Place has gotten significantly dirtier since new management took over. Trash all over the property, dog waste everywhere, dog waste receptacles not emptied, and worst of all, trash actually piling up behind the trash cans. I talked to one of the ladies in the office about all this last week and, while she was friendly enough, nothing has been done. The smell is horrible and pervasive, and I would strongly suggest anyone thinking about renting here first take a walk around the property, especially behind the buildings and near the trash cans.
My girlfriend and I have lived here for 2 years and this is the third management company weve gone through and the newest one, Robinson, is by far the worst yet. Our A/C has been broken for over a week now!! With temperatures exceeding 100 degrees! The temperature inside the apartment has remained in the high eighties and low nineties!! There has been NO communication between management and us. This management company took over and openly bragged about how much better they are than the previous company. When in reality, they are completely incompetent and worthless. The painters they hired to paint the buildings were very unprofessional, and worse at painting!! It is obvious that we will be contacting their corporate office.
This place is nice and property management is very friendly and works fast.
UPDATED: After two weeks of living here the issues have finally been addressed. I received my mail key, they put in a new garbage disposal for me, and the AC guy ran some tests and will see if he can get it running better on Monday by installing a new motor. I’m not sure why it took so long, whether it was office staff ignoring my requests and/or slow to relay information to maintenance or if it was maintenance being slow. Two of these problems (mail key and garbage disposal) were easy solutions— it should not have taken 2 weeks. They are all nice people, and I like my apartment, neighbors, and the location, but improvement in communication would be helpful. Also, yes they have a bark park for dog owners and additional pet waste stations, but NONE of them have poop bags and there is poop everywhere. Put some bags in there so pet owners can get rid of the waste! I will continue to update this as my lease plays out. Started as a 1 star rating, now I give them a solid 2.ORIGINAL POST: I’ve only been here 10 days but sadly all of the negative reviews are true: AC does not work (it’s supposed to be 114 all week), no response to multiple maintenance calls, still don’t have a mail key, kitchen sink is clogged because the garbage disposal is broken and there are cockroaches. In 10 days I left 4 voicemails, 1 email, and made 2 office visits to no avail. What are they doing?!?!? Most apartment buildings in Vegas have pretty bad reviews overall, but I would avoid this place— you have other options.
Hello good people out there, If your looking for a place to call home, this is it...I moved here from St. Louis hoping to find a nice peaceful place to live... we have been through 3 managers, and for the most part its been okay, some care and some just want a pay check, well now I think we have a winner. Ive seen this manager walk the grounds in the morning, Ive witness him picking up trash, not his job, but its good to see this... he doesnt live here we do lets Help him Help us by picking up after ourselves... This is our home, these are our neighbors we have a nice place here, lets keep it that way... I just wanna say to our manager keep up the good work...we got your back.... I think the manager need to do something with the loud people listening music after 10 pm.I left at 2 am and the guys with music still was there..I understand that some times its a bad crowd...just hire a security patrol and share de bill with the others apts on the area.

We just renewed our apartment for the 3rd year and we love our apartment and our community! We especially love the new management team - very helpful and accommodating!
The maintenance staff are incompetent as hell, theyll fix one thing and create 2 new problems. They show up late or not at all, and on top of that theyll leave the scene messy.The management staff was nice, but the overall living experience was less than mediocre. Oh, and there was a creature living within the walls for a few weeks when I first moved in, took them awhile to tend to that. Also, the rent is $870 which is cheap, but if money isnt an issue I wouldnt put yourself through the headache.

My boyfriend has lived here for 8 years. The pool closes everyday at 5 when the office staff leaves. Why? I can only assume its because the kids ruin everything. Either way its a big inconvenience to live somewhere and pay rent, pretty expensive rent at that, and not even be able to swim once you get off work. Some people work and get off at 4 or 5 and have kids that want to swim. Yet are unable because somehow the pool closes at 5 pm. When every other pool in vegas closes at 9 pm to 10. Time to move thats for sure. This is just one complaint there are many more but today i just had it. So if you want to live in the ghetto where there are unsupervised kids roaming around destroying property and dont mind paying alot of money to rent an apartment that has nothing special about it and not even be able to use the pool, then by all means rent here but if you do mind these things then look elsewhere I would rather not live here. It was good at the time 8 years ago but now its trash and also the person named jocelyn alc something is the leasing manager the one who gave 5 stars lame also theres a bed bug problem here . furniture being thrown away constantly do not approach it it for sure has bed bugs

Maintenance guys are amateurs.. First off, Took them a little over two weeks to fix my A/C. The front office talks a good game to get you to sign but please Dont move here. Its a quiet area and that may matter to some of you but dont move here. They will raise your rent and tell you youre paying market value at a discounted rate. The office staff are all rude, My goodness. Read these reviews!! Theyre all the same stories..Rude office staff..High rent payments..Additional velocity utility bill that youll have to pay in addition to NV Energy..Mold.. Dont move to ZThey fix problems but doing half a** maintenance job when they feel good and ready. Look elsewhere. We live/lived there (until 6/2017 I just left) I got fed up.. Thank you.

This place looks nothing like the pictures. The BBQ (no chairs) pool (people have destroyed equipment so what they show is BS and honestly, Id never allow my kids near it anways) Maintenece is awful, too many apartments and not enough workers, but they do the best they can (no thanks to the office) most of the time office staff wont even put the request in and allow the guys to take blame. Kids run rampant all day and night with no supervison. We literally couldnt get away from this place fast enough.

I gave them 1 start because 1. Vanessa the Hispanic lady had an attitude when I was asking questions, worse apartment viewing I ever had she kept there quiet the whole time and when the maintenence guy came her nasty mouth was talking behind my back telling him gosh knows what & she so dumb didnt know anything! She thinks she cute just because she had on high heels or what? Just dumb! In addition, the 1 bedroom apartment smells and old looking inside exterior ok but I wouldnt recommend or rent it for $720 maybe $430!! The place looks like a hood super ghetto!! Imiss not from the area so I went there because they look nice based on the pictures posted above but in person they look like HUD apartments which I asked if these apartments are income based/HUD and she didnt even know what that meant!smh
When I first moved in my refrigerator was missing its drawer, the kitchen sink was in horrible shape, and there was red paint or something all over the baseboards, the bedroom window was stuck shut, the only outlet in the bathroom didnt work also my front door didnt close unless I locked it, you could just push it open, and the first time it rained the bedroom window leaked. All of these things were brought to the offices attention. 6 months later upon leaving the only thing they did was replace the sink and cause a pipe leak in the process that was also never fixed. I called approx. 9 times regarding the roof leak and nothing ever happened past them coming to look at it and say ooh yeah Ill tell the boss and it was just an bad experience all together. Unless I had no other option I wouldnt ever move back into those apartments.

Worst place to rent, DONT MOVE HERE! The management is terrible and will try to get one over on you somehow. Just giving future tenants a heads up. I hate to leave a bad comment but I just wish someone else would have gave me a heads up before moving to Mountain Vista Apartments. Now I will have to take them to the small Claims Justice Court. This is the email I was forced to write at 3am 7/12/17Hello,To whom it may concern, Ive been living in your mountain vista apartments for the past 3 weeks. I have requested a key for my mailbox for the last 2 weeks and havent not yet received a key. Ive been told oh it will just be one more day, come back tomorrow. For the past week and a half and I still havent received my mailbox key. I feel like that has been a very unprofessional way to handle this situation because everyday I return theres an excuse to why I havent received my key. This has become a very serious inconvenience to me, due to the fact that I am missing out on paying some of my bills and I am now becoming late on some of my bills because I havent had a mailbox key in 3 weeks.Secondly my apartment came with no lock on the sliding glass door which in this particular area is very unsafe. Luckily my place hasnt been broken into yet and none of my valuables or my sons valuables have been stolen yet.Also on 7/9/2017 I called your so called after hours emergency hotline because I left my entry key in Summerlin which is 30-45 mins away from where my apartment is located. I asked for some assistance and your operator was unable to help me stating that there was nothing your company could do for me at this time of night. I would have to wait until the morning when the front office opened or call a lock smith. I find this very hard to believe that your after hours support couldnt offer me any support after hours. Which lead me to a 2 hour bus ride back to Summerlin at 1 or 2 in the morning and another 2 hour bus ride back to your property on Mountain Vista.Lastly, on 7/11/2017 my A/C went out and I called your not so supportive after hours support line. I was informed by who seemed to be the same operator that told me I couldnt get any help with my key situation, that they wouldnt be able to send someone out to fix my A/C because it is not 90 degrees or hotter. After my thermostat on my phone has indicated that it was 89 degrees and the inside of my apartment suggest the same. I have a medical condition called asthma and bronchitis which Requires me to have a sufficient amount of cool air in order to me to be able to breathe without artificial oxygen support. As Im writing that email this is currently hard to do. Im finding myself becoming very short of breath and overly dehydrated due to heat exhaustion.I realize your rates arent sky rocket high but I still have paid my rent for the month, and put down the adequate amount of money for the down payment within a weeks time which equals roughly $1,031 within a weeks time. I do not like to resort to these actions but because of the front offices inabilities to meet my request, and receiving no support from your after hours emergency support team. I have been obligated to inform my legal team about these unfortunate circumstances which have taken place in less than 3 weeks, to see if they have enough evidence to build a case against the property. I am not filing a suit of any sort right now, but if the incompetency continues from your front office here at Mountain Vista Apartments, and I cant receive any service from your property management team. Then I will have no choice but to ask my legal team to take action against the negligence in which i have been receiving.Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to read my email. DO NOT STAY HERE. I been a resident here for two years and management changed 3 times already. This apartments has water issues. Always leaking toilets, water leaking from unit upstairs, units from next door and dont call maintenance or put in a request online because they will never ever get to you. You have dog feces everywhere, always dirty. It was never like this when we first moved in but this year everything went down. The manager today has only been the appartment manager for couple of months and she is RUDE as hell. TRUST DONT DO IT You will just wake up mad knowing you sign a another year lease. They want to collect your rent but NEVER EVER fix the issues in your unit. I have tons of pictures videos to prove it so email if you want the real deal on how they treat their loyal residence.
Ive been living here for a 2 years the old management was way better they got a new one and painted the apartments a better color but theyre horrible!!!! They dont answer there phones mantience dont come but the manager Bernie is awesome!!! She is awesome and its quiet my apartment is not really that bad expect the fact that it took mantience a week to come🙄 Umh idk it is kinda dirty but not horrible there pretty decent they went up on the rent too with new management but it is still decent
After living whitout air conditioner, roaches and tons of complaints in writing to the office they showed no worries ! I had 5 kids and refused to expose them so we hired a company to get our AC running in the middle of hot summer, that wasnt all with a very high $500+ energy bill one time the office tried to charge us an energy bill that supposefly came under Mountain Vista Apartments and tried having us pay it when it later after numerous times getting ahold of NV Energy turned out to be our neighbors that no longer lived their debt that they never shut of the power and being we were on the same building they tried charging us. They are horrible, not nice nor understanding. Living there was stressful and very uncomfortable. The corporate office is very hard to get ahold off also. To top it off we dealt with so much but refused to break our lease and be affect our credit so our lease was up we have them a 30 day notice, all was great but now a year later we have seemed a lender and theyve ruined our credit TWICE!! Horrible 0 Stars!! In process to seek an attorney!!
Worst place to live office people rude & ignorant ...moved here during summer & my first light bill was just a little over $300 office doest want to help me with that...first month I lived here my shower & stove broke & took maintenance about week to stop by & fix ...windows dont have screens & been asking for them since before I moved in & by law there require to have them, 9 months in & still no screens always tell me they ordered them but never seem to get here...roaches everywhere doesnt matter how clean house is...theres a leak in the room & leaks whenever it rains complain about it 3 times & maintenance dont even bother fixing it...toilet repeatly leaks water from the back complained about this to office twice already & they still dont bother sending anyone to fix it...worst place Ive lived to date

This place was terrible they threaten to raise my rent just because my neighbors complain about how my newborn son cries and they constantly through trash on my side of the building and the office try to charge me multiple times this place with horrible maintenance was horrible the management was just horrible it was very ghetto I had my car broken into in the office did not do anything about it!!
