Went in for an oil change and brake inspection. They called me promptly and confirmed that I needed new brakes. Got it all done quickly the same day at a good value! Very happy with Harveys and will definitely keep coming back.

I have been taking my car to Harvey’s auto for many years. So our alternator had went out unexpectedly and I had no idea who to bring it to because I don’t trust mechanics. I looked through all the reviews and Harvey’s had the best. Mike took in our car and fitted us in between other cars to get our family vehicle back on the road. This is a small shop with honest folks. I would choose “no stars” as a rating, but then this will not be published.I started going to Harvey’s when Don was the shop manager, he was great! However, since he passed, customer service and honesty has drastically declined.My experiences began when I came in for an oil change. I was in the lobby and saw my car being pulled into the bay and also heard a huge crashing noise! Chris the shop manager ran into the shop to investigate and found that the garage door had closed on my car and jumped off the track and fell onto my car. This caused damage to the hood the top and the windshield. The windshield had hundreds of scratches on it, which made night driving impossible! Chris wanted the shop to try and buff out the scratches, rather than replacing the windshield. Of course it didn’t work and I still couldn’t drive at night. I insisted they replace the windshield. I came in for my appointment and after 3 hours, the guy with the windshield still had not shown up for my appointment. He kept saying he was just minutes away. So, finally on my 3rd visit, I received a new windshield. I asked Chris to get in touch with me when the body damage could be fixed. Apparently, the body shop manager had had a heart attack and was recovering. Months went by, with no contact from Harvey’s. You would think, given they had caused the damage, they would bend over backwards to make things right. I finally called and was given a laundry list of excuses from Chris as to why nobody had called to set up an appointment (the body shop manager had returned weeks ago). I brought my car in for the body work, and they missed a significant spot on the hood. Next, I brought my car in for repair, it needed new spark plugs and wires. Shortly after this repair, my car broke down. I had it towed to a different auto shop, wich is very reputable. They discovered that the spark plug wire that Harvey’s had installed had been cut, so the casing didn’t cover the porcelain of the spark plug, this caused it to short out. I took the cut wire to Harvey’s and they accused the second shop of sabotage for new business. They felt they did not owe any compensation for installing the cut wire which resulted in more money for repair. I have chosen to stay with the other shop I used. I would not recommend using Harvey’s.

I took my Toyota Pickup here because it kept popping out of gear. Chris at the front desk was extremely helpful and told me that I needed a new transmission after he drove it around the block to diagnose it. He helped me to find an affordable used transmission as well. My truck was ready in two business days, my only negative is that they didnt contact me until 20 minutes before they closed in order to inform me that my Truck was ready. Im glad I live nearby, otherwise I might not have been able to get my truck until the next day. The work they did seems to be solid, and my truck is running like new now!

The process of my car repair was quick and correct. Very knowledgeable about car works and related info. Cant hesitate or recommend them!

I wanted to get the brake rotors changed on my car but didnt want to go to the dealership because they charged a huge premium for a simple enough job. After reading reviews on yelp, Harveys seemed like the place to go. Don is a great guy and he accommodated my requests and customizations. But I dont trust the guy who handled the job. I think his name was Kevin if I remember correctly. He was always very rude and never gave straight answers.Ultimately, I got the job done and was happy, but not for long. Two days later I noticed some damage behind the front bumper cover. When I looked underneath the car, the whole bumper cover was severely damaged from the lower inside and the engine protective covering (skid plate?) was completely missing. So I went back and talked to Kevin since Don was off that day. As usual the guy didnt give any straight answers and plainly denied that he did the damage. I went back another day to talk to Don and he also tried to convince me that I might have hit a speed-bump which could have caused this. But I didnt, it had been only two days and I remembered clearly where I took the car. I told him that I would have at least seen the skid plate coming out. I couldnt have missed that. He had nothing to say but maintained that it didnt happen in his shop. Searching on the web, seems like it might not be uncommon of a novice mechanic to take those plates off and deem them unnecessary.The body shop gave a huge estimate to fix it mainly because the bumper cover needs to be replaced due to irreparable damages. I guess I should have taken the dealership route in the first place and avoided going to Harveys altogether.

Read this before you go to Harveys for work.Friendly service I will give them that.BUT I have now dropped my truck off with them for the day three times. First time for a diagnostic they told me they check out everything and the 4 wheel drive servo was bad and needed to be replaced.I was quoted 490 for the part and paid $178 for the work they did that day. A few weeks later I scheduled to bring my truck in and have it repaired. As I drive my truck for work not having it is a huge inconvenience. I drop off my truck the night before and at 330 the next day I got a call saying I could come pick it up. When I asked how it went I was told they could not get the part and it would be two weeks to get it. I figured they would have checked on availability before I dropped it off. Don then told me I would now need to pay for the part upfront and he would order it and call me when it cam in. three weeks later after not hearing from them I called and was told the part was there I could bring my truck in to have it installed. So yesterday I drop off my truck again in the morning and get a call at 3pm saying that the part was not the problem and cannot be return because it was an electronic part. Over $700 into this and still not fixed. But they can call in another guy to trouble shoot the problem at an additional cost.

They always do good work, fair prices and they usually finish in a timely manner.

I couldnt be happier, concidering that I broke down. Fast honest service at a fair price.My friend who is an excellent mechanic said, if I could wait until the weekend he would come up and replace my radiator I couldnt wait because I had to leave town ASAP. Upon hearing the price for parts and labor he said, I would keep those guys.

Kevin the owner has done incredlbe things, to help my car through some tough times. He also did the overhaul on my engine . he worked so hard even into fathers day weekend. he has worked very hard to get it out in time. He also helped me find a car to drive. He has a great team of workers and he is a great owner. Responsible, smart, quick thinker. Knows his way around a car and truck..and a special thanks to Chris the shop manager.

I went there the first time due to positive reviews. Another local shop told me my engine was probably trash and Id need to get a new one. Harveys told me Thats not likely and when they checked it out they were able to get it running again for a very decent price. Took it back for brakes, very happy with that work and price. Taking it back tonight for the 60k mile maintenance.

Ive always taken my vehicles to Harveys and I have always been pleased with the work they do. I had some problems with my rear brakes and instead of just selling me expensive new calibers they went to the effort of cleaning them and re-lubricating to see if this would solve the problem and it did. That saved me over $1,000 because BMW parts are so expensive. They also loaned me a Lexus SUV for the day at no charge! This was all same day service too, I didnt even schedule an appointment but they took care of me.It kind of amazes me the polarity between the reviews, you never know the type of people who write the bad or good reviews but some people are just unreasonable and you cant trust what they say. All that I can personally say is that Harveys always treats me well and I would (and have) recommended them to other people.

Chris was amazing! Work with me on absolutely everything and research to find me the best deals on some major problems with my RV. With his research he was able to save me thousands from my original quote from another repair shop. I will be taking all my vehicles to Harveys from now on.

Took my car in to get breaks done about April of 2016, made an appointment to have my car dropped off on a certain day and when that day came they refused to take my car because they claimed they never made an appointment with me and were full. Had my gas tank filled completely before dropping my car off and when they returned it to me I only had a quarter tank of gas left. Dont know why it took them 3/4 a tank of gas to fix my breaks, but it did.Now its December and I have to have my right rear tire replaced because when they did my breaks they did not completely tighten the lug nuts on my tire which caused the threads to become completely destroyed. I took it to Cascade Auto this time around and they said my tire was about to fall off because of how they handled doing my breaks.My engine light was also on before I brought it into them, and when they returned it the light was still on and they claimed they, couldnt figure out why it was on and didnt want to take the time to diagnose the issue.If I could give them 0 stars, I would. For your own safety I would find somewhere else to take your vehicle for repairs.

They claim to be a distributor of Interstate batteries. I took my 2007 Accord in and they gave me a Delco battery, although the invoice stated it was an Interstate. I took it back the second time and they had ordered the wrong battery. I took it in a third time and they installed the cheaper 24 month battery. I had them put the original battery back in the car and got a refund. While putting the old battery back they broke off the red plastic cap over the positive terminal, and for good measure, cranked up the temp on my climate control. I will never use this shop again.

Ive been coming here to get my oil changes for over 10 years. They have a new owner Chris and hes just as amazing as the old owner Don. They give you discounts and always do a great job.

Went in to get some work done on our Pontiacs front suspension (control arm bushings) because the front suspension was making clanking noises when turning in & out of driveways. Dropped it off in the morning, and it was done by end of day. They gave a couple options to fix it, which was appreciated. They also took it for a test drive before and after the fix. Total cost was $200 less than a national auto chain quoted me. Labor cost was very reasonable. Car works great now and the clanking noises are gone. I told them about some other problems I was having with the car and they gave me great suggestions about what could be the cause, without trying to oversell the work.

I took my car to this shop for mechanical and body repairs, something i must say i regretted to this day. They started ranting about how good a job they can do so i was confident they will get the job done right. I payed an exorbitant price for labor alone (close to 4 grand), at the end of the day the service was nothing to write home about. They did such a shoddy job that i had to take the car to a different body shop.There was a loose screw in the strut system, a whole in the axle, bumper was not fixed properly causing the car to be noisy when it goes over a bump, painting was poorly done, just to name a few.I had to pay a different body shop to fix the car. Based on my experience, even if my car breaks down next to their shop i will prefer to tow it elsewhere.I would not recommend this shop to my friends, maybe my enemies!

The manager Don seems like a nice guy, but the overall service quality sucks. They are not consistent about their diagnosis and recommendations. I was adviced to replace the entire exhaust system of my car (and they quoted $1000 for it) while only the exhaust pipe had to be replaced (which would come under $200 including labor). Also, I used to get my oil change done from them regularly and was never informed that there is an oil leak untill I decided to sell my car (about a week after an oil change from them) and as a coincidence the buyer took the car to them only for inspection....and they reported oil leak to him. Totally untrustworthy... so DEFINITELY get another opinion before shelling out any money based on their recommendations.

Paid $2,000 for head gaskets and radiator and got the car back and now it has new problems. Called don and he said replace spark plugs so we did that ourselves and now theres still the same problem. Weve put almost 2,500 in this car based on their recommendations for no reason! Avoid this shop at all costs!

I visited after my Jeeps check engine light came on. Chris provided clear explanations of possible issues, diagnosis, and treatment.
