Went to Frandor Barbershop in the 70s when I was a kid, with Tony and Paul. Joel has done a super job with it in the new location. Brandon is my goto stylist and hes the best.

The gents at this shop are always in a pleasant mood and make good conversation. Shop is always clean and haircuts are always on point. Been my go to barber for three years now.

In town for work and pretty picky about hair people but I wanted to try these guys - a little wait to get up to a chair but super glad I waited. Joel gave me my cut and literally had the shape of cut and beard trim to simply say “I’ll have what you’ve got!”End result was perfect for the cut and the price was surprisingly low- now I wish I wasn’t just in town for work, I wish I could frequent this spot!

Ive been going to Frandor barbers for 13 years. Haircuts are fine, but its lost its price competitive edge after continual price increases. Not sure if I can justify it much longer. Part of me misses the hole in the wall with the old barbers feeling it had when I started going.

I took my 3 year old son in today for a haircut. While not his first haircut, it was our first time there and it was a great experience. Joel cut my sons hair and he took his time making sure my son was comfortable and that we were able to get as close as possible to what I had wanted with my sons hair. His hair Cut looks great and we will be back for future cuts.

Have been coming to this shop to get my hair cut ever since I was back in high school. The barbers have changed but the quality of service has not . They always cut my hair they way I prefer it done and always get the military discount.

Great service! Friendly barbers, gave a great medium-length mens haircut with a nice hard part. Wanted to keep the length on top so they focused on shaping the sides and thinning out the bulk. Looking sharp and much more manageable. Very pleased! Price was perfect, these guys are on point. Definitely will be coming back

Great guys, always satisfied with their work, reasonable pricing, very professional...honestly, my only complaint is that I wish they would post a notice if their shop is going to be closed on certain days. Ive shown up at least twice on Saturday morning and the door would be locked with no note in the door indicating why theyre closed or if they would be open that day. Im happy to give you guys my money, I just dont like sitting in your parking lot for a half hour waiting for someone to show up. At least answer the phone!Having said that, it really is a great place to get a haircut, and I do plan on being a repeat customer for the foreseeable future.

Informal classic style barber shop. Love this place. Even though I work quite a ways away from it now I still make the drive to Frandor barber shop because I like the place so much. My only complaint about it is that theyre getting more popular than they once were when they were in the basement in Frandor which means longer wait times. Cant keep a good thing a secret forever.

Boy, one trip in here starts with a less than exciting experience. Braden, or Brandon, or whatever his name was, was a pretty unskilled barber. What I asked for could not have been easier. I left with uneven patches all over the place. I waited a couple of weeks hoping for it to grow out, but eventually went somewhere else to have it cut professionally. So, Im afraid, if I ever do return to this place that guy will be coming nowhere near me or my hair.

Fantastic establishment of professional barbers that do great work. The staff is not only personable but interacts with each customer, new or returning in an intimate way. The hair cuts are always with the customer in mind, taking the time required to ensure that the customer is perfectly content before leaving. Would highly recommend to anyone close to myself, and have been going for over 3 years personally.

The only thing that could make this barber shop better would be dancing girls - as long as the girls dont want their hair cut. This barber shop doesnt cut girls hair whether they dance or not.

Gary has cut my hair for more than 10 years in 3 different shops. I even used to drive from Kalamazoo to see him. I wont go anywhere else!!

These barbers know what they are doing. My grandson has a troublesome cowlick but these guys always cut his hair to look its best and we have been everywhere. Pricing is very reasonable. It is a simple shop, nothing extravagant, which is fine, who needs all that pretentious snobbery? You can pay more and go to a glitzy salon or get a precision cut and style here and still afford lunch.

Best barder shop in town and most of michigan. I have yet to find better and pretty sure i never will. Pretty sure its my sons barber for life.

We drive the 45 minutes there and back home again because my 6 year old son has determined that Gary is his barber for life and Joel is my fiancees. Good thing they are young. WISH we could talk them into becoming traveling barbers.

Hack jobs on kids. I took them to Great Clips to get fixed. So disappointed. Also the barbers took smoke breaks between customers and didnt wash hands afterwards, which I found to be very unprofessional as well as unsanitary. Money wasted and will not be returning.

Customer since 2002. This shop is old school all the way. If you like the barbershop scene in Gran Torino, this is the shop for you. WAY lower prices than the fake new school places that try to upsell you with hot towels and massages but hide in fear and send you away if you ask for a flat top. A true Lansing gem.

I really like the new location off of Clippert. Same quality cuts. All the guys who work here really know their way around a set of clippers and are speedy enough to give a princeton to a 4 year old. Great with kids!

The guys at the barbershop cut hair. They do it professionally. Sometimes a crybaby gives ambiguous direction and, instead of ending up looking like Rock Hudson or M&M, they come out a little shorter in the head. The great thing about hair is, it grows back. So whats the worst that can happen? You find out what you look like, what kind of person you are, and all for a very reasonable price.I couldnt recommend this place any higher. They do OUTSTANDING work.
