Careful renting here, they get you in on a low introductory rent and then raise rent $200 or more each time your lease is up for renewal. They think a small 1 bedroom apartment is competitive at a rate of $1694 a month, and offer no incentives too upgrade or modernize the apartment. But they did remodel and upgrade the staff offices all summer.
Great nail tech. Always studiously designing the nail art to perfection.
I have been living here for over 2.5 years and I absolutely love it. I’m this is my fourth apartment complex in vegas and this is by far the best. I love my neighbors, management is amazing, the maintenance guys are friendly and fix things in timely manners, the landscaping is always well maintained. I love that when the weather is nice you see kids and families playing, people walking dogs and getting along with one another. I gave birth to my daughter this April and all of my neighbors love her and shower us with affection and kind words. Is this place perfect? No, but nowhere is and this is the closest you’ll get to perfection. The rent is comparable to other complexes with less amenities and bad reviews. If you’re thinking of moving here- do it! You won’t regret it.
I love this complex. Manager Tabitha and staff treat you like family. The maintenance staff under Scott is excellent. The area is very safe. Many police cadets live here as the academy is a couple of blocks away and they recently hired a security guard. Ive been here for three years, first living in a two bedroom and now a three bedroom.
I moved into Shadow Hills at Lone Mountain in June of 2018. I looked at several apartments before making my final decision and Shadow Hills stood out to be the absolute best! Shadow Hills was my very first apartment when I moved out of my parents house. As soon as I toured the property and met the office staff, I knew it was it. Bianca was the staff member that showed me around and assisted me through the whole process. Throughout my residency, I met Jose who became the Property Manager, and he is awesome! The community and area is very quiet and secluded - which I loved.I have been a resident there for just over two years and I recently did move out to live with my girlfriend so we can save and buy a house. I honestly can say that I miss Shadow Hills and the community. They treated me so well and the move out process was very simple. If youre looking for a quiet, safe, and nice community to live in, then I 100% recommend Shadow Hills at Lone Mountain.
I looked for quite a while to find my new home. The staff has been amazing, especially Rosie. I will be moving in next month....cant wait!!
LOL Shadow Hills Apartments are not luxury apartments at all. They could be nice -- the buildings are freshly painted and the landscaping is clean. Inside the apartments is another story. The real problem is the management. They are literally slum lords. When I moved in, the refrigerator would not get below 50 degrees. The gas co. would not turn on the gas because the 20 year old stove was that bad. The dishwasher nozzles were clogged with melted plastic. The manager, Tabitha, got mad at me for complaining. Scott, the maintenance supervisor, was in my apartment a dozen times and every time he acted like I was doing something wrong.I do NOT recommend Shadow Hills at Lone Mountain Apartments. Nope.
Ive been living here for about a week and love it already. Its quiet, everyone really seems to respect each others space and keep the peace. Beautiful view of the mountains. No bugs. Super clean. The staff has been so sweet and welcoming to me. This spot is a gem and I hope they continue to keep it as pristine as it is for years to come.
The community is very quiet and the office staff is amazing! Mo is the sweetest! Very professional, patient, and always willing to listen and help with whatever I need. Jason and Jose are just as great! They make sure all maintenance requests get taken care of in a timely manner. Javier and Mike are very efficient and whenever you see them around the property they are always friendly and greet you even when you’re just driving by. The very few issues I’ve had in my unit have always been promptly handled and they always exceed my expectations. Thank you Mo, Jason, Jose, Javier & Mike for making me feel welcome in the community and for everything you all do.
Going on my 3rd year here. Landscaping is very well taken care of and maintenance is very prompt with my request with fixing things. People in the office are very nice and understanding, Jason the new manager seems nice. Jose just came back to the community and Im glad to have him back, friendly faces and warm welcomes are always nice to see and hear. Premises are very neat, clean, and well organized.
Im in the application stage, but I wanted to shout out Rosa. Im back in Vegas dealing with a difficult situation and Rosa was so kind and compassionate and really helped me find a place that I thought it was going to be impossible to find.#RaiseForRosa !!
I love living at Shadow Hills. It’s close to my kids school, to parks and walking distance to the shopping center. The staff is awesome and friendly. My kids and I love going down to the leasing office for hot chocolate and treats. They plan awesome community events and have cool games to win prizes. Anytime I had questions or concerns they were handled quickly and professionally.
Ive lived in this community for 8 years and have been very happy here. The staff has always been helpful and responsive to any issues Ive had and have made me feel at home. Highly recommend.
The whole move in process was smooth and Moe was so helpful and made sure everything was good. Would definitely rate this place 10 stars if it was possible
One star for the friendliness of the staff, but that is about it. I gave my $100.00 holding fee and was told that I would get a call the following week. That called never came, so I called and emailed. There was no response. My lease was coming to an end and I had to make a decision to stay or go somewhere else. Shadow Hills was no longer an option because no one would address my concern. Two days before I was suppose to move, I get an email stating congratulations on my move and to review the move-in packet, which was not sent in the email. I called to see if I can get my money back seeing that there was no way I would be prepared to move in 2 days. I was told that she would contact Corporate since it was a lack of communication on their part. Apparently, they didnt have an apartment manager and things were chaotic. I was called back within a minute (how can anyone explain what has transpired within a minute? Corporate is pretty busy and usually you would be on hold within a minute). I was told that since I cancelled, even though it was due to no one responding to my call/email, that I could not receive my money back. This last minute B.S. is not cutting it and I feel that it was very UNPROFESSIONAL. I should not be held accountable for your transition in management. I am glad I am not moving there, it seems to be chaotic. Im sure the welcome letter was to cover their butts and so that they can keep the money. It angers me when companies do not take accountability for their actions.
Light at the end of the tunnel. Living at Shadow Hills for a few years now and it has been a great living experience except for these past 7 months of feeling harassed and unwelcome at the office and even outside my front door. The light has finally shined and Jose is here. What a great surprise coming into the office contemplating on renewing or not but seeing his face and hearing him being always so polite could not have me sign my renewal fast enough. The new staff is wonderful and with Jose back I do not see anything but shiny days here. Thank You for bringing life at Shadow Hills back to normal.
Me and my dad had this upstairs neighbor who kept making noise and one day they came down to our apartment and started criticizing US for reporting THEM. Then they moved out and the next person did the SAME. EXACT. THING!!! And that person said she would call the cops if we knocked on her door and her daughter answered...like what kind of crime is THAT!? But enough about them...let’s talk about the rest of the community, all there is to say about them is their actually really nice, especially the people at the pool (shout-out to my dude mark! who is apparently dead).
Lived here for a year and it’s quiet and peaceful. The grounds are impeccable and the maintenance staff responds fast. The community is beautiful ( Shawdow Hills)just sits right off the 215 and Cheyenne. Close to Lone Mountain, parks and trails. Summerlin is just 7 mins away. You’re nestled in a nice community. The pool, jacuzzi, and work out room are great.Always well maintained and in good repair. It’s a smaller community so only one pool area but it’s plenty big. The office staff is very nice and they leave a community letter every month with updates and always have monthly community contests and gatherings. Neighbors are quiet and respectful.Small families, singles and elderly live here. They have lots of options for handicap apartments. The community manager José is professional and doesn’t get into your business. If you want to be apart of the gatherings it’s welcomed but if not they don’t pressure you. They also leave candy on your door sometimes too.Vendors come monthly. Sometimes pizza for $5 or a taco truck. That’s pretty cool.Great place for dogs because they have a nice grass area where your dog can run and play.Like I said the grounds are well kept and it’s so nice to live in a community that’s clean and welcoming. Aesthetically pleasing when you pull up to the entrance.I love it here. Feels like home:)
I lived here for a year before we bought a house while my husband was in the police academy. I honestly miss it, the staff is incredible, maintenance is great. The main maintenance guy was always so friendly and would play with my dogs. Its right by the highway too and theres mountain view, quiet perfect spot, and very clean and safe. Id recommend to anyone :)
Current resident. I would not recommend to rent here. The office staff is terrible. Once you sign, they dont care. All you can count on is a rent increase every year. The maintenance under Scott depends on who you are. He talks a good game but he only does what he wants to do. I dont know who these people are that give them 5 stars.
Itll be a year in october since my family and I have moved into shadow hills apartments. Ive never met a staff who are so involved with the community. This place has a very tranquil vibe to it. Im proud to say that it is very quite here too. Thank you shadow hills for all your hard work and dedication.
I have been living here almost 9 years and I must say these past couple of months have been the hardest time living in this community. A lot of residents and myself always enjoyed coming to the office for coffee or a quick chat with the staff but due to some changes in staff and the way the vibe felt made it very clear it was not friendly anymore. I have been very ecstatic about the recent changes that just happened because Jose Cerda the Assistant Manager that has been here for years and always treated residents and everyone in general with respect and made us feel like family is BACK. As for our new manager Jason Valenton, I get a really good feeling that he will also make the residents feel at home and make this community a great and happy place to live. Maintenance is amazing and when I need something fixed they are quick to get it taken care of, I have never had any problems with the maintenance in all the years Ive been here. I love living here at Shadow Hills and would not live anywhere else.
I moved in here a couple of weeks ago. Everything seems just fine; management is very nice, definitely caring that all was in order with my move. I did have a few maintenance issues with the apartment, and once I brought my concerns to the management, they sent someone almost immediately to address them. The maintenance mans name is Carl. Carl was very nice, extremely professional and he did a fantastic job fixing all the little things, including making a light that wasnt even hooked up into perfect working order. So far I am very happy here. Location is great, apartment is nice, pool is fantastic by the way, and a huge thumbs-up for the maintenance guys! Thank you!
Best place Ive ever lived. Ive lived here for 2 years now a,d I can proudly say it been the best 2 years. Staff is AMAZING (one staff member actually went out of her way to do something for me when she didnt have too) and very clean and quiet (well for the most part quiet, a new neighbor moved in a couple months ago and for some reason likes to sing at the top of his lungs early in the morning or laugh hysterically out on his balcony.....stellar guy >_>...not complexs fault though.)I see plenty of dogs around but never any dog poop which is always a plus, a police station is down the road if you ever need emergency help, and the community is gated so thats always a plus. Maintenance were very quick when I needed them (only had to use them twice since being here) and the leasing office does events for the complex to bring us together. So far I have nothing bad to say, Ive noticed that we have some new faces in the leasing office and I havent had to pleasure of meeting them properly but Im sure they are amazing like the last :). I recommend this place to everyone!
Rent increases arent uniform for all tenants. It *DOES* matter if you are one of Tabithas favorites. Some people got a $50 rent increase this year. There are a few who got a $0 rent increase. You have to kiss kiss, and thats not fair. The neighborhood is mostly safe. Its not quiet being right next to the freeway.
Great place to live, rent and visit. Always clean and safe
Very clean community, Responsible personal that work here. Great experience
First off I wanted to see what the reviews were before me, and why some gave 5 stars. I have no idea what these people are talking about with parties for the residents and how helpful the staff is. I moved into this complex just this February because I really liked the set up and have been to a few of them throughout the years when friends have lived here. however, I have been running into issues that have needed to be fix amongst other things. I am never home to witness what maintenance does or doesnt do but I make sure my roommate is home so we know whats going on in our place. if I have more than one issue at hand such as an outlet not work and the fan not working, only one thing gets done. the office provides a company to come and spray for bugs every Thursday as long as you call to get on the list. the first time they never showed up and told me I had to wait the following week, I ended up having to put my foot down because with the summer hitting and roaches getting in the house I wasnt waiting a week for them to not come again. this second time, Jose told me that the company checked my apartment off the list stating they came, but my roommate called me at noon saying they have not showed up yet. by the time I got ahold of the office the bug company left. Im still awaiting a call back. the office never picks up their phones, if you leave a message they wont call back. The staff acts like they are going to be really helpful for you and you never hear back from them. I wish I could just get rid of my lease without having to pay $1500. however I will not renew my lease when it ends.
I have been here a year the staff has always been pleasant and helpful once they got the new manager Tabitha it was even better. The staff is one of the reasons I signed up again.Maintance is great sometimes it takes a day or two longer but thats because there is more then just your apartment. If its a real emergency your first on the list.I would recommend complex to both friends and family. The only thing I wish is that the upgrades werent so expensive and what ever happened to having a walk way to the driveway, Im a bit disabled and its hard having to walk over the curb or gravel. But Im still there number 1 fan...
The staff is mostly nice, but there are a couple disgusting individuals that have made the experience turn very nasty. The maintenance manager has a huge power-trip and speaks to people like he is scolding his kids. If things do not go his way he gets very aggressive and starts insulting and calling names. He cursed and me and my wife in front of my kids and other residents. There is zero accountability with his actions and he plays games with the complaint system. He went so far as to have one of his friends write an false email because he knew a major complaint was coming from disgusting actions. He told me he would make my life hell and that he was the wrong person to mess with, all over a misunderstanding. They had changed the pool hours without notifying anyone, we were in the spa 10 minutes after the new pool hours, on customer appreciation day...LOL., although we did not know it since it is not posted or written anywhere. Their website still advertises a 24-hour fitness and pool area. He could have simply announced who he was and it would of been good. There were other people in the hot-tub when we got there and the manager was a part of the group still using the pool....when we showed up, suddenly the pool was closed. This guy was in flip-flops, a t-shirt and a backwards hat...I had never seen him before and he went right into the yelling. What a horrible way to treat good residents....I put in my notice to vacate a.s.a.p. Do not rent here unless you are desperate, they will take anyone, the quality is not good. I heard it used to be.
I was aResident there last year & I can honestly say they were so good to me. There is not one thing I can say bad about the staff there. Thank you all for your kindness to me & my family!!!
This is a great quite place to live. The staff is great and helpful and willing to go above and beyond. I definitely recommend this place!!
The Shadow Hills management team is exceptional. There have been changes in personnel over the last 12-13 years that i have been a resident. The team that i have been very satisfied with is coming back together. Jose Cerda has now returned and several of my neighbors that have been tenants for several years contacted with the good news. The new office manager Jason Valenton came in with such a positive concern of the property and makes you feel the property now has a manager that is for the tenants. What we needed was a manager who makes himself visable which lets tenants know the rules must be followed. The ladies in the office are very courteous and efficient when it comes to addressing tenants needs. Im looking for another 12 years because i now feel stability.
Great management always looking out for ther residents
Im currently a tenant, Ive only been here since March of this year and Im truly disappointed. I love the location but the complex its self is okay. My neighbors throw food/trash out their door and it ends up at my front door. They generate so much noise at all times of the day, but its really bad late at night. Since Ive been here they had to replace my water heater, stove, refrigerator and now my dishwasher is going out. I can honestly say the people at the office & maintenance are great. Theyre quick to put in the work orders and get things fixed.
Absolutely horrible things went on at shadow hills apartment complex. The staff is outwardly pleasant but are strictly only concerned about the numbers and money. This crew is just another new set after the others have quit or been fired. I cant tell you how long I waited for things to get repaired or taken care of.There is no security or control whatsoever.Police cars are a regular appearance as recent as 3 cop cars a couple of days ago.People are constantly breaching the gates whether they lie in wait to follow you in after opening or they just hop the back gates and fences to get in and do bad things.....I have seen vandelism, theft, fights, young kids dumped out to the complex or pools with no parents in site, and late night deals (drops and pickups) go down. I waited till now to write this having finally just moved out, thank God.I feared writing anything while I was still there in review until I was out. I constantly worried about retaliation from hooligan kids as well as other tenants for what I have seen there. I am so thankful to be gone but feel bad for some of the good people that are still stuck at shadow hills.
New office staff AGAIN - cant they find any one to run their office who isnt straight up RUDE to the tenants and even prospective tenants? Office is more often than not closed for 2, sometimes 3 hours in the middle of the day - no wonder their leases are down! How can anyone lease here if the office is closed? Dog crap everywhere, not just in the grassy area. No one ever picks up after their dogs. Oh and if you need something in the apartment fixed, expect to wait weeks or even months for someone to show up - that is if the office staff doesnt delete the order from their computers! Dont rent here!
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!It is 9:05 pm. I was just with my husband, across town in Henderson, for his lunch break. I left my car running and hopped in to his car for a minute to eat, because I don’t like to eat in my car. I accidentally left my keys sitting in his front seat, but because I had left my car running, I didn’t know that the fob wasn’t on me and I was able to drive off and drive all the way home. So I get home and I turn off my car. Then I start looking for my keys so I can go up and unlock my front door. Can’t find my keys. Tried starting the car again, wouldn’t start because I don’t have the keys on me. My husband says he can’t leave work or they will count it as a missed day or an “occurrence” which you are only allowed so many of before they will fire you. So, I call Shadows Hills’ emergency line. They tell me that they WILL NOT come out to open my door and to call a locksmith. I begged and pleaded with them to just come open the door. Mind you, I have my two year old son sitting in the back seat crying. They don’t care. The girl on the phone laughed at how upset I was getting over her lack of simple human compassion. I told her that I didn’t have any money for a locksmith, because I had just given them $1180 for rent, which was all the money I had. She was the maintence supervisor too. Now my husband has to leave work and who knows what’s going to happen with that. We can only pray that God will just make it all work out. In the meantime, I’m still locked out and just sitting in my car in this heat with my baby. Oh, all this and I’ve had to ask them twice now to fix a leaky refigerator that is filling the crispers with nasty water and leaking onto the kitchen floor daily. My son has already slipped and fallen because of the issue once, and even after I specifically asked for the fridge to be removed and replaced, they sent maintenance up to “look” at it again. These people do not care about their tenants one little bit. They care about money and word of mouth, so take my word for it, don’t move here.UPDATE: It is now 9:23 a.m., the morning following the aforementioned mini disaster. I’m doing laundry as we are getting ready to go to church, and right in the middle of the rinse cycle my washing machine starts making some loud buzzing noise. I open it and the noise doesn’t stop until I turn the machine completely off. Now my washing machine is just stopped and filled with water. My husband had to take a huge risk and sneak out of work last night asking one of his coworkers to cover him for 40 mins while he flew home at 90-100 mph (another huge risk) just to make it to us and back without being it being noticed that he was ever gone and so that we wouldn’t be sitting out there waiting all night. Their insensitivity and lack of compassion, first and foremost, in addition to the broken down fridge and now washer (for me) at $1100 per month is just not worth it. You would think with its location and high rent prices this place would have units with working appliances and such.
Hello, my name is Judi and I have lived at Apartment for 7 months now and I can honestly say this is one of thebest apartment communites I have lived at. I have lived at the best in Calif, and it doesn compare well with those communities1. The office staff are polite and friendly and are there to help when needed2. The maintenance staff are friendly and take care of the community, if there is anything wrong Scott is always wanting to fix the problem in my apartment3. The community is well kept4. The apartments are quite5. There is nice scenery5. Every month there is a community party, and the staff give out raffle tickets for either 25 or 50 dollars off your next month rent.6. If you live upstairs you have your own private stair way which makes it fell very private7. I love my air conditioning in the Summer8. The price is right
This place is HORRIBLE and I will never be back. The office people are terrible. They used to have a good team but now it is just crazy. Kids are running around everywhere and I swear they let anyone in. Most people dont have jobs and are on welfare and they just let them in. I HATE IT dont ever go there!!
Is a very inviting community!
The staff is really friendly. Every time i go to the office my dog receives a treat
Awful place! In three years it went from nice to nasty, residents are mostly welfare and kids run wild and unsupervised. I dont even use the pool this summer, since I cant stand people smoking in my face, cursing (who cares if the kids are there!) and throwing trash around. The office staff is useless in resolving any conflicts and you will be waiting for repairs FOREVER. Maintenance has no idea what they are doing, just making up stuff if they dont know how to fix it. Very unhappy about this place and definitely not renewing the lease!!!
I dont know what anyone is talking about. I hardly saw police there. The one time i did it was over my neighbor thinking someone hacked her internet. Its a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly but for the most part everyone keeps to themselves. The office staff was extremely helpful and nice. Maintenance can take a up to day or 2 but thats normal. Some days it would be addressed in the same day. They had resident parties almost every month where they would raffle off prizes. I over all think it was extremely well kept. No disturbances. I wouldve continued to live there had I not found a house. I lived there for a little more than a year and moved out less than 2 weeks ago. I personally had a great experience here and thought people should know since the other reviews are so bad. But then again i had a completely different experience so if your looking its definitely worth a shot.
Lived here for a year, while the grounds are nice and well kept the walls to all the apartments are to thin and you can hear your neighbors talking, walking, opening doors, TV, music etc... makes living here uncomfortable because you constantly hear noise and your neighbors can hear you too.
Great Apartments!
