I wish Wisteria Walk would be more consistent in cracking down on people leaving their garbage outside of their apartment doors. I am talking about people who put their bags and bags of nasty garbage outside of their apartment doors. These people leave it there for days and days sometimes over a week until they finally decide to take it to the garbage cans. It draws flies. Everyone has to either step over it or has to go around it as it blocks the walkways. I live here too. Why should other tenants have to put up with their grossness and laziness.

Management is terrible, there are fights both verbal and physical almost everyday outside. Constant police presence. The buildings are cheaply made and not well maintained. My cabinets are hung uneven, they didnt install a track on any drawer in the house so all of them fall out when opened (They painted over a bread clip in my kitchen drawer). I have two of the burners on my stove pulled out as when turned on one of them gets so hot itll burn anything and the other piece just doesnt work. I cant bake anything as the oven is spotty with heating. Ive asked as well as put in service requests for my bathroom fan to be fixed which hasnt worked since Ive been here, and my fridge to be truly repaired as they have duct tape and putty holding my fridge door together. Its been 10 months and its still not fixed..... they have three laundry rooms, but only keep one of them is open and at the most inconvenient of times while everybody is at work, over vandalism that hasnt happened in a long time. So basically youre paying for amenities you dont get. All in all my recommendation would be if youre looking for a decent place to live, this is not it

The management doesnt bother to call you back when you leave a message on the phone. They say they will respond promptly but that is a lie. They never called me back.l left a message through rent cafe but they dont bother to call me. Plus they NEVER answer the phone. Why do they bother even having a phonet? Thanks for a lot for nothing.

**Update** This manager acts like a child. She screams at her employees in front of us...Those guys work hard, I dont know why anyone would scream at another adult like that in a work setting. She makes this entire community feel some kind of way. I look forward to when my lease is up. Dont come looking for a place here, youll regret it.They have new Management and new Maintenance. The Manager and Maintenance team are professional and helpful.The leasing girl is a rude and unprofessional. The grounds look better now and things are actually being done around here!

Under new management and I’m happy they are there! I was provided a lot of information and the hospitality was exceptional. Due to COVID if I could I would give Makayla a hug ! She made me feel welcomed I look forward to becoming a tenant

This is in recognition and high praise to Mikela for her dedication to solve a technical problem. She took the time to use her skills and stay with me until every detail was reconciled. This proves that whenever she has the resources and means available problems in the apartments will be corrected. However some problems require the immediate approval and support of upper management. Such as violent tenants needing removal and repairs of laundry amenities . If the financial/ legal department slow walks necessary requisitions for fundamental functions of domicile well being they make Mikela the scapegoat of legitimate tenant frustration . The dysfunction that Avenue 5 inherited is of no fault to them. Not acting swiftly to fix the issues by not giving Mikela what she needs to do so is ! More hours, finances, and resources are a must to work out the inefficiencies. I know Mikela can do this and in as polite a way as possible you need to know it too. Please give her what she needs. Lets make this happen.

Well other than some untitled old women harassing not just me but anyone they can and because they have rude unprofessional people help them out. other than that issue its been great living here. I plan on staying. I am very happy here. I plan on staying for awhile.

I have been living in Wisteria Walk since December 2017 and I am very ready to leave. When I got my apartment, it was supposed to be refurnished, but some of the construction (countertops, door) are kind of shabby and even some outlets are installed crooked. My door has a crack at the bottom and neither of my two windows have screens, so sugar ants get into my apt during the summer.The neighbors are a whole other thing. There is sometimes random trash around the apartments and shopping carts left on the walkways. People constantly fight outside and loudly in their apartments and children play outside unattended.

I went in today to check on availability, it was a really nice girl in the office. She was pretty informational. She just didnt know if they rent to felons so if anyone knows can you please post it . I would rather know before I spend money for a credit check.

I used to work here, didnt think it was that bad. It is a Tax credit property which just means the allow poor people to live there so the government gives them a credit.But my grandma came to get an apartment there, and her words were only a roach would want to live there.A lot of cigarette butts on the property, and people dont put their trash in the bin. Some go as far as putting it in bushes, but as far as the inside it is what you make it right.

Great staff! Always a helpful lady in the office when I need one. Courteous, professional and always smiling! 10/10 would rent again!

Lived there for five years. Employees there are rude and does a really bad job. They would friend you then talk bad bout you. They really need to shut this whole place down. Five people died there when I lived there overdoses and accident deaths. It is really depressing. Im so happy I got my family out of there. Drug attics walking around early in the morning nights. I would not recommend nobody to live there. Bad experience for me please dont put your family through that. Its cheap for a reason.

Its right on the freeway so you get non stop road noise all day and all night. There is a lot of police activity there and loud rude fighting people all over the complex. If you have guests the security personnel will harasse them making them feel uncomfortable. Plus like all places in Pierce County people here are afraid of trash. No One picks it up and if they drop any they just it where it lays. There are only 2 good things about this Apartment Complex 1) There is ample parking and 2) you can have pets. Even Put Bulls.

DONT MOVE HERE: Severely understaffed, usually have to ask for repairs consistently when its needed and even then its not guaranteed youll get them until months or even a year later. naborhood pretty bad, had a shooting happen out here along with a few cases of physical abuse and drug usage next door that went on for a bit over a year. installation was really bad in bedroom and I got sick from the mold that kept coming back a few times. Plus rent slowly boots up as you live here till you owe round 1,000 for one month.Its bad enough that the rats dont even WANT come here...

My little family and I have lived here for nearly a year now and words cant describe how much we are looking forward to leaving once our lease is up. I am literally counting down the days.When we first moved in we had maintenance problems right away fridge broke a few times, lights constantly went out, stove and oven could not be used at the same time.Expect noisy and troublesome neighbors. The cops and ambulance are here at least 3x a week. People are up and loud at all hours of the night. I do not recommend anyone with young kids live here because it does not feel like a safe environment to live in. We stayed to ourselves and rarely spoke to anyone. It seems like there are no rules of regulations or any kind of structure to keep folks in check. There are a lot of kids who run around and play but they are loud, rude, misbehave and constantly leave trash making the place look like an even bigger dump. Seems like none of them have parents to discipline by the way they run around here. They often got into arguments with the older residents which always caused a big scene. For only living here a year we have had almost three different neighbors above us move in and out who were all very loud all day and night.The place itself had new flooring and carpet which we really appreciated. I think some of the pros is the manager Jaclyn, she is very sweet and does her best managing the apartment, kudos to her for dealing with all the kinds of people living here and the available parking spaces was always a plus especially if you ever had company over.Overall the pros dont nearly weigh out the cons so I do not recommend anyone living here unless you have thick skin and simply dont care about the cleanliness and obnoxious neighbors because the price is pretty damn good which is what sucked us in, in the first place.

Do. Not. Rent. Here! Unless you like silver fish, mold, troublesome maintenance crews, rude management, police in and out the complex, trash.... the list literally goes on. I understand needing an affordable place but PLEASE do not rent here. You will absolutely dread that decision. It would be better to find a room mate and live under those conditions than to try to survive here alone.Stories:1. Maintenance men: Broke into my apartment while I was in the shower (did not have a work order), when I heard them, I turned the shower off and they ran out, leaving my front door wide open. I asked my neighbor if they saw anyone running out of my house just now, they said “Only the maintenance man!” On another occasion, they dropped my $200 flat iron in the toilet while trying to fix it, didn’t say anything, put it with the attached bag along with wet brushes and combs on my sink to dry, which is not where it was left (AND THEY STILL NEVER FIXED THE TOILET). Another occasion, they walked by my window talking to one another saying, “I can’t wait to tow her car,” so they kept putting stickers on my car for being illegally parked when there were others parked in the same spots illegally because there was nowhere else to park (I was the only one receiving illegally parked stickers). I addressed this situation with the manager, that was useless (so I began removing the stickers off of my vehicle and stuck them to the office window), she then wanted to talk about it.... ha!2. Manager was a straight up manipulative slum lord. I reported a hole in my ceiling (1 x 1 foot) and told her that rain, black mold, and ceiling particles were falling through the hole, my carpet was soaked. She refused to call an inspector to check out the living conditions so I planned to break my lease and ditch that hell hole. She said if I get a doctors note I could break my lease. I take time off of work and pay out of pocket for a doctor visit who says these are unsafe conditions and bad for my health. I take the paperwork back and she tells me that she never said I needed a doctors note because that isn’t reason enough to break the lease!

They have people here who threaten elderly people who are sick. Loud always trying to make people miserable here. Cant even take out your pet with out trouble uncontrolable kids loud adults place is going to hell in a hen basket an they have the nerve to raise rent. An dont fix anything. I broke my ankle one time because no lights on the stairwell.

This place is a joke. The make you pay 38$ per person to apply you give them all the paperwork before hand and they tell you everything is fine before you waste your money. Then after you pay to apply they tell you that they looked closer at the paperwork and too bad. They are rude and dont let you talk when you are trying to get information. Dont waste your time go somewhere else.

I have lived here for a little over a year. I must say, if you absolutely loathe someone, recommend this place. But if you have friends and value that friendship steer them far from here.This place is full of crazy, loud and violent people. I was just threatened with violence last night and for months was harassed by a mentally ill woman who kept calling me satan and damning me to hell while holding a photo of her mothers coffin against her forehead. Children run around riding bikes, scooters, skateboards etc., up and down the walkways screaming and yelling, unsupervised, all hours of the day and night.Ive lost count of how many managers weve had. Ive had the fog lights on my car broken from kids throwing rocks. Again, unsupervised.The police are here almost every day as is security. This is not a safe place to live. It is not, in any way quiet, or nice.There are a few good people here but youre not likely to meet them as they stay inside to avoid all the drama. And did I mention the drunks and the drug addicts?Just do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere if you want to preserve your sanity and safety.

These are the worst of the worst,every month is a new surprise:late fees even though rent is payed promptly,Shure they credit it back but only after they make you pay it TF.The staff has a severe lack of acountabillity issue,they never fix anything and try to place blame on the tenants because its not in the budget.they never return your calls,unless its to make threats to you for saying theres an issue,the office ladys are verry disrespectfully and never have I been treated as such anywere ever,low income or otherwise.

Been here since February. Worst place imaginable. Theres trash everywhere, young kids run around unsupervised, teens out late making tons of noise and flashing lights into apartments. Maintenance takes forever to come fix things if they show up at all. Their accent walls they boast about are puke green. Neighbors are disrespectful, not caring who they disturb talking loudly at all hours, stomping around so much your lights shake and blasting unsavory music that is just innapropriate while kids are around and when people are trying to sleep. The playground is a splinter trap and cops are showing up CONSTANTLY for various things. Just this past week someone got a hold of someones dog while they were gone and nearly killed the poor thing. This place is overpriced for what you get, and low income is just a joke. You pay the average Tacoma rent price for a less than average place. Lower income requirement to qualify is all they have to justify being called low income. This is the most unsafe place you could possibly be. Please, find somewhere, ANYWHERE else.

Poor management, slow maintenance response time, fire trucks and police on property often, drug activity and questionable tenants...now a family environment and no amenities for a hefty rent cost

They dont care about the tentants. its the 29th and i called to find out how much my electric bill is going to be and they said sorry i cant help you. like what the hell ? you are in the office. either donit or find someone that could help me. paid rent on time and got 2 letters saying pay or vacate, which i had 2 types of proof showing i paid. price is not worth to live here. its gross. and theres no one in the office that could actually help with ones problems. after hours maintenance never comes to fix anything because supposedly its not an emergency. like what the hell if all the power in the kitchen went out i need it fixed unless you plan on replacing my spoiled food. also had problems with my toilet over flowing amd leaking. didnt wanna come fix it either. just horrible. find somewhere else to live!!

I moved here about six months ago. There new manager Jacqulineis doing a great job getting rid of problem residents .

This complex is one of the dirtiest I have ever seen!They pay to have lawnservice,the guys go through there cut what they want, blow the garbage to corners of fences and buildings and call it a day!!The maintenance man tries his hardest to keep it up!,its kinda hard when he doesnt have the right tools and resources to do so!Garbage is everywhere!they wont even allow garbage cans for outsides miscelaneious garbage!instead they have four big cans in one corner in back of building IN THE DARK,no security lights,I think of the elderly people who can not walk that far and disabled,what are they supposed to do,really!!oh and the garbage area itself is a health hazard fire hazard drowning hazard and whatever else hazard you can think of its most horrible excuse for a complex!Im not even gonna start on what kind of neighbors we have,my god,,,Im surprised the city has not deemed us a NUISANCE TO SOCIETY and close them down!!!
