Just went in to get a haircut and met Chuck and Cody and found out that Chuck was the new owner! He’s been here for about 5 months and Cody has been here for a few weeks. Same classic location but with a new atmosphere and great customer service. Cody gave me a great cut and I talked to both of them for a few minutes afterwards. If you’re looking for a great haircut at a good price with some friendly people this is a good place to start. If you’re someone who had been turned off by the old ownership go ahead and give the new guys a shot

I had a great time at Katy Gentlemens barbershop, not only was the service much faster than that of a nearby Super cuts, it was also slightly cheaper. Conversation was good and the place was clean. I would-and do-recommend this barbershop to any man in need of a good haircut.

Success!!! I found the perfect TRADITIONAL BARBERSHOP. After calling several other places... third time was the charm! The staff was friendly and helpful. Found out the owner was a veteran like myself, I always try to support veteran owned businesses. I’m 100% satisfied with the fade and beard trim I got... next time gonna treat myself to a straight razor shave, definitely coming back. I FOUND MY BARBERSHOP!!!

This place has changed hands several times, but its back with the original owner. Always quick, and do exactly what I say. Pricier then some, but i always get a repeatable hair cut and to me that is worth the money.

Good friendly people with a nice atmosphere great prices actually a little cheaper then some cuts but the hair cut wasn’t that great at all I pretty much asked for a buzz cut and when I looked when I got home I had balled spots but my fathers hair was cut really well by the lady there I think it would of been better for me if the gentleman would of took a bit more time on the cut I’ll probably go back anyway because the fade he gave me was really good

Ive been getting my haircut here for nearly 2 years. I was so upset when the hurricane took it out for a few months and had to pay double at another barber shop. If youre looking for a great conversation, and a great haircut look no further. I cant say enough great things about Bernice and Chuck, they both make me feel so welcome every time I come in for a trim. I highly recommend this barber shop and look forward to every haircut I get from them.

After losing my original barbershop to Harvey, I tried multiple barbershops around Katy area only to walk out of the shop with a butchered fade and the top so short I couldn’t style it at all!I finally settled for Supercuts, but my wife would always crinkle her nose when I got home and point out all the spots they missed and just got me even more frustrated!!! 😔I miss my barber😔One day driving down 90 I spotted Katy Barbershop and stopped in to check it out. Angel greeted me with a smile and got me right on the chair. I was a little nervous as this was my first time here and he was cutting my hair with my back to the mirror. Once he finished he gave me a mirror, slowly opening my eyes I looked in the mirror to see he cut my hair perfectly!!! Clean lines, tight fade, perfect length off top! After getting home my wife noticed my haircut and did her normal inspection, but to her confusion she asked if Supercuts got a new stylists cause she really likes it!!! WIFE APPROVED! #foundmynewbarber

If you want a great cuts without all the corporate BS,Then this might be the shop for you.Came in as a first time customer didnt really know what i wanted . I threw out a bunch of nonsense . And the staff knew exactly what i wanted . I have tried a few shops around the area so far this is the best in Katy.

Just moved from Nashville and needed a cut, walked right in and told them what I needed. Bam, done perfect in about 15 minutes. Priced lower than most. Barbers are very interesting and personable.

Great place for a no nonsense mens cut. The straight razor shave on the back of the neck is awesome. This should be your new barber.

If youre trying to get a cut in the morning, DONT come here. COULDNT even open 30 MINUTES after their open time on google and I DOUBT the service would be great based on the review responses. Chuck needs to be REPLACED with a more ORGANIZED store owner.

If you care about your BEARD do not go here. I received a haircut and beard trim from an elderly lady that worked there. Things were fine until she started to trim my beard. I had to ask her to blend my sideburns from my beard into my head. She was just going to leave a line where it was short on one side and then longer on the other....what the..? Unfortunately she also took a chunk out of the side of my beard and tried to blame it on anything she could, even though the other side was perfectly fine. Then for some reason instead of stopping things right there I let her trim my mustache and she went at it with clippers and when she didnt get the angle right she took a chunk out of my mustache. It didnt even match the other side of my lip. At that point I wised up and just put an end to it. I was afraid if she tried to fix the other side it would just end up worse. I wasnt expecting a lot, I just wanted everything even and balanced.The haircut as far as I can tell was fine...Im pretty low maintenance there. But, if you have a beard you care about then spend the extra money and go somewhere else or do it yourself. Ive been growing it for almost a year and now there is a chunk out of the side. If you are looking for a simple hair cut where no scissors are involved then she might be the lady for you. If you are looking for a beard trim then stay far away. If she didnt know what she was doing I wish she just would have said she doesnt do beards! Anyways, just wanted to warn people because I thought this would be a good place since it mentioned beard trims.

Katy Barber ShopThis is a clean well-kept facility I have visited this place about five times in the two years of living in Katy. I was trying to get things done today and I choose Katy for my immediate needs. I walked in the door of the barber shop and the gentleman wearing the cross and white barber attire said very loudly can I help you? In my confused moment I asked this is a barbershop; I would like a haircut and shave. His tones toward me changed and said have a seat please. Now if he had stopped there I would have said nothing but this person said that someone dressed just like me was servicing his toiletries just yesterday and did not understand why “they were back”. So the hair cut was easy take it all off (not much there) now the shave was awkward between his shaking hands and deep breathes was a little concern. Now there were four new customers and each time the greetings were the same “hello and how are you”. So the job was done and must say it looked good. So I asked what the damage since there was no pricing has posted. The walk out the door cost was $43.00 for this fine haircut and shave. To me the price seemed quite high but not a problem since it did not feel this Christian atmosphere was welcoming

These pieces of garbage completely took advantage of my mother and shaved my sons head. Both of them. My daughters hair was fine. On top of that, when I called the supposed owner he was full of excuses blaming my mother simply because she has an accent. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Be glad partner that we arent somewhere else, in a high altitude desert with no one but Afghans around.

I am posting on here without actually visiting the shop. I cannot say anything about the way they cut hair. I will say that I am looking for a new barber for my husband because his no longer cuts hair. I have been reading reviews and shopping around. After reading these reviews and seeing the owners responses, I will not be choosing this barber shop. Your responses are unprofessional and to say it kindly, down right rude. Just giving you a little word of advice, when responding to reviews apologize and ask them to contact you directly to discuss the matter at hand. Do it through a private email. Everyone can read your responses and, in this situation, your responses have lured me away. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you work on your professionalism.

Im no expert at haircutting, but I like this place, the atmosphere and the people. Would recommend and will definitely go back.

Today was my 4th haircut at this establishment. The first experience was good. The 2nd experience the owner was a little rude and did not cut my sons hair very well. The 3rd Visit the owner did not cut either head, a woman cut mine and a very nice man cut my sons and did a decent job with what he had from the last cut. Today was my last and final cut. I have been in the process of growing my hair from extremely short to long on the top and short on the sides. Today I wanted to bring the top shorter for a cleaner look and even presented a picture of what I was attempting to accomplish. Not knowing I walked in 20 minutes before close which was probably the REAL problem the owner informed me it wouldnt work because my hair was messed up the fade was too high. The fade had grown out but whatever. Its been probably 3 weeks since last cut. He proceeded to cut my hair lasted I would say less than 10 minutes gave me a quick look and said 15 dollars I gave 20 and said keep the change. Well when I left and went to a friends house he pointed out that in the back I was cut too deep in a specific area and also noticed he went way too high around my ear. I was horrified at the lack of quality so quickly called to tell him I was coming back so he could fix it. He replied with well I told you your hair was messed up when u got here. When I arrived and showed him and said see this is not my hair its your cut. He replied well you move around alot as if I was a child squirming in the chair. I am 35 and have never had this problem even when I was getting high and tights in the military for 5 bucks. He gave me a 2 second blend which Im still probably going to have to get fixed says here is your 20 back find another barber. You are classless and unprofessional and I only wanted you to fix your mistake. Even if you had not told me to find a new barber I would have done so on my own but now I will tell everyone in the katy area to avoid this establishment.

I have been going to the Katy barbershop for several months and had a good experience. however, the last two haircuts were provided by the female barber. the first hiarcut and beard trim were fine but, i had asked her not to touch the mustash but she trim it anyway. she made changes to my mustash i didnt like so the second time, i said dont touch the mustash . she did anyway and deliberated messed it up. i had to go to another barber to get it corrected. thats it. never again. i wont be back.if you read the responses from the owner to the comments here, youll get an idea of the attitude at the Katy barbetshop.

They were nice. The guy there cut my hair i told him to fade me and straight razor edgeup, instead, i walked out of there with a fad that i couldnt notice and he royally fu@ked up my hairline. Im sorry, the male isnt a real barber and he carried himself in a way as if he knew everything. By far, not a great experience and i will definately never go back to this shop again unless it is for just cleaning u my neck PERIOD.
