Jordan Henke was extremely quick to respond to my inquiry, he reached out to me by phone not 10 minutes after submitting a form on their website. He answered my question about a possible residential joist problem with what I believe was an honest answer. Trust is an important factor in the repair industry and I will be reaching out to Beyler first for any future needs.

I’ve worked for them as an employee and they’ve worked for me and our clients. Being a civil, structural, and survey professional is very difficult and important work. I highly respect everyone of them. When we have disagreements or conflict they are completely fair, honest, and responsive. Thank you for your hard work.

Used Beyler consulting for site planning and engineering for a new home build. I am a first time home builder and they have been very helpful at getting me through the process of designing and engineering our home and getting plans ready to submit for our building permit. Their surveyors were very helpful in getting me through a snag with our title company when we were buying the land. They have been very responsive and helpful as we work through our project.

I would like to thank your company personnel at the customer services division for their excellent support. Your personal project assistant, Christa Johnson took care of all my queries in a jiffy. She also provided timely and helpful advice regarding the time frame for my site visit. Christa was extremely attentive and she listened to all my concerns with a great deal of patience. She also ensured that I received all the information regarding the mode of payment to the company and the time by which I would expect the letter of recommendations from visiting engineer. As a first owner I was nervous but she was able to come me down by answering most of my question with a lot of confidence and hope. She also solved the problem regarding the service charges which I faced. She has a caring approach and she is a true professional. Please accept my gratitude towards her and your customer care staff for their speedy and efficient services. I was able to complete the transaction within 2 days thanks to their attentive and alert presence. I would especially like to commend Christa for her professionalism and superlative skill.Your customer,Robert Gitonga.

Since beginning here Ive found the staff to be very friendly and focused on my needs. Started with a short plat and decided to stay for the works (utility/grading plans, house plans, etc). The original estimate was straightforward and fair and through the several months that Ive worked with them, they have not deviated from it. Being a layman myself, I am appreciative to be able to associated with so many professionals that can get this project done correctly using my thoughts and feedback.

I would not recommend using this company. We hired them for site plan/survey. Their pricing was very high, but I thought Id be paying for quality work. Unfortunately, their work was not quality. They took forever to schedule--blaming staffing shortages/turnover. It took them 3 times to even get the site plan to match architectual drawings, they showed drain fields running uphill. Im not an engineer and even I as alay person, was able to see their mistakes. Then they up- charged and added in ridiculous fees that they label as admin fees. When I questioned these fees I was told it was for calling and scheduling the work to be done. These were hundreds of dollars in fees for making phone calls?!Trust me, save the headache and use another company!

Landon has accomplished an outstand job well within our budget, by re-engineering design plans from an out of state contractor to meet our local Pierce County building codes, which passed without any trouble. Elizabeth also did an amazing job of communication when the plans were ready. We are now planning a parcel split and design plans for our five acres that is zoned residential with a view to offering it to builders.-Thank you Beyler Consulting!

Do not hire this company. I originally hired them to send an engineer to determine if my home was structurally sound. The engineer made a comment that the floor joists were oddly spaced, and, among other things they would check to see if this was fine. Fast-forward a week and I receive a findings letter with no reference to the floor issue. Their response to me was: ...the original building plans should have been approved for spacing...and okd by the building inspector during construction. They gave me the option of crawling into the basement to send them pictures of lumber stamps to double check. So I crawl around in the basement, after I had recent surgery, and cant fine what they are requesting. Apparently, according to them, I only hired them to determine if the structure was sound, inferring that I did not hire them to check the floors. The staff is very friendly, but I didnt pay $600.00 for friendship.

We encountered a few hiccups and I expressed my concerns. Landon did an exceptional job at addressing matters and worked through a resolution with us. We are very pleased to be done with this stage of the project. Thank you.

Beyler took over my project after they merged with another company. Initially, I was satisfied with the contract to finish my short plat and the work that they completed in a timely manner. However, everything changed when I needed additional work and we agreed to do it under Time and Material; thats when I noticed a big change.Simple things werent done such as setting corners for my survey. The majority of my survey was already completed by the other company except for my corners not being set. So far, Ive paid approx. 3x more than Ive ever paid for an incomplete survey and it took a lot longer. Ive never seen a company have to set up multiple lasers and still fail to set corners on more than one occasion. How many site visits does it take to complete a survey? After the last site visit, I had to tell them that I wasnt paying them any more money for my corners to be set. I still dont know if all of my corners are set, but Ive gotten a bill and a friendly reminder that Im past due. Ive never received a call or email advising that all of my corners are now set and my survey is complete. What ever happened to getting paid when the work is done?? They also like to overcharge for Professional Personnel services when its T&M. I started to feel like I couldnt call or email as I would be charged at least $100. Im familiar with the short platting process. I was very involved and even completed my Work Order requirements myself due to how my project was being handled. The average person may not know what to expect from a civil engineer. Ive had the opportunity to work with several engineers and Beyler turned an easy project into a headache.I could go on and on about delays and more charges for simple redline corrections to my short plat map, but Im done and Ill NEVER use Beyler for anything again. If I ever need a short plat or survey done in the future, Ill go back to the last company that completed my surveys on time and on budget. Ill also NEVER agree to Time and Material again. When I first started with Beyler, they were growing and had moved into a new building. Somewhere in the process of the move and merger, they forgot about why they needed more space in the first place. In my opinion, they forgot about how to treat their clients. Learn from my mistake. If I can save one person from going through what I experienced, it was worth me writing this review.

While adding on to our home, we indicated to Beyler that the pitch of the roof of the addition was to match that of the existing roof. In the plans that Beyler drew up and gave to us, that we then submitted to have our trusses prefabricated, the pitch was wrong and did not match the existing roof. It cost a lot of time and money in labor and materials, and in reordering the trusses and waiting for them we missed much of our window to get our home dried-in before it began to rain a lot as summer came to an end, and caused much more time and trouble trying to get everything dried once we were able to complete our roof. Money spent on propane and heaters and labor to cover the removal of the incorrect trusses and installation of the correct ones, as well as $1500 spent on the incorrect trusses (that are now sitting in our driveway) has all been so much stress in addition to trying to remodel our home. Multiple emails and phone calls havent received any response.

We had Beyler Consulting complete an “as is build” for us on a house we were planning to remodel. Our goal was to determine the load bearing walls.First it took a number of emails to get the completed plans. We weren’t living in the home at the time so the design wasn’t holding us up but felt communication was missing when they couldn’t meet the timeline they had set.Jump ahead 3 years. We had a number of emails and phone calls about what services they could provide. We are now living in the home and looking closely at the design. To be fair, this house was not an easy house to re-engineer. I questioned two walls they had marked as load bearing, the response was one was correct and the other was an error. Also was told the plans were best guess since the walls weren’t opened.“The walls marked as bearing walls were a best guest at the time we put the as-builts together and it is possible that walls we have marked as bearing may not be. This is due to the fact that no framing was exposed when we put these as-builts together so we made our best educated guesses based on the layout of the house.”At no time during the initial process were we told the drawings maybe not be correct. I really thought we were paying for correct and complete information. Guess I was wrong.Update: After this review I was contacted by Beyler Consulting. We had started to remove some of the sheetrock so we could see the structure. They offered to come back to the house and review their previous as-is built since the walls were opened up. Elizabeth came out and was very helpful and informative about the load bearing walls. She is going to update the as-is build document and send it back out to us. I appreciate that they followed up and were willing to come back out. She was also going to provide quotes and timeline for next steps.
