Have finally found My Shop. Was referred here by my mom because I didnt have a shop and my first car was new and covered under the dealership warranty. Ive felt very safe and comfortable leaving my vehicle with Josh and his crew. He didnt push me into buying more then I needed and gave me options on what to take care of first. Not to sound too corny but ever since i started coming to Dougs I feel like Im leaving my vehicle with family. One time i was on the highway and my vehicle was shaking and giving me a warning light...I got really concerned & so I had my boyfriend call Dougs while i was driving to ask them if there was something serious & what i should do. They gave us a suggestion and I was able to make it home. Im going to keep coming to them, even if I move to a different city. Ive used them many times with multiple cars and wont go anywhere else unless its something outside their scope.Just the other day, I was selling my 17-year old Camry and stripped the license plate holder screws (that had probably been on their since the car was new). I swung by and Josh was able to get them popped off quickly and replaced them with some new ones so I could remove the plates for the buyer. He refused to take any payment for it, and even though they were busy he was willing to take 10 mins to help me out, which was greatly appreciated. Recently took my Infiniti to Dougs Auto Repair to find out why it was stalling. Josh and Riley were able to schedule an appointment quickly, and spend the necessary time investigating the cause of the stall and an engine light. They also helped with confirming a defective part had been installed elsewhere recently. Because of that, the part was replaced at dealership, through warranty. A new battery was installed, while my car was at Dougs Auto Tune & Repair. Great communication by Josh throughout the time my car was there. I will be returning there for future work/service on any cars I own. Thank you Josh and Riley! Highly recommend taking your car to this very professional repair shop.

Excellent customer service and work! It was my first time going here and they were incredibly kind, friendly, and honest. They took the time to carefully explain the recommended maintenance (I wasnt super familiar with the timing belt), I never felt taken advantage of or looked down upon for my lack of car knowledge, and they did an oil change and tune up for an excellent price. Seemed genuinely excited that my car didnt need more work and were honest and up front about everything! I will be returning for future tune-ups and would highly recommend to anyone else.

They gave the whole car a once over and declared there was nothing that needed repair. No charge, wouldnt even accept money for the lunch fund. Integrity!

They offer options for those repairs that allow for some flexibility (keep existing part, replace with used part, buy new part, etc.) and explain the associated costs. Their simple and transparent style provides the foundation of trust that is so important in auto repair.On this occasion, I was allowed to walk out with a new part and loaned a ratchet extension so that I could do some minor work at home before bringing the car in. Great work and always going above and beyond.

Dougs Auto is the kind of place that most people think only exits in a 1950s sitcom. It sounds almost too good to be true in this day and age. They are honest as the day is long, provide excellent and prompt service and competitively priced. As a single mom, I relied for years on Dougs and came to think of them as family. Great mechanics for sure, but more importantly, a group of men of impeccable integrity, honor and incomparable generosity. My kids and I have taken several cars to Dougs for repairs and maintenance and have never been anything but completely pleased. Today, I literally live in the Midwest, and am buying my car in the Seattle area so I can take to Dougs to be checked out before I buy. Yes, they are THAT good. And, no, its NOT too good to be true.

WOW. What an amazing place!! Im so incredibly used to auto shops trying to upsell me on the type of oil I want in my car to my windshield wipers, the works... but this place was wonderful! I brought in my car because the battery suddenly died and they ran full checks on it for free and didnt push ANY additional services. This is now my favorite auto shop. I will be coming back for all of my car needs from now on!

I LOVE DOUGS AUTO TUNE!!! I have taken all kinds of cars Ive owned over the years. From my old 1987 Oldsmobile to my current 2008 Nissan. They are knowledgeable about all kind of cars new, old, domestic and foreign. My car never has and never will see the inside of the dealership. They are honest about what needs immediate attention and what can wait until the next tune-up. They never do any work until they call and confirm the prices. They are also never over the amount quoted and often under. I love how efficient they are. Often I get my car back the same day. I live 45 minutes away but still make the effort to use Dougs because I know they wont take advantage of me and will get the job done and be respectful of my time and budget.

Josh & Riley are both awesome. My timing belt broke in the midst of family wedding plans for my son and a clutch replacement was needed also. Got my car back before my son & daughter-in-law returned from their honeymoon; they were great about checking when I was going to need my car back and made sure to get it to me before then. SO appreciate their consistent efforts to communicate the issue and solution options as well as give great overall service.

Very professional, hard working, go above and beyond. Took my Honda Pilot to them to have the spark plugs changed and the timing belt replaced. Afterwards found some fluid leaking they took me back and fixed that at no charge. Then had the engine light go off 3 times they took me right in to check it out each time, no charge. The last time they rented me a car (no charge) and fixed a sticking valve and it has worked great!! Definitely going to these guys with all our cars and recommend them to all our friends and neighbors!

I usually dont do reviews but for Dougs auto repair I had to take the time to share my experience. Let me start off by saying Im a young single mom that knows absolutely nothing about cars. Josh (the owner) was patient with me and walked me through everything in a way I could understand. In this world people are so quick to take advantage of your lack of knowledge but Josh was just the opposite. He was upfront and honest. He even went in on his off day to work on my car because he knew I had to go to work on Sunday. The staff was respectful and friendly. I was kept in the loop by getting courtesy calls updating me on the status of my repairs. I Highly recommend you going to Dougs auto for any repairs you have. I will pay it forward and do the same for other potential customers and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for any of your vehicle repair and maintenance services.My excellent condition 1999 Nissan Maxima (144k miles) recently had engine cooling issues after I had poured a significant amount of money into repairs and maintenance (new tires, brakes, radiator, thermostat, belts, ignition coils, spark plugs, etc) so I thought it might be time to sell the car before it became a money pit. Luckily I was not able to sell the car in the first couple of days and started to have sellers remorse so I looked up auto repair shops in Kirkland and surrounding areas. Dougs was the only auto shop (or business of any kind that I have researched) to have 5 STAR RATINGS from all customer reviews of 30+ (Google & Yelp combined). There was one 4 Star customer review out of the pack but I dont know why they rated 4 instead of 5 based on their review (free diagnosis without any repairs). Doug and Josh did a complete analysis, repair, and evaluation (including pressure test and test drive) of my cars cooling system. In the end, they were able to get my car performing optimally and save all the money I had invested in the car!The quality and timeliness of the repair was outstanding! I called them on Friday morning at 8am and my car was fixed and out the door the same day by 3pm. Their customer service and CARE is truly what sets them apart from other shops (and dealerships). They took time to understand the problem and also explain what the solution involved. I am proud to call these guys my mechanics.

I cant say enough about Dougs Auto Tune! Theyre thorough, honest, fair and so reasonably priced. Theyve even suggested I hold off on things Ive asked for because they werent necessary at the time - something that in my experience is unheard of - theyll get you in pretty quickly, call you about the recommended repairs to discuss price and always make you feel like your vehicle is in very capable hands! They even cleaned my interior when I got an oil change! Wouldnt dare go anywhere else and you shouldnt either! My coworkers have gone here for years and Ive suggested others go here as well. Dougs is family owned and run and they treat everyone with a level of respect and honesty that is rare in any business, let alone the auto repair business. There is a huge amount of relief dealing with someone you know has your best interests in mind. They worked on 4 different cars for me now and I always get the best advice, best service, and reliable fixes. My 2006 Acura broke down when travelling from Portland, OR to Victoria, BC on a family vacation. I Googled car repair shops in Kirkland, WA and saw very favorable reviews for Dougs Auto Tune & Repair and called them up. Josh was very accommodating and said he could look at my car that same day so I had AAA tow it to his shop. They were excellent about calling and keeping me informed of progress and they were able to replace my alternator and get me back on the road with minimal disruption to our vacation. They even cleaned my car and topped off the oil which was low. I would HIGHLY recommend Dougs to anyone looking for a good, honest repair shop with superior customer service.

I recently took my Lexus here to replace the headlights and diagnose my check engine light. First off, the location is great, the people are accessible and friendly; at a dealership you always have to talk to a Service Rep rather than your mechanic and it leaves something to be desired. The best part is that you dont feel like you are being herded through a dealership and paying higher prices for marginal service and a crappy car wash. They could have easily taken me to the cleaners because I’m a younger female but they didn’t. The gentleman treated me with respect and explained everything in a way that I could easily understand. I called a few places in the area to get quotes and every other shop wanted double, if not triple the price. I cant imagine taking my car anywhere else. Honest, meticulous, and reasonably priced.

When I showed up unscheduled this morning the staff remembered my name, remembered the last work done on my car (months ago), came straight out to check on the issue, and immediately resolved it. Theyve been like this each time Ive used them. The customer service is great.

I have found Dougs to be honest and reliable. I have used their services for several years to maintain a Grand Caravan and a Ford Taurus. I appreciate that they do not try to sell me services that are not necessary, and have given good advice for keeping my older vehicles running safely.

I took my wifes car in and paid to have the spark plugs changed only later to find out from another shop that the plugs were not changed. At the time Dougs tried to encourage me to change my brake cylinder since they thought it was going to fail at any given moment. I then took my car to another shop for an inspection and the brake cylinder was fine. Its one thing to not to do the work which is totally unacceptable but to try to sell you more work thats unnecessary it over the top. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
