Lafayette Gardens is poorly kept, the gate is never working (we are advertised as gated), it has been left open for months now. Litter is a huge problem here as well. I cant get a call back from property manager regarding concerns as a resident either. I have been told time and time again we will put a work order in for that and it never gets taken care of. The trash and the gates are embarrassing. From the main road you can see the metal fencing being held together by a chain. There is just a lack of desire to make Lafayette Gardens the best it can be for its residents.
Good management=happy tenants. And i will say that they have. They want to fix correctly and in ny line of work. Its awsome and appreciate ed greatly. Also good maintenance guys help😎
Beautiful apartments! Love the set up, front office people are extremely nice. I wouldnt mind living here. I like the duel gate unlock, key fab or code. I like.
Do not stay here unless you want someone to break into your car due to a gate that is NEVER closed. The front office will only tell you Im sorry that happened to you. This is not a well lit area at night so you will feel very unsafe.
I love living at Lafayette Gardens. The office staff and management are so nice and helpful. It has all the amenities I was looking for with the workout room, clubhouse, and pool. My apartment is very nice and the neighbors are nice too. Its in a great location near River Ranch and so many stores. And anytime I have a maintenance issue, the maintenance staff is always so helpful and fast, even if it is after hours or the weekend.
I have been here over a year and love this place! Very great location as far as walking to the many restaurants and stores around and driving takes hardly no time outside of 12 and 5. Movie theater walking distance malls, hair, nails salons and many restaurants, also its great side streets with side walks and quite neighborhoods to walk through. The staff is great and always trying to keep up with the structure and grounds. Very nice pool, landscaped lawn and 2 areas for fenced in dog parks .Feels very comfortable here and no worries of the upkeep all done through the great team of efforts from the management and staff on a prompt basis. Do love the relaxed atmosphere here has a very good comfort level! Thanks to Lafayette Gardens on E Martial for all the qualities above you have made my lifestyle of living arrangements much nicer and easier than living at a home with all of the upkeep! Thanks for the pleasurable experience. I love it! Great Job!!! The workout center theatre room and club house are nice extras included!
Lovely Lafayette Apartment Community. I visited as a guest of a friend. Convenient location, for shopping and dining. Spacious grounds and love the dog parks.
Here is my experience with Lafayette garden:The place likes to give an allure of luxury but it is anything such. Poor upkeep and bad management have let this place fall by the wayside. There are way better and newer options all around Lafayette. DO not settle for this dump, as they are trying to do anything to fill units. Just check out my list below to see how this place operates.1) The gates are constantly broken. ANYBODY can just drive/walk in no problem. This becomes a problem when you want to use the amenities (such as pool) that YOU pay for and theres tons of people using it that dont live there.2) Management will let ANYBODY in. I found out that I live next to felons and do NOT feel safe around my neighbors.3) The pool is absolutely disgusting. They probably clean it once a year if that. With the constant myriad of outsiders, a thick coating of grease likes to hangout on top of the water. YUCK4) On multiple occasions, I found empty bottles of liquor and blunt wraps out by the PLAYGROUND. All that is missing is the needles.5) Management says they dont allow aggressive breeds, of dogs, but yet; Im constantly having to protect my dog at the dog gates from hyper pit bulls that the other tenants DONT TRAIN!6) Mail never gets here! I often have to go to the post office/UPS to pick up my packages. PAIN IN THE BUTT.7) The dumpster is constantly overflowing and there is stench that carries far. I feel bad for whoever gets a unit near it.Overall just a bad experience here. I have friends that live in newer complexes for the same price and I regret ever making my choice to stay here. I advise anybody looking for a place to check out newer developments!Edit: Dont believe their response, they are fake news!
The building and facilities are nice, the leasing office not so much. Lady in the front office is very rude. Unfortunately, I have experienced this during every encounter with her. Other than that, the apartments are excellent.
Charming apartments in Lafayette LA. Located on a quiet street, but next to shopping and restaurants and River Ranch, which is why we were in Lafayette.
Love this warm and friendly community! Great location and beautiful apartments but most of all love the amazing staff and management. Thank you so much for all you do!
Excellent property, friendly staff, and awesome amenities. Such a beautiful, friendly environment in an excellent part of town, within walking distance of tons of restaurants and shopping. My father and daughter loved the property. The grounds are lovely.
After 5 wonderful years, I still proud to call my apartment home. The conveniences are endless. The location couldnt be better, whether its the grocery store or grabing a quick bite toding. Living so close to the pool, my balcony is like being on vacation year around! And being a single young woman, having maintenance around the clock (even if its just a light bulb!) is so important to me. Not only the maintenance, but the entire staff of Lafayette Gardens is something you cant find just any where.
The apartments are dirty, maintenance never came when called. They have a key to your apartment and they feel like they can enter unannounced. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! The management hates kids. They told me my crying kid is a disturbance at the pool and kicked us out. Meanwhile they are totally fine with people getting wasted and smoking at the pool. Thumbs down completely. I had high hopes, and was sadly mistaken.
Beautiful apartments and awesome people!! Everyone in office is so friendly and so helpful when needed !!
I would give Lafayette Gardens Apartments a zero star rating if I could. Rudest management I have ever encountered, not to mention that my apartment has been virtually unlivable for the past 3 months. Had a flea outbreak, and I don’t even have pets. Must have been from one of the numerous dogs that are in my apartment building. Had mold, which gave me an upper respiratory infection that had me out of work and school for nearly two weeks. When I initially told them about the mold, they said it would take a week to have somebody remove the mold from my air vents. A week later, the mold was removed from only one of the vents— the one with the least amount of mold. Two or three weeks later, they finally had somebody remove all of the mold from my apartment, but only after finding out that I had to be brought in to the ER because of it. The gate is always broken, and the monthly codes that they give you to get through the gate stop working after the first week. Does not have elevators, and the stairs are exposed to weather. This wouldn’t be an issue if the stairs didn’t ice during the winter— can’t wait to see the lawsuit on that one. Not to mention the fact that it is almost completely inaccessible for disabled members of our community. This is my second time living here, and I can honestly say that I would recommend living anywhere else. If it wasn’t for the extremely rude management, I wouldn’t have exposed the true horrors of living at this apartment complex. I really wanted to like living here, but dealing with the management alone makes it totally not worthit.EDIT: Like past reviews have stated — DO NOT listen to their responses, they are FAKE NEWS. I’m just delighted to know that they didn’t attempt to say that I wasn’t a resident here like they did with other bad reviews. How convenient is that? That you have no record of the people who describe your facility in vivid detail, then claim they were not a resident because they gave you a bad review. The untrustworthiness of the management is just so transparent. Take that as just another reason not to lease from Lafayette Gardens Appartments.
I am giving this review solely based on my experience TRYING to sign a lease. We pull up to the leasing office, Suzanne (i believe this is the blonde woman’s name,) is outside smoking with the door open. Okay, weird first impression but the place looks great. We walk in and Suzanne gives us a dirty look. We ask about two bedroom availabilities, she has no clue. I ask to at least see an apartment before we sat down and discussed everything- she said “ok wow.” And handed us a key and pointed in the direction we should walk to find the apartment. We were angry at this point. I had so many questions, and was excited to sign a lease. With every minute in this woman’s presence I started second guessing living here because if she treats potential residents like this, how would it be if I needed her assistance while living there? Anyways, we tour the apartment ALONE. Couldn’t ask questions. We come back in and give her the key. She slides the ID back to us. We are now standing at the end of her desk, she’s unbelievably rude. Looks like she hates her life and hates us. I’ve never been around someone so negative and someone who just does not care about their job. I begin asking how much per month. She gives me the price of $1130 for a two bedroom. Perfect that’s in my price range. I ask what do we need to do to get an application, she’s rolls her eyes and says we can look online. K fine at this point I’m praying I never have to deal with her and hope she isn’t the only employed office assistant. We ask for which apartment will be available around the time we’d like to move in. She starts sputtering about non sense to I told her to please write down the available apartments on a sticky note. We left to go see which ones are available. I then get online to discover that there’s a summer special for a 2BR $1035. Why was this not mentioned? I call the main office. She answers “hello???” I’m like, is this Lafayette Gardens? She says “yea.” WHO ANSWERS A COMPANYS PHONE LIKE THAT? Anyways, i ask about the special and she says yes that’s the price for the 2BR. I then ask to speak to the property manager, because this is an awful experience. This woman makes these apartments look awful. Everything from her attitude, courtesy, knowledge, lack of respect, y’all are losing potential residents. Complete trash. I’m waiting to hear back from the property manager.UPDATE: spoke with the property manager, Evelyn Dore, what a kind woman who sincerely cares about her businesses and properties. The issue has been addressed and is being resolved with an employee in service. I’m very pleased to say I had the pleasure of working with Tabitha to sign a lease. 10/10 experience with tabitha and Evelyn.
I love living here. The people posting reviews that are complaining about management and the maintenance here are ridiculous in my opinion, I have never had a problem. I moved here from south Florida and if you think this is bad then try living down there, everyone here has been very nice, I dont think ppl here know what rude or mean really is. I only left one star out bc when I had my AC break down, they did come immediately and give me window units to use and fixed my AC in a timely manner. My only issue was that they kept wanting me to leave my top lock unlocked for maintenance to just walk in whenever they wanted to pick up the window units. which at the time I was sick and was staying at home and not at work. I just asked that they knock on the door and I would gladly open it but they never knocked, I just kept getting phone calls and notices in my door asking me to unlock my top lock, which I didnt want to do bc I didnt want them walking in here at any moment when I could be sleeping or in the shower. That was eventually resolved and even though it wasnt that big of a deal it was just a lil frustrating at the time. Other than that I have had a great experience here. Last time I needed something fixed, they came and fixed it right away and thats how its always been, which is great. I feel very safe here, and I feel very comfortable in my apartment and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice apartment with good space and plenty of storage space as well.
Lafayette gardens has the worst management. I had a really bad experience. you make want to consider other place
Living here for over a year, love my home and location.
Good apartments
