Once the temperature reached over 100 our AC went out. It was one of those Oh NO! moments. I was glad they were able to come out same day and arrived at 6pm and stayed until all systems checks had been made and we understood what to do and what to look for if it happened again. Basically - our air filters were pretty full (even though we change them 4x a year) and the coolant wasnt able to work. We had to turn the AC off for a few hours so the lines could defrost and work again. It was warm for 4 hours - but then it worked again!The tech advised we changed our filters every month in the summer - who knew!? Its so dusty and windy here, it can really clog things up. They checked back in with us the next day to make sure everything was working correctly. Was very glad and appreciative it was a fix and not a unit replacement. Thanks A-1 and especially to Doug for explaining everything in terms we could understand.

They came out for my systems check up and discovered I need a new capacitor. That $80.00 part will save me thousands in power costs and extend the life of my compressor. Thats why annual maintenance is sooooo important!Thanks Billy

Ive been using Brad and Jared for many years. I trust them. They have done wonderful work as well on both my AC (Electrical issue) and my furnace (cleaned and serviced). They are my go to for such issues and I have not been disappointed.

Showed up at 3:50. Gave me an estimate that was unacceptable and told me that any time after 4/00 PM would be overtime. My window was given to be 12:00-4:00. I was NEVER told about overtime. But, when you show up at 3:50 and announce that in ten minutes the cost of labor just doubled. Very unhappy. Do not use the company. Total ripoff.

We just had our commercial AC unit serviced by William G. at A1 - highly recommended! He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest. He was able to get our AC up and running in just a few minutes. Prior to A1 we had another company come out 3 times to fix the unit - only to leave us with hot air, and open panel, and a ridiculous estimate to fix it. Thank you William, we are no longer suffering in 108 degree heat without AC!

A-1 has been great to deal with. They always have a technician out quickly when we have an issue. Ramon is the best technician. He is great at giving us all the options for work that needs to be done and getting our a/c system working.

We just had a new HVAC system installed by a1. Brennan and Nick were amazing, professional, giving us the best pricing and warranty out of three top companies in our city. I have nothing but the highest recommendations for A-1 Mechanical! Not only did they send technicians out in a timely way (and with the A/C out on a Nevada summer day, that says a lot), but the technicians, Ramon and Jesus, were knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. They fixed the issue in no time and had us cool as cucumbers enjoying an icy margarita. Hooray for A-1, Ramon, and Jesus!

My air conditioner stopped working on a 100 plus degree day with very high humidity. I called A-1 Mechanical and scheduled an appointment for a repair technician. The technician guy (William Grogins) he showed up on time and immediately diagnose the problem. He put together a quote to replace the fan motor and start capacitor and once I agreed his runner brought the new parts to my business while the technician was removing the old parts. The repair was done quickly and efficiently and everything works great. He did great job! 😄

Jose came out to repair our swamp coolers and was very polite and professional. He fixed the swanp cooler in a very timely manner. I would recommend Jose.

I called for service because my AC was blowing hot air. A1 had a tech out within a few hours. The tech named William Grogin knew exactly what to do after few test my AC was back up and running. Excellent service I would recommend William.

What a dishonest company, tried to charge double for the a service that would cost half of the price, is not ethical to use the hot weather of the Las Vegas weather as opportunity to rip the customers off, specially if the customers have kids inside of the house. CROOKS!!!!!!!!

Just had a new Daikin unit installed to replace a failing unit. I had 3 bids presented and by far, A-1 Mechanical had the best process starting with an onsite inspection by an estimator not a service technician, followed up by an immediate onsite estimate, and then a subsequent written estimate that was extremely detailed and professional. Once I chose them, they were able to schedule the install in two days (would have been one had I not accepted so late in the day). The installation was by three installers who ONLY focus on installations and they were knowledgeable, professional, and all-around very nice guys. The job was QCed and was explained to us what was done and what was checked. Lastly, manuals were turned over and warranty work to be submitted by A-1 with a e-sign off by myself to ensure full warranty coverage. Overall a great experience! Looking forward to no AC issues for many years!

Service Technician Ramon V. has to be one of the most knowledgeable HVAC technicians Ive met in the 10 plus years that I have been in my field!!! He always explains to a T what is the issue with the unit and what its going to take to repair it.

Words like appalling, and disgraceful come to mind as I write this review, detailing my personal experience with the dirty business practices I was just subjected to.I started with A-1 in March of 2012, on a monthly service contract, where they would change the filters in my 12 roof units every month.Come June, when the weather got really hot, the units werent keeping up. As an experiment, to keep these things running as smoothly as possible, I asked if we could amend our contract to change the filters every 2 weeks instead of every 4, to insure maximum airflow. They said yes, and quoted me a much higher price because it was double the work. I understood and agreed, so they tore up the old contract, and wrote me a new one.(Ultimately, it didnt make any difference at all in the efficiency of the units, so in retrospect, it was a bad idea.)So we rode it out, almost until the end of the year, but oddly, they didnt show up for either of their scheduled December visits, then called today, (on 1/11) to schedule the filter change. (Mind you, I pre-pay for changes every 2 weeks, and as of today, they havent been here in 6 weeks!!)OK, so I go up on the roof and check the filters, to see if they were clogged after 6 weeks without a change, and they were actually very clean. In fact, they probably dont need to be changed again for another couple of weeks.So I told A-1 that they didnt need it, and that Id like to switch my service back to monthly, being that we are essentially changing new filters every 2 weeks, and that was wasteful and unnecessary. They told me they couldnt do that, because I signed a bi-weekly contract, and that I had pre-paid through April.I told them that we could switch to monthly, and just extend the pre-paid contract to out a bit so that everything was equal. (Same number of filter changes, just over a longer duration)They told me that they couldnt do that, because I had signed a contract. So the customers actual needs did not matter here, they had a signed contract.Mind you, they had no problem amending the contract last June, when doing so meant more money for them. So it is something that they CAN do, they are just choosing not to.I am so disappointed in how utterly dirty this was to do to me, that I am abandoning the money that I had pre-paid them through April, and firing them on general principle.So they can keep my Jan-April money, and since they never showed up in December, I suppose they got over on me there too.But life is long, a different company will enjoy my money for the rest of my life.

Atrocious. Charged us for multiple visits and never solved the problem or completed the work we paid for. I would not recommend A-1 to fix a birdhouse.

A-1 was here on time. Ramon set up at test to find the leak in our system and made sure the a/c system is working until we can repair the system

I first called @ 11:59am and told them my problem and the person took all my info and gave me the window of 12-4pm same day. I was quoted $80 for the service call. At 1:45 received message that Tech was on his way, Tech arrived @ 2:45. Tech fixed my problem and when the bill came he said that labor was $120, not $80 as initially quoted on phone.

Horrible customer service, messed up my appointment time and then wont come out to fix the a.c. that they have repaired 5 times already.

Tech was informative, honest and a pleasure!
