautions to secure our belongings or for general safety purposes at all. General communication on other matters can be lacking at times too. I have not had an experience where I texted or called an RA and heard back in less than an hour and a half.3. Speaking of security, we used to have guards that walked the premises at night which was appreciated. However, due to costs they were let go and we were told a gate would be erected that you would need a code to access or a key card if you are coming in by car. Now the side gates are stuck open as they will not close and the car gates remain open 24/7 which does not provide much peace of mind given my 2nd concern.4. Work orders can move slowly unless you press often. I had my roof cave in slightly due to a water leak (pictures below) three fours above and it took a little over a week to get it completely fixed. This was a concern since I had to sign a waiver for asbestos but the water that was running in the walls of the building was falling right onto my Vanity area/sink and there seemed like there was little urgency to fix the problem. I had to repeatedly ask the front about the progress as it fell between the cracks multiple times due to miscommunications on their team. It falls short of the luxury living standard that is currently being promoted.I would advise you not to expect the luxury living advertised should you choose to live here.
The staff is very helpful and are always willing to take that extra step to make sure your not getting charged fees that you didnt cause.
This place is not bad some days traffic suck cause of the school but its not bad the staff is great and they take time to help u but if important ur not going to get far when I got here there was alot of work being done but they where only busy during the day and they do maintenance daily if you ask and wait the internet does suck but hey not everything is perfect lol as long as I been here this place has been good to me and the staff is very helpful and understanding and I know soon the security of this place will improve alot andthing I love most Is how close we are to the strip for someone who works out there alot Im never far and save alot I day its worth living here
Staff has been nothing but great to me. Each timeI go into the office they’re all very knowledgeable of the property, and what’s to come . This property was Formerly known as Moreno Bay I believe and it’s been converted into apartments for college students. The new interiors are beyond gorgeous, very modern, and absolutely stunning . I wouldn’t make my decision to live here or not based on these reviews . These reviews are very bias and they were written by people who had high expectations unfortunately . To be honest because it is an older property that is being renovated, it’s not in the BEST neighborhood but it’s definitely not in the WORST, and it’s on a busy street (Flamingo ) ...Me personally, I’m walking into this lease agreement with an open mind and expecting a few errors here and there . No place is AMAZING right away, but over time I have faith that things will pan out.. I feel like everyone who applies here should do the same . Don’t approach these apartments with the expectations of living in Summerlin or Henderson. Be mindful of the location, how old the property is and basically the overall thought that everyone on property is new. There’s plenty of room for trial and error. Tbh, I lived at another student apartment complex not too far from here and it was in the MIDDLE of the hood . I’d prefer this complex before I go back to the other complex . I’m just saying . Give the office staff a break, and give the complex a chance . I actually think they’re doing great for how new they are
For the record I really did not want to write this review but I honestly dont have a choice. Lets start with the good. The staff, RAs, and maintanance are decent people dealing with a bad situation. They have helped me every chance they can and genuinly care. Now for the rest. I wont promise that this will be your experience but this has been mine. I have had cockroaches, and ants, people walking on my roof at 6 am for months, asbestos in the walls, rumors of black mold, been woken up for workers to come into my apartment many times for leeks or renovations i havent been allowed to sleep past 8 in i cant remember how long. Ownership threatened the residents that if they didnt white glove clean they would be fined (nowhere in the lease). Hot tub is cold, windows and walls paper thin. The ownership charged me double rent and without help from the office figuring it out I would have had to pay. Its 7am on my day off and my water heater is being drained because its been leaking down to the first floor for days and i am just being told now. And even though this is for students who are studying, the internet does not work. If your device can connect its slow however my laptop cannot, so i have to go to the library anytime i want to study. I have been here for about 8 months, i really enjoyed living herenin the begining despite some of the bad. However, lately, the bad has compounded so quickly I have to write this review.
Hands down the WORST place I have ever lived. Management is extremely rude and unhelpful, and on top of that, they turned off all the elevators and refuse to turn them back on, which is 100% against code. This place is extremely expensive for a crappy 1 bed 1 bath with shared living and kitchen spaces. None of the doors or windows are sealed, so we constantly had bugs trying to come in and escape the heat.We were constantly woken up at 6 or 7 in the morning by the construction people blasting loud music outside the window. Please take my advice and DO NOT MOVE HERE. Management seems nice at first (because they want your money) but as soon as you move in, they be come the biggest and most unhelpful a-holes. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. So, if you like living in a crappy little apartment in a super crappy part of town with horrible management, constant construction, no working elevators in a three story building, and loads of hidden fees, this place is for you.
Management here goes after tenants and harassment claims have been filed in court for their behavior.
Do not recommend anyone move here
Guys it’s a complete steal super friendly very help full they work with students and none studentsP.S. check them out they nice
First and foremost this complex is NOT luxury, its ghetto and filthy. The dont fix any appliance that are broken, the gate is ALWAYS broken which leads to homeless people breaking into cars, they have installed a new locked door and did not give out new code so residents couldnt get in, they have a bug issue which they ignore, they tow cars just because they feel like it, its in an awful area, and the management is by far the most incompetent management Ive ever seen. The office is always is always locked and you can only communicate via email and it take them days to replay. Dont waste your time or money. 1400 for TRASH!!
