Came here for a manicure and pedicure before my wedding. Everyone is lovely and takes the time to make sure you like your nails. They also do great ombre! Highly recommended!

Awful is an understatement. I went with my friend, and I went first. The lady was talking to my friend to ask WHAT I WANTED. I thought that was very unprofessional. Anyways, I asked for black nails, with an accent finger (tan/gray color). The lady asked my friend what she was getting done on her nails, then proceeds to do that to my nails. She doesn’t ask me what I want, the only thing she asked was me directly was what shape, I said coffin. She proceeds to do my nails and file them, she not only cuts me once, she cuts me twice. When I proceeded to look at my nails I notice very uneven (not coffin) nails, and I kindly asked her if she would fix it, and she jerked my arm, and began to get an attitude and became extremely unprofessional. Upon finishing my nails, she put the glitter that my friend had asked for on her nails, on mine and the lady chose what color she wanted (gold), when I told her I didn’t like it (because I’m the one wearing it), she got extremely hateful and took it off and acted like it was the biggest deal in the world to fix something I didn’t even want in the first place. Needless to say, I will not be back. My friend and I both have horrible nails, hers is already popping off 2 days later, and both of us have lumpy, uneven, not coffin shaped nails, and honestly it doesn’t even cover my nail like it should. I’m just extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. But if you’re looking for unprofessional, rude, expensive and horrible nails, this is your place.

Made an appointment. Arrived on time and waited 40 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. When I made the appointment, the lady kept interrupting. Then hung up. So I didnt get to tell her exactly what I wanted. When she finally came over to us, I explained with photos of what we wanted. She said no one was there to do the job. She then said it was my fault because I didnt tell her on the phone the previous day. Will never go back. Will not recommend to anyone. Am looking for a new salon since my previous one being permanently closed due to COVID.

If I could give zero stars I would, the lady that did mine and my friends nails was terrible she would give attitude, huff and puff when we asked for her to fix something. Our nails are lumpy, uneven, super sharp which is scary since we have kids and are afraid it’s going to scratch them, not coffin shaped, uneven…

Would give 0 stars if possible this is what my nails look like after one week. Dont recommend, have a job as a cashier and have never had this happen before also they are supposed to be gel nails.

Went by with a friend to get pedicures. We waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes before someone started on my toes. After she worked on my feet for about 15 minutes she got up and walked away and started on another customers feet. We waited for another 20 minutes before we got up and left. I told her we had plans and couldnt wait any longer and asked her how much to square up with her. She charged me $25 for the partial pedicure and unpolished toes. That was my last trip there. My friend waited over 2 hours and never was able to get any service.

My daughter and i went for a spa day we both got pedicures which was awful they didnt even scrub m u feet or put anything on them sat in cold water and when we asked for French tip they told me no its too much I had plenty of money and they kept telling me everything to expensive I got my nails done and I showed her a simple picture nothing with jewels just paint she said too expensive didnt even use the colors I wanted simple black amd silver she done what she wanted she put a jewels on even though I told her 2 times I didnt want them I told her I was unhappy throughout the process she kept going amd charged me 200$ for nails that camw off in two days and the toe polish last not even a week. So unhappy my daughter even said she never wants to go back there.

I was uncomfortable that she had a grumpy attitude. The spoken language is Vietnamese and I did not understand what she said. It was awkward. She gave a good pedi but she was probably having a rough day. The friendlier I became, the grumpier she got.

A great Mani Pedi for me and my daughter with no waiting. Plenty of space and privacy for relaxing me time.

Had to do a walkin... 1st time being thereFor a fill cause my other salon is closed and be another week to get in.Left with my nails looking like a 2yr old painted them, not to mention 3cuts at my cuticles and acrylic overlapping onto my skin. Didnt even do the usual hygiene clean under the nail. Lets not forget the disgusting lotion they use afterwards. Had to scrub my hands after I got home cause the smell made me nauseous!! Horrible nail salon! Now I have to pay extra to get them fixed. They looked better grown out and shouldve waited until I could get back in to Lilys 🙄🥺😣😡

3rd time going to Lux Nail Spa. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves and our pedicure was done very professionally.

I brought my daughter in and we got our nails done. I got gel acrylics and she got a polish. My nails looked terrible when I walked in, and I was so impressed at how great the guy made them look. I believe I have just found my new go to the nail salon. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area who is looking for a good salon!

Took my little sister to get her nails done for the first time the older lady did amazing but the guy that did my did not do the same at all I Was a little up set with my nails at the end. The guy that done then didn’t shape them well and/ or clean up. Some of them look so deformed. I asked for acrylic with color expecting to pay $40 like anywhere else I’ve been but had to pay $60 they do not feel like they are worth that much at all.

Patient and kind with my belly term daughter and sister getting brow weavings, and curtious during nap painting. Service spectacular!!!!

I called before hand to see how much acrylics were and i was told $30 to $35, when i got there I was told mine would be $45 which is fine because I wanted more than just a simple color but my sister got just white and it was $15 more than what we was told. Also several of my nails are misshaped and he applied the top coat before they were completely dry which caused smears of another dark color on top of a different light color. Quite a few of my cuticles were bleeding after which are now reddened and make my nails look awful. Don’t get me wrong the dude was very nice and took his time but you could tell he was nervous. Now for the lady who did my sisters nails, she was very rude and impolite. She was the one who checked us out and when I went to pay, I had my hands full waiting to get my card back so I could sign the receipt but apparently I had to set everything down and sign first so she picked up the receipt and threw it back down. This was my first time going here and definitely won’t be going back!

I came in to get a pedicure and a full set of shellac. Every single nail is uneven. Also they are ALL bumpy. I’m pretty sure a full set is only 45 and they charged me 10$ more and I don’t understand why. Will never return here. 😡

I got dip polish on my natural nails but it’s the worst job I’ve ever got. The chairs were so uncomfortable. My nail tech(super petite, older lady w/ shorter hair) was very rude and kept roller her eyes at me. I have polish all over my actual fingers. My nails look horrible, clumpy and uneven. I would have got better service and nails for cheaper where I usually go. Will NOT be coming back.

They were absolutely awful! They were rude made me bleed 3 times and my nails look like a two year old did them. They wouldnt listen to me and they never even cleaned the tools I bleed on! I had an appointment and still had to wait for them to do walk in clients before me you could tell other people were getting aggravated a few of them left! I should have done the same thing and spent my money else were! I even came in for them to fix the awful job they did the first time and they looked even worse by the time I lefted. Never will be back there again! (First picture is how they were supposed to look!)

Terrible and unprofessional!! My poor daughter got her first paycheck from her first job,and wanted to get her nails done..they turned out sooo bad..they we bumpy and there was brown spots that showed up the next day..we went back to see if they could fix them ..they were just going to polish over the nail and not fix them! So we left..My daughter was embarrassed by them and she took them off 3days later..it cost her 50 Dollars! It was a BAD decision to go here!!

This place has a nice atmosphere but don’t let that fool you. I went to get an SNS manicure. The guy who did my nails used dirty equipment and sat me in the same seat from a previous person without cleaning it off, there was dust everywhere. He filed my actual finger instead of the nails and made each and every one of them bleed. The manicure looks terrible and he didn’t clean it up in any way. Would not recommend.

I called ahead to make an appointment the lady said walk in only today ( it was a Sunday) well I get there no one acknowledged that I was even there finally someone told me to pick out my color and I did and I noticed there were a lot of open chairs but no instead they put me in the back away from everyone because I’m mixed ( white and black) I tried getting the lady to explain to me why I was being put away from everyone she just ignored me the whole time everyone was giving me dirty looks and ignoring me and making me feel very uncomfortable

This place is a nice atmosphere and they have not been too busy either time I came in. Staff are polite enough, but nothing special. I had manicure and pedicure done one 2 occasions, and both times the quality has left me upset. Not completely dried polish, and shellac painted onto my skin and cuticles that caused it to peel off from the top the next day. The manicurist kept picking at this particular nail with the shellac on my cuticle but allowed it to stay there and cure anyways, versus starting over for 1 nail. I did not complain the 1st time because I did not notice the sloppy work, and the second time I had to leave for an appointment. I will not return here.

I got my nails done here last week. I got the dip polish and on Friday (Two days after getting it done) It began to chip. Today, seven of my nails no longer have acrylic OR they are chipped bad. I have had this done many times. I am disappointed in the quality.

Had a miss understanding. But Phao took care of it, I did tip her for her time. I appreciate the quick fix additude And regiment of the task. Nice environment, clean and welcoming.

The vibe in this place is really nice. Lights dim and relaxing, clearly intentionally arranged which was nice. The problem is the person at the desk gave us an impression of being rude, like we were an inconvenience, which is the opposite of what you look for when you go somewhere to relax and treat yourself, you know? The ladies that treated us were really pleasant, but unfortunately the quality of their work wasnt superb. Our nails were unevenly cut and filed and we didnt even get colors (by choice) which makes you think that they would focus more on that part. They did put lots of love into the massage part so that was good. Overall ok, might try other places.

Left is what I asked for, right is what I got. He argued with me about them being short. Said short ones wouldnt work. I should’ve just left then but I’m bad with confrontation. A couple times throughout I asked if he was going to shape them in the small coffin shape, he said yes. They weren’t busy at all but he was so quick and rough that he broke skin on one of my fingers and made me bleed. Then asked me if Ive ever gotten my nails done before (I have) but insinuating that was my fault? Some tips are longer than others and two fingers are crooked.

I have been a customer for years off and on.. I still go back when I want to treat myself! Awesome place! I tell all the people I know if they are needing a great place to have your nails or feet! This is the place!! Even if you walk in.. You dont have to wait long! Everyone gives their best on customer service! And does an excellent job...would not go anywhere else!

Never will I ever go back to this place! She cut my toenails so short its going to take months before they are a normal size. The polish job was horrible! And my feet are still rough on the bottom. She barely scrubbed them. Never again.

I’m normally not one to leave a bad review, but my experience at Lux in Kingsport is terrible. My normal nail salon has decided not to open until June so I decided to give Lux a try. Considering they were $15 more than my usual I figured I’d be more than happy. No, the quality is terrible. My first set had dirt and air bubbles under the polish and within 2 days 4 nails had come off and I had to super glue them back on, never had this issue. Normally if I hit them on something, it brings me to tears it hurts so bad because they are on so well. Went to have them redone and tried to charge me. Filed the old polish off and filed down the acrylic, which made them even more thin and just polished over. I explained the issue of them coming off, yet again and wouldn’t give me a fresh set. Said that’s all they could do. I had them done on a Saturday and I had all these issues by Monday. While the nail technician was redoing them you could tell she was very frustrated and was rough with my hands. When I left they were still very uneven, the polish had dust under them from where she filed them and they were uneven and lost their shape from all of the filing and not adding any fresh acrylic and just over all terrible quality. I will definitely not go back and just hoping to save someone else from having this experience.

I have been going to Lux Nail Spa for years. I am always pleased with them. My nails look beautiful and they go above and beyond. The location is very clean and staff is friendly. My favorite part is all of the colors they offer. Highly recommended!

Went here for the first time today! Super friendly and thorough. Love that they carry Butter polish, and my nails truly look great. I called to make an appointment and was able to get in fairly quickly. I will definitely be back!

Got my daughters nails done and even paid extra for gel. Three days later the polish came off of one and now its been a week and 3 have fallen off and you can see the glue around her skin ....never go here

Got a acrylic nail fill in .. ask for nails to be trimmed .. she cut way to much off ruined the shape and left them very noticeable uneven so much so that I now have to go somewhere and get a new set worst nail place ever

I wish I could post pics... left rough and the Shellac didnt even cover my entire nail.. cuticles were left and Ill need a complete NEW set Saturday when I can get in with my regular nail tech... I have been getting my nails done for as long as I can remember. A friend and I went here today and the lady there (I assume the owner) was the rudest person I have ever encountered in a nail salon. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked if she could help get the colors. She slammed a book down and told me to pick a color and walked away. I let it go. She does the acrylics and when she goes to put one of the colors on it was more pink than gold so I asked if she had a more gold colored glitter. She got mad and slammed the nail choices down in front of me and told me to pick a color. I told her I already looked at didn’t see one on that one. She threw her hands up in the air and huffed and said so you want this one here or not? She was extremely rude. I am paying 40 dollars for a service, so you can help me find what I’m looking for. My friend and I decided we will NOT be returning no matter how good a job they did or how nice the place was.

Wonderful job done ! My manicure (I also tipped of course and note that tipping is cash only) included shoulder/hand massages, a treatment and warm towels, not to mention the awesome paint done by another gentleman . The TV was Network with subtitles so I could watch it during my manicure, which I liked. They had comfy chairs with pillows. It is a comfortable, clean environment with friendly staff. They also opened their nail tools from sterile packaging right in front of me. I thought it was pretty busy for a Friday morning, but there was plenty of room for everyone. They also have a great selection of nail polish which is my favorite brand. I will definitely be back here.

I have been 3 times and each time they are very friendly and polite. They do a great job and my gel lasts a long time when I come here. They are quite a fast service, which I know some people don’t like but I love a quick service when it comes to nails

Ive been looking for a good nail salon in Kingsport for 3 years, to no avail. Ive finally found the place! Lux Nail Spa, in my opinion, gives you all of the value for your money. The salon is beautiful and clean, the space is inciting and stylish, the technicians are talented and friendly, and the quality of the service is top-notch. My technician gave me a fabulous pedicure! Her attention to detail was top-notch and I will definitely make an appointment with her again. Like I said, Ive finally found my place!

It was nice when we walked in but my toes are not even painted all the way and my nails look like theyre about to do a backflip off of my nail bed into a lake. Plus they didnt even clean up the paint on my fingers

Does this place get busy? Yes. Is it worth waiting for a walk-in and/or setting an appointment? Absolutely.The managers really run this place professionally and make it an enjoyable environment for customers. The nail techs are very good, thorough and practice good sanitary customs.

First time coming to this salon. My pedicure was good, however the lady that did my dip powder on my nails, seemed to be rushed and not in the mood to do nails that day. There are grooves in my nails that werent smoothed out when filing down the hardened dip powder. Also the shape is lopsided and crooked. They look sloppy and ugly. I wont be back. Side note, someone who works there has an unhealthy fascination with Taylor Swift, because they had Taylor Swift songs on a never ending loop on the TV.

I had my nails done Friday night. Shellac. Absolutely loved the color. Woke up Saturday morning and the color was completely different.Called yesterday and was told to come in Sunday or Monday and theyd fix them. Which they did. I like the color, but the lady who redid them told me the nail color change was probably my fault from using cleaners or something-- I got my nails done and went out with some friends. Didnt even take a dang shower! I woke up and they were changed.While redoing my nails, she was rough as hell and talked in whatever language she spoke the entire time. I wouldnt have cared if the lady beside her wasnt continuously staring at me and kept looking over at my nails.I can promise I will never give them another penny and Id like to tell my friends who support them, try somewhere else, I can promise youll have a much better experience!!

She didnt take her time and applied the shellac to quickly and caused air bubbles in 5 of my nails. She was not friendly and treated me as a nuisance she cannot wait to get rid of not a paying customer I do not recommend going here.

Ive been coming to Lux Nail Spa for years. Its a great value to get a quick pedicure done. The staff is always friendly. And they just got new massage chairs!

This was my first and last time at Lux. When they finally started on my nails, they cut my cuticles down to the point where they were almost bleeding. It was very obvious that the tools were not cleaned very frequently, and the top polish she used was very old and crusted. So much so that she beat it against the table to try to get it open. I got the powder dip and the color I chose is not at all the color my nails turned out. My nails are not shaped at all and they are all different lengths. Very dissatisfied with this experience and definitely wont be back.

Best place to get your hands and feet done. They cater to you and make sure youre very comfortable. Im still here getting my pedicure and Im loving every second! The only place to do my nails PERFECTLY!

One of the worst places i’ve been. None of my nails are shaped the same. When I was getting them done I asked her to go a little shorter because I dance. She absolutely REFUSED to cut them any shorter. Then she chipped them. When I asked to have it fixed, she said no. They seemed very rushed, even though I was the only person in there. I will not be back.

My experience at this nail salon was very nice, relaxing and my nails/pedi came out perfect. Everyone who worked there was nice and pleasant and the other customers, who seemed to be regulars, were comfortable and appeared to love the salon. I will definitely be returning!

UPDATE: this business did refund me my money and I have changed my rating. But I do need to note that they did not want to refund me until I deleted my review. I told them that I would amend it. I paid $40 for dip nails and they are all peeling off less that 4 hours from when I got them. They were not very friendly when I requested the refund.

Love this place. The owner is so nice, everyone is smiling and welcoming and true to their word on timing. It was busy but they hustled to get everyone in quickly with great service!

Absolute worst experience ever. Was seated immediately but then after 1 1/2 hours and extremely cold water my pedicure finally began. The lady refused to do French tips on my toes telling me my nails were too short. Not to mention her hand was bleeding and she didn’t put a bandaid or glove on it. Will never ever be back

I just got done reading the reviews and it’s so hard for me to believe that people are giving this place more than one star.. they don’t even deserve that. I just got my nails done on Friday and already missing one. I was there for FOUR HOURS getting my nails done. They were so crooked and nothing I even asked for and they looked at me stupid when I demanded them to be “fixed”.

I wish I knew the womens name that worked on me because she was very polite. Its good staffs! I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks.I will only go to here. Its great products.

I am new to the area and found this nail salon by searching on google and they had pretty decent reviews so I gave them a try.I usually have gel names but was tending towards ombré.Now mind you I am not a nail tech and know nothing about them.The nail tech that did my nails assured me I would like them and looked at a clients nails that he did and they did look nice.I went on to ask my nail tech if I decided to go back to gel was that possible..His reply was this...”Yes you can go back to gel,all you have to do is pick out the gel color I would like and get my regular fill in..Well needless to say this was not true at all..I went to another nail salon and was told to go back to gel I would have to remove the nails and start all over.I was never told this.Had I known I would not have went with the ombré..My tech was Jimmy!I would like to address that you can not lie to a customer just to make a “buck”!I do not recommend this place at all due to the fact he would say anything to make a dollar!That is not professional at all!

Worst pedicure of my life. Went in with my 2 friends tonight and it was a horrible experience. My two friends got a massage and I requested the exact same pedicure and barely got the lotion fully rubbed in. They also got the hot towel on their feet. I did not. I’ve been here before and got a full acrylic set and they were also awful. The tech put too small nails on my nails so they looked AWFUL. I figured the pedicure would be different than the full set but NOPE!! The guy that did my friends pedicure was so very RUDE!!! Please do not waste 25$ on this basic pedicure that you could have done at home with a scrub brush and your bathtub. I’m so disappointed. Lesson learned for that’s for sure!! I wouldn’t even give it one star if I didn’t have to!!!!

This is the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had!! I am extremely impressed by these women - they super friendly. And the place is really nice and clean! Would recommend!
