Although during COVID some things changed like access to pool etc, the apartments have been great. Management isn’t overbearing, the maintenance team is ON TOP OF THINGS. I put in a request to fix something and within the next day I was receiving calls and messages on times appropriate for me. They came out and fixed my issue super quick and was polite and respectful. Overall a good place to live especially if you are on a budget or want to save money. The community is just a bunch of active duty soldiers and families.
I been living here since December 2018 to present and never had an issue. Maintenance is on top of everything. When i either call or put in a work order i get a response within the day and the communication with them is amazing. If their busy and waiting on parts i get a call about the status. Im never left hanging. Maintenance is what kept me and my family here.
The ovens werent clean there was water everytime and the roof kept giving big pumps of water falling offBad its cheap but bad plus not fully sanitized
If you care about your well being and safety I wouldn’t move here at all, the price isn’t worth it, it’s cheap for a reason. And if you decide to move anyway make sure you’re strapped.
Today there was an abnormal amount of rain for the area. I called emergency maintenance at 7AM. First of all, they answered immediately. They were so quick to respond to everyones calls who had the same water problem on the first floor. The maintenance men were quick to repair the water damage to our unit (within a couple hours). They power vacuumed all the water outside and cleaned our carpets. The staff were really patient and super friendly to my husband and I. Thank you for being good to us 😊
Had me approved fast. Went somewhere else and got my holding free back.
Where do I start? My husband and I lived in these apartments for 2 years and I have to say it was bad. For the first year, we lived in a 3 bedroom - then they increased the rate drastically by over $100 so we downsized to a 2 bedroom. (At this time, we stayed because our son was going to school in the district.) Then they increased the rent again but over $100. So we moved. But regardless, we needed to get out of there.I could list a whole bunch of reasons why this place was terrible - front office staff has no communication between each other so we were constantly getting the wrong information. The fitness room was closed on multiple occasions when it was supposed to be open. There was always garbage everywhere, especially in the kids playground area. etc. etc. etc. I could keep going. But my main issue with this place is the lack of professionalism from the Manager. When we moved into the 2 bedroom, there was a miscommunication between their staff about our security deposit. We were told at signing that we didnt need to pay a security deposit, but when we had gone in to pay for our first months rent. We were told we had to pay the first months rent along with a $1000+ security deposit. When we tried to resolve this issue, the manger told us that it didnt matter what was on the contract and gave us 3 days to pay or we would get an eviction notice. Already stressed our with the move - we contacted a lawyer. The lawyer had told us that they were wrong and that they were not allowed to do that because nothing overrides a written contract signed by both parties. We set up an appointment with the manager - but when we showed up, she was not there. One of the women at the front office called her and I spoke to the manager on the phone. She told me that she was sick and had a meeting at a different property. But when we hung up the phone - the woman at the front office told us she actually forgot about the meeting. We rescheduled for the next day. We thought it was going to be a civil meeting to speak about our concerns, we even had a professional letter printed out stating what had happened and what we felt should be done. But when we sat down with the manager, she didnt care to hear what we had to say - nor did she care to read the letter. Never have I dealt with someone so unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. All in all these apartments are poorly made, the appliances need to be upgraded, the property is dirty and the rent is expensive and not worth it at all. I would not refer anyone to stay here, not even my worst enemy.
I had the pleasure of living here a year and I dont know about many people but I think the character and the professionalism in this office made my stay so awesome . I had a saddness when I had to leave. These guys went above and beyond my expectations when I went through a lot of things they were there for me I dont know what your experience has been but it was an awesome place for me to live sorry to see them no longer being my property managers I would love to work them one day and. Thank you ladies in the office and for a fabulous maintenance team.
Wouldn’t move here again .. the rent is too expensive for what they have to offer . These apartments are cheaply made and maintance never fix the problems so I just stopped asking . The parking is probably the worse thing about these apartments. People and neighbors are kind and nice . The office people kinda seem like they have attitudes so I don’t even bothier, there always working on something in these apartments so you hear a lot of construction in the morning .
Cant use amenities without being harassed have to park across the apartment just to see my sister
This management is the worst I have ever dealt with. Pretending to take down repair orders, denying any wrong doing when called on the pretending.Nothing but attitude from office assistance.Main sreet facing walls, are the only thing in good repair.Do not expect much, more little to nothing when you have question and/or concerns.
If your into your whole house breaking every time you sneeze or waking up at 2am to a screaming baby that’s not even yours?then this is the place for you!Don’t live here. I made the mistake and didn’t read the reviews. EVERYTHING they said is true. It looks nice in the inside but after living here it’s problems after problems after problems. It doesn’t end until your least is up.
This place is ridiculous... not only do I hand deliver a money order to be done with their asses... but they put my ass in collections along with my girlfriend for the exact same thing I went and had delivered that payment for... and this is only the latest of a long long long line of problems Ive had with these apartments over the years.. now theyre allowing drug dealers and gun runners live there and they do absolutely nothing about it... wonderful management there... its a joke.. do yourself a favor and dont bother...
Where do I start with this apartment complex. You pay cheap you get cheap. Apartment itself is poorly made. Papers from restaurants were left on the stairways for weeks. Had solicition knocking on my door at least 3-4 times a month. Neighbors above us partied every single weekend for months and security never took any action. Spoke with management several times and nothing ever changed. If you plan to move here and have a family stay clear of this place! Only plus of this complex is that its enrolled in the RPP program for military folk.
This apartment is ran as if the mob owned it. They skirt the edges of what is technically legal, bully their residents when they stand up for themselves, and their office manager is a compulsive liar that sounds like she would make a fantastic PR director for a tobacco company. The words pathological liars comes to mind. There are ignificant issues with security and building code compliance here. Every building here on site had major building code violations by neglecting to maintain the buildings causing the residents of these units to lose their storage space and balcony but still somehow finding it justifiable to charge those residents full rent. The apartment complex knew full well about the substandard conditions and put residents safety at risk until several residents complained to the city about the dangerous conditions. On the 19th Of November at around 8 p.m. at the city hall meeting in Lakewood, a city official stated that they were considering Red taping the whole property unless Merrill Creek Apartments got its act together quickly.I would definitely say do not use the online bill pay because itll turn around and screw up. It will say that you made the payment but your bank will not reflect it and itll bounce back on you. Then when you try to do the responsible thing and just pay them with it cashier check, they will try to post it to your account later and hit you with a non sufficient funds which will set you back another $50 on top of it. The pool is open maybe, if youre lucky, a few times a year, its just something to look at. It takes a good deal of time to get any maintenance done, and the maintenance people are not exactly what I would call friendly, neither are the front office staff. The rickety wooden fence that they call security, is laughable as it is literally falling apart with planks all over the ground.Theres also flooding issues in some of the lower units and stairwells. Laundry ventilation is seldom cleaned (if ever) which poses a potential fire hazard. Some units literally have broken window panes of glass. Car break-ins have now become a weekly event (not exaggerating) and the apartment complex has refused to take measures to mitigate the problem. They have been claiming they will be getting security cameras the entire time that I have been living here yet they have never done it. Ive had my car broken into, I had someone tried breaking in through my sons window, I have seen countless crimes on the property occur, all the way to including shootings. The kid playground is actually rather dangerous and I would not recommend kids playing on it, I definitely wont let my son play on it. They have pile of garbage that forms in front of their dumpsters every weekend... Its amazing they dont have a major rat issue yet. When you decide that youve had enough with this apartment complex and decide to move on, they will charge you a full months rent but demand that you move out a few days before the month is over, making a move out very difficult.Of all the apartment complexes that I have ever lived in, this one had single handedly been the worst that I had ever lived in. I could not strongly urge people enough, to not rent here. There are plenty of other apartment complexes in the area that are far nicer, cheaper, and more ethical.Looking back, if I knew everything I knew now, I would never have moved here.
For a business that has multiple complaints about people dumping furniture at the dumpster, they sure dont seem to do anything to fix the issue other than complain that its too expensive to either get a security system (camera) setup or maybe a gate thats fully enclosing the compactor. but no, please tell me how its cheaper to pay a company to remove said furniture off the property multiple times per month. This complex has posted signs yet almost nightly people will use the trash compactor between the times of 10pm and 4am. It is not even close to being quiet, probably the only thing drowning that out is the amount of people sitting in the parked vehicles either A. revving engines. or B. blasting bass filled speakers for an extended period of time. wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, at any point in time.
Overall this place is a case of getting what you pay for. Noisy at times. Not an every night or weekend occasion. My biggest complaints are paying for a covered parking stall, coming home and finding it occupied. Happens quite frequently. You can call their security patrol company. All they can do is write a warning ticket. So, you have to wait until that person leaves to reclaim your space..even though there are towing signs all over the place. The biggest pet peeve is that the pool and gym are closed on Sundays and holidays. Yep, you read that right. One of the best days to relax and unwind next to the pool, and its closed. Gate is padlocked. I inquired about it shortly after moving in 2 years ago. Was given a lame excuse about the security people locking up at night. I know..Pretty lame. Moving out next week and couldnt be happier.
Manegment doesnt care, will lie straight to your face. Loud music, cars running in morning blowing exhaust in window, homeless people walking around at night yelling, suppose to be fence around property, but they rarely repair it when kids break the fence out they just fixed it after almost a year of broken fence. Not worth the 1440 plus for rent.
I have a nice apartment with easy assess
Maintenance staff is awesome, management sucks. So does parking. The apartments are nice, however, appliances are outdated and need to be repaired/replaced. Unfortunately, we got screwed over at this place as far as rent goes so were moving. The office staff told us that there wouldnt be a rent increase when we came in a month before our lease ran out so we didnt look for another place although I wanted to move closer to my work/school. When we came in to renew the lease, we were told that the rent increased $100 (!) and that we would have to pay the new amount immediately. Of course, by then it would have been pretty much impossible for us to move. Very uncool. We didnt renew for a year and are looking for a new place now.
Moved out of that garbage place you guys call apartments but I’m trying to live somewhere else and the management told the landlord we were late with our payments even though I went threw the RPP program which was impossible to be late. DONT move here. Also put in a work order in October 2016 and the issue never got fixed.
I currently live here. so far not good. maintenance in the outside of the apartments is really bad. the outside of the apartments are really dirty i think they cleaned the front of them but behind, where the balconys are at is really bad. if i could post a picture i would. when we got the apartment i was expecting it to be nice and clean, but it was pretty dirty. The the doors where scribbled on, some marks are still there guessing its permanent. one of our bath tubs is really stained, told the manager about it. She said nothing could be done. so great we now have a dirty stained bathtub that cant be cleaned out. we tried but nothing worked. our door lock wasnt working maintenance fixed it supposedly but still doesnt work. its to hard to lock and unlock the entrance door. Also the paint from the door is pealed, since we moved.we asked about the parking, manager said one comes with the apartment and if we want another one with covered parking it was $25. when we finally moved she then said if we wanted any covered parking each one is $25. the ones without covered parking are free. since we used to live in a residence like this, the # of your apartment is the number of your parking. but its not like that here. we got both of our covered parking on the other side of our apartments. i work at 4 in the morning and i have to drive to kent. so there for i have to take a walk to my car at 3 in the morning. soon we will be looking for another apartment.
Lived here for 22 months because they do 11 month leases, things around the apartment broke quite often.(Maitenance did come and fix every issue) however the whole apartment shouldve been renovated prior to leasing to new tenants. A month before moveout a lot of incorrect information was being given out by office members which caused a lot of conflict between them and myself considering that my money was being messed with. After the conflict that occurred which could have been avoided I contacted ConAir the corporations HR to voice my outrage on what was going on at one of there properties with there staff members... managers at that. Finally the general manager reached out to me and asked what can she do to make this situation better.... the one thing that we both agreed on since we were moving out in less than a month which was can she do my check out process since Id already had my issues with the only other person who did them was agreed too. The day BEFORE move out I emailed the manager just to let her know we would be ready around 3-4 the next day, she then proceeds to email me back and say that she isnt able to make it because she was going to be at her other property. Mind you this so called manager had literally told me (I have all the emails to go along with my side of the story) that she would be available. Now shes telling me that Im just going to have to get the woman that I had an issue with to do my move out. I was so upset at this point I couldnt even email back. Moral of the story this place is far from under decent management, the apartments are falling apart. They dont really fix things the just put new holes and drill into new parts of something to fix it. Definitely wouldnt recommend anyone moving here. Take your money to somewhere who cares about your living experience, and can conduct a professional, trustworthy business with you!
Now is it me or is this place just seem so damn hollow? You could hear just about everything going on outside n inside your house..smh I feel like you can hear everything I do in my house. It hella is echoing ughhhh
Very unprofessional half the time one of the ladies in charge had no idea what she was doing, trying to charge me for bills and parking spaces I was not using or had already paid. i had to return to straighten it out with the other management lady neighbors where very rude knocking on my door and being told to take my kids out side at 6 pm when its raining I have a toddler what would you expect. I had to get rid of my dog cause the neighbor was accusing me of leaving my dog out and did not want to deal with the problems or confrontation. If at one point you are planning on getting your deposit back dont count on it I literally wiped down every tiny detail of the apartment and was charged in over $500 in damage. If your single and dont have kids and dont mind loosing money might be your type of place familys beware avoid place at all cost
They will not help with any issues you have. There is excessive noise, the cops were called multiple times just to get one neighbor in our building to stop partying. They do not fix things, the gutter fell off our building almost a month ago and it is still on the ground. Avoid this place at all costs.
Convient location to JBLM, Although I was not impressed with the staff or the prices for the apartments.
First of all the management is bad.... the neighbors are all loud and are very rude. and the kids in the area are always destroying the property or peoples cars... and you also hear gun shots all the time dont rent here coming from a military member move on post or down to Olympia.
If your military and on the RPP program. Please when you move out watch out cause they will charge you twice for carpet cleaning and utilities then send it to collections saying to owe them. When you dont! It happened to me and other military friends.
These apartments are very pricey ! Lots of problems around the apartment sense I moved in 3 DAYS AGO ! The upstairs neighbors are very loud stomp all through the day and night . When I talked to one of the office people I was told that sucks !!!? The dryer in my apartment is broken . Theres no Parking what so ever . Not even spots you can rent for 25$ a month . NONE . I have had to park at the front or end of the complex and walk pregnant ! Its just horrible I would not recommend it at All !
