I have been looking for a Barber shop for my son since last year. He has had horrible cuts before but Chris put all my fears and doubts to bed. Asked ahead of time about getting a beard trim was told that any of the barbers could do it. Went in on a Saturday with my son to get his hair cut and a beard trim for me. Paid $25 plus tip for just his cut and was told everyone was too busy to do my trim. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

The greatest barbershop that Ive been to in the last 10 years. Reminds me when I was a kid growing up in Houston and always enjoyed going to the barbershop to see how everybody spoke how they acted in to see how many people just came in to ask advice from The Barbers. There was nothing that anybody couldnt ask a barber that he he didnt have an answer to and at least put him in the right direction it was awesome. With that being said go online make your appointments because these guys get booked up two weeks in advance

Decided to give this place a try based on reviews. Mistake, 25 a cut plus tip, the results did not meet expectations for me or my son. Birds is the place for consistent quality cuts in the greater Austin area. Comparable pricing and you leave satisfied your money was well spent.

My son has been visiting this great group of guys for almost a year now. Best cut hands down. Very friendly and polite. Even better its in Kyle! And if your lucky your kiddo will even get a donut from them too! Great work guys!

I’m a mom of two boys (age 9 & 5) and they both walked out saying “these were the best haircuts we’ve ever had!” Chris was so professional and made the boys feel comfortable and at ease the whole time. I’ve taken them to different quick cut places throughout Kyle and I was completely blown away when I walked into the barber shop. I was greeted right away and all of the men there were very respectful. This is hands down one of the nicest places I’ve been too. I’m so happy with their cuts and we will definitely become regulars.

This place is great. When I first walked in it was very clean and maintained. I was greeted by Chris and told him how I like my haircuts and take it easy in the front because, well I’m going bald! Anyways he used scissors like I asked and snipped to perfection! He did a great job but what impressed me the most is how he interacted with me and really seemed to care! Great service awesome barbers everyone there makes you feel at home. I got to say I love the new location compared to the old one. The staff here gets along great every time I go there we are always laughing and making jokes. TVs always playing sports all around great environment highly recommended. From Austin to San Antonio, I have taken my son just about everywhere to get a haircut. Finally, he found his barber! The new location is nice and clean. Everyone there is professional. From my observations there is not one barber there that can not give a good fade. My son is super picky and has been unhappy with his hair for a while, but Chris won him over! His scheduling app is user friendly and I am able to see a full months worth of availability. His cuts are crisp and his fades are on point! Tell him exactly what you want and he delivers.

Chris is an EXCELLENT barber. He has excellent customer service. Always listens to what his customers want and makes it happen. Hes very good with the little ones as well. Jordan did an amazing job giving me a beard trim! I only wanted a trim versus something stylized— and he easily understood what I wanted! I got a nice fade into of my sideburns into my faded haircut. Nice hot towel treatment as well! Highly recommended!!!

Terrible haircut. Had to go back and ask if it can be fixed. Two stars for not arguing with me about it and just trying to fix it. After the attempt, it was possible for me to walk around without looking like a weirdo. But it was still pretty bad. It’s been two weeks and it’s still pretty bad. Will need to get another haircut this week.

I went there this past Friday and it was my first time. Chris cut my hair hair and I absolutely love it. I would recommend you give the shop a go. He has a great team and they are very knowledgeable on different styles and textures of hair. Very warm environment and friendly staff.

Real barber shop experience. These guys know cuts and shaves better than anyone else in town. Highly recommend. Antonio is my barber, but Ive had cuts from several of the guys and its always an excellent experience.

Haircut was good, but when we come to an agreement of exactly what I want before you start cutting my hair and the end result is unfinished and not what we agreed on... can’t help but feel disappointed when leaving. Won’t say a name but if you’re reading this, that’s not how it’s supposed to work, regardless of, if you “have time” or not, it would’ve taken you less than a minute to take a no guard to clean my neck up. Haircut was good though, clean fade for sure.

What can i say about this barber shop... They are a classy group, their shop is kept pretty clean, fun conversations, chill environment and has a nostalgic feel to it. I prefer here better than any other hair cut from some chain hair place hands down. Check them out for sure.

Great group of barbers, of always accommodating. Your best bet would be to call ahead and set an appointment. They take walk-ins, but it depends on their availability because of the appointments they have set prior.

Meh, could have done better... Austin does a far better job. I was slighted as I just moved to Kyle, TX and was hoping for something more local while my normal barber is out on vacation.Please improve on the cutting skills especially since its 25-30.00 for a single cut that is pretty comparable to super cut.Best of luck and I hope your shop improves to match to SHED barbershop standards in Austin. Until then, I most likely wont be back.

Chris and the staff at Gentlemens Grooming 101 are great. I get my haircut by Chris and it always comes out perfect. He always takes his time and pays attention to every detail of the cut. Oh and the fact that you can make an appointment is even that much better!

A guy with glasses in the far back left told me to come back at 230 and he would be free to give me a haircut. I came back at 225 after pushing my schedule further back, and soon as I got there he was finishing up the last guy who was before me.. He then told me after 5 min of waiting I had another guy (who was not originally there nor had an appointment) that he was intent of me.. Why set an appointment if your gonna treat your customers like trash putting them anywhere you want in the lineup based on who you know. . Not professional!

We love going to Gentlemens Grooming! Chris has been taking care of my son a for about 2 years now, and this barbershop is taking over! They have a fun and friendly atmosphere, are there when you have an appointment scheduled (sadly, another shop we used to go to wouldnt be there when we showed up for our appointments), and they dont make you feel like an inconvenience. Im glad I found this place! And I love that its growing! Great job, guys!Edited to add: In regards to the prices, Im a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Id rather pay $20-$25 to not have to wait for 2 hours for a hair cut, not to mention a clean and friendly environment, stability and excellent customer service.

Very professional and courteous, buuuut I would suggest to maybe make an appointment. Perhaps theyll be more attentive to your haircut. I asked for a mid-fade with the top trimmed, and got a high and tight military cut with a section at the crown of my head cut shorter than the rest of the top. Of course my back was turned to the mirror the whole time, or I would have stopped the person from making a mess of things. Im glad I own a hat...

My girlfriend likes the way they cut my hair, so I guess I do too. Nice guys. John was my barber. They do straight razor shaves also, which can be hard to find.

Very disappointed with the hairstylist, $25 dollars for a haircut that I could get a super cuts or great clips. He didnt do anything special took about 5 minutes for my haircut. When I went to a barbershop in Austin, a female barber took her time about an hour cutting my hair, gone all out. So I was expecting a take your time haircut, not cut my hair with a clipper and 5 minutes later say all done. I was so disappointed that Im not going back.

This place doesnt even deserve one star but its the only way I can write this review. If you respect the way you look or care about who you go give your hard earned money to, do not give these people your business.The last time I got a haircut at this place, Jordan (one of the barbers there and who is the reason why I am writing this review) spent most of the time watching YouTube videos with the other staff and talking about how he went to jail for assault. Now if he did a good job cutting my hair, I would ignore this unprofessionalism. Instead I spent $35 plus tip for a horrible haircut that looks like I did it myself. The fade was not blended at all and there are distinct lines where you can see when he decided to stop cutting my hair and go watch YouTube videos.The staff are completely unprofessional, composed of primarily amateurs who I assume are the owners friends, and worst of all, disrespectful to your time and money. If you want to spend this much money on a haircut I would recommend going somewhere with actual standards of business and conduct. I have a feeling I will not be getting a refund, Im honestly not sure if this place is even worth going to in order to let them fix this $35 haircut.

Went to the back to school hair cut event and the experience was awesome! They take quite a bit of time to do one hair cut but they make sure its all done right. Would definitely go back!!

Although it seemed like an appointment was needed to be in there, the cut I got from Jessica was impressive and I honestly did not expect the outcome to be with such great detail. But she completely proved me wrong and blew me away. I will definitely be going back for her services from now on.

Im very disappointed in this place because I was hoping to find a local barbershop in Kyle. Unfortunately this wont be the place. They charge the same price they do in austin ($30) but the barber which cut my hair is no where near as experienced & he didnt even use a straight razor to finish up. so the service definitely does not command the price point. I asked for a taper fade on the sides and here is a picture of the finished job. Sadly I didnt notice until I was already back home.The place was clean and the service was prompt when I arrived so i wont be giving a completely negative review.

My second time to this barber shop and yet again I leave very satisfied!!! I would recommend giving them a chance at your next cut . There all VERY respectful and barber shop has a home feeling to it ! Will be back for sure !!!!

Mr. Hawkins not sure what u meant its not Austin TX.. but this barbershop is a good one probably better than the ones in Austin.. to you might be a little pricy but they do take care of you and you get what you ask for (no doubt) customer service is great.. try it sometime I guarantee you will go back.

One of my favorite barbers, Chris, was in town so I had to come down. Drove 40 min from Austin and it was worth the hour and a half roundtrip. My haircut came out exactly as I wanted it. He made sure to ask me how I wanted the sides, the back, etc. He definitely knows what hes going. Highly satisified!

Chris and the guys are constant professionals. I moved from another city and attempted many different places to cut my hair, as soon as I went to Chris I knew I found my barber in this area. I now travel from Austin to Kyle so that I can keep him as my barber. The guys there constantly have a good conversation going, and there are always laughs to be had.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. No greeting when I walked in, just a quick glance and look of annoyance as if they didnt want to be there. Made an appointment but still had to wait 25 minutes to get in a chair. The barber cuts the back of my neck in multiple spots and they charge 35$ for that kind of service. Absolutely ridiculous

I was a customer willing to pay and they had barbers doing each others hair and they told me they were booked and busy like they couldnt help us. If you want to be disrespected and find a place were customer service is non existence this is the place to be. I was ignored when I walked in and no one greeted me as I stood there looking at the prices. $25.00 for a haircut? Youve got to be kidding. I drove to Buda and got a great cut at Mikes for $13.00. Good luck guys, this isnt Austin.
