I called my insurance company for a tow and they sent David from Floyd`s Wrecker because I did not have a tow hook he could not tow my car but his did everything he could to help me and ease my stress. The next day I called and requested Floyd`s once again they sent David he was every professional and kind. I recommend them for anyone in need of a tow service

Every Tow company i called that was near was at least 2 or 3 hours out and was expensive. Josh was there within 20 minutes and even got it driving for me! Definitely a big help in a stressful situation! Thank you Floyds!

My friends car was towed last night. She parked in what seemed to be a legal spots (no signs to the contrary). We got there just as he loaded the car on the truck. He unkindly refused to take it down and when I asked for info on how to contact his boss, he became defensive and unkind. Ill also be reaching out to the owners of the parking lot. This was simply unacceptable.

Live on Hightland Ave and have a proper apartment sticker that was visibile. My car was towed last night 8/22/21 around 10:00-10:30 PM (saw the wrecker but thought cant be me, have my sticker). This AM, I woke up to no car, was late for work, written up by my superiors. According to Mr. Floyd Jr, the sticker was not visible to the tow driver during his nightly route after inspecting the vehicles at the apartment buildings. The issue is, a small flashlight, two eyes, simple basic instincts couldve prevented it. Floyd Jr did not make me pay but also did not reimburse my uber or even apologize. He says sir and maam a lot but with a smug look, unhonest eyes and no solutions - Floyd made evident one thing to this Knoxvillian, they just want your money and do not man up to their mistakes nor reimburse if it is their fault. Try Dans or Jims or Earls - these companies are local and reputable.TLDR: Avoid shoddy business, malpractice and pure frustration by not using Floyds Wrecker Service down the steep small hill off Hawthorne across the bridge.God bless and I hope this review saves someone the heartache they caused me by literally stealing my car. If you live in Fort Sanders or nearby, beware of this company.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. The owner is extremely rude and inconsiderate; he is unwilling to listen to anyone let alone be helpful. They are also pretty sketchy - they told me they would not accept a credit card to pay to get my car back. They said we dont accept them for this sort of thing and so I believe this was just an excuse to get cash in their pocket off the record. I recommend staying away and finding a more professional company.

Floyds towed my car from my apartment and when I showed up to get it back they would not let me pay with a credit card. They just want cash in hand with no records, I would not trust them!

My experience was great, on time as arranged, professional and friendly. Towed my car in the middle of the night from my gated complex when they were out of their rights to do so. When I called to see if they had my car the man that answered the phone was extremely disrespectful and asked me why wouldn’t they tow my car from my complex AFTER my complex said they’re only suppose to be in here towing cars that are not registered to the complex and not in visitors parking. I had to have the complex call them and tell them to release my car without charging me a fee.

I had a blowout on I40 and didn’t have a spare. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty stressed. Floyd’s sent out Jimmie to pick me up and he was the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He got there quick and had me taken care of in no time. I don’t write too many reviews, but I wanted to chime in here because the average is low- I received excellent service from Floyd’s and would recommend them to anyone in need of a tow.

Very over priced it cost me over $300.00 and it was towed on Saturday. No one could release it in Sunday so Monday it was over $300.00 which is a total rip off. Talk about legal crooks. They said the county set the price. Its all money 💰 game. Thanks Floyds.

Husbands truck was just picked up after hed gotten a ride to work. Driver called ahead to say when hed be here, arrived exactly when I expected. Our driveway is very narrow & up a steep hill bordered by a stone wall. David the driver maneuvered it, backing up it, no problem. Loaded up the truck which was parked at an odd angle in our crowed driveway quickly & with no problem. David knew what he was doing! Great experience this morning & good rate for the tow.

Got my car towed by this company, which was my fault as I shouldnt have parked where i did. The reason they get a one star review is because despite the fact that i had enough money on me, they initially refused to let me pay the fee and get my car back, which Im pretty sure is theft. Whoever it was that was running the place around 10 pm last night was also rude and had low impulse control beyond comprehension.

What kind of business charges a credit card processing fee in 2020? On top of that they are all very rude, the office smells like a lit cigarette, and they do not treat your cars with any respect or care.

So the service is awful. My apartment complex using them to have cars towed for parking in the spots that we are assigned and pay for. I called them, the guy sounded very annoyed and like he wasn’t even listening, he didn’t ask for my name or information at all. I waited over a hour and called again to ask for an estimated time and he didn’t even remember that I called him or where I needed the car towed from. Then as a response he says “I don’t know that’s a tight parking lot I guess I could try but I don’t know if I’ll be able to get it.” He again sounded very annoyed and like I was being a hassle just for asking him to do his job. It’s now almost been a hour and a half and he still hasn’t shown up. Then when he finally does he doesn’t even try and says he can’t get it. I’ve had a car towed from this spot before so I don’t see why it would be a problem. This is honestly ridiculous and the worst towing company I’ve ever had to deal with and would not recommend them to anybody who has a choice. I love to give people the benefit of the doubt but seriously they suck!

Great tow truck driver

They were so friendly on the phone and told me it would be around 30 minutes for them to arrive, but it was less than 5 minutes!! Josh picked up my CR-V and was amazing! I recommend Floyds to everybody in this area who needs an excellent, friendly, and affordable tow service!

We had a blowout flat tire at 430 in the morning on January 6, 2013 in Knowville on Route 40W. GM Roadside assistance contacted Floyds Wrecker Service and Jason, their employee, was there in 5 minutes. He changed our flat and got us back on the road promptly. He was very professional and provided excellent service for us.Were contacting GM Roadside Assistance and telling them that Floyds was the best service weve ever seen.Thank you very much.

10/10 recommend! Long story short my roommates car broke on the highway at about 4:50 AM and Josh was super quick to get to where we were and get her car to a mechanic shop. He even went the extra mile as to find us one next to the hotel (since we are out of state) and walk us into the hotel to make sure we would be okay! As two 18 year old girls we were highly stressed about being stuck in a strange place with nowhere to go but thanks to Josh we were comfortable and safe!

Our car stranded us in Pigeon Forge Saturday evening at 8:30pm. Our roadside assistance contacted Floyds, Josh called shortly after to confirm. He did show up within 5 minutes of the estimated time. He was very proffessional and courteous. Would recommend their service to anyone.

Got stuck at Downtown West today and needed a tow. I didnt get the drivers name, but he was friendly and apologetic about the back-up on the interstate causing him to be later than anticipated (its true, he wasnt giving an excuse or anything). The driver offered to find an ATM for me as well, but it wasnt necessary. He was patient while waiting for my husband to bring the back-up key because I absentmindedly dropped the key in the drop box of the repair shop before unloading my car from the tow truck. 5 stars.

Car got towed from a local apartment complex WITH a temporary pass in the window (visibly there when I went to pick up my car). The date on the pass was written wrong by the office staff, but I OBVIOUSLY lived there. When I pulled up to get my car, they were outside smoking, and I was obviously an inconvenience. They are completely inconsiderate and obviously will tow anybody they possibly can to take their money. So glad I could contribute $100 to their cigarette fund.

DO NOT USE FLOYDS My wife was stranded with a car that wouldn’t start on UT campus and it was a side road with no street address...driver got frustrated with her trying to explain her location and hung up on her and wouldn’t take her call...rude an unacceptable with a person stuck and it getting dark. No notice of their towing company or no parking signs from where my car was towed. Unprofessional staff and no customer service other than “your car is around back”. Be sure not to hire these people. No attempt at actually helping anyone that I can see.

My friend was waiting for them to come help with flat tire on her car at my house. They were to be sent here my her auto service. After waiting a while, she called them. The dispatcher was very rude to her when he should have been trying to help her. He wouldnt even let her talk. I do not recommend using these leople.

I dont know if too many people know but the owner Terry Floyd rents a few houses through his buisness.The houses are not well maintained the entire back yard of the property I lived at was a mix of climbing ivy and poison oak. My kids could not play in the back yard. Due to that. I told him multiple times and was in the hospital from poioson ivy and removing it from my front yard. it took over 8 months for him to send a handy man out and all the man did was chop it up he did not clean it up.The kitchen flooring wasnt flush with the wall there was an inch and a half gap between the upstairs bathroom wall and the floor.He served us an eviction notice in November when we paid our rent early in October. He got rude with my kids case worker who was trying to get a check cut to him for rent when we had fallen behind due to a death in the family and lied to our faces about working with us to get caught up.Instead of holding the furniture we could not move for 30 days after giving us an illegal af 48 hour eviction notice he trashed and left it in the front yard and broke it to pieces. Dont rent from terry floyd and if you do Call everyone you know to move your things. Heavy things I could not move alone all trashed beyond reason and thrown into the front yard.He already has another Tennant in the house and I bet he didnt fix any of the problems. Enjoy a leaky kitchen sink and the poison ivy and the high af electric bill because the doors and windows are not insulated at all.

I was trying to walk while carrying my 3 year old are across the street to the marathon on Brooke rd when this guy was very aggressively advertising if I needed a car even I continue telling I wasnt he was so aggressive about was scaring me and had my daughter crying almost chasing us into traffic completely shady only took his card so he was stop scaring us most unprofessional thing they could have done like even if Id been interested in a tow or car from them I would have lost interest because of the extreme level of unprofessionalism it is aggressive panhandling can get you put in jail but you can aggressively advertise to the point that you scare a three-year-old and thats viewed is okay but them and that is not okay

They didnt even tow the car I called them to tow.I called a few hours ago and still have heard nothing from them. I called to get a car towed in our HOA community that was parked here, and its against our rules to have it parked here because it was commercial vehicle (owned by a tenant in this community). They were completely clueless over the phone about what I was talking about, and asked why they had to tow it. Im having it towed because it violated our rules, dont try to undermine what Im saying. Obviously they didnt take my seriously and ignored my request. I will be requesting in our next meeting to set up a deal with a different tow company, this one is ridiculous.

The service is horrible!! The staff had my sons shoes on!! Refused to give me my car keys..the cars owner went to jail...they refused to give my sons clothes back!!! A awful,awful place that does what they want! I would never deal with them by choice!!!

I was towed because I had a temporary tag in a local apartment complex. The date was Jan 2017 on the tag. It was Jan 2018 and the date had been writen wrong. I asked for a statement to say thats why they towed it, so I could get my money back. The man at the desk cussed me out and told me to leave.

Horrible company, this man has no business at all so he sends his driver out to troll South Knoxville apartment complexes. He comes in like a thief in the night and basically steals your vehicle and holds it hostage for a ransom. I parked at Cedar Ridge apartments at 12:15 a.m. Friday night and came back out about 3 hours later and my vehicle was towed! There was NO marking for visitors or numbered resident. I can read very well and you know that is just dirty business if you ask me.

Edit: Five months later and no response from Floyds. I attempted to speak with the manager multiple time but never received any follow up.I would say I was disappointed but at this point its just par for the course.Due to an emergency situation where my vehicle would not start on I was forced to use Floyds. The driver Josh seemed kind at first. We drove right at an hour to the place we needed to drop the car off. Josh at this point refused to accept payment over the phone. I tried to explain that this was emergency situation so Josh called the night manager. Josh then said that if I failed to produce a card and Id at that very moment he would then take my car back to knoxville and stow it at their tow lot. I could then pay for todays tow and the fees to get my car at that point. Things heated up when Josh raised his voice and I raised mine. A friend was with me and used their card since he was present. Josh then lectures us on how companies today have a thing called credit card protection and they cant take a credit card over the phone. Josh then took the card pulled out his phone and called someone. The man then tells this random person on the other phone line that he needs to run a card. Josh then proceeds to given the card number to this mystery caller. Things went downhill from there. Should I have raised my voice? No, I should not have but if Floyds was going to be so strict on their policies they should tell people before going an hour away. Due to the continued nature of our conversation Josh continued to get louder and the animosity peaked when Josh stepped towards me and acted like he was going to swing. Should I have been rude to Josh? No but at no point did he have a reason to escalate things to a physical nature. Im highly disappointed in Josh and the way Floyds handled my emergency situation. Im hoping a manager will reach out to me but I more expect a reply to a Google review then an actual phone call.

Absolutely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and awareness by this service company. Chose any other wrecker or towing service in Knoxville. It is a shame on our community that a local bussiness mistreats the citizens in such a way that they fail to see the effects of their actions. If the community is clearly dissatisfied with your service, you are probably doing something wrong.

Unless youre one of the people who are towed for parking illegally you can expect a good experience. Keep in mind you dont call a tow truck when youre having a good day and that can put a lot of stress on everyone around you, and the guys do a good job nevertheless.

They wont give you enough information about your vehicle

Poor service,high rates will take forever to get to you. Choose any other wrecker or towing company you can. This one is a waste of time and money.
