I just moved in towards the end of April, into a 2 bedroom 2 bath lower level unit. Whats really cool about this complex is the way theApartments are arranged like homes. For example, I have no one on top of me, or beside me really. It is super quiet, the grounds are maintained beautifully, and everyone from the residents to the leasing agents, to the maintenance folks are all super friendly, professional, and prompt. The carports are extra wide, and the extra spot for another car is appreciated.Shout out to Kayla, Lauren, John and Don for their promptness and attention to detail. You wont regret moving here!
We just moved here a few months ago and already Westlake Meadows is my favorite apartment that Ive lived in! The ladies in the office are so friendly and helpful, and the maintenance team is really on top of things, every maintenance request weve put in has been done within a day. The property is beautiful and in a perfect location, just off I-5 so its easy for me to get to work, but it feels secluded and quiet. They even have a dog park for our pup! :)
Our experience living at the Westlake Meadows apartment was awesome. Friendly staff, clean areas (pool/hot tub/front office/grounds/dog park). We lived there for about a year and loved our apartment. We never had any issues and any maintenance that was needed was quickly fixed and taken care of. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great place to live.
Overall the apartments are great. The rent is about the same as in the area and they let you pay for two covered parking spots, which is nice. For the most part, it’s relatively quiet, except for a neighbor that bangs on walls and what not every evening around nine, but it’s not that bothersome. The apartments are spacious and the added storage on the deck is a bonus. We have new carpeting and new fixtures, that being said, there are nails poking up through the carpet and I’ve cut my feet on them several times now. I don’t think there’s much they can do about that. The bottom panel of my refrigerator has been hanging off since we moved in, and the apartments told me I couldn’t list that on the move in sheet. I just hope I don’t get charged for that, since it’s still not fixed. The maintenance crew gets things done super quickly. Move in was horrible and the office did not have many answers to my questions, and they lost one of our keys, which is disconcerting as someone could be in possession of it that isn’t supposed to. When they let us know this at move in, I figured they would change our locks for security reasons, but they didn’t, so I’m trying to figure out if I should buy new locks or if the apartments should. I’m slightly concerned with the flooding that everyone talks about, but the apartments have installed new drainage systems that seem adequate enough to handle the rainy season. Were it not for these minor issues, I would have given them five stars as they have worked with us a lot and the apartment itself is nicer than most others around here, but if one is contemplating moving here, they should be aware of these issues going in.
Weve been here for about 2 years and absolutely love living here. The location is awesome. Private & quiet, but direct access to freeways. We have had nothing but good experiences with our neighbors. The complex is a short drive to everything we need: grocery stores, entertainment, restaurants, etc. Our unit is great--were in the remodeled 1 bedroom with loft. Fine for two adults, but wouldnt want to go any smaller. The leasing agents at Westlake Meadows have all been FANTASTIC and so helpful! Any work orders have been responded to either the same business day or the next day. In a perfect world, we will keep living here.
I HATE LIVING HERE
I have lived here for about two years and have found the office staff to be very friendly and helpful. I had a roof leak in my unit that caused the ceiling in my kitchen to warp and sag, which maintenance was quick to fix with a temporary patch while the roof was being replaced. The office staff followed up after the completion of the roof and scheduled a time to finish the patch work. They were easy to coordinate with and very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. Overall Westlake Meadows is a great place to live!
Been here for 3 years and I love it...Quiet and peaceful, the staff has always been great and the property is very nice. I had an issue with my walkway retaining water after a heavy rain but the work done in 2016 to improve the drainage has completely corrected the issue of tree roots damaging the drains. Ive lived in a lot of apts over the years and this is the best.Dave
I have lived at Westlake Meadows a few months now, and it keeps getting better and better. Our move in process was rocky, but everything else has been stellar. Westlake has an incredible maintenance team; Ive worked in the multifamily industry for many years--this team cares, is attentive to detail, and is professional but personable. The tenant mix is really cool: lots of dogs & dog people, with everyone really friendly and supporting the community atmosphere that Westlake strives for.The property itself is very well kept & full of trees/mature landscaping; the renovations are impressive, and the location cant be beat.Updated: Ive renewed my lease after a year, but it is disappointing to see the property decline aesthetically and in level of service provided. Still a fine place to live, although my expectations have not been met in several areas.
I applied for your apartment on October 7. Your apartment could have been applied without social security numbers. So I paid the application fee. By the way, you rejected my request for no Social Security number. When my friend, who was resident of the tenants complained, said your staff would return application fee. Since then, I have asked for a refund for three times, but I have not replied to the refund. Now that I have a request for a refund, please let me know promptly.
We reported flooding problems (water up to our front door) at our porch and walkway along with many other flooded points on the property. Our neighbors told us its been happening for years. One year later, its still happening, theyve been working on it for months with no updates to drainage. This place is horribly managed and owned by an out of state firm that just couldnt care less. For how much this place costs you can do way way better.EDIT: During the most recent rain and blocked drainpipes (on thanksgiving), their office phone rang to an unrelated oral surgery clinic number. They dont have their emergency number posted ANYWHERE public or even in their email signatures. I went so far as to message them on facebook, where they not only saw my message that same day, but then blocked me from messaging or commenting entirely when I called them out on ignoring my contacts. Stay the hell away if you can afford to.
I lived at Westlake Meadows for ten months. We had multiple issues with the apartment itself, like a leaking window which was fixed promptly, but left stains on the blind cords and sill. We were told maintenance would come and clean them but they never did. We also had a leak from the master bathtub through the ceiling to the first floor. At first we were told that they couldnt find a leak (like we were making it up?), then they ripped the siding off to get a better look (which was never replaced, just had a nice 2x4 instead), then cut holes in the ceiling (which were patched but never retextured, so it just looked bad but was functional). The mystery leak was finally fixed after about five months of us re-reporting the issue over and over again. Then came the improvements. Our roof and gutters were removed, and it took nearly seven months to replace them. The contractors left nails and shards of metal all over the property. They also climbed over our fence to use our outlets for their power tools. If that wasnt enough, after the roof was complete, the complex decided to cut down 99 trees on the property. It completely killed the privacy of our apartment. The on-site management was decent, it just seemed like maintenance was overwhelmed with too many issues, and issues that were above their pay grade. It seems like the buildings were shoddily constructed and issues keep popping up. Westlake Meadows is overpriced for what they offer, especially when you have to constantly deal with maintenance issues.
Decent place with neighbors that cant decide if being people or being quiet is better.
Even in the remodeled units youre still dealing with aging infrastructure. The apartments are cold in the winter with inadequate baseboard heating and hot in the summer with no air conditioning. As for management, its difficult to determine if Westlake Meadows is a training ground for new managers or a dumping ground for failed managers. Its that bad. Look elsewhere.
