A/C Technician Mike and Kurt! Took thier time to hear out our families concern. They serviced our compressor, air handler, control module and thermostats in house and found a bad thermostat and replaced under warranty in 24 hrs. Air handler unit in attic space was checked. It was a new build home. Found that builder did something wrong and corrected the issues.Well equipped and extremely knowledgeable!THANK YOU!

*** CODE VIOLATIONS *** CODE VIOLATIONS *** CODE VIOLATIONS ***M&K Heating and Cooling Services did a really bad install with many code violations being broken back when my AC unit was installed by them in 2011. I only just found this out because I posted for AC troubleshooting help on the internet and people were going crazy over the code violations and safety issues in the video I made of the unit. M&K Heating and Cooling Services also came by in 2017 and didnt acknowledge the issues nor inform us of these issues.I contacted them the other day about these concerns, the unit has a 10 year warranty anyway, but I wanted them to fix all of these code violations with the installation. We didnt feel safe and felt like we had been lied to and cheated out of labor time which should have been spent on a quality installation. The unit and install was $5500, that is a lot of money and I couldnt believe out gas line was supported by a piece of electrical wire, there was no sediment trap (which is required from 2008 and on), no gas shut off, the fuse box contents fell out everywhere, gas line wasnt supported, they used an appliance hose rather than a rated gas line; code violation hell! Many many safety issues!They came out the next day and explained the person who did the install no longer worked for the company. However, the OWNER came out HIMSELF 2 years ago for a seperate issue and didnt report ANY problems with the install.The next day, they arrived 40-45 minutes late. No calls, no emails, no texts. Nothing. They addressed the issues, at least, I thought they did. However, I could smell gas around our house. We were cooking at the time, so I didnt think much of it. 2 more days pass, I still smell gas. I go to the meter, its running... constantly! I had a bad feeling.... I climb up on the roof and the new gas line WASNT EVEN BOLTED TOGETHER PROPERLY!! It was !!! LEAKING GAS !!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I ACTUALLY CANNOT BELIEVE IT. ARE YOU INSANE!?!? you didnt check for gas leaks before you left!? Before he came, I said Do you want me to shut off the main gas line?, he said: nahh, I think well be alright. Bunch of cowboys with no care or consideration for human health and safety. Out to make a quick buck. Its disgusting!! Absolutely disgusting!After raising a complaint and making my safety concerns known only 4 days earlier, then go and better themselves. This isnt a movie sequel, Im not sure why they are trying to excite the audience. The only victim here are the poor old folk that cannot climb onto their roofs and check out previous installs by this company.Their licence should be REVOKED!! I am SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a Platinum Maintenance contract with M and K Heating. I have a hydronic Aquatherm system which is not a common system. I had a problem after a new water heater was installed with the heat exchanger in the Aquatherm system. Michael and Orlando quickly identified the problem and were able to completely resolve the issue. Because of the maintenance contract, I was not charged a penny. They are very professional, very knowledgeable. and always wear booties inside the house and face masks. I had personally interviewed six other companies before going with M and K. I recommend M and K based on my personal experience with them. One of the best decisions I made.
This is an honest local business that will fix your unit and not just try to talk you into a new one. We had a problem with our heater sometimes shutting off in the middle of the night. M&K was able to diagnose and repair the unit for an extremely reasonable fee. They were also great at communicating when they would arrive and very respectful of my time. I think its important to recognize businesses that provide excellent service!
M&K sent over Michael to complete the first, of what will be many, semi-annual preventive maintenance tune-ups to my A/C. It is a very unusual system, but Michael had previous experience with it at the same condo development that I live at. Michael has over 40 years of experience in HVAC in Las Vegas. He spent the entire two hours inspecting and testing every aspect of the system and he described the purpose of each test. The system is 18 years old. In the end, he noted a few parts were rusted and a few test results that were near their limits, and he recommended that we both watch these parts. However, he did not try to sale or pressure me in to buying anything. He answered all my questions during the two hour time period and educated me on HVAC operations. It is a tremendous relief of mind to know that if anything were to happen to my A/C system, I could call M&K and they would send out Michael, or someone equally experienced, to fix it. You can take comfort knowing that you are getting honest and straight forward advice. Customer satisfaction is paramount. Should they do a repair in the near future, I know that I can trust their advice and trust that their work will be of the highest quality. Their prices are competitive, perhaps a little less than their major competitors, but service is outstanding. You will not regret going with M&K. This review is completely unsolicited.

They ask you to pay them more money to have it shipped from China QUICKER!! I have NEVER heard of a company charging its customers for quicker shipping from China. Thats just absurd!!!YOU buy from China, dont put faster shipping onto your customersGuy was also late arriving to fix, 45 mins late.10 year warranty means nothing when you are boiling for 1 month waiting for parts... Today was the second time they scheduled an appointment and had me take off work and no showed. They were supposed to arrive between 12-2 and I called at 130 to be told my parts were not in. The first time he was stuck at an appointment and they couldnt even call and let me know that. I once again called after the schedueld time to find out. Do not waste your time with them. The office lady didnt even try to make it right and hung up on me after trying to argue that it was never scheduled because she made the mistake.

Great company. They installed my whole home AC system last month. Fujitsu Airstage with 6 individual room Air handlers. And since they are a Fujitsu Elite dealer we get a 12 year warranty. Gotta love the M & K Heating and Cooling team. I would recommend them to everyone.
They did a job for me but they left the GAS LEAKING for 3 days!!!!!!When I told them, they said:Kathy HopeSir,We will of course replace a faulty gas flex. We, like every other contractor in the country rely on many parts that are manufactured in China and the quality is not always the best, but we have no choice in that matter. Im sure our technician checked to make sure it wasnt leaking when he was there and did the work, however, I will send him back over there tomorrow to replace it. We apologize for the inconvenience.WOW!
Can you imagine what it would be like with no AC in the Vegas heat? Make sure you call M and K, and it is unusual to get a last minute slot for last minute and get booked but from the phone call, dispatch, the job itself, and follow up here is a local company we can rely on so you dont have to wonder much longer how awful and unusual living with no AC is like! M&K came out right away to fix my A/C unit during the summer. I really appreciated the quick response time. They were honest, explained to me what was broken and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. The technician was able to get the part and fix the unit the same day. M&K service rep Michael Hope was very helpful in diagnosing a problem with my heat pump. He obviously was very knowledgeable and experienced, because he went right to the root of the problem. He was also very high tech savvy in his use of diagnostic tools. After replacing an electrical part on the condenser and recharging the Freon, the unit worked perfectly. Michael was very upfront about my repair and replacement cost options, since my unit is 20 years old. I would highly recommend M&K if Michael is typical of their service reps.
The best service and price in Las Vegas. In one of our rental properties we had a problem with the A/C and called one of the very large and well known A/C companies in town. I couldnt believe the prices I was quoted. They recommended replacing the entire unit for $7,000 or temporarily fixing the problem for $2700. I was so frustrated and mad feeling like they knew I needed to fix it, because it was August and 100 degrees. I posted on FB if someone knew a good honest A/C company and my friend recommended Kathy at M & K heating. They went by the property as soon as they could, let me know what was really happening and that the coil leak needed to be fixed. That it was a simple fix and would cost $700. They were able to fix it in the first visit. I was so so grateful for them, their honesty, their efficiency. M & K is the absolute best. They saved me thousands, treated me like I mattered, were honest and got the job done. Thank you Kathy and the entire M & K Heating and Cooling team.
M&K serviced my 30-year-old A/C unit until it could be saved no more, and I entrusted them to install a new unit for me in March. They did the job in one day without complication (a crane was needed since my unit is on the roof of a two-story house), and at a fair price. The servicemen were polite and very knowledgeable, and answered any questions I had. They even installed my new thermostat in a more desirable part of my house at my request. I do not hesitate to recommend them.
This review is a mixture from our tenant & us. I rent an upstairs condo. The air conditioner system wasnt that old but because of the new government regulations, we had to put in a new unit. Kathy & Mike couldnt have been nicer, she had their guys drop off a portable air conditioner until they could get the parts & air conditioner ordered. The text from our tenant Cristina, On instillation yesterday, the guys busted their butts the whole time in this impossible heatwave, 6 guys worked about 12 hours until finished. They had to basically custom build it so it would fit. They cleaned up & vacuumed too! They were all super nice & professional & made sure to double check everything. I would recommend M & K !
The gentleman who came (I forgot his name) was EXCELLENT. He checked everything that could have been wrong and figured it out quickly. He was courteous, professional and pleasant. Price was more than fair and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. I will certainly use them again if need be.
Called M & K in the morning due to having intermittent issues with my furnace, they came out same day and within 10 minutes had determined the problem. Fixed everything up and even took the time to look over the rest of the system to ensure everything was working properly. Found another issue and fixed it and verified that everything was good to go, as well as spent the time to explain the system and answer any questions I had. Definitely recommend M & K!
Stephen showed up on time, actually early and was very professional and efficient. I have been using M&K for years for maintenance on units in two different homes. They have always been completely honest and fair with their pricing. I have used M&K over the last couple years. Each time they have shown up in the time frame promised, fixed the unit right the first time and they charge a fair price. Technicians are able to diagnose the issue and they have had the parts on the truck to complete the repair in one visit. Nice to find an honest service company that you can rely on.
We found M&K Heating and Cooling by chance when the AC unit in our offices server room stopped working.They were listed on the manufacturers website as a Fujitsu authorized service provider.Kevin showed up promptly and had a new system up and running within a few hours.I called on them again when we received an estimate from another HVAC company to replace the AC unit in our high-end residential wine cellar including necessary major structural changes. The estimate was for $22,000. From the first person I talked to I was comfortable. Having your AC go out in August in Las Vegas is horrible. Getting the run around from the warranty company as well as the various technicians they were sending out all the while melting in your own home is infuriating. I finally took matters into my own hands after our so called warranty company let us down and called. Suzanne was the first person I talked to and she was sympathetic and kind. She offered a FREE second opinion (which surprisingly ended up truly being a FREE second opinion) and they were able to get someone out to me quickly. Dealing with an AC issue in mid summer is never good. I am so pleased that M&K could come to my rescue without feeling like I was making a deal with the devil. I feel they were honest and caring.

Our air conditioner failed during a recent hot spell. We are new to the area and had no idea who to contact. On recommendations found on the Nextdoor app, we chose to contact M&K Heating and Cooling. Of course they were overbooked. We chose to wait for them to have an available technician rather than contact another company. It was worth the wait. Their technician could not have been more knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant. Even the bill was reasonable. We will be looking to replace our 20 year old system and we will undoubtedly put M&K Heating and Cooling at the top of the list of potential contractors.
Prompt; Courteous; On time; Resolved the issue; Gave us some good information regarding what we could do to maintain our unit; Will definitely call again and would recommend them to our friends. Technician was capable and diagnosed and fixed the problem that afternoon. This was in the record heatwave of 2016. Cant say enough about M & K, they were great!!!

Rip off! Charged me 5 times the cost of a 1/2 hp motor. And thats with the annual contract discount. They charged me $337.00 for the exact same motor I found on Amazon for $71.00. This price doesnt include labor for installing the motor. I had to give it 1 star to complete this post but I wouldnt give any stars if it were possible to post without. Even after calling them to complain about the price, they wouldnt make any adjustments. Say good bye to my business and Im happy to write this review about a company that seeks to rip consumers off.
My first encounter with M &K was years ago when my AC unit failed. After calling another Company who said I needed a new unit and lots of roof work that would cost $8,000.00 I contacted M&K who fixed the motor for $300 + . My air cond went out and M&K prioritized a new compressor fan and installed in less than 24 hours. Great work.
Kevin was on time for our appointment and came prepared to diagnose the problem on my AC unit at Lake Mead. At the completion of the diagnostic testing he determined the fan motor was running over its rated amp capacity. This is causing the fan to shut down and not until the motor cools off, does it start back up again. I asked for a quote to replace the fan motor. This is where I became disappointed. Kevin took down all the motor data, went to his truck and came back with a price of over 500.00 dollars. I asked if he was sure on the price, he said he was, so I said thanks but no thanks, and sent him on his way. I went and purchased a new heavier duty motor for 133.00 and put it in myself.

Extremely honest and fair-priced heating and air conditioning company. When my heater went out for the first time two years ago another company said I needed to replace the unit. When I called M&K the receptionist listened to my description of the problem and said it sounded like ABC...Well, the technician diagnosed the problem and her first intuition was right.
